5461  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Singapore introduces new digital payment legislation on: January 31, 2020, 03:55:55 AM
This however will be good. Legislation helps to bring coordination and fear in the things we do. Moreover, it will protection the investors. I think this is a step that other countries can look into so that investors won't keep panicking.

If you wanted to look then see how Japan is enforcing as far as regulatory framework in crypto-sphere. Of course there could be some loopholes that needed to be address here, like hacking KYC/AML procedures, but Japan regulations should be a good gauge here.

I guess the Singapore government just wanted to make it "official" and say, here is our digital legislation. So that they can attract more projects to make Singapore a home for ICO projects and fundings and be one of the safe haven in Asia.
5462  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: January 31, 2020, 03:36:03 AM
I think $10,000 is the dream for a longer period of time, so i think a lot of people will sell at that point. I believe it will stay around $9,300-$9,500 for awhile. It took 3 days for the price to go from $8,300 to $9,300 and it will take at least one week to go around $10,000. When it finally hits it many people will start selling, so probably it will go down a little, $10,000 is a mental barrier for many people. Thereby, I personally think, it's going to hover around $9,300-$9,500 for next weeks or even months. Then, in May it will see gains again. But, I don't think it has a chance of breaking ATH this year.
Tough to predict that, but halving always bring good sign after. If history will repeat itself and the cycle runs the same it's not impossible to see another high or even reached the last time ATM..but only if most traders will try to push it forward and not to quickly dumped after seeing a good value.

In case we don't break ATH this year, what should we expect of 2021? Maybe dropping after a general disappointment? I'm afraid that if 2020 doesn't break 20k, 2021 will very probably show lower results than 2020 so maybe going out should be considered if halving doesn't provoque a good enough spike the months after taking place. (and jumping back like a year later).

You are still a newbie after-all so you should correct your mindset. I'm not seeing the price going to or breaking all-time-high this year. Why? because investors are now getting smarter, there are no more irrational buyers just like we witnessed in 2017. Now investors are not that dumb to fomo, of course there will be a time that fomo will get the better of the majority, maybe when we reach $10,000 again.

During the last halving, it take months, not weeks, to finally see some semblance of a bull run. I'm not saying it might happen again, but don't look at halving as some sort of magical bean that will suddenly turn the market around and go for a new all time high. Let the market flow its normal path, and see where will it in 2020 or 2021.

Hi guys I would like some guidance and a understanding on trading I’ve been all over the internet and I just don’t know who to trust and get valuable feedback from what are your opinions on trading as a whole and in what direction do I take my first step

Perhaps the best thing to do is to register on an trading platform and try to play with the system. You don't need to subscribe to these so called experts who give TA, it's better if you learn everything thru experience. You can start with small amounts, again, just to get a feel on what trading is.

And then if you are that confident enough, then you can go and seek other crypto trading platforms out there and see how it goes for you. Remember that is not not going to be a smooth sailing specially in the beginning, there are a lots of ups and downs. Just keep going and chase your dreams.
5465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4years Cylce by Bob lukas on: January 30, 2020, 08:35:34 AM
I believe in the 4 year cycle of Bitcoin because the halving is scheduled every 4 years and we have seen this impact on the price in the last 2 cycles. It’s just inevitable that the halving is going to I influence the price in a major way every 4 years.

That is the premise in the first place, block halvening every 4 years, so obviously, there could be a big impact on the price. To be honest, I didn't watched the video but I would just like to comment based on my experienced in the crypto sphere.

Yes, we can claim that the market's data is not that sufficient to say that there is indeed a 4 year cycle, but I tend to believed that crypto investors are somewhat influence by it and to some extend happened, just like what we see in 2017.
5466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 30, 2020, 08:05:48 AM
Finally Thiem was able to beat Nadal in a Grand Slam tournament. Thiem does have a good record against Nadal in the lead up tournaments but not in Grand Slams so it was good to see him get the win in a close fought match. Well we know for sure that one young talent will be in the final against one veteran, its just hard picking who will win.

Yeah, it was a big win for Thiem and could be a sign that really the young players are coming out this 2020. It was really a hard and close fought match, that can either swing, but Thiem just hold on it psychologically and this is a big career boost win for win. I agree that he is favored to win against Zverev. In less than an hour, we will see Djokovic vs Federer now, tennis fans are going to love this match for sure.

But wait, did you see what happened on the ladies side?

Muruguza outclassed Halep and Barty (number 1) lost to Kenin.
5467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Chaum's XX Coin on: January 30, 2020, 07:42:57 AM
They are still on their ICO stage. I wonder why they only used signature campaign for their promotional marketing for the xx coins. I just saw their signature campaign launched today and the rates is quite good. I think they should also launch a campaign in altcoins for social campaign and other useful medium such as youtube to gain and attract more investors. ICO nowadays hasnt trusted much so they needed enough boost.
It looks like a good move for them.
Some of the users here doesn't really know about him or it.
Now, I am reading more about it.
The signature campaign haven't even started and its all working out fine.

