5461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stick to the same option or switch to another option? on: September 25, 2019, 01:27:14 PM
There were hundreds of ponzi schemes that used cryptocurrency for attracting their potential victims. I think many have already understood on how this market works. Last year, it was full of disappointment because many expected that it will also be the same as 2017 but it didn't happen.

Well, last year was a wake-up call to most who thought about this market as a source of rich quick schemes or overnight success.
5462  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening with Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2019, 01:02:36 PM
We have the right section for bitcoin price-related topics and as well as the predictions on Speculation.

No one can predict the price of bitcoin exactly and as for the bounce back, as someone who has seen the dumps and pumps for the past few years the answer is very simple and it's a yes.

I've heard a lot of sad stories with upwork and there's nothing you can do now but to accept it and move on through looking for a new platform to work with.

Take a look from this list: https://financesonline.com/top-20-freelance-websites-for-beginners-and-professionals/

What if your fortune is with any of those platforms? good luck Many Coins on your freelancing career.

This is the article that you are talking about;

https://www.coindesk.com/ciphertrace-scout-app-takes-crypto-investigations-mobile

They can develop that app if they want to as long as they think it's going to be useful and beneficial to the majority, why not? But in reality there really has an increasing number of trading in those areas.

but it was valuable to the majority there, for me, I didn't think it was an important project. such projects will only lead to excessive pros and cons. I think that such a project will collapse in a matter of time and there are still many projects that have a better vision than the project.
Regardless of what the majority thinks about their project, if they have been committing time for its development they will continue the project no matter what happens. Ciphertrace has been serious with their vision.

And as a matter of fact, I keep seeing their ads on the youtube videos that I watch. I won't think that it will collapse soon, give it time and let's see if it will become successful on both ends, the users and developers.
5465  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price dropped down to $9,500 today. Wanna know why? on: September 25, 2019, 04:55:23 AM
There has been no activity for the past month regards to its price so it would just be drop or rise. Well, the winners would still be the people who see long term on bitcoin and starts to see this as a moment of buying cheaper bitcoins.

I'm aiming for $7k in the coming weeks. It might not be a very popular opinion, but it will provide a good buying opportunity nonetheless. It's up to the people to utilize that opportunity.
Possible.

If ever happens, I'll be quick to buy the dip.

5467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think about this 2 alts? on: September 24, 2019, 10:35:39 AM
Xtrabytes and Safex?

Can you be a little specific which safex you are referring here?

I've seen to project with the same name.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/safex-cash/
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/safex-token/

And I also remember in the past there's a project name safex that was delisted from Bittrex and its volume are slowly dropping, don't know which of the 2 or it was also delisted in cmc.
I think it was the 'token' while the 'cash' doesn't have any other information base on CMC. It has a huge market cap but the volume is dead @ $1,186.

Same goes for xtrabytes as pointed out by panganib99. Instead of investing to both of them or any of them, choose wisely.

Don't believe with promised profit. All of them are scam unless they are a known company that legitly operates. And be informed that most of the cloud mining / mining software service are likely to be scam except those legit that gives almost no return.

5469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: buying/selling litecoins? advise pls on: September 24, 2019, 08:14:47 AM
Litecoin is a good choice to make small investments. Binance is a best platform to buy or coinbase is also safe. Not sure whether this would be the first choice for investments though.
Litecoin is still one good choice for altcoins. It's old but it's never been too old for investors that are looking for the best altcoins. Same as ethereum, you can have as many litecoins as you have depending on how much you want to invest.

If you want to invest an important amount of money, you should better opt vor Bitcoin, not Litecoin.
Bitcoin should be the first option but if someone already has it and just want to diversify his portfolio with another cryptocurrency, Litecoin is a good choice than other altcoins that we just see here and being suggested by a stranger.
5470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn free altcoin ?? on: September 24, 2019, 05:59:02 AM
Be grateful that you have 0.01BTC right now. Don't spend it and treat it as your best investment today. The thing that you can do is to buy more and if you don't have cash the right thing that you can do now is to get employment.

Buy bitcoin using the salary you will earn from your day job.
5471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 24, 2019, 03:01:34 AM
The nets gave him $100m+ contract, I'm sure they arent going to let a player say when they are hurt and not hurt after an Achilles injury.  The medical staff will have to clear him to play before durant gets any say on if he plays or not, that's what the team medical staff is for.
Yeah they've invested that much to him and there will be a sure return to the management. They wouldn't waste a big amount if its necessary, I think he's already well and can play but not to the extent of his superior before.
5472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price prediction, Crypto Currency Journey Planning. on: September 24, 2019, 02:15:52 AM
There were too many predictions already that you can find on Speculation.

My prediction for Bitcoin price is that Bitcoin can break a new record in 2020 by reaching a value between 25k and 30k dollars. After that I expect a retreatment to 15k dollars. After that, It can reach a new record like 50k dollars in a few years.
Seems reasonable and not that too high unlike the other predictions for long term. The possibility that we may reach all time high by next year is because there's an interesting event that will come which is the halving.
5473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could invest in a project with it's own hardware device, WOULD YOU? on: September 23, 2019, 09:09:18 PM
That's an interesting question, well if it is Ledger then I guess I might buy a few tokens from them.

