Rohit Sharma is back in the pavillion, and he failed to get in to the double digits. KL Rahul s batting at 30, and India's chances will depend on him and Virat Kohli. If the West Indian bowlers can get these two quickly, then they will be able to wrap up this match. Sheldon Cottrell has been exceptional so far, but he has got only one over remaining.

WI are putting pressure on them with singles and 2s so Virat may take risk to get runs soon with over 11 RRR. Still we have Iyer and Pant too who can manage to get 4s and 6s so hope won't be lost even after losing Virat and Rahul.

It is still a very tight game and the required run rate has now climbed to more than 12 runs per over. India has 9 wickets remaining, and as long as KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are out there, they will be at an advantage when compared to West Indies. All the West Indian bowlers apart from Cottrell have gone for plenty of runs and they badly needs a wicket at this stage.

I still can't believe how we managed to find a way to centralize bitcoin when it was something so decentralized. Guys literally collected over a million bitcoins, how? All because we gave it to them so they can hold our coins for us. Not only they are making so much money thanks to trading fees and withdrawals and purchases etc etc basically everything costs a fee, but they are also keeping peoples bitcoins on their own vaults. They could literally tell people there is 100 bitcoins when there is 50, who would be able to deny their fact?

I seriously think we should be focusing more on DEX exchanges where nobody really gives anyone any money until the trade, there is no deposits and no withdraws, just pure trading between two wallets, technology is there.

In that case Satoshi Nakamoto also holds one million coins. You can't say that Bitcoin is centralized, because 1 million coins represent only around 5% of the circulating supply. The other cryptocurrencies are much more centralized. For example, it is rumored that a handful of promoters hold somewhere between 80% and 90% of all the XRP circulating supply.

West Indies without a strong team posted a total of over 200 runs and India needs 208 runs to win  Cheesy, it is a huge total to chase even for a team like India and they do not have any explosive players and if you are going over 10 runs per over it is difficult for any team and it all depends upon how Rohit Sharma can give them a good start, if West Indies could bowl a good line and length then they can win the match as they have the total to win.

^^^ The ranking for the batsmen looks OK to me. Virat Kohli and Steve Smith are miles ahead of the rest of the pack, and I guess ICC got it right there. But I don't agree with the ranking for the bowlers. IMO, Mitchell Starc and Dale Steyn are better than Pat Cummins, but they haven't played a lot many matches in the recent months. And for the all rounders, I would rate Jadeja ahead of Holder.

WI team got the best t20 format players compared to toehr countries but they still failed to give results when they all are working as a team so what is the wrong with WI team? I feel they lack captaincy who can lead the team members in the right way,if they got someone like Dhoni on their team then they will turn into unbeatable one.

Well... this particular subject has been debated in detail many times previously. The problem is that the WICB can't afford the salaries these T20 franchises pay to their players. After all international cricket is just like any other career option and given the limited time window, I don't think that we can really blame the players. And there is no way we can hold the captain responsible for this. It's not his fault.
5486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 06, 2019, 02:54:39 PM
WI had started batting positively right from the beginning and due to which all the players had played well and batting close to average of 10 runs n over in 16 overs .Hetymer is batting on 55 and seems India would have to chase close to 200 runs .

It was not surprising, with so many T20 specialists present in the West Indian team. They will certainly make 200 plus, and it s going to be a very tough chase for the relatively inexperienced Indian side. West Indies do have some good bowlers such as Sheldon Cottrell and Jason Holder who are very good in this format. 10 runs per over will be very challenging for India.

But then, what do you think will be the situation with social guarantees for vulnerable sections of the population?  The fact is that today a fairly large number of citizens depend on state programs and it is not only in services or public places, like roads or bridges.

IMO, more than 90% of the welfare recipients doesn't deserve the government funds. The welfare system is vastly misused, especially in the developed nations. In order to gain votes, the leftist parties (such as the Democrats in the United States) have made it possible for undeserving people to claim welfare payments. This needs to change.

