5521  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Protect Your Crypto Wallet if Someone Searches Your Phone? on: January 18, 2020, 05:14:08 AM
It's either not to used your mobile phone, or get a hardware wallet, or used a different phone for your crypto dealing separate from your personal phone. So in any case, you could have at least a line of defense for this kind of scenario in the future.
^ It's a good idea and that is what I am doing now. I used another mobile phone aside from my personal use that I hand carry almost every day. And besides, then that never save personal information on your mobile phone just like keeping private keys or passwords. Save it on the flash drive and keep it into a safe place that no one knows. When a scenario comes like this and if someone confiscated your phone or even when it is snatched you dont need to worry about.

Good, I also employ this kind of strategy, separate crypto phone wallet (with electrum, binance apps, etc) and then I have my personal/business phone as well. But don't forget to back up everything as well, because you might lost your crypto phone in worst case scenario.
5522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are are your bet for this year's boxing fight of the year on: January 18, 2020, 04:46:09 AM
a little off topic but still connected to boxing and best fighter.

I heard that there was a voting on who's going to be "the fighter of the decade" and the winner will be announced this year. and I also heard Pacquiao is a hot contender to win and get the title of the fighter of the decade.
do you have any boxing fighter who deserves the title of "Fighter of the decade"?

I am not sure if it's already announce or what. but I see this, article blow and it says, Floyd is the fighter of the decade.

WBN name Floyd Mayweather Fighter of the Decade 2010-2019

Pacquiao gets the Fighter of the Year but Mayweather got the Fighter of the Decade. But on my end, I think, should be Pacquiao, in all 4 decades of his boxing history, he is still standing and fighting, even battling with new boxers. Mayweather is just on safe spot but the real fight in the ring goes to Pacquiao. Just my opinion.

I don't like Floyd Mayweather, but I think he deserves to be the fighter of the decade here.

He clearly beats Manny in 2015 and other great boxers in the last decade so props to him. Of course we don't want Floyd's style, but he was unbeatable.
5523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 18, 2020, 04:17:36 AM

Novak Djokovic is the clear favourite to bring home the trophy because of the strength of his ATP showing. But I like Roger Federer odds, but him and Djokovic is on the same draw if I'm not mistaken. So it will be tough for Roger in this year's AO.

I think the big 3 will still dominate the betting market, and who will be their good opponents there are some young players like Medvedev Stistipas Zverev.

Krygios is a good tennis player with best serve but he has a weakness in controlling emotions that is often the problem, but he cannot be underestimated.

Yep, I'm still banking with my boy here, Stefanos Tsitsipas, I do hope that he can have a break out year and win Grand Slam.

How about Women' Singles?
Barty is favorite as a champion.

Women side as different though, Osaka was very inconsistent as the start of the year even losing her top spot. And with that said, it's hard to predict who's going to be on top, as I have said they are very inconsistent so perhaps we will see another name coming up in the womens side.
5524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: January 18, 2020, 03:53:18 AM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?

Obviously, it is worthless at this moment, I remember they said that WPP will be a stable coin or at least pegged to USD, LOL, worst marketing I have ever heard. So investors buy the hype, the project raises in millions but look at the f**ing price. To be honest I almost buy the hype of this project, but when I heard that 1 USD, I just laugh because unless they are stable coins, they can't achieved that because traders are going to attack it at all angle to make money. Too bad for bounty hunters, another project that will simply be forgotten and could be consider as failed project with so much potential.
5525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Hodlonaut? on: January 18, 2020, 01:17:24 AM
Ahh, lovely news. CSW likes to boast his alpha status to everyone and claims to be Satoshi then this happens. Everything is falling apaart on his circle of lies as expected. There literally is no way the guy is winning this case. Heck, even the Judge doesn't care and throws the case over to a different jurisdiction, much to everyone's satifaction. This is just the start, and perhaps the next big flop of his lies will be against the Kleiman estate.

I agree, he really thought that he can steam roll everyone who went against his way. Hodlonaut drama was big last year and today we learn that it was a case not CSW is not going to win at any court.

Seriously, it's funny to see the con-man getting conned due to his own actions. Kudos to hodlonaut for standing ground against this persom who thinks he can bull anyone who goes against his delusions.

Karma is a bitch. Now he has a big hill to climb in Feb 3. Let his BSV pump but we all know that once the court proves that he doesn't have control of those bitcoin addresses everything will fall one by one.
5526  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Protect Your Crypto Wallet if Someone Searches Your Phone? on: January 17, 2020, 02:23:55 AM
Hmm, for me the best thing is not let anyone touches your phone simply as that. Maybe you can encrypt your phone or something, but what if the authorities "force" you to open it up.

