5521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Gameplays and Strategies on: September 04, 2020, 06:39:29 AM

As an aspiring poker player myself, I can say that it is better to overestimate luck than underestimate it. There is a dangerous trap waiting in the path of a "shark", namely, the illusion that you are  unbeatable. Some well-known poker pros lost a lot of money because of falling into this trap. Imo, it is always better to think that you were lucky in the case of winning, and to think that you were not skillful enough in the case of losing. It is a good strategy for improving your skills, and not falling into the trap I mentioned.

Luck definitely plays a big role during each individual hand you play, but on a bigger scale luck becomes not important anymore. On almost all of the poker softwares you can look at your past hands. It makes sense to keep track of your general plays. Like which hand are you playing good and make money and where are you losing money. It can happen that you lose with AA vs 27 in one hand. But across 10,000 off hands you will see AA dominate. It's all about playing for a long time to make luck not so important anymore.
5522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 04, 2020, 06:16:33 AM
Well, we are gambling on these players' performances and match results but they, the players of these eSports games themselves, are not gambling. I am not familiar with majority of the players of these eSports and whether or not there are minors among them, but does it matter?

Some players of DOTA II, PUBG, Fortnite, Mobile Legends, Call of Duty, and other eSports joining major leagues and other tournaments may be underage but they are certainly playing with the full consent of their parents or guardians.

And, again, they are not gambling. They're joining tournaments and it so happened that these tournaments are provided with gambling odds by sportsbooks on which gamblers could place their bet.

I agree, there is a lot of price money involved and the players want to win. There have been a few scandals about match fixing, but this happened in any sport with a long enough track record. Esports is evolving as more and more people are watching it. Gamblers should have the chance to bet on their favourite sport including Esports. Also even if some players are minors they are all atleast above 16 and have the consent of their parents to play in these games and tournaments. Personally I am glad the betting on esports is growing so much.
5523  Other / Off-topic / Re: I expect this to become a major Flat Earth breakthrough on: September 04, 2020, 05:51:57 AM
It's not understandable for me how people actually can believe in 2020 that the earth is flat. What's the point? I don't see any value for people to not accepting common knowledge. It doesn't effect their daily lives at all, all it does is fighting the system. I wish people would stop with such attitudes. I mean there are so many problems right now, does it really matter if the world is round? Are you so self centered to assume that your country is in the center of the universe and everything rotates around it?
5524  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed Smokers and Covid on: September 03, 2020, 02:01:34 PM
Seriously, during this pandemic I've been offered weed 3 times. 1. Blunt with like a bunch of people 5 maybe, all taking hits, Medical marijuana in from a vape like thing, and another blunt between 3.

I'm not going to clarify whether I partook in the devil's letttuce, but I wonder, have any of you had the same experience?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm talking about strangers offering that, people that I just met in the great outdoors on separate occasions.

People probably just have to much free time at the moment. I wouldn't smoke anything at the moment, not cigarettes or weed. Corona is very bad if your lung is already infected before. And there can be serious long term effects for your lungs. Better to stay healthy in these pandemic times.
5525  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin purpose why and for what this is the reason on: September 03, 2020, 07:58:33 AM

bitcoin will back up digital currency btc purpose will be what gold purpose was when fiat currency arrived.

btc is backing up new digital currecny wich are the stable coins little we know that stable coins value is determined by BTC PRICE.

if btc is up the stable coin purache power is low if btc is down the stable coin purache power is up.

These are some very good arguments why people should invest into bitcoins. It's the biggest coin out there and for many people crypto currencies means bitcoins.

One more argument I would make is diversification. In a well manged portfolio on which you hold stocks, bonds, commodities and of course different currencies we should Kot muss put on cyrptos. We can't predict the next crisis correctly (for example who predicted corona 1 year ago?) it's just Kot realistic. Better to have a portfolio with a well spread out asset classes. So if one position goes down, another will go up.
5526  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: September 03, 2020, 07:33:27 AM

Yes, banks and crypto have different purposes and features and they have their own community. Banks will exist for many years because I agree that it will adopt those features that it doesn't have and will develop their system to be the most reliable money system in this world. Fiat currencies are one of the essential since not all of us aren't capable of using digital currency such as cryptocurrency and banks already adapted the online banking system that acts the same with digital money where we can pay digitally. I always see them as different things and can't be compared, there's no replacement will occur because it has a different agenda.

