5501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling.. way to loss on: March 23, 2019, 04:00:30 AM
I don't think any person with an average IQ would think that gambling is a way to earn profits. It's always a form of adrenaline based game, to give you excitement and pleasure.

If you want to invest, invest in your own business before you invest in other people business.

-750,000TPS
-anon transactions
-quantum resistant
None of these are the main determiner of a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a proof-of-work, competition-based system, to make the network super secure.

Will Elixxir be the next bitcoin?
Nope.
5503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid Reasons to Invest in Cryptocurrencies in 2019 on: March 22, 2019, 12:56:20 PM
Definitely, people who enter the market in 2019 will have the upper hand than the one who bought in 2017 and 2018. The price is reasonable at the moment then you can always dollar cost averaging. However, the price still can go even lower than this.

Other than the price factor, some cryptocurrencies also showed good progress in its use case, e.g., EOS, BNB, XLM, etc.

[LiteCoin] on: March 22, 2019, 08:58:18 AM
Jadi misalnya ane punya satu Bitmain Antminer L3++ 596.00 Mh/s, 1050W
Ane akan mendapatkan:
0.031749 LTC/hari, atau ~$1.9 (dengan nilai tukar 1LTC = $60).

Biaya listrik sehari:
1.05 kWh * 24h * $0.1 = $2.52 (dengan harga 1kWh = $0.1).

https://whattomine.com/coins/4-ltc-scrypt

5507  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anything been a good hedge against a financial crisis? on: March 21, 2019, 04:34:08 AM
what else?
These items should be very valuable when the real crisis occurs: canned foods, bottled water, gasoline, gun, and ammo.
At least try to stock these items before you hoard gold, bitcoin, etc.

I like the feature to customize prizes on this casino! The curiosity to find the pattern to beat the system is really addicting.
Do you guys have information/blog post about this optimum combination?
5509  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Kenapa ada si Dia ?? [LiteCoin] on: March 21, 2019, 04:09:26 AM
Bagaimana menurut pandangan Om enrico..

Ada/semakin banyak serangan -> road to dogecoin Grin
5510  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US dollar backed by oil? What do you think? on: March 21, 2019, 03:49:01 AM
The first video is about the bitcoin bubble and the second video is explaining the petrodollar and the US/Saudi Arabia relationships. The petrodollar conspiracy theory sounds pretty good to me.
It's not a conspiracy theory in my opinion since political science often uses it as a case study.
It's a fact that in order to buy crude oil, countries need to use the US dollar. Some oil producers tried to change it (the medium of exchange) but got punished by the US military.
5511  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Kenapa ada si Dia ?? [LiteCoin] on: March 19, 2019, 07:12:51 AM

Maaf sedikit OOT.
5512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are EOS and TRON platforms beating ETH in gambling dapp rankings? on: March 19, 2019, 06:23:23 AM
Remember cryptokitties? It rekt the Eth Network because it cant handle the transaction volume. Also the price of gas would be also an issue, small players would get hurt by playing with small amounts.
Yup, at the current state of Ethereum (POW), it is impossible to beat the POS-based dapps in term of speed and transaction fees. Both EOS and TRON actually reap the benefit of the Ethereum failure to speed up its development.
5513  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [IDE] Private Key Yang Terkustomisasi on: March 18, 2019, 12:04:39 PM

Bacaan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Password_strength

5514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder (Compulsive Gambling, Pathological Gambling) on: March 18, 2019, 03:55:24 AM
Lol, you really think everyone on the forum has above average intelligence? Lmao. Man I guess who haven't seen most part of the forum. You will see the forum actually filled with bunch of retards that is here just to spam.
Yes, they were able to use bitcoin/cryptocurrencies, use the internet, use the gambling sites, posting on this forum/literate, etc.
That should be enough to become "above average intelligence" of this earth population.

Moreover, having above intelligence and not being concerned about the disorders are/cannot be related.
Maybe yes, maybe no

5515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: March 18, 2019, 03:43:33 AM
So you're not afraid of giving away your data to companies as long as they are big?
Well, big and legal corporations in stable countries (like the US and Europe) to be precise.

It will only be more convenient for you to find and sue them but your data will be lost anyway.
At least, someone would be held accountable for this incident.

KYC always sucks.
I fully agree with this statement, however in my opinion risks of embezzlement far outweigh risks of losing data. Without obeying (KYC/AML) regulations, casinos cannot be "trusted," thus there would be no consumer protection.

That's why I have a high hope for decentralized gambling to revolutionize traditional/centralized gambling industry... *sounds like vaporware ICOs
Centralized sucks Grin
5516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Explain double spend attacks to me in simple terms on: March 18, 2019, 03:17:43 AM
double spending is only possible if that someone has equal or more than 51% of the total mining power of the network
It depends on the target machine, whether it accepts 0-confirmation or not. Try to read the long @Heisenberg_Hunter's post above. To be able to double spend his money, an attacker could perform the techniques mentioned above (theoretically).
5517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Compilation of Top Bitcoin Casinos for 2019 (US Friendly Crypto Gambling) on: March 18, 2019, 02:58:25 AM
Not sure about DuckDice since it has been accused as "shady" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=917361

I like the design of the above casinos, it seems like it was designed by the same UX/graphic designer. Nice Smiley
5518  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN]Rocket.run Signature Campaign | Full Members - Legendary | Up to 0.0165BTC on: March 16, 2019, 01:09:39 PM
This campaign pay rate seems very tempting, but it also comes with greater responsibilities:

*Make a minimum of 20 posts per week that you participate to receive payment.
*Make a minimum of 10 posts in the Gambling/Gambling Discussion Sections.
*Posts in Games & Rounds, Investor-based games, Lending, Auctions, Meta, Politics & Society, Beginners & Help, Off-Topic, Archival and Local won't count towards your 20 post minimum.

Not sure I have the time, I'll keep my eye on this campaign Grin
5519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder (Compulsive Gambling, Pathological Gambling) on: March 16, 2019, 03:25:45 AM
Everyone in the bitcoin forum should have above average intelligence, so I'm not really concern about these disorders. Gambling is a part of the history of humankind and here we already know what are the downsides of gambling. It's a trade-off between risks and returns while getting some enjoyment in the process. Happy gambling everyone Smiley
5520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: March 15, 2019, 01:14:16 PM
In my opinion, KYC, law enforcement, and the casino's reputation are closely related. I might feel okay if companies like Caesars, MGM, etc., need KYC, but surely not for random anonymous bitcoin casino.

Why? Because for reputable and legal companies, there is no (or little) probability that my KYC data would be misused.