It's either not to used your mobile phone, or get a hardware wallet, or used a different phone for your crypto dealing separate from your personal phone. So in any case, you could have at least a line of defense for this kind of scenario in the future.
5527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin touch 9k USD next month? on: January 17, 2020, 01:27:01 AM
We're almost there, last time I checked BTC = $87++. So it the momentum continues in the next couple of days, definitely $9k is achievable again. It's a big barrier to breach that number, but I'm sure if the bulls are really back in the market, we can easily slice and probably going for the 5 digit again.

We need more people to FOMO to kick that next barrier to break, so we will see, this is just the beginning of the month, but everything is falling into pieces specially that block halving is coming this May.
5528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHICH CRYPTO MOBILE APPS DO YOU USE? on: January 17, 2020, 01:05:47 AM
Hey traders! I'm curious which apps do you use and why?
Is it safer to trade via pc/mobile/no difference?
Thank you

Well they are safe if you get it from the source itself. But the thing with trading thru mobile is that the screen is too small for me (although there are a lot of smart phones with large screen now).

So for me, I still go with the old and traditional way of using m pc/laptop to trade. Lots of advantage on my end. And I hear that people sometimes misclick their trading with their mobile phone, so lots of hassle specially you are involving yourself with huge amount of money here.

Edit: I only have Binance apps and some local trading platform on my mobile.
5529  Other / Off-topic / Re: your internet costs and income on: January 17, 2020, 12:31:34 AM
~snip~

My internet costs are fixed every month (if we are talking about home internet), and let's say that they are not too expensive considering it is a flat internet (no data limit), and that speed is around 40 Mbps. The price for that internet and fix phone is around 20 EUR per month. Considering that I spend a lot of time online, I find this price very good and currently it does not represent a big expense to me in my home budget.

I know that internet prices are different, and some countries like Cuba have very expensive and limited internet so your question makes sense. But I still think that the majority still pays too expensive and limited data + slow internet. This is certainly one of the most significant obstacles to a major BTC adaptation, as well as the fact that almost half of the world's population has no access to the internet. Welcome to the 21st Century Sad

Personally, in my case, this is a big problem, I'm subscribed with a internet + phone and supposedly unlimited bandwith, however if you're going to look closely, they have a clause which they call "Fair usage policy". It is also around 20 EUR (but less Mbps), but the services really suck. I wanted to run a full bitcoin core here, but with intermittent connects and continue lagging here, I doubt that I can sustain it.

Our government is working to have some new faces to enter the market to provide better services, otherwise, we don't have a choice here, sad but true.
5530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 17, 2020, 12:08:31 AM
^^ ATP Cup was exciting to watch. Two of the best players, Djokovic vs Nadal fight it out for their respective countries, but Serbia come up on top. Djokovic partnered with Troicki  to seal the with for them. It was really a classic match between Djokovic vs Nadal, no one giving a edge, save break points, one will be down 0-40 and then comeback and take the set, it was really a thriller!!!.

@Kemarit I felt sad that Nadal lost the match because he put so much efforts in this game, but yet he couldn’t win it for his country. Djokovic on the other hand was absolutely brilliant and his determination to win was unbelievable though I like him, but I was secretly wishing he would loose the match but my wish didn’t come true and in the end he won the match.

Yes, we can see the Nadal was really putting a lot of effort, as I have said, it was a absolute thriller as no on wanted to loss in a match wherein you represent your country. I also thought that Nadal could win the match, but Djokovic dig down inside, and his shot making is brilliant. Just sad to see that someone like Nadal will be on the losing end.
5531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another BSV pump today? on: January 16, 2020, 01:24:19 AM
What do you think, will BSV reach new highs today? Is another pump possible?

They can pump whenever they want, but the thing is, can it be sustainable? That's a big question specially for those who wanted to join this so called 'fun'. Let me warn you though, you might be trap and can't exit on time. And for those who have been inside, watch out, take profits and don't be greedy. Personally, I'm not sold, its clearly a pump-and-dump and someone is really manipulating the price.
5532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: token supply on: January 16, 2020, 01:01:02 AM
sometimes I think if you look at the amount of token supply in such a large amount that trillions and trillions after the project runs several months or years, the token will be burned, what for if you make tokens with a large supply, but will be burned, ...?

 Roll Eyes

Right, it doesn't make sense for a token to have a lot of supply in the very beginning. We all know that the value will go down hard. And the only way they can avoid it is by burning their tokens, but why not limit the supply in the beginning. Perhaps it is their plans in the very beginning, to at least bring some hype again specially when they announce their token burning. But I haven't seen a project becoming successful with this strategy though. Better to start small, like BTC, so that the price will steadily increase specially if the project is really that good.
5533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Craig Wright's Court Battle - Bitcoin on: January 16, 2020, 12:41:21 AM
Even prior to the latest CSW drama in court, Bitcoin has been making a run to $8000 already. So I doubt that the news has something to do with the recent spike. The year has started in a good note, perhaps people are eager to get inside because of the looming block halving in May. The only pump that we have seen is the BSV, but we understand it, people behind wanted to manipulate to their favour. They or at least CSW has 3 weeks to proved that he has the keys, otherwise we might see a -90% plummet of BSV after the said date.