But I don't think that they have that kind of idea right now. That should be the mentality of most manufacturers, they should focus on what they do and there's no need to confuse their users whether to make one coin of them and hardware wallet.
5474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When thinking forward always think backward on: September 23, 2019, 04:17:55 PM
Selling at loss isn't desperation but it is a strategy when you see the market as not favorable to what you like. This strategy is effective to cut your losses and to avoid the potential further losses.

And that token that you have mentioned which you saw from $1,500 to $200.

I think it's ethereum but it wasn't $1,500 but $1,400.
5475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A True Cryptocurrency must start with the fundamentals on: September 23, 2019, 11:34:16 AM
You are too being technical which can't be understood by the usual users and investors of cryptocurrencies.

What's this flywheel model that you are trying to explain? is this another concept that a project tries to make it popular? Bitcoin is far from a total monetary solution? how could that be if it's the reason why cryptos were born and if its not because of it, do you think ideas of creating newer altcoins will come?

Taking the example of being far from that and let's take it a yes. It's because of the conflict of the gov't implementing rules which others might not agree into its purpose.

Touché.

My being too technical was intended to filter out the usual users and investors of
crypto-systems for a more seasoned, sound and serious discussion.
I understand your point of eliminating those investors that just comes in because they've heard that crypto is something new and they can also profit with it despite not going deep with it. But they are all starting and most of us came from that point. Once they go deep with those fundamentals that's the turning point if they'll go serious or not.

As to the Flywheel Model, although no longer taught at the business universities, is at least as old as recorded history and far from another concept that a project could make popular. Although much is written on the subject, suffice it to say, that in my humble opinion, the Flywheel Model/Effect is the missing link in strategically unifying the real-world of tangible value creation and the world of crypto-systems.

Flywheel Effect: Why Positive Feedback Loops are a Meta-Competitive Advantage

I don't see Bitcoin as a complete Monetary solution because it lacks the fundamental design, engineering and architecture necessary to serve a community in the hundreds of millions, not to mention the billions.

As I stated in the opening of this thread, the Monetary Eco-system and the currencies that will ultimately succeed, have not been Visioneered and brought to market yet.

In closing, gatekeepers implementing rules and regulations should be sidelined, not complied with.

Thank you for your thoughtful and considered response. I look forward to a deeper exploration of what I intend to be a most productive conversation.

This is kinda long but thank you for this and I'll read this whole thing afterward.
5476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to chose nano ledger hardware wallet on: September 23, 2019, 10:49:12 AM
2. The Ledger Nano Wallet uses another level of security, you will have to set up a passcode known to you only so even if the wallet was stolen or lost it will be useless to the ones that steal it.
I see a loophole within this feature, the passcode completely resets after 3 mistakes and to access your wallet it will now be through the recovery phrases/mnemonic words that you have saved.

Why I've said about it as a loophole? if someone got those recovery words, they can gain access to your wallet and bypass the passcode that you have set before because it's already been reset but as long as no one knows those important words, you are fine.

This happened to me when I forgot my passcode but I can also be wrong on this part.

However, I'm a ledger nano S user and I feel secure with this wallet very recommended.
5477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many ICO / altcoin scams? on: September 23, 2019, 09:24:31 AM
When you say free then expect that everybody is there and every classification of human is free to join regardless of their intention.

It's a fact that many still don't understand what cryptos' really are. To the new ones that thought of it as an investment that will make them rich overnight needs to study more about it. Crypto isn't just all about what they've thought, it's more than that.
5478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 23, 2019, 08:21:12 AM
Everyone is now recommending him and as fans, we are on his side. And now, there's another legend that's confident of a team picking up Melo.

Walt Frazier on ‘Melo: ‘I’m confident that somebody will give him a chance’

Lots of recommendations and call from the NBA superstars but still there are no teams that showing signs that they want Melo even at 1%.

It just shows that even Melo can still play 100% and willing to change just to get back in NBA, maybe teams still remember his attitude, behavior and being arrogant in his whole playing career.

Just 1 more season. Want to see the changes in Melo after he realized what's wrong.
We have no idea the reason why the teams don't want to sign him up. It could be the attitude that he showed before but it could also because of some other reasons.

But it seems that everyone is getting pity with his career if ever no team will sign him.
5479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 21, 2019, 11:41:15 PM
He was a great player but the team signs a player based on its current status.
We cannot forget his contribution to the USA basketball as he also lead in winning in the international tournament like FIBA and olympics IIRC.

That's why veterans like to help him because of his status and contribution in the past, but team are getting a player based on what he can offer to the team, this is just purely business and nothing is personal here.
We will never forget the contributions of Melo and on how great he is as a player and being a superstar. Still no clear reasons why most of the teams aren't signing but I'm still hoping for his good fortune that there will be a last minute contract signing.

Melo is a great player and he has the biggest potential to become a good asset for the team. Hopefully more teams will show up and pick this guy and make him a part of the team's journey. If given good chance, I guess this guy will not fail them and his capability will prove that he's worth it.
Everyone is now recommending him and as fans, we are on his side. And now, there's another legend that's confident of a team picking up Melo.
