I just cpu mined on my wallet and it states I found two blocks so far and I got a reward of .001 each time. I'm on 7117.

Is POW difficulty supposed to be the same as POS difficulty? My wallet is stuck on block 7113 too.

So the price going lower and lower?

Now that the blockchain is moving again, it's tempting to dump. Especially for those who rented rigs and bought nicehash. Understandable, they want to ROI. I was tempted myself when I first moved all my coins to bittrex. But I want to taste some of the stake, 1st. So I will leave alone. Especially, if this coin's staking is going to be revved up. Faster staking will mean a better return.

So I gather that C-Cex is cool with all the coins moving to bittrex? Huh

To be clear, I have nothing at stake here. I own a total of 0 of these. I prefer he fix it himself, I only came here because people that stake coins I've made asked me to fix it

From your earlier assessment, I am not confident this dev will be able to fix all the issues anytime soon. I guess all of us investors have become part of the dev's development & testing team.

I'm the only one humm ...out of sync?

I had to reboot my computer a few hours ago, and my wallet has been out of sync since.

Well, it looks like I spent $20.00 at nicehash and westhash to do someone's alpha testing. LOL Lips sealed

ooo poor you, all of us done that Wink
and I spent around 150$ and made much more than that so...

Well, there where times I had my little rockminer pointed at Westhash. so I'm sure I got a few satoshi from this project for that. I give this dev a D- for his coin.  Grin

I'm siccing Westhash on this again. Price is reasonable right now... Cool
Is the price better if you'll rent a rig and mine than to buy?
I never tried renting a rig. But at this moment Westhash is charging .0112 BTC per GH if you want a fixed order, and as low as .0105 BTC if you want to compete in bidding. There is also a 2% fee to take into consideration. It appears bitcoin mining right now yields about .0108 per GH. Per ipoMiner, at this moment, E-Cash yields about .02575 BTC per GH. But that fluctuates wildly.

Exactly how many coins do I need to try to claim the 387 coins I am expected to get per day? I have over 26,000 right now, and am only hitting a stake less than once per day? It appear that I need to stake a little more than once per day to earn my POR. At these new prices, I really don't want to buy more...

ipominer,
Any idea when I can start withdrawing my e-money? I have it all set up a couple of hours ago, an no payout has happened, yet. I want to start staking my 8% ASAP.

 Grin

Anytime now, payouts are enabled Smiley

Thanks, got 'em.

LOL, 1.3 billion credits. If a few more ASIC guys join in, we should be #1 in a few days.

today it became true, Gridcoin entered TOP10 fastest growing teams on BOINC:

http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/list/12/0/0

It will be hard to beat my former teammate. Ste\/e [BlackOpsTeam]. He has a farm that keeps growing. I don't think he will join, because he is founder of his own team.

LOL, If all those other guys with the ASICS join in, it will be several billion credits per day. Kinda ridiculous. BU should just decrease the amount of credits they give, it is too disproportionate to other projects.

Our stars align, we are the near the top 10 fastest growing teams on BOINC worldwide.
Can't wait to see advancements when some of the top researchers join in!
http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/list/12/0/0

I agree. BU makes the cross-projects credit statistics pointless

Go to free dc. You can exclude BU from stats if that makes you happy.

Certainly, BU should be fixed. I think it is kind of obvious for researchers to consider real science as in our other Gridcoin-Projects.

5519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinUtopia has been whitelisted by Gridcoin, use your ASIC to mergemine both! on: February 21, 2015, 06:10:36 PM
Does this gridcoin team do anything fun, like participate in challenges? Or is it just grinding out gridcoin?

Welcome to GRC, bones261. You sure hit the leaderboard with a splash. Well done!

GRC entered some WCG challenges in the early days (as I remember it), but I think the challenge-team leader then (a user who offered his services) was accused of running bot farms or some such and left in a huff. I never saw any details about the underlying truth.

Going still from memory - Team Gridcoin has never entered any BOINC challenges (just WCG challenges early on).

There is some rather polarized discussion about the evolution of the team's role here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/29841-discussion-boinc-whitelist-monitoring/

You joined at "an interesting time".

Thanks for the welcome. I read some of the thread. Hope I'm not the target of a lot of hate.
5520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinUtopia has been whitelisted by Gridcoin, use your ASIC to mergemine both! on: February 21, 2015, 02:44:35 PM
We need more guys with ASICs to join, we could probably do 1 billion credits per day easy.

The first ppl with large ASICs that realize the opportunity to earn GRC for their BOINC work they already do, will get damn rich Smiley

Not sure that is true. Will see. From what I've read in the faq, I'm being compared to other BU users. My 1 rockminer is kind of small fry to the people who have dozens.
