@cryptobaboon

5522  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Bitcoinpricemap Acompanhar a cotação do BTC pelo Mundo [Projeto Brasileiro] on: February 27, 2020, 05:42:50 PM

5524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying low selling high ain't always successful on: February 27, 2020, 02:32:37 PM
The concept is easy, buy low, sell high, but how to know when is low and high?  Cheesy

What I do here, and most of the times I can succeed is:
When BTC reached 10,200 for example, I sold some of my coins because I know that when reaches some round price (10k) or a price that we are not seeing for some time, a dip will come for sure, and then I buy again in the 9,600 USD, so I won some satoshis
But nothing is 100% certain
5525  Local / Brasil / Re: Exchanges brasileiras fechando on: February 27, 2020, 02:21:22 PM

5527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach $5k in this up cycle ? on: February 27, 2020, 01:49:59 PM
You can have your answer thinking about the whole marketcap of cryptos

To reach $5k ETH have to rise 20x

The total marketcap today is $250 Billions, so total marketcap have to reach 5 trillions dollars...we barely touched the 1 trillion at ATH, so totally impossible at the moment
In a few years could be right, but there's a long way ahead
5528  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Ether Thieves - jogo baseado em Ethereum on: February 26, 2020, 07:42:40 PM
5529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can writing how hard you worked for earning money restrict you from gambling? on: February 26, 2020, 05:57:29 PM
I understand you my friend, it's very hard to earn some money working at a regular job which is my case
The good side is I work with computers, and can have access to this forum and post here regularly, and earn a decent amout of money with the signature campaign, and with this money I can gamble without any regret, because it's easier and I have pleasure working here to promote a campaign

I see that you're wearing a signature too, so why not gamble with only the amount you earn?
5530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: February 26, 2020, 05:34:32 PM
So seems like a repeat of last Summer. Basically we had 12 days of semi-decent profit for home ETH mining and now again its reaching the point of mining revenue going mostly due to electrical costs. Only people that benefit are people with cheap or free power.

I think that the tide might turn because we have 3 events looking forward to profitable mining.

1) BTC halving - If BTC can break the 2019 or 2017 ATH then I am assuming there will be FOMO in ETH.

2) Antminer E3 - In about 40 days they won't be able to mine ETH. Hopefully there are many of these E3's that free up the difficulty

3) ProgPOW - Going live in July 2020. Should eliminate the other brand of ETH asics which are more powerful.

If progpow boosts the earnings of a 1080ti to $2.00 a day things will be very interesting.

I still have :
1 rig with 1x 1080, 2x 1070, 1 x 1660ti
2 rigs with 4x 1080ti
3 rigs with 2x 1080ti     so 14 1080ti and the lessor gpus 18 in all

I also have 8 rigs mining xmr with 1 card it think it is
4x vegas 56
1x 1080ti
4   1660

9 cards total     grand total 27 cards and 8 cpus

philip, I remember in 2018 you have a lot of 1080tis, how they are working now? Same efficiency, and no RMA in your cards?
Unfortunately I had to stop mining due to my electricity price, I consider Solar but here in my country it's very expensive the parts

I have only a 1080ti that I mined a lot and still strong playing some games, it was a card ahead of time in my opinion
5531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: February 26, 2020, 05:26:16 PM
I never make any document of my gamble activities
Here in my country we need to declare our cryptos, but we don't need (yet) to inform the origin of cryptos
I gamble in small amounts of money and never gained a substancial prize, one day, IF i win, I'll have to look how to declare to be totally legal, but otherwise I'm just having fun giving money to the house  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
5532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad News for Bitcoiners, The price will not go up at the Halving, but DOWN$! on: February 26, 2020, 05:19:39 PM
It's totally possible that BTC price goes down for a short term, but for a long term there's more chances that BTC price goes up, as history says
I already saw some coins forking or halving and everyone expecting higher prices and ATH, but most of times the opposite occurs, so we have to be prepared and have the strategy to what to do in any kind of situation
You're not the only one who have this thought, a lot of users know that this is for the long time, but we are enjoying this moment
5533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Support Deposit and Withdrawaals in Hongkong on: February 26, 2020, 04:17:22 PM
Binance already accepts deposit and withdrawaals here, in Brazil too.
It's amazing how Binance is expanding globally, my only concern here is about security, I hope they have a strong IT team do deal with security
My first option when I have to trade is Binance.

