5501  Economy / Speculation / Re: ❄️ BITCOIN : winter is coming? by 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓬𝓴𝓿𝓼 𝓡. 𝓐𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓻𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓷 ❄️ on: December 18, 2019, 03:03:45 PM
I agree that it looks bullish for bitcoin in the future, I don't care what the short term hold (the next couple months) because I feel like after the halving (and maybe even a bit before the halving) the price may end up going up. What people are forgetting that bitcoin cash is the people who have one of the biggest mining operations in the whole world, if not the biggest which means they will try to do whatever they can to hurt bitcoin itself and make people focus on bitcoin cash.

Having said that who would profit from bitcoin dropping down most? These bitcoin cash owners and they may take up some beating and lose money from their mining in order to not increase the price and hurt other miners as well and that may end up causing bitcoin to drop even further. We will have to wait and see.
5502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bizarre crash! What cause bitcoin crash?? on: December 18, 2019, 01:54:16 PM
There must some sort of "boredom" that reflects on the price as well. The price has been at low levels (I don't know if we can consider 7 thousand low considering we started the year around $3.5k) and it hasn't made any moves at all, people expected it to go up but it didn't go up so right now there are many people who consider selling bitcoin and not many people buying bitcoin.

Stagnancy kills these kinds of commodities, same happened with gold, it goes up and everything is well but if it doesn't move up then it becomes boring so when it becomes boring people move their money somewhere else that could make money. Even a 1% interest rate is seriously better than bitcoin for the past 6 months, it hasn't moved a bit and even got down a bit so people are getting out.
5503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will hit 5500 ? on: December 18, 2019, 08:16:28 AM
It doesn't look good I can agree with that. I personally never imagined bitcoin going under 7 thousand dollars again after that spike to 9 thousand dollars but here we are under 7 thousand dollars and the economy is hurting. I sure hope that bitcoin recovers but if nothing major changes I am afraid right now in the market there is more bitcoins sold than bought.

Maybe it is the whales who are making these kinds of sales so that they can buy for cheap and get more bitcoins but looking at the buying amounts it looks as if there is not enough buys to justify that neither so I don't know why bitcoin is going down. Surely before halving it should be going up but we are just 5 months away now and people are still selling more than they are buying which confuses me a lot.
5504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value on: December 18, 2019, 07:38:52 AM
If everything goes according to whats expected there will be a huge increase in price before this year ends.

The whole reason why people think the price will go up is the halving, if halving doesn't deliver what people think it will deliver I am afraid there won't be that type of increase. So, we have to hope that bitcoin would go up and halving would affect bitcoins price, there are millions of reasons why halving should be increasing the price and many people think the same so I still think no matter what happens the price will go up.

If it doesn't go up now eventually it will, there is no way bitcoin stays low while the cost of it doubles, sure miners could top mining which would drop the hashrate and therefore the cost but when that happens they will restart their machines.
5505  Economy / Economics / Re: How do manage portfolio efficiently while having a full time job? on: December 18, 2019, 05:41:38 AM
If you could automate what you are looking for in a coin then the job gets easier. You just have a list of what you want from a coin and if there is a coin you see that hits those targets you will be capable of buying it, if it doesn't then you won't, if any of the coins you already have goes out of that list you sell it. It is really simple if you have a rigid trading pattern and very strong list of requirements for you to have a certain coin in your portfolio.

But, like everyone said, having a long term plan is much better if you do not have proper time. During the time I first got married I was just holding bitcoin and nothing else and just hold it because it was really a busy time with work and marriage and preparing for the wedding and house and so forth.
5506  Economy / Economics / Re: Does halving really create deflation? on: December 18, 2019, 02:20:06 AM
Think about it this way, if there is scarcity of bitcoin which creates some sort of demand for it to stay same but the supply gets lower and lower both because less mined bitcoins but also more people hoarding and losing their bitcoins, what do you think would happen? How could people think that less bitcoins can never mean deflation, of course it does.

However, one true reality that always looms over our heads is that, will bitcoin one day actually die? We have talked about how awesome bitcoin is and how it will never die but we are forgetting that technology is ever improving and market doesn't care about ideology it cares about profits. So, if bitcoin stays popular then for sure it will definitely get more expensive with halving but for how long? We don't know.
5507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE - is it still PROFITABLE? on: December 17, 2019, 04:04:16 PM
It never worth that much to begin with. Yes, if you have bank accounts in different nations and can reach to local exchanges of all of them there is a slight chance that nations with their currency differences could offer you a great deal but that doesn't mean it was available to everyone all the time.

There are bots now dealing with arbitrage which means if there is a chance of mathematical profits then those bots will make sure they do those trades in seconds before you can even react.

