I'm sure Lebron would bounce back hard because if I'm not mistaken, it was the first time he miss a playoffs since he starts his career in the NBA.

He missed playoffs during the first two seasons in his NBA career.

From 2006 to 2017-2018 season, he never missed playoffs and reached Finals 9 times, consecutively from 2010-18.

What a tiring career. Since Lakers didn't make it again to playoffs last season, I'm sure LeBron miss having a long vacation. He also now enough time for anything including preparation for the next season.

Ow... Thanks for correcting my mistake, its just that I wasn't able to witness Lebron's early stage of journey in the NBA so I miss that.
Anyway, I think it's normal because he starts young in the NBA like Kobe, and after he started to entered in playoffs, he was consistent until he was already consistent to be in the NBA finals, which is a big improvement.

In fact, I can say that Lebron has already accomplished everything as an NBA player, giving championship in 2 different team is a proof that he can play with other teams and still bring the same result, hopefully he can also do that with the Lakers.

Lebron was built to be unstoppable driving to the basket, but as he aged his stamina, agility, speed, and strength will eventually slow down so his last resort would be to improve his shooting percentage, including 3pt shooting percentage which wasnt his game style during his prime.
Even Kobe slowly resorts more on shooting on his 30's plus his body received too much punishment from injuries.

This season will not be all Lebron as he has Davis where he can rely if he will be doubled and based on what I'm seeing in the past, he has more success when he has another star playing with him, usually if they will form a big 3, they will be successful.

Yes, He even said that he dont want the spotlight this time, instead he wants to give Davis the spotlight offensively. Also, he wants to start at PG in the upcoming season ( Im not sure about this, just heard it from the rumors ).

This time around, the big 3 of the lakers are really big, my big 3 is howard, Davis, and Lebron.
Would you agree?

I should say, my big 3 would be Lebron, Davis, and Kuzma. But, Lets just watch out for Howard as I think he is in the best shape physically in his career, he's ripped and lost a lot of weight, which It gets me to thinking he's working to improve his footwork.

People are forgetting how teams are forged and built into existence, you are looking at warriors at their peak (they won that 73-9 season without KD as well but lost in finals) and they think warriors must have drafted lucky or something.

There was so much that went with that team, first Curry-Klay-Dray was drafted of course but at the same time before that 2015 win they were still on their way to be a great team, they sent Monte Ellis to make curry the PG, they made Klay a defensive threat so Curry could focus on offense (Klay got his share as well of course) they literally built the team for years before they were the Warrios we know.

Now, we are sitting here expecting Lebron to make a team that literally missed the playoffs every year since 2013 to actually make them champions, I am sorry but even Lebron is not that good, surely they got a better roster than last year but that doesn't mean everything will click in the first year, could they get a ring? Yeah sure why not, depending on injuries at other teams they could. That doesn't mean they have a big shot though.

Lebron is that good.  The years that he brought the caves to the finals even though they didnt win it is good enough for me to know he can bring any team anywhere.  I mean they were throwing out mo William's, jr smith etc in the starting line up with him cmon lol .

Honestly, it is not even bad. Maybe you can limit the players too much and that is a bad thing but let's be honest here there was a deadline for Free Agency and after that players would be set free and could go to any team they want, players literally notified the board on the minute after they were free which means they have talked with those teams before the free agency started which is literally tampering, if you do it one day earlier than other team could do it a day earlier than you and eventually you will have teams trying to snatch players from their teams years before their contract is up. That is why I honestly feel like there should be a fine line. Is this approach too much from adam silver? Yes, its too harsh but is the current situation too risky? It is. That's why there should be a gray zone.

He was a great player but the team signs a player based on its current status.
We cannot forget his contribution to the USA basketball as he also lead in winning in the international tournament like FIBA and olympics IIRC.

That's why veterans like to help him because of his status and contribution in the past, but team are getting a player based on what he can offer to the team, this is just purely business and nothing is personal here.
We will never forget the contributions of Melo and on how great he is as a player and being a superstar. Still no clear reasons why most of the teams aren't signing but I'm still hoping for his good fortune that there will be a last minute contract signing.

Melo is a great player and he has the biggest potential to become a good asset for the team. Hopefully more teams will show up and pick this guy and make him a part of the team's journey. If given good chance, I guess this guy will not fail them and his capability will prove that he's worth it.

I don't think so. Man come on, he already past his prime and still you want me to believe that he's still a good asset for any team that would sign him? It's obvious that melo's playstyle is outdated but he does not improve and that what makes him a liability rather than being an asset.

