5501  Other / Meta / Re: Cancel reports? on: November 26, 2019, 08:39:29 AM
Considering the amount of work that the mods of this forum have to get done in a single day, I still think every mod does their work sincerely and checks editing and timestamps before marking the report as good or bad.

@marlboroza

I have seen some of my reports remained unhandled even today - now consider this situation:

A wannabe mod who has a somewhat established name here, tries their luck at reporting posts as they wish without knowing the community guidelines and they get a number of unhandled and good reports. What they would do after this is "cancel" all the unhandled reports because technically they are not "handled" by any mod, since they decided that no action was needed for it and it is open to being marked as good or bad.

In this way they may try to get their accuracy rating high - not sure if the accuracy rating is based on only good and bad reports? Thanks @DdmrDdmr

So in this manner is one could cancel the reports they could get their rating high in short period of time allowing them to cheat the system. Obviously it would not remain so for long.
5502  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Price Tanks as Unplanned Exchange Maintenance Leaves Customers Stranded on: November 26, 2019, 08:32:27 AM
Deribit coming offline does not necessarily mean that the price going down was the effect. Deribit is like what BitMex is and you could speculate on the prices and buy contracts there for a future price, called margin trading.

Now what is possible is that a group of whales buy contracts on a certain price, which they have decided on and then dump the market to reach that price so their contracts go through before getting liquidated but this is a very longshot idea. The amount of bitcoin needed to move the market by 1% of its price is very big so it is less likely.

"Unprofessional" "disrespectful" are wrong words here. Being subjective makes you take the wrong decision. If you dont like them dont use them.
5503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Long term prediction. on: November 26, 2019, 08:25:47 AM
bitcoin increase will be in 2022, a very long time for that. right now I think maybe I should try more details on bitcoin price increases because the price of bitcoin can change at any time
What do you mean by "increase"? A 1% or 0.01%? Be specific when you make a prediction or dont make any at all.

By 2022, a lot of changes in the government acceptance and stance on crypto can occur. Nobody can say for sure from beforehand and predict something like this but obviously everyone is optimistic about the price. Currently the price is recovering from the weekend dump this week but we might see better moves this Black friday. Its a good time to buy if the market price falls below 6k USD.
5504  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Lending Platform ? on: November 26, 2019, 08:21:07 AM
What people do with the money is another problem but as long there is collateral you're fine
The loans done on the lending platforms seem to come from loan originators like I said, I dont trust them about the loan origins. It is a problem and people should be careful about this.

I have participated with ICOs like FastInvest and Debitum. FastInvest returned investors and remained a fiat lending platform only while Debitum is facing problems to recover in the bear market. I am yet to see other sucessful project like what Nexo and Salt have done but again I am skeptical about them storing users money with them.

In my opinion setting up your own marketplace is better than giving your money to another company acting as an intermediary.
5505  Economy / Lending / Re: Question on how to earn through lending crypto on: November 25, 2019, 11:31:50 AM
So, I have been reading post here and I wanted to try to lend some btc.
Make sure you always ask for collateral to back loans. 99% chance that any non-collateral loan here would be a scam. Trusted users as well have scammed lenders so dont trust anyone.

Quote
I want to know what is the recommended amount of investment needed for me to earn decent amount.
You can start with anything between 1-10 BTC. Depends on how you manage your balance and how many loans you give out on average.

Quote
If I choose to avail an escrow service, who should shoulder the fee for the service?
Nobody will trust you to be an escrow before gaining some trust so forget about any fee. This mostly comes from trading with other users and if they decide to trust you. Only the long timers here have been able to gain that level of trust.
5506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: November 25, 2019, 09:24:02 AM
-snip-
To answer your question straight, think about this:

If someone knows what the outcome of a game would they really divulge that information to others without a huge chunk of money? Because if someone knew is besides the 1st person knowing it, that 2nd person would make a huge bet in that same line making the probable profit of the first person much less.

So obviously, whoever sells a tip would take a huge chunk so much so as to cover the loss they would have if they would have bet themselves.

In short, you have been scammed. Its not rare to be scammed like this and I am sure many other wannabe sports betting "experts" will have fallen prey to their greed like this. Make sure you have learnt some lesson.
5507  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Lending Platform ? on: November 25, 2019, 09:19:13 AM
I see some members have suggested third party sites here. A word of caution because they need you to pass KYC which is a red flag, still whatever your take may be. Secondly putting your money into a "platform" does not necessarily mean that you are actually lending to someone legitimate in need of a loan. We have a number of fiat lending sites out in the internet doing the same but many eventually collapsed because they were hidden Ponzi/MLM schemes with fake loan originators and people invested in them. I am not saying all of them are bad but it is a point to ponder.