A good way to attract more investors and maybe to scatter everything in social media.
Yeah, signatures does really work and we are seeing the fruit now.

Well they just started this signature campaign in the community and we all know that it is one of the most effective way to popularize or at least gain awareness of their project. So we should understand where the project is coming from, offering high paying rates for their signature campaign and not some other bounties that will take lots of members to spam this community. This is a good marketing ploy on their end, maybe we can see other social media campaigns coming from them in the future, so bounty hunters, stay tune.
5468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next action of Old man McAfee on: January 30, 2020, 05:34:47 AM
LOL, How the hell he can call Bitcoin outdated when he himself promoted it for sometime even shilling for it to reach $1 million. But then again, this kind of personality is what makes them eccentric, suddenly changing stance because they know it won't benefit them at all.

So be it, he has no reputation to begin with, so I don't understand why we still need to talk about him. He can tweet whatever he wants, and Bitcoin enthusiast doesn't give a f**k.
5469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 30, 2020, 05:03:50 AM
Speaking of Bob Arum:

Conor McGregor's Manager: Bob Arum is a Believer Now as Well

Quote
“[McGregor is] serious about boxing,” Attar told MMA Fighting. “He said it. That’s something that I can tell you, if he says something he has interest in, it’s likely going to happen.”

“We definitely monitor everything. We monitor not only fan engagement and interest from the public, but then you look at who’s out there talking what. Because it could be where we have a few different options to weigh and decide on. At the end of the day, I saw Floyd, I saw Manny and now Bob Arum, who at one point said, ‘It’s not a smart idea to crossover.’ He’s a believer now as well.

“It’s going to be busy, but we welcome that. We’re super excited for it. I think we’re all on the same page when it comes to ambition and goals, and so that’s really fun to see when your entire team is in sync. I think we all welcome that type of work load. We don’t look at it as pressure. We look at it as opportunity.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/conor-mcgregor-manager-bob-arum-believer-now-well--146284

Well Conor already open the door when he fought Floyd and it seems with his recent win against Cerrone, more opportunities are coming. Names like Manny Pacquaio and then Terence Crawford. We might be surprised if either of the fights are going to be made this 2020, specially when there is tons of money in the table for both sides here.
5470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most useful crypto trading bots? on: January 30, 2020, 04:34:31 AM
The only trading bot I'm familiar with in the list are Gunbot to be honest and I'm pretty sure that majority of us here has used Gunbot one time or another in their trading activity.

As for trading bots is not for everyone, yes I totally agree with that statement. I mean if you're a newbie and haven't trade at all or you're not that experience yet, using a trading bot will be overwhelming because of the parameters or setting that you have to make in order to make money. So if you're not familiar with it, I'm sure that you will be loss along the line and you could end up losing money, just saying.

5471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin! on: January 30, 2020, 04:08:44 AM
Doesn't really matter what John McAfee said or will going to say at this point because he is being paid to shill other altcoins. As for his exorbitant Bitcoin prediction, LOL, we all know that it ain't gonna happen, only those who are blindly follow him really thinks that it can reach $1 million.

No sane people are willing to eat his manhood in front of the public, that alone doesn't make sense for not so 'dumb' crypto enthusiast. He just gain more haters now, by making a sudden U-turn.

5473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hello what about matic and tomo saving one year on: January 29, 2020, 10:30:15 PM
I think Matic is good right now, he is a very strong coin that I see

Matic is done, as far I know, well initially there was a lot of hype around this coin, but it looks like it died down already.

I will still prefer the old but still on the discussions as the top altcoins, which is Ethereum, with the whole Defi hype, it might be good to be a bagholder for at least a year. Remember that when Bitcoin will have it's usual bull run this year, that first coin that might get the domino effect is Ethereum so it will be a good investment today because obviously the price is still very affordable and cheap.
5474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 29, 2020, 01:43:07 PM
Dominic Thiem upset Nadal in a classic 4 set thriller, 7-6(3), 7-6(4), 4-6, 7-6(6).

I thought that Nadal will eventually and get thru because he made a remarkable comeback in the third set, and will not face Zverev on semis, together with Djokovic and Federer on the other bracket.
5475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading app? on: January 29, 2020, 08:07:12 AM
I only have the old but reliable Binance apps on my cellphone and some local exchanges to obviously convert USD to my local currency. Although I stay away from trading and just had few occasional buy order to execute in last 2019 up to this day. And we wouldn't like to use TradingView? one of the most useful apps so far we have, regardless if you're a beginner or advance trader.
What do you think when trading still use mobile phone running good or not, I only trade with computer because look easy when opening many tab with checking some altcoin price during trade with some altcoin, I think not easy when trade using mobile phone with many exchange market look hard for access.