Well.. I enjoy watching pacers such as Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins destroy the opposition with their raw pace. It is no less entertaining than watching an innings from Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma, where these same bowlers are thrashed all over the park. During the old days, watching Shoaib Akhtar running up to bowl was more stimulating than the morning cup of coffee.
I really enjoyed good contest between batsman and bowlers rather than having a one sided affair, if a batsman scores a century when the opponent is bowling really well then it would be a joy to see a battle like that and in the past we used to see battles like these but now a days the format and the rules are batsman friendly even fielding and bowling restrictions and the size of the ground as we all mentioned are getting smaller.

A part of the blame should go to the emergence of the T20 format. In this particular format, the bowlers are at a heavy disadvantage. The batsmen can start smashing the ball from the first over onward, since they have 10 wickets to spare with 10 overs in their hand. And the bowlers need to concentrate on bowling economically, rather than taking wickets.

You are confusing illegal manipulation with the natural one. Making one side rough by pitching it on the same side isn't illegal. But if you will use sandpapers to rough it that's another story.

Normally the pace bowlers use their towel (or even their trousers) to scratch the ball on one side and then apply their sweat to make that side heavier. This is an open secret and till now no bowler was penalized for doing this. The question is if using the towel is perfectly legal, then how we can say that using sand-paper is illegal? As far as I know, there is no rule which specifically states so.

Agreed. I enjoy watching an IPL match where both teams manage to score something above 180 when compared to a dull one with scores below 100. The batsmen are basically the forwards and quarterbacks of Cricket which is why I have no issues with them being favored more overall.

For quite some time umpiring standard going down so its interesting and welcome move from ICC, let's see how this experiment pans out. Third umpire have to watch every ball now ( Poor guy Grin)

What other job he has anyway? Third umpires are normally consulted only 3-4 times during the entire match, and this particular move will not add much to their work load. After all, unlike the field umpires they are sitting comfortably in AC cabins, sipping tea during the match. Jokes apart, this was a much needed move. A lot many times, competitive matches were ruined by poor decisions from the field umpires.
5492  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: December 04, 2019, 05:22:35 PM
With more news rolling out related to libra common people who haven't known anything about libra and other cryptocurrencies too have begun to explore and know better about it. Mark has planned to use it without any issues, for this each and every user will experience the convenience and usage as it gets ease of accessibility.

On that aspect I need to agree with you. There was a lot of hype surrounding Libra in the mainstream media channels and the decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum benefited immensely from this hype. My worry is that if Zuckerberg suddenly announces that he's dumping the Libra project, then it can have a negative impact on the exchange rate of BTC and ETH.

We no longer have bowlers of the caliber of Dale Steyn, Glenn McGrath and Shoaib Akhtar. The role of the fast bowlers in cricket have been replaced by medium pacers such as Bumrah.

If you want to criticize current system then please use good example. stop living in the past, we have good seam bowlers in the world cricket right now such as Starc, Cummins, Bumrah, Archer, Shami, Rabada etc.

If you consider speed major factor then so called medium pacer Bumrah highest speed is 153 km/h and average is 142 km/h. on the another hand Macgrath highest bowling speed was 145km and average 131km/h.

This was the statement which triggered this debate. As per Sithara007, we no longer have genuine fast bowlers such as Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar. As per JSRAW, this statement is wrong and we have bowlers who can deliver at the same speed.

I tend to agree with JSRAW. Even at their peak form, both Lee and Akhtar averaged around 145-150 kmph (90-93 mph), which is around the same speed at which Starc and Umesh Yadav bowls. But none of the current bowlers have managed to touch the 100 mph mark (161 kmph), which was achieved by three bowlers from the earlier generation (Shoaib Akhtar, Shaun Tait and Brett Lee).

Mitchell Starc came really close in 2015, when he was clocked at 160.4 kmph (99.7 mph).
5494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 04, 2019, 04:39:06 PM
^^^^ I am having mixed feelings about this. If they knowingly tampered the ball, then they deserved some punishment for that (still not sure about the quantum of the punishment). But it is a well known fact that a lot of bowlers do engage in these sort of activities. A lot of them try to change the original condition of the ball. Some of them can be called out as illegal, while some other types may be in the grey area.