The safer (but still risky) thing to do is to set up your own lending marketplace. This could be a lending thread in this forum, check the other well known lenders here like @zazarb, @DireWolfM14, @shasan and you will get an idea.

But the biggest problem in running them is knowing how to lend. You will face manipulative people trying to squeeze money from you out of "friendship" gradually as you become popular. Always take a collateral secured loan to be safe if you wish to do this.
5508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Projects Scamming Bounty Hunters on: November 25, 2019, 09:12:32 AM
Nowadays more than 80% projects being listed on bounty section aa scammers only so we need to be little more allowed while we are investing on that projects which is scamming the bounty hunters.
I doubt any big-cap investor would be visiting the bounty hunting section of this forum to look for projects to put their hard earned money into. Sure there are some small-cap to mid-cap traders here, but big whales? Definitely few at this point, many have left the forum completely. They would prefer to use some aggregator site to get all the new projects names and information.

Quote
Then we as a participant we need to be written more alert while participating on any new bounty campaigns.
It will not help being "Alert". Being illiterate about what a project is and what its intended to be will make the participant take the wrong decision.
5509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think miner manufacturers are making more money developing a ASICminer? on: November 25, 2019, 09:08:47 AM

Do you think after they develop a new miner they mine on altcoin first for months before they release it and then after they sold those miners they gradually sold their coins gradually?
The people who manufacture those miners? Hell no. Unless you got some evidence to suggest the same, I would disagree. Dont make up conspiracy theories just to back up what you feel about the market price drops. There are more reasons why a price may drop and not new miners being self-mined before selling them.

Quote
This is just what I think and I'm sure they will do this and make a profit before the price of the coin drop.
It would be unethical for anyone to tamper with the product before sale after manufacture. Just because you think so does not make it true.

Quote
What do you think?
How are coming up with such an idea? Do you have any proof of your claim?
5510  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: [Indian Edition] How did you come up with your username? on: November 24, 2019, 10:53:02 AM
Similarly enough my username was also influenced by one of my favorite games.

In the Halo universe,

Sangheili (https://halo.fandom.com/wiki/Sangheili, https://aliens.fandom.com/wiki/Sangheili) are a part of the covenant, homeland Sanghelios and known to the Humans as "Elites".

They have classes among them too of which the military ranks are: (Source: https://halo.fandom.com/wiki/Sangheili)
Code:
The order of Sangheili rank is: Minor, Officer/Major, Stealth Minor, Stealth Major, Ranger, ..., Honor Guard Ultra, Ultra, Zealot , ..Imperial Admiral and Sangheili High Councilor.

Of which I took "Ultra" because of the toughness and the general pain in the rear during combat against them. In the games its the AI playing them but to encounter one in real life would be lethal.

And just to add a bit of uniqueness to the username I added "The" in front of it.

I pondered over Zealot a few times too but decided to stay with Ultra and used that in other sites too.

PS: Please dont confuse me with Ultra from Yolodice, who is a different user. I came to know about this from some older Primedice players.
5511  Economy / Exchanges / Re: dark vs regular on: November 24, 2019, 07:41:54 AM
I will try to answer some of the questions which I know of leaving out the rest of the questions for the experts here.

How do coin exchanges on the dark web differ from regular ones found on the regular web?
This is a trade secret of exchanges. I cant say anything here.

Quote
Are they shut down by cops vs the regular ones?
Of course they are. Darkweb nets are not invulnerable and you will find these news commonly about police raids on darknet tumblers, exchanges, marketplaces - shutting them down.

Quote
Do they both have more or less the same operating system like pc vs apple???
They are more likely to use Linux distros here. Apple is shit when it comes to vulnerabilities for hackers and windows is also pretty vulnerable.

Quote
what kind of coin exchanges operate on the dark web?
This you need to do your own research on.
5512  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: November 24, 2019, 07:29:10 AM
Lets just start with the basic concept of crypto currencies. They were created as a digital medium of exchange but as all new concepts take time, this one also requires some time before the purpose is served.
A digital medium of exchange? Then what difference does Gaypal, ApplePay and others like those have with bitcoin? Bitcoin is decentralized and somewhat anonymous, censorship-resistant. Thats what gives it an upper hand.