5535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy GPU now or wait till new ones are out?? on: February 26, 2020, 02:42:58 PM
So I have drilled down to some cards and I found the following options from a supplier overseas-
a)1060 6GB~ $140 - $160 (new 3 yr warranty)
b)1080ti 11GB~ $500 - 450 (new 1yr warranty)

So basically I can spend about 3k on cards resulting in - either 6x1080ti or 20x1060

i used whattomine to check which coin is best for the above cards, and seems like ROI on the 1080ti are bad, however the 1060s will take 1.5 years

is this normal? or am I just too late, which is why its bad for me?

What do you guys do. same as above?? use a profit calculator and mine the best coin? are your ROI on hardware around similar time as mine?

Am I missing something regarding mining.

I would suggest another GPUs for you, RX 580 was an excellent choice some time ago, and if you already have that card it's ok to keep mining, but to buy now, you have to chose more efficient cards
A nice card to keep you prepared for future is 1660 TI, take a look

Consider the fact that ETH will change their network and it's best to have a card that can mine another kind of algos

Here is an excellent article to read: https://cryptominertips.com/mining-hardware/best-gpu-for-mining/
5536  Local / Brasil / Re: Exchanges brasileiras fechando on: February 26, 2020, 01:38:17 AM
@cryptobaboon

5537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Ryzen hashrate? on: February 26, 2020, 01:33:29 AM
Cpu mining still profitable? I want to buy ryzen 3600, what I can mine with it and how much cents per day?

Currently USD 0.5/day. Net pool hashrate is around 6.3KH/s (2% dev donation to use XMRrig deducted).

I will add something, it's totally profitable if you already have some rig with GPUs running, because you will stop to waste processor's power, and gaining extra cents daily

When I used to mine with GPUs, I put Ryzen 1700 in all of rigs, and I mined XMR and have the processor paid with that money, and in the end I sold the Ryzens with warranty (3 years with AMD)
Nothing bad in my opinion
5538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it worth it? on: February 25, 2020, 04:30:30 PM
The best kind of rig for you is a GPU mining rig, because you can mine lot of coins, with Asics you'll be stricted to one algo

So you can build a rig of 5 or 6 GPUs, there are motherboards that support this number of GPUs, and if you buy a Ryzen processor, you can mine with the CPU too, being more efficient

About the cards, look for the new Nvidias, 1660 can be a good choice, cheap and can do a lot of algos

RX 580 is very cheap, and AMDs are very good, but we are coming to the end of ETH POW, so think about
5539  Local / Brasil / Re: Exchanges brasileiras fechando on: February 25, 2020, 01:19:18 PM

A realidade demonstrou algo pior — bem pior.

https://portaldobitcoin.com/exchange-brasileira-de-bitcoin-criptohub-sai-do-ar-e-clientes-temem-exit-scam/

5540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: no pool specified for Decred! ETH-only mining mode is enabled ( -mode1 ) on: February 24, 2020, 04:55:42 PM
You have to put your stuff for decred, same as eth
You have to specify the pool, your decred wallet etc

The miner don't know your decret settings, this is the reason you're not mining decred

not sure what is decred

Decred is a coin: https://decred.org/
Why do you want to do dual mine?
Your card will work more, more heat, more energy and it´s not profitable, but if you want to do dual mine, check this website, but read with patience, because it's easy, just have to pay attention and you will learn how to dual mine: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-dual-mine-ethereum-and-another-coin/

wait ins't dual mining is better for rig ?
my rig coming soon

tbh i moved to phoenixMiner i see it better and i use
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://asia1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal 0x4awallet.TestQ -proto 3

this dual mining or single ?
because i see better use 2 for if first dc or lose have secondary server or better i keep one !!

Did you read what I reccomended to you?
I think you are not understanding

Dual mine = mining 2 coins at the same time, but it's not possible with any coin
please, search in you language about dual mining to understand better, you want to do something and you have no idea what is  Cheesy

i really got it dual mining
is mean mining ETH and BTC same time and card life will less than single mining

i almost got everything here

but some need to understand software SSL or Stratum Port   i not have idea which choose and for who exactly i`m still on trying softwares claymore and phoenix
like phoenix more and will start over

i used -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 in phoenix and last of code proto 3

i will check

Let's start from beginning, you can't mine BTC with GPUs, only with Asics, it's proper machines with more hashrate than GPUs, so it's totally worthless to try to mine BTC with GPUs or CPUs

There are only some coins that you can dual mine with ETH, and it's not worthing

About the code of miners, you just have to download your miner, Claymore of Phoenix and read the instructions, it's basically change the pool to the adress of the pool you want to use and the adress of your wallet

Check this thread of Claymore, there are tons of info about the subjects you're in doubt: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0