5535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any further forecast? on: January 14, 2020, 03:29:57 PM
People says that the bearish market is over but still some feels that it's a bull trap there will be one more dump before halving, some of them even believes that the bull run has already started. I know the market is unpredictable and nothing can be taken into consideration when it comes to predictions but kindly vouch your opinions about current market.

Hard to say mate, personally I thought that this is just a bull trap and that we might fall back to $7500 range. However, the market proved me wrong again. I was discussing with someone about the price as I was gone in the last 24 hours and was completely shock to see the price breaching $8500 on some exchanges.

And with that said, I don't like to make any predictions, I will just let the market do it's thing and flow normally. What I mean is that I don't like to see some artificial pump like we have seen with other altcoins right now. Everything is still base on supply and demand and I do hope that the demand today is real as it gets.
5536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trojan mining software on: January 14, 2020, 03:03:14 PM
Thanks for the heads up.

I think it's very known that you shouldn't download mining software from unknown sources. If you're into mining altcoins, don't go for the unpopular ones if you're ever an experimenter please know what you do. Did the trojan took your funds or you're lucky to save it?

I know others used some kind of sandbox software to at least isolate and test and see the download program specially from unknown source before they can fully download it to their machine.

To the OP, maybe you need to fully reconfigure your machine to be on the safe side. Maybe there are still some malwares not removed by the application.
5537  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitmain co-founder in legal war against shareholders of the company on: January 14, 2020, 02:36:46 PM
I do not think that the justification for bitcoin halving is the main reason for exempting employees, because it is a naive comparison, for example, 50% of employees, because the value of the rewards goes down by half.

I think it's just one excuse to reduced its employees, maybe because the company is not really earning as it is supposedly claim. Or probably Jihan is using it to purge the ranks of Bitmain of people who are against him. So nothing to do with bitcoin halving but personal vendetta inside his company.

The war going in Bitmain is quite interesting to watch. Both of these personalities are known in the Bitcoin mining industry and whatever they are saying and doing will have ripple effects on the company they are fighting for. Whoever win the upper hand at the end certainly deserves some form of congratulations. Personally, I have no stake on this company and its future so I really do not care, just a spectator of the fight is my fittest description. Whatever can be the real reasons for the plan to trim down the employee list drastically are things these people only know fully. Let's watch further development on this internal Bitmain conflict.

Well it has drastically affected them as a whole, internal bickering like this one will have a domino effect on the industry that they are part of. And look at what @1Referee has posted, it looks like Bitmain is losing their grip and power, is has a bad effect on them. But in the long run, we do love to see them losing some ground so that other might take the place and make mining more decentralised. And let other mining companies learn a lesson from Bitmain internal conflict, CEO should get everything on one page.
5538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: January 14, 2020, 02:06:35 PM
What is the purpose of making that unification fight ? You don't get any belt. You don't get any rating points. The only thing you can get is an injury. And money...
Well, I suppose money is everything it's still the same as getting a belt though. Just look at Floyd Mayweather going against weaker opponents to get that easy money with just an exhibition fight. Expect already that there are gamblers too who will going to vouch money for gambling purposes only.

We all know that boxing is a business, so I guess when there is a lot of money in the table, reunification, mandatory fights can be put aside and make fights that will make a lot of money for promoters and fighter themselves.

@xZork - I agree, it was very disrespectful on the part of Lopez, but I think a lot of trash talk between him and Magdaleno, lots of emotion involved and being very young, he might has gone overboard with his antics that time.
5539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 01:44:30 PM
First off, we really know that CSW is not Satoshi. But this whole drama and court proceedings will really proved once and for all that he is a pathological liar. But I think that we will not stop from trolling us with his lavish claim. I guess it's about time that we as crypto enthusiast stop talking about this guy and let CSW demise together with his BSV.

Are people going to patronize his BSV, perhaps, but if you're really a crypto enthusiast I think it's about time to stop because of the shady personality behind.
5540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ruined my account through multiple mistakes on: January 11, 2020, 06:26:13 AM
You just have to stop trading for a while just to be able to clear your mind.

As I was saying here, crypto trading is a journey, you can't just go everyday and trade and think that you are going to win. You also have to re-assess everything before continuing. In your case, it's better to reset and just think what went wrong and try to improved your trading strategy. As for the advise as to how you're going to trade, then no one can answer that for you. You are the only person that can answer that, maybe someone will advise you to do this and do that, but it might not work on your end.
