5461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Block size limit on: August 20, 2017, 02:24:20 PM
Hi, recently i read an article which says that bitcoin block size could be increased from its initial size of 1 MB to 4 MB.Even then,it could support only 27 transactions per second.

Just a correction from real data, 1MB allows about 250.000 daily transactions, which is about 3 transactions per second, so with 4MB onchain scaling you should expect 12 transactions per second. So I dont buying their claim anything above 4MB would suddenly break decentralization, it seems more geared toward advocating currently activated SegWit2x which really delivers about 4MB blocks in November.

I don't think that 4 MB block size is a threat to decentralization. Technology is advancing so fast, and cheaper and more powerful mining rigs are available everywhere. Anyway Bitcoin Cash has implemented 8 MB block size, with a smaller number of miners. Let's see how it goes. IMO, by 2020, technology will be capable of supporting 16MB or 32MB block size limit.
5462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet without transaction fee on: August 20, 2017, 02:19:23 PM
When was the last time when zero-fee transactions got confirmed? In mid-July, when the load was exceptionally low, I noticed transactions with fee as low as 1 Sat/Byte getting confirmed. But even then, I didn't noticed any of the zero-fee transactions getting confirmed successfully. And now the number of unconfirmed transactions have risen once again, increasing the confirmation time.
5463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I NEVER discard private keys even after spent? on: August 20, 2017, 02:13:19 PM
You will get Bitcoin Cash coins only of you had owned Bitcoin on August 1. Since you spent your coins 6 months back, and the balance in your wallet was zero on August 1, you don't qualify for the free Bitcoin Cash Airdrop. BTW, isn't it possible to generate the private keys again? Were you using an online wallet, such as the one from Blockchain.info?
5464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the North Korean government engaging in bitcoin mining? on: August 20, 2017, 02:10:05 PM
There are lots of Chinese people in North Korea. So it is more likely that would be Chinese miners.
Pretty strange though, because, from what I know, North Korea is not so powerful country regarding electricity...

Even in the major cities such as Rason and Pyongyang, the electricity supply is very erratic, and in normal cases people don't expect the supplies for more than 4 hours every day. And another aspect is regarding the internet. Somewhere I learnt that there are less than 1,000 internet users in North Korea, and most of them are hackers working for the dictatorship.
5465  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: August 20, 2017, 01:38:23 PM
Rape doesn't require a penis, but it does require a head.

True. So that means that the punishment can't end with the amputation of the penis. After the emasculation, the criminal should be sent to some remote prison, where he should spend the rest of his life. A rapist can never be integrated back in to the general population. He should be isolated from his potential victims, even after emasculation.
5466  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: August 20, 2017, 01:35:37 PM
Gun control is an effective law if it is strictly implemented and followed because as we can see there are still a lot of people owning guns without license because they can buy it anywhere.

Gun control can be effective only if the government is 100% successful in preventing the criminals from owning illegal guns. But from what we have seen so far, none of the governments have been successful in doing that. That means that if gun control is implemented, then the civilians will be devoid of guns to protect themselves from the gun-bearing attackers.
5467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: August 20, 2017, 01:29:11 PM
When will all use of weed in all countries be banned?

Why you want to ban weed? It is less harmful than tobacco or alcohol. I still don't understand the reason why marijuana is illegal in most of the countries, and at the same time dangerous drugs such as Oxycodone and Hydromorphone are perfectly legal.

One should ban all dangerous drugs. Should weed be legal just because other dangerous drugs are legal, that would make the problem worse.

Weed should be legal because it is not dangerous. Marijuana consumption does not cause any significant damage to the health. Obviously, the drug cartels and the pharma mafias have demonized the substance, by indulging in a negative propaganda campaign against it. But weed is getting legal in many of the nations around the world, and this trend will continue into the future.

Nowadays the president of Venezuela is trying to remake the constitution of the country to changed it at his will and benefict without the opinion and voted of the people of the country, this is an opened declare of a dictatorship in this country, what are your opinion abuot all this?

It's very sad to see what is happening in Venezuela now.
Venezuela is a country rich in oil and other resources, but because of the experiment with socialism Venezuela falls into chaos and falls apart.
Now, instead of democracy they have dictatorship and people don't have any freedom now, stability or security.
I really hope that they will not continue this journey to destruction.

It is the same situation in most of the Latin American nations. Look at Ecuador. They have a dictator in place, who massacred the indigenous protesters in 2009. In the neighboring Peru, you have another dictator who did the same to the opposition protesters the same year. The situation in Paraguay is not any different either. Perhaps Argentina is the only true democracy in Latin America.
5469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity and Genocidal Violence on: August 20, 2017, 01:22:51 PM
Joseph Stalin, an atheist, murdered tens of millions of people by forcing atheist ideology over society. More than anyone in history.

I think that you are wrong. Stalin would be the 2nd worst mass murderer in the history of humanity. The first place would go to Mao Zedong of China. During the Great Leap Forward (1958-62), some 45 million Chinese lost their lives. Out of that 3 million were tortured to death. But there is one thing that connects Mao with Stalin. Both were communists.

