5501  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some not so obvious things that damage a country's economy? on: October 23, 2019, 04:09:27 PM
Do you know how much tax has been asked for medicines, alcohol and cigarettes,in most countries it is about 30 to 60% so this give huge revenue to government,Isn't it?

If government making huge revenue then it could leads to make them stronger economy,Isn't it?

Mass production of something will lessen the production cost not going to increase it.

If government care about the younger generation then should have to ban it but increasing or decreasing the taxes doesn't alter the usage or consumption it will makes more revenue.

I apologize because honestly, I have to chuckle on you for that.

60% is too much for a tax, even 30%. I think 15% or less is more realistic. But given the situation that the government wanted to tax as high as 60%, then the company that produces alcohol and tobacco (cigarettes) will lessen its production, thus only increasing its price, but will still yield the same revenue--as they will have less raw materials to process and fewer workers to work with. If they mass-produce even if they know that the government is taxing those products by 30% or 60%, then they're not good businessmen, and they will probably get bankrupt.

Mind you, yes the government influences the economy, but they're not entirely tied to it. I don't know how you view taxes, government, and economy but you should definitely need to do your assignments.

And no, they have no plans on banning alcohol or tobacco, the main purpose of it, is to promote responsible drinking or smoking, and to avoid too much a person should consume.
You need to understand companies are not paying taxes, we (consumers) paying it,so no matter how much tax has been out of for a product it will just weigh on the consumers (smokers and alcholic).

I too knew only when people got better life from a country can be considered as strong economy but is there any country being like that?

And what is that responsible promoting of alcohol? They want their citizens to die slowly? because they need taxes from them.
5502  Economy / Exchanges / Beware of coinbase account closure! on: October 23, 2019, 03:53:08 PM
Today I got a mail from coinbase regarding my account closure due to the violation of their TOS,I am not sure what thing I did violated maybe deposit from gambling site caused this but the good this is they let me withdrew my remaining funds on to their wallet so I didn't ask their support what I did wrong, just withdrew the funds and proceeded to close my account because I rarely use coinbase wallet,so just wanted to let the people to know don't deposit any funds from gambling sites into coinbase account.

Ignore this if you guys already knew about this. Smiley

5503  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some not so obvious things that damage a country's economy? on: October 23, 2019, 07:19:01 AM
From OP's example,if people get less healthier and getting sick from time to time then it will make the economy more stronger only because people have to take medicine too often if they fall sick too often and many countries still have high tax rate for the medical products as well so governments will make more money but the people will be still in poor.

They will be ill and use medical services, but at the same time, many of them will not be able to work and will be treated at home. Same thing with alcohol. Addicted people buy it constantly, but because of this bad habit they lose their jobs. Hence the harm to the economy.

But understand when people addicted to alcohol the government is going to make more and more only people will be poor.

Medical also the same but if government provides the best medical service for free then it will not be a business.

First of all, what drugs do you people take? Seriously, the medicine has huge effects on the economy(?), oh another one, turns out alcohol has massive effects on the economy(?) You guys are exaggerating yourselves.

Do you think taking constant medication is good for the economy(?), for its people(?) I think you're all delusional. And for the record, the economy doesn't work that way, you guys need some simple economics course you need to take. There are a lot more reasonable conditions for an economy to drop.

If an employee gets sick companies would hire/have a temporary replacement to continue the work of the sick person. Problem solved. Do you think companies will just let it happen(?) Do you think all the process/planning/sale of the company revolves only to the sick person(?) Oh, and you mentioned a lot of people will get sick, how irresponsible do you think people are(?), and what is this a plague(?) And I am pretty sure the government does not propagate in using medicine, after all, the medicines are being produced by medically specialized companies that distribute their products to pharmacies, that's how they make their sales. The government is responsible for the permits of operation and its tax as a means of business. And mind you, people being poor are not entirely the government's fault with their taxes and such, sure they play a part in it, but in the end, it falls on the shoulders of these people. The same thing with alcohol, don't blame these things, they're just irresponsible.

I'm going to share what happened here in my country with regard to these issues: There is an increased tax on Alcohol, Tobacco, Confectionary-related products. Because the government saw an abundant increase in the consumption of the said products, they wanted to lessen it. Why(?) because they've noticed that besides youngsters being exposed to Alcohol, Tobacco-related products, death counts also increase for the same reason. Confectionary products are also having an increase because not only these products increase the count of consumption it also increases the cost of production, and not to mention the "import cost" of the said products is quite expensive.

Now I could tell you more but I'm just gonna leave it here.
Do you know how much tax has been asked for medicines, alcohol and cigarettes,in most countries it is about 30 to 60% so this give huge revenue to government,Isn't it?

This could be a good example how HODL should not work, holding with the hope of price will increase next day, next week or next month is really not HODL,we should hold the coin until our goal price reaches whether it should be in a week or year or a decade HODL it until.
5506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A humble request to Yobit Officials! on: October 22, 2019, 04:56:02 PM
Finally there is a change. Shocked

Update: limit from now is only 10 posts / day

Do you guys this will make any changes to the spam they were creating? Yahoo mentioned he still looking them to add merit requirements.