Quote
We can see countries planning to launch their own crypto currencies and definitely this means we are heading towards an era of crypto coins.
Wrong. People who understand the ideals of a decentralized currency would not go for state government backed coins. They are completely centralized like Ripple and a waste of an investment to make, let alone use any for transaction purpose. If you like them then do as you wish but taking Venezuela as an example would be a biased one since they had an economic collapse without any way to recover from it while other bigger countries are able to recover with time.
5513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: November 24, 2019, 07:24:55 AM
@jamesndungu1

You seem to have been blinded by the capability of AI. Remember that you are only speculating on what AI is being used for and not a developer of AI and machine learning. I cant say but judging from your posts it seems tome that someone may have fed that bullshit to you in order to sell you their bot. Please note that AI can observe technical and make decisions based on that however they are only there to automate the trades and nothing as guarantee profit. So dont get blinded and take everything you see on the internet to be true.
5514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: November 24, 2019, 07:12:09 AM
I still believe that there is still luck, even if the game is base on the number on a card that will be given to you, I know that even if a game still needs a strategy you must still need luck for you to win and for you to make it easy. There are times that even if how good you are already in gambling, there are still times that you will go home nothing.
I am not saying luck is not there. It is there in every aspect of life but the EV+ games can be relied on skills but luck obviously plays a factor. Again in card games there are counting skills and ways to bluff the opponents so its not completely luck based unlike an EV- game like dice and slots where the casino will win in the long run.

Going home with nothing should not be thought as a defeat. It is a part of gambling and one does not lose completely or win completely. That win or loss only temporary until their next visit. That is of course false for those who would never gambler again - which is rare.
5515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Low allocation bounty pools pays easily? on: November 24, 2019, 07:09:04 AM
The developers could release the coins to the bounty hunters immediately but they don't, they use the excuse that bounty hunters are going to sell their coins to the market immediately crashing the price of the coin and that accusation is ridiculous, even if bounty hunters sell their coins in the market as soon as they receive their coins if the price of the coin crashes because of this then it means that it was a bad coin and that has nothing to do with the bounty hunters.
Well it is a bullshit reason to hold back on the bounty rewards but the bounty hunters have also an agreement to abide by any changes in terms during the course of the bounty hunting. So in a way they put the bounty hunters in a jinxed situation where you cant get the reward and even if you do the project will be a failure and the price of the token will go down. If they knew that hunters dump their tokens why did they opt for it in the first place? Poor marketing skills.

Then the participant has nothing to do but cry at the bad habit of participating in the first place whatever the allocation may have been.

5517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Projects Scamming Bounty Hunters on: November 23, 2019, 08:50:55 AM
scammers are everywhere you cant do anything to stop them.
A pretty vague statement to make in a thread.

Quote
As long as there are people who joined in a scam project and promoting it scammer cant be defeated.
If you know a project is scam you would not promote it would you? Bounty hunters are more or less informed about things like these and their lack of intellect and critical thinking makes them victims. They know that the bounty wont be paying well even if its not a scam one but they still promote them like their life depended on it. You cant make these red-pilled bottomfeeders stop by just telling them unless they realize the truth.
5518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google possesses threat to bitcoin. What do you say? on: November 23, 2019, 08:47:51 AM
they will never launch a quantum computer let alone destroy bitcoin, I even analyze Google is one of the companies that is in this hidden bitcoin project, it is very funny if there is a quantum computer haunting the crypto community
It was a speculation at one time, which is common among people living in 4walled basements all day and rarely going outside. Like the say, the empty brain is the devil's workshop. Delusional thinking starts and they break people down with these thoughts of holding bitcoin for future. It could also have been a propaganda by the no-coiners at one time and seem to come up from time to time.

Google may very well be using blockchain as a technical instrument but their GPay is what they are more involved in developing. Possible that they hold bitcoin but that may not directly influence.

I just now double checked yesterday's withdrawal and it is 0.015 like every week. So it was probably a human error from the staff in distributing the payments. Good thing you decided to let them know, shows the fact that you respect your own reputation and integrity than a small extra bucks made by defrauding a legit casino.

Keep up the good spirits!

I can give you a loan of exactly 0$. Would you like to have that since you are so generous about getting a loan of any amount of this range?

I would like to invest this money in my personal activities!
Nice to way to say "scam" Roll Eyes

I could not have a loan on the loan platforms because the minimum there is 1btc.
Or you didnt have 1btc worth collateral to pledge so you came to a forum where people can ask for loans but asking a non collateral loan from a newbie account with zero previous trades or reputation is shunned upon.

I'm open to all proposals. thank you in advance
This is not a beggar street. Visit your local bank or pawn shop if you are in need of quick money. Stop being a jobless bottomfeeder.