Considering all the costs involved and math you need to calculate it would take you at least 5-10 minutes while those machines react and do it in under one minute. I would say arbitrage is not something people should be looking at during this stage, considering bitcoin is low now, accumulation is the best course of action.
5508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: December 17, 2019, 03:07:45 PM
There is a level where risk makes you more money and too much risk loses you money, that gray area where you risk enough to make money but not risk too much to lose money is where everyone should be operating. However, that place is not easy to find and everyone has trouble figuring out where it is because it changes depending on everyone's budget and level of comfort trading.

I personally figured out that I can trade 100 bucks and not worry about it, I can leverage it, I can trade it, I can invest into tokens, no matter what I do with that 100 bucks including gambling itself, I wouldn't worry however if I end up losing that money as a whole, I would probably not do anything for couple of months at least, so find that number for yourself and the method and you will be good to go.
5509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales keep getting richer and richer while everybody else is losing... on: December 17, 2019, 08:47:56 AM
whales can't do anything if all the people are having a good trading strategy, placing a stop loss is always needed in crypto currency trading if we don't want to stuck in the whale's trap. Whales are getting richer because of the traders who eats their trap and FOMO in every condition but ended up loss or stuck and hold the loss coin for a long time.
Whales do have enough money to manipulate the market but these whales of bitcoin doesn't really need to be whales of the regular financial world. We are talking about new money here, people who became rich thanks to bitcoin only few years ago, they got in 10 years ago at earliest or even closer and now they are super rich thanks to bitcoin and they can make moves that nobody else can do.

Yeah, they could be getting help from other people who are old money but that doesn't mean that old money was involved and now doing whale moves all by themselves. People like Craig Wright do not act alone and they never will but no wall street guy got into bitcoin too early to make whale moves neither. They have the power and bitcoin early birds have the money so together they get richer and richer.
5510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 million worth of ETH? on: December 17, 2019, 04:26:32 AM
I am one of those lucky people who joined them at the time. I had a bit of bitcoin (nowhere near these amounts of course lol) and I cashed out at around 19k which was close to all time high, after I cashed out in a week bitcoin started to drop, during that time I sold my ethereum and all other coins as well except nano (god damn it nano) and I made a decent amount of profit.

I even gathered back my bitcoins exactly the same amount following may as well on 2018 because they were very cheap and I didn't spent all my money so I had the same amount of crypto but also spent a lot of money from December to may without every working a single day thanks to right time to sell. It is a great feeling to find the top, it is even great to find the bottom and buy there.
5511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New solutions on existing industries on: December 17, 2019, 03:32:44 AM
Right now, there is a company working on a new software that would eleminate all the new for scouting in sports thanks to blockchain. There would be a system where scouts all over the world would get together and write up good and meaning scout reports for all players and put it in the network and that would allow coaches from all around the world look for talent anywhere in the world without having to go up there.

Now, this is of course for obvious differences between players in the leagues, if you are seeing a player that is very good on the scouting reports (and 5-10 different people could scout the same player and write) you still should go and see before you transfer them but it would make things easier. They are trying to convince the scouts to share which is hard but if they share then they will be capable of seeing what others share as well in return as a reward which might convince them.
5512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos retained it's top 10th Position in the market on: December 17, 2019, 02:47:16 AM
Tezos managed to stay up during a very bad period for the altcoins that is why they are in top 10 right now. Before we can say tezos is one of the elites and they are here to stay we need to give them some more time. Sure, you can invest right now if you are hoping it will stay here because that means they will go up on top of this price while the others go up as well in order to not lose their spot, but for us to say they are sure fire top 10 we need to wait at least a year to see how they do and if they will crumble or not.

I am still not 100% convinced about EOS and it is uprising in 2019 and how they became a prominent top 10 coin suddenly, it will take me a lot more for tezos which is even more brand new to these places than EOS. However, it is obvious tezos is not a shitcoin that is for sure.
5513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit hackers using EOS tokens for money laundering? on: December 16, 2019, 06:12:55 PM
I don't really get how these criminals are being followed, how does these people leaving a trace.
From my understanding bitcoin transactions were anon and hidden so it couldn't be followed, how the hell are they being followed like this?

I know it is a lot of money and hiding that much money is very risky but at the same time if you could send it to a binance and many other exchanges like that slowly you will be also claiming money back from them via withdrawals so in the end you can't be really followed. Definitely, there is a risk of you not getting your withdrawal but that is why you do it slowly and risk only few thousand dollars at a time. Not like there is any chance of them cashing out 50 million dollar worth of ethereum into fiat right away anyway.
5514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 16, 2019, 05:38:57 PM
There has been many many fighters before Conor that helped UFC became what it is today, if those fighters didn't existed nobody would know who Conor was. Conor just took the torch from them and now is ready to deliver it to next person who can actually entertain people.