It's much better than before and if yahoo convinces them to add merit requirements then it will be another step towards betterment.
Though, posting limit change is a big step by Yobit which never happened before since the start of Yobit's sig campaigns if I'm not wrong, at least I haven't seen since 2016 (I was a participant in 2016).

Now half spam to deal with if any spammers left in this campaign. Cleaning work is going on without a stop, you know that.
Yes I am aware of cleaning spammers from yobit and 10 posts per day is also a good and convincing but their rules are still making them to be spammers even if they are's spammers so they should add merit requirement along with restricted boards for paying.
5507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't run for merits! on: October 22, 2019, 07:47:02 AM
For newbies of course they're after merits because you can't ranked up if don't have enough merits. Who doesn't want that? Lucky for those already at higher rank because they don't have to do so much in able to ranked up. Merit system is good tho. It mitigates the unnecessary account farming which makes the forum bad because of shitposters and account sellers. That's why merit system was implemented. They have to earn merit first before you reach higher rank. You have to post useful posts and it's up to the merit holder whether we give it or not.
We have merits sources and merit holders, merit sources who will have smerits refilled every month but most of them saying that they can't find enough good posts to award merits and complete their monthly quota,so it made the shit posters to stuck at their current rank forever but not sure about the account sellers who farmed or hacked accounts years ago still selling it but new DT system made them to be dried up to least and soon there will be no more account for selling.

Sincerely, I kinda find it difficult to understand your arguments. Merits are good right? If something is good, people tend to rush for it.
If they got interested to learn more about cryptos then its completely good but they want merit so they pretend to be knowledgeable without knowing in depth of that content.Newbie should chase knowledge and the merit will follow up is my statement.
5510  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and Remittences on: October 20, 2019, 06:55:54 PM
Why is the Libra dream dead? (Which I hope it is.)

Maybe because it's backers are withdrawing from the project and Facebook's prime market US doesn't like Libra's concept.
For the use of remittance, bitcoin could still be a good option. Though it's fee seems large for small transactions, it's much better than swift fees or western union fees for sending remittance. There are other options like lightning network or the BEP2 token from binance but it would depend on the parties involved more than the choice of currency.

Thank you. Yeah, I just read that all of their partners are backing away from it. I just don't trust facebook so I'm glad.
Anything centralized should not be trusted because they can make changes if they want so giving them an upper hand will do more harm than good but I don't think Libra projects will be completely dropped, they will aim to launch it and also will spend millions to attract customers to use their service once they convince government or willing to pay huge taxes for allowing their service.
5511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 20, 2019, 06:23:49 PM
What would happen if people didn't follow greed and projects didn't promise crazy gains? If this was not main theme of ICO craze, but instead - true and honest support?

If you support someone for example through Patreon - you give him money and you don't really think much what will happen with this money - it's lost for you anyway and you feel good for supporting someone you like.

If all ICOs went that route, sure, we wouldn't see such crazy gains but we wouldn't also see such falls. People supporting projects that would fail would probably don't scream "scam scam!" all the time.

If you give a dollar on a street to someone begging, you usually don't follow him later and check what he bought in a store - liquor or food. Yeah, you are dissapointed probably if you see him drunk next day but you simply don't give him more money.

If ICOs was organized more like that, I think it would be much more healthy environment.
So you are suggesting to make millions from million people for free of cost than investing money to find investors?

It will be still scam if that projects didn't go in the way as promised, better don't listen to them  so no one will lose money and no more scam projects.
5512  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't you stop SPAMMERS yourself, admins? #RaiseYourVoice on: October 20, 2019, 05:19:30 PM
Everyone who thinks that "Report to moderator" does the right job? Even some reports go failed because what's wrong in my views, may be correct in other's opinions as everyone has a different point of view and while I'm asking for a temp ban of a specific area a user spams in, the simple logic behind it is to let that user learn about his mistake and not to repeat it. Then the admins should go for temp ban whether it'd be signature based or posting ability and if the behavior remains the same, permaban that user forever.
If someone got lot of reports against them then they will be banned temporarily from forum so asking the specif board ban is like reducing their punishment. But not sure how many reports needed to issue the temp ban but when someone continuously doing it then they are getting banned but we may not aware of it since the temp ban doesn't disable the signatures.
5513  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't you stop SPAMMERS yourself, admins? #RaiseYourVoice on: October 20, 2019, 04:12:25 PM
Merit system was introduced to fight spam which was worse in the past years but now things changing only problem is bounty spammers who had no moderation while enrolled into a campaign.I guess the next step towards fight spam will be disable signature from bitcointalk this is already mentioned by theymos when merit system was introduced.
5514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With this possibly upcoming crisis in mind... on: October 20, 2019, 03:11:07 PM
With this possibly upcoming crisis in mind, what you guys think about investing in stable coins standardised with fiats?
Is is even a thing, that they will sink like a stone, just like fiats will? Are there any mechanisms that can protect such stablecoins?
Or maybe, I have a misconception of the reasons for their existence and nobody is actually hoarding st.coins?
In the recent days the use of tether exceeds even bitcoin usage in the daily trading volume but why people using it,just to convert their profits into stable crypto to avoid fee but for the investment its not even a thing has a reason to be because its literally have the same value of fiat.
5515  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 19, 2019, 08:11:09 PM
I found out about this signature from the YOBIT mailing list.  https://yobit.net/en/signature/details/ There are no such requirements in these rules. How do I know that the bounty gave Yahoo?
You are not posting on Yobit. You are posting on bitcointalk. Bitcointalk has its own rules and you should be aware of them as you are a member of it.
Also, Yahoo62278 is the manager of the campaign you were participating in and you should pay attention to the rules made by the manager.
I, as a member of the bounty, should not care who moderates this campaign. The signature was organized by the YOBIT, I learned about this from YOBIT. The reward for signatures also comes to the YOBIT account. Rules on the exchange page I read. I do not have to figure out who is involved in this thread. So that there are no such problems, the rules in the BTT branch and on the exchange must be identical. In this situation, I’m 100% right and you won’t convince me. I will calm down only when my request is granted. I have seen enough in my life about the disorder and arbitrariness of officials and superiors. I am for justice and truth. Truth is on my side. I hope other participants who have suffered have heard me.
If you don't want to be moderated here, then you must be a spacial participant of cryptotalk who may not need to be moderated by yahoo who is appointed to check quality of cryptotalk participants.