He looks good on that number 7 jersey, hopefully he will not anymore transfer to other team and he will just retire in the team while bringing success to it.
We will certainly miss him next season as its still healing time for him, the injury was serious that it requires a lot of time for him to recover, and I don't trust Irving alone could bring the team to a higher level, I'm not expecting they will win in the East until Durant will come back.
Yeah he really looks nice on that jersey. After his transfer, I think his fan base gets a little lower this time because many doesn't like him to see on a newer team because everyone got used to see him with Warriors.

I just hope that he will get a full recovery.

No, I think this time he will gain some respect from people who hate him joining a super team.
This time around, he joined a team that struggle to be in playoffs  and with him and Kyrie, people are expecting they will reach to the finals and eventually win the NBA finals since these two are proven capable of doing it, but until now, we cannot be too confident, we need to wait and see him back and evaluate if he still play the same way he played with the Warriors.

He is a superstar, I think his fanbase will grow more and him transferring from Warriors won't affect anything. After all he said he didn't feel comfortable in GSW because he wasn't accepted, Lol. We still don't  know though if this is Durant's last stop, if he can't find success then I'm sure he will think of moving to a team that could give him another ring. But let's see, it's too early to say and see him recovered and play first and hope he can come back from that injury and see the same Kevin Durant.

Everyone is now recommending him and as fans, we are on his side. And now, there's another legend that's confident of a team picking up Melo.

Lots of recommendations and call from the NBA superstars but still there are no teams that showing signs that they want Melo even at 1%.

It just shows that even Melo can still play 100% and willing to change just to get back in NBA, maybe teams still remember his attitude, behavior and being arrogant in his whole playing career.

Just 1 more season. Want to see the changes in Melo after he realized what's wrong.

Same as my hopes.
Give him the chance. I do think he already realized it. He just need that one more dance to let them see how he changed already.

If not, then he shouls really sign up in in a different league.
Maybe the Big three, China or Euroleague.
It could pump up his rankings back to a higher number rather than sitting in a couch crying for all the mistakes he has done.

It's interesting to see how he will truly adjust with how he act previously just to have the chance of being signed by any interested teams, that is if there's someone out there who will take the risk. Melo's adjustment from a superstar caliber attitude to a backup player who will do his best just to stay with the opportunities to play back again.

One more chance, same with anyone who's still believing that he still have that guts to show his skills helping the team that will entrust him with the contract.

Even if there will be more that will recommend him to play, it's still up to the team if they will add melo.
The team management knows better as they are the one who will pay for is salary and therefore they will only get Melo if they think Melo is still an asset or a great contributor to the team, but it seems like nothing has happen, Melo still hasn't signed any team.

I don't know if he is the one making it hard for a team or it's just that no team is really interested.

I have to read other sources that covers this story to somehow grasp this new tampering rule. I don't understand why the writer of that article calls it dumb. It's pretty fair imo for the NBA Board to review these rules and enforce it. As what has been said before, it levels the playing field and making sure everyone complies.

Right now, I am trying to sense that there is a blackballed thing going on with Melo, I don't know if he did something wrong with rockets or even OKC because dude is literally not given a contract by force, we are talking about 30 teams and 8-9 man rotations which means 250+ players needed for the league and owners can't possible make us believe that there are 250+ better players than Melo, that is not possible we all know Melo is still a better player than half of the league.

This is why I think this is more personal, either they don't like his character or his treatment to teammates or something, no idea why but its too obvious its not related to basketball. We see players saying "Melo needs a contract" but we never see any player saying "we should sign him to our team", that means maybe even players do not want him on their teams? I don't know but he should definitely be playing based on his talent even now.

Half of it could be the medias fault.
But you are right, it aint skill basis anymore. We know he is still good.
Another half is the possibility of what the media say is true.
If that is the case there could really be locker room problems that is happening.
Some players say he have a bad attitude but it wont be seen when he is on the court but only in the showers.

Yeah, these known players before are pushing the opportunity to him but seems like no team cares at all about him. Maybe if he do a public apology or after finding his own fault and starts to become humble.
I think that there will be a lot of teams that will start contacting him to sign a contract with their team. Yeah he got the plays but in business, it's more about the attitude since skills can be improved overtime.

I agree, media has something to do with it, just listen as to how to attack Melo's personality even after joining OKC and some of them even blame him as to what happen to them the previous years. But media really knows something that we fans can't even believed if it's true or not, specially after a game and inside the locker room. Shouting, blaming each other after a game that fans can't see but media have access to it and reported. But most of the times then added something that creates some negative feelings about a player or even a coach.

The respect is already there because he has won championships, forget about those haters they should be proud of his achievements and just follow wherever he is right now.

We are on the part of assumptions, everything that we see right now is good as viewing but we can't tell the possibilities once the season has come.