That said, it is difficult to digest the fact that two batsmen got suspended for ball tampering. Do you believe that their bowlers are all angels and this plan was only known to Warner and Smith?

Hello! I'm looking for a somebody who knows cricket mechanics well or used to play cricket. I need a person who will go to the matches and bet afterpoints, Im gonna be responsible for the techincal part (accounts, money etc) and provide all instructions to a person who goes to the matches. If it is about you text me, I will pay a lot for kinda simple work.
So you are hiring people to watch the match and how much you are planning to pay them, since it is played in different countries what is the budget for your dream project and how much you are planning to bet every match, this is first time i am hearing someone hiring people to watch a sport so that they could bet, they might be big time gamblers doing that in Vegas but first time in the forum  Smiley.

Think about the legal aspect as well. In countries such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh betting is 100% illegal. If you are unlucky, then you can get arrested and your bank accounts and other assets seized by the enforcement department. Now I am not very clear about what user realscout intends to do, but I suspect that it has something to do with betting.
5496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 04, 2019, 04:26:05 PM
I like the way how India has taken the development process for football purposes. not only football but also various types of sports are getting concern to the Indian Government, It's a praiseworthy job When you have a lot of population and a lot of well established corporate houses who are ready to patronize and give financial support to the specific game, I am fond of Football so I usually look for some football leagues around the world, so I think after China, India also will shine in this biggest game of the world.

Despite all the government support and popularity of the game, China still struggle to qualify for the football world cup (they didn't managed to do so for the 2018 world cup). India fares even worse. They are not even ranked among the top 100 teams as per the latest FIFA rankings. Even small nations such as Iceland are ranked much higher than India.
5497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: December 03, 2019, 05:46:46 PM
Crypto exchanges now compete very fiercely with each other. Therefore, listing the tokens of a competitor's exchange is not profitable for them.

If that was the case, then BNB should not be traded anywhere other than Binance and the DEX sites. And similarly, the trading of Huobi Token would have been restricted to the Huobi exchange. But as I can see from the coinmarketcap data, BNB is being traded in dozens of different exchanges, and some of its largest volumes come from exchanges such as P2PB2B, Coinsbit and BKEX (in addition to Binance, Binance DEX, Binance US and Binance Jersey). Similarly, the Huobi Token is being traded in a large number of exchanges including BiKi, DragonEX and BKEX in addition to Huobi Global, Huobi Russia and Huobi Korea.
5498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 03, 2019, 05:38:54 PM

Hope this helps, Jasprit Bumrah is a fast bowler who clocks over 140 Km/h  and hence he is called as a fast bowler and not a medium pacer, he might not have a fast run up nor action but the ball reaches the batsman at a very high pace.

When I watch live cricket matches on TV, Star Sports always label him as "right arm medium". There is no doubt that he is very quick (and that may be one of the reasons behind his recent injury troubles), but I guess the classification takes in to account a few other things as well (such as the length of the run-up). I am not sure about this.. but someone who knows about it can explain the difference between fast, medium fast and fast medium.
5499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency? on: December 03, 2019, 05:26:09 PM
In the market like this time, I can say that it's very risky to invest in cryptocurrencies, because market is unstable and market cap is too low.  We need a hype like 2017 to increase the inflow to this market, by some kind of investment trend like ICO or IEO.

What is the point in having a spike like the one that we had in 2017, if it can't be sustained? Back then, it was a wild and crazy bull run, which failed in sustaining itself. The correction which followed the bull run left many of the investors in financial ruin. And even now we can find a large number of users, who are stuck with cryptocurrency which was purchased at ATH levels.
5500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are getting smarter but why not developers???? on: December 03, 2019, 05:20:43 PM
Modern investors are very smart and knowledgeable but they are not developers. Investors invaded a number of large exchanges and had a very special influence on the market.

Are you sure that the investors are smarter now? I have serious doubt regarding that. Even recently, many of the scam ICOs succeeded in scamming huge amounts out of the unsuspecting investors. PLUS token scam alone resulted in a loss of more than $3 billion for those who invested in it. Under such circumstances, I can't really agree with your statements.