I'm sorry but I'm not clear with my first reply, I just downloaded Binance apps on my mobile to just make a quick glance on the price and the movement. But I usually trade with my laptop or pc at home. I'm and old school as others here, prefer the convenience of a huge screen and to minimize mistakes.

So yes, I would have to agree with you that trading using our computers are much easier as compare to mobile, as it has only a small screen to begin with and you might misclick that could lead to a potential loss on your end.
5476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HTMLCOIN exchanges on: January 29, 2020, 07:34:56 AM
Just to put things into perspective:

Quote
HTMLCOIN Price: $0.000099 USD
HTMLCOIN ROI: -82.14%
Market Rank: #431

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/html-coin/

And if you look at the graph, it's pretty much flat-line since July 2018. And it's only been traded on HitBTC (a shitty exchange), and Fatbtc (mid to low tier exchange). So it's obvious that the OP is just shilling for this coin. And I don't know if investors are going to put their money on this shitcoin, sorry.
5477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 29, 2020, 06:26:28 AM
Anybody watching Federer right now? Looks like he is in big problems against Sandgren. Does he have some injury problems maybe? I don't remember ever seeing him losing 4 service games in 2 sets.

Not really sure if he is nursing some injuries but based on his post game interview, he said somewhat in the line that he feels better as the match goes on. So perhaps just a bad start on his end, and what makes it great is that he was able to survived and incredibly saves 7 match point to win a grueling match,  6-3, 2-6, 2-6, 7-6(Cool, 6-3.

Highlights of the game: (https://ausopen.com/match/2020-tennys-sandgren-vs-roger-federer-ms503?wggwr=null#!media?g=video-151001)

Now him and Novak Djokovic will face each other again in the semis, Djokovic beat a resurging Raonic in 3 sets.
For me look like he is going to win again this prestigiuse tournament again he is in good form no other player is able to stop him from taking this trophy Federer last match really good but now age factor is also against Federer as he is one of oldest in top ranked players.

Every player is good as his last match, and so far with Federer saving 7 points en-route to winning then he is really player high level tennis, but so is Djokovic beating Raonic is just 3 sets.

A. Zverev beats S. Wawrinka in a 4 setter with consistent forehands and power serves, I thought Stan will fair good against Zverev but it looks like age is catching up with him. Zverev is the he first German in 11 years to reach a Grand-Slam semifinal, awaiting now the winner of Nadal vs Thiem on the other bracket.

5479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN YOU ARE CONFUSED REFER TO BITCOIN on: January 29, 2020, 05:00:23 AM
One thing I have come to observe in this crypto space is that: people always think the price of bitcoin is too expensive and they try to go for low cap coins that are still developing and will be hoping to cash out big in the long term and increase their bitcoin purchasing power, unfortunately, most times these altcoins that were predicted to grow do mess up investors plan, and instead of them to buy bitcoin this time after the first disaster, they chase another promising altcoin and end up been disappointed, by the time they are set to buy bitcoin their money would have been burnt by shitty new coins. That is a rat race.

Shitcoins will be shitcoins, they are going to under perform no matter what market we are currently in.

I have come up with a conclusion that whenever you are confused about the coin to invest your money, just go long on bitcoin as it has proven to always come back from the dead. In fact, never tell newbies to invest in altcoin when they still understand just little about cryptocurrency and the market. Always point bitcoin to them while they develop their skill in the market.

So which coin do you first advise your student to buy as the learning progresses?

Definitely, Bitcoin has proven in the past that it is very resilient and can bounce back despite so many attacks and its not every comparable to altcoins that we have right now. That newbie mindset boils down to what they supposedly here from so called experts and the media. That altcoin is less riskier as compare to Bitcoin, but after several months they got burn, they lost money from pump-and-dump/trading signal groups and other scam altcoin projects. Not very good experience for a newbie.
5480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ETH-based descentralized casinos on: January 29, 2020, 01:01:12 AM
With the raise of DeFi and solutions like Pooltogether I wonder how I haven't seen some ETH casinos with good reputation where you can simply connnect your wallet via metamask and play games.

are there solutions like that alreadyor nobody came up with it?

This has been discussed in the past as far I can remember, why it didn't get traction from the community? It's because it just make things complicated for gamblers. As what @ agustina2 have mentioned, deposit->play->withdraw, simply as that.

We don't want that whole metamask before we can play. And I guess gamblers mindset is hard to change or at least to convince try a way way to deposit in order to enjoy.