In my opinion yes, he wants to be a dictator. But hardly it will turn out for him. Probably protests will outgrow in civil war, where he will not have chances to win. People it needs to be respected.

If the opposition is clever enough, then they should wait for a few more months. The next presidential elections are scheduled for 2018 October. It is around 12 months from now. If the opposition members riot in the street, then it will give Maduro the excuse to declare emergency and to postpone the elections (which he is sure to lose).
5471  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will the world be like in 100 years on: August 20, 2017, 12:24:02 PM
The racial composition will be very different from the case now. Less than 1% of the total population will be white. Up to 50% will be African or other black ethnic groups, with most of the rest being composed of Latin Americans and Muslims. The East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans.etc) will also decline to less than 5% of the world population.
5472  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin on Drug Trade on: August 20, 2017, 12:22:14 PM
this topic makes me think that bitcoin or any currency is already uses in trading drugs or in any illegal transaction online..

Well, that is the truth. In 2011-2012, As much as 20% or 25% of all the Bitcoin transactions were drug-related. Now this proportion has declined to less than 2%, mainly thanks to the rise in the exchange rates. Also, a lot of the dark markets have closed down, including Silk Road, Silk Road 2.0, Agora, Alphabay, Sheep Market Place, and Hansa.

According to reports, South Africa paid $10 million bribe to become host of World Cup 2010. And they offered more money than another African country Morocco.

Nothing of a surprise there. All the major sports events are purchased by the nations which can afford to spend good amounts of money to bribe the voters. This is true with the football world cup, and even the Olympics. That said, the hosting of the world cup in South Africa was widely considered as a success for the FIFA. It gave football major inroads in to the African continent.
5474  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 15yo girl raped by 3 migrants (afghan and somali) in little austrian town on: August 20, 2017, 12:09:11 PM
Europe too patient to the emigrants. It was needed to catch these animals that raped a girl and to cut off genital organs to them, that anymore never able them to take advantage of on purpose.

Most probably, these Afghan/Somali barbarians will claim that they are under the age of 18 years, and they will be let off with a "stern" warning and a few hours of community service. Even if they need to undergo a few weeks in prison, the conditions inside that facility will be like a five-star hotel for these impoverished third world immigrants.
5475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could North Korea really survive if the United States will fire on them? on: August 19, 2017, 02:38:19 PM
haha, North Korea is just provoking Americans, especially trump is being provoked by kim jong... its like in elementary school, that's the level of behaving two of them

It goes both ways. The North Koreans are provoking the Americans by conducting new nuclear and missile tests, while the Americans are provoking the North Koreans by conducting military exercises so close to the maritime borders of North Korea. As long as these remain as provocations, I simply don't care. But they should not step over the line.
5476  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Renewable Energy on: August 19, 2017, 02:35:21 PM
I made a research a couple years ago about the prospectives of renewable energy and it showed that it's not just something helpful for us to take care of our planet, but is also worth it from economic point of view

Could you please explain the economic prospective? The main drawback about renewable energy is that it is not affordable to the majority of the world population. For example, electricity generated from the solar panels cost as much as 4 times than the same from nuclear or hydro power plants. Solar panels need constant maintenance as well. Check this:

5477  Other / Politics & Society / Re: National interests of Russia on: August 19, 2017, 02:26:22 PM
"if your neighbor is Russia, then you can be either a vassal or an enemy"

None of the neighbors of Russia (apart from Ukraine) have any problems with that country. And none of them are forced to be vassals of Russia, including its eastern neighbors such as China, Japan, Mongolia and North Korea. Countries such as Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have been self-declared enemies of Russia ever since 1992. But Russia has never invaded or bullied these nations.
5478  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: August 19, 2017, 02:24:18 PM
I think for you who stress it would be nice you to masturbate instead of drinking alcohol because it is not good for your body while masturbation does not have to spend money and not damage the body with a note every three days you do it dont do every day .

ROFLMAO. Masturbation is a strict no-no, if you are a religious Christian. According to the Christian pastors, one drop of semen comes from 100 drops of blood. So if you ejaculate 5 ml of semen as a result of masturbation, you are losing 10% of all the blood in your body. And don't get me wrong. I am not retarded to believe all this.
5479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Surgut terroristic act. on: August 19, 2017, 02:22:20 PM
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the latest attack in Surgut. Even earlier, there were numerous reports of Islamic extremists concentrating in Surgut and the other cities of HMAO. And know what, Surgut is located close to the village of Sagra, where a major gun battle between the Slavs and the Muslims occurred a few years back.
5480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think ISIS uses Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2017, 01:53:07 PM
Wouldn't matter if they did sometimes, because I'm sure they are mostly using cash.

Hard cash and bullion. When they invaded Mosul, they looted more than $300 million worth of US Dollar banknotes from the local branch of the central bank, on top of several tons of gold. They have received their ransom payments in US Dollar and other fiat currencies. And most of their revenues from crude oil / antique smuggling have also been in fiat cash.