You are not banned in this forum so why you are taking this issue to much deep.
5516  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 19, 2019, 07:23:33 PM
But they do not even give me the right to appeal. Democracy ...

This is not done even in third world countries where dictators rule. Are we for freedom? Right?
This is private forum,if you want democracy you can move to Cryptotalk (the thing you want to promote here). Move on fella you didn't sentenced to death to appeal.
5517  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 19, 2019, 07:00:55 PM
How can I regain the confidence of the campaign and get another chance? Yes, I'm to blame, there were 2 days when I posted too fast. Please consider my request and satisfy, this will not happen again.
I doubt if you will get that opportunity again. Yahoo is a campaign manager who always requests participants to follow high quality standards when participating in the campaigns he manages. He even gives people time to adjust but by the time you are banned then that means it was too much.
The rules were clear but decided to ignore them anyway.
I was banned for writing too fast. I did not write constantly like that, it was only two days. I did not have time. Yes, I'm wrong. But I did not see such a requirement in the rules. I always tried to keep the quality of the posts and not write non-constructive posts. My mistake is that I wrote fast. Even the most violent criminal has the right to appeal and pardon. I am not a criminal.
Who asked you to write fast,if they have 20 max posts per day doesn't necessarily mean you have to hit it hard.

Constructive =/= spam: If you are posting something unnecessarily for financial gains then it also spamming.

You violated the rules of campaign manager so you got removed.
5518  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 19, 2019, 04:10:41 PM

Answer for your question available in the third page itself.Next time read the threads before saying something.

I will not be giving you any chances period. You are a Sr member and should be completely informed of forums policies and should damn well know my policies at this point. You threw your chance down the toilet and it will stay there as far as I am concerned.

I hope everyone else reads this post as well and will know that "no one else is getting a second chance either".

Which means you will not be given any choice so better accept it and move on.
5519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't run for merits! on: October 19, 2019, 04:06:00 PM
Who doesnt want to get merits? Even if you do say that it do changes up your behavior then its your choice. We know that

"merit" is the primary requirement for you to rank up and also most people do know that the higher the rank do earn more in terms of bounties
and signature campaigns or any other related task. This is why they do normally having those aims on how to earn merits.
Even if you dont chase up you would really mind on how to get it faster.
Merit and Activity needed to rankup, but your primary reason for being in this forum is to earn money from bounties and other task then it is primary thing for you. Cheesy

Earn merits which doesn't mean we have to chase it.
5520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't run for merits! on: October 18, 2019, 07:34:35 PM
On this forum, Merit provides great opportunities, so everyone wants it.
Merit doesn't offer anything other than reaching ranks.

Yep. Just reaching ranks means bigger pay in all the bounties, for basically the same job.
The problem is that many come to this forum only to earn money. This spoils the fun in the forum, fills it with nonsense and so on. Many of them may not even care about crypto.

People don't plan for long term and I think that OP should have emphasized this much more: if you go from day one for "how to get merit?", you most probably get either banned for plagiarism in less than a year, either get negative feedback for doing something fishy, either find almost impossible to rank higher than maybe Member. All this meaning no pay or low pay, so the opposite of the initial intention.

OP is right. Learning, reading before answering, keeping the discussions at useful and informative levels will be in the benefit of everybody involved and in a year or two you may be thanking yourself for going on this path.

I just want to keep the things really simple or people may think that this is another thread for merit hunting. Cheesy

Yes long term benefit and also the real benefit can be found from the knowledge we are getting,I really didn't have much knowledge about financial things but now I am managed to understand how to make money work for us and I am making my monthly salary in a week itself by doing trading.

Everyone have to utilize the knowledge found here in the right way not just for the bounty post quota.