However, right now he himself is not really a player who could be the face of UFC anymore, dudes antics became very very boring, yeah we get it you have a million dollar life style and you are lavishing and you got yourself a suit with dollar signs made and have expensive watches and talk crazy trash talk to your opponents. How many times can we take it, how many times can we find it entertaining, dude already did that to 10+ people already and Khabib destroyed him, it wasn't even a close fight, dude was just straight up miles better, maybe we should stop caring about the Hollywood aspect of UFC and let the real fighters fight?
5515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 16, 2019, 04:51:36 PM
Three of the biggest shocks I have seen this year from teams is Dallas Miami and OKC. Everybody knew Dallas would be better thanks to Doncic and KP because lets face it they couldn't get any worse anyway so last year they got a bit better but this year with KP coming back we expected them to be much better, however nobody expected them to be 3rd in west so far, maybe at early days thanks to good schedule and all but now we are over 25 games into season and they are still third, with Doncic missing they might drop a few but playoffs are basically guaranteed for them.

Miami on the other hand got Butler and like Dallas we knew they would get better, I mean who wouldn't be better with Butler than without Butler but who could have guessed them being second in east with such a good record?

OKC was basically tanking as far as we saw, they had to trade PG13 so they went full tanking mode and gave Westbrook as well but right now they are the 8th seed, I am not saying they will be in playoffs because they are on a thing line there but I would have expected them to be dead last in the rankings.
5516  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally of $9,000 ain’t enough? on: December 16, 2019, 04:14:15 PM
What do you mean by enough is the real question. If you mean that if we go to 9 thousand dollars we still have a chance of dropping once again, you are definitely right.

Bitcoin once hit 20 thousand dollars and went as low as 3 thousand dollars, so sorry but whatever the price of bitcoin becomes there is a chance of dropping significantly, we can't stop bitcoin to drop or change since in the end we seriously don't have any control over it. That is the beauty of bitcoin tho, nobody can control it. So in the end, $9k is not enough to make sure bearish stops, $20k is not enough, even a million dollars is not enough, in the end there is always a chance of bitcoin dropping 50% in value at any given second even while I am typing this down. Don't look at the pessimistic part of it, look at the fact that 50% increase is also possible.
5517  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: December 16, 2019, 03:25:51 PM
I feel like Watford is lone gone in relegation, sure I do hope them to recover and make a big run but lets be realistic, they don't have the money, the talent or the strategy to be any better in the second half of the season at all. They are not getting anyone that is much better, they are not getting any better with their strategy and they don't have the money to get a big name player neither.

The best case for them right now is not to be the dead last, even if they relegate at least relegate with honor and not be the last team on the league hopefully but I don't even have hopes for that nowadays. Sure, the Liverpool game they played better than previous Liverpool games but that doesn't change the fact that they lost, as long as they keep losing there is not much to hope for.
5518  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: December 16, 2019, 02:21:33 PM
There could be some sort of disclaimer about that but I feel like stats and their hourly refreshing is quite enough, who cares about it enough to complain about it anyway. Sure if it was purely fabrication and the update didn't happen hourly that would have been bad, nobody would want fabricated numbers, however considering that is not true and it gets updated time to time I feel like the middle period when it is not updated yet and whenever refreshed it has its own countdown, I feel like that is a small enough period to not care.

This website has been in operation for so long that people couldn't find any proper thing that is wrong with the website and now trying to be annoying, first with 0000-10000 whatever thingy about FREE money, now about the numbers and if they are fabricated. Stop looking for stuff, this website is not shady.
5519  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is 2.5x more popular than DJIA (world’s strongest financial market) on: December 15, 2019, 08:01:08 AM
What we should focus on is that mainstream media only cares about one thing; their wealthy rich bosses. Right now there are things that would get them tons of clicks and tons of money but they refuse to acknowledge it (like for example FOX not airing DNC properly) and at the same time that would make them money so why do they not publish it? Because, their boss doesn't want them to, they have enough money, they can survive without airing crypto if they didn't want to.

It means if they are airing it and showcasing it and talking about it, that means their wealthy boss also likes bitcoin as well, those whales that make huge moves in bitcoin could be from the mainstream media, I am not saying it is, but that could be one of the reasons why we are getting so much attention.
5520  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries testing digital assets in 2020 on: December 15, 2019, 06:49:08 AM
Countries their own coin could actually even be the reason why bitcoin is dropping. Think about it, if there was a stable coin that is backed by the government of USA, don't you think many many people would use it? I mean globally that would be the simplest way of transacting money via blockchain and we could send and receive dollars staying anon and paying very tiny amounts and basically just disregard all banks.

Now, I am not saying they will do something like that but there are more and more nations caring about the blockchain world and that means maybe one day they might do it in the future and that might make bitcoins adoption rate drop to negatives, instead of getting people into bitcoin we might be seeing people going out of bitcoin which is a big problem.