Just looking at my parents, they have such problems with the internet in general that there is no way they could be using cryptos only or just use the internet like paypal to pay and get their money. If we had no more banks and there wouldn't be and financial services firms managing the money for older people (i.e. banks) a lot of people would be helpless. The older we humans get the less we can get used to knew technology. Unfortunately thats just in our nature, the brain doesn't function as good as a teenager anymore. Learning becomes so much more difficult with age that I don't see any chance of us to live without bank in the near future.
5527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin To Invest In 2020 And Why? on: September 03, 2020, 07:25:43 AM
How about this year? Does anyone know what are the best altcoin to invest in 2020. Like for example, once I invest $100, I will get 100x. Looking forward to your suggestions.

I want to invest small amount of money like $50 that can give me a huge ROI after hodling for a few years.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Not sure if you want to look at alt coins which preformed very well in 2020 so far, because it's not an indication that they prices just keep rising. If you look at ETH for example, they had a pretty good year and still have plenty of room to rise. If you look for a good alternative to Bitcoins I would recommend ETH, but expecting a 100x return is very unrealistic. For these kind of returns you need to go into very cheap alt coins and the risks are huge with these coins. Better to do some research on your own than just believing in someone else. For those kind of returns you are looking for you need to accept a lot of risks to lose all your money.
5528  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if Corona Virus lasts forever? on: September 03, 2020, 07:21:06 AM

If Corona Virus lasts forever Human will find a way to live with it like HIV and others. We are created to adapt to any situation

...but I don't think it will stay long

I agree we humans are very adaptable and will find a way to live with corona. Unfortunately the flu is changing every year and affects millions of people each year. Something similar could happen to corona, that we see it happen every year. But we should be able to find drugs that make the symptons much less severe and lower the fatality rates.
5529  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where else should I travel? on: September 02, 2020, 09:31:50 AM
With the corona numbers still being so high I am not sure if it's the best time to travel. How about just traveling in your own country? There will be probably places you never visited before. Travelling somewhere close to home also avoids using planes or trains, you can just go with our own car. The risks of infecting yourself or your family with corona is much lower. Also the risk of spreading a potential infection across borders is not there.
5530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto community getting lost again? on: September 02, 2020, 09:10:43 AM
I don't think the crypto community is getting lost again, but I am worried the new people who joined in the crypto world will get the biggest loss since they don't know much about how the crypto play. They can get attracted to the defi trend while they don't follow from the beginning, and that can make them invest in the defi project without knowing if that project can survive for a long time.

The defi project will end soon, and it will replace the other new project and the new trend. So before this trend ends, we need to take as much profit as possible, and then we can leave it and not come back if it does not give us more profit.

I agree with you, the crypto community is rising again. As long as the prices in crypto currencies are going up I would not say that the community is getting lost again. Also looking on the forum we see a lot of new people signing up with interest into cryptos. As long as new people come into the community and old people still are active we are doing good. It is on all of to make the community bigger.
5531  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why doesn't Europe just take on every refugee from Turkey? on: September 02, 2020, 08:58:35 AM
Just spent some time crunching the numbers and the number of migrants (6 million) is the equivelant of the number of working age people in the UK that were classed as capable of work in 2017 (OK I didn't get the actual number but I took a third of all adults who were out of work which will do). I think Sweden is said to have a 16% migrant population so what's stopping the rest of the west from taking on more?

If there would be a unity within Europe to spread out the refugees to all countries across Europe it would be much more easy to find a solution. But there is no unity. We have countries in Europe that didn't take any refugees since 2015 and the EU has no mechanism to deal with these countries. To find a real solution to immigration and for the refugees we would need to change the EU laws but for that you need a 100% majority which is never going to happen.
5532  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the future of the internet? on: September 02, 2020, 08:52:29 AM
Maybe one day, you can buy a flying car using the internet and delivered to your home address.

I wish I could time travel in the future.

Unfortunately time travel is not really working bro. So far no one really met anyone doing time travels which would mean that in the future no one invented time travels yet. It's a nice theme for scifi movies but not for reality.

The future of the internet will look like that you can buy everything online and just deliver it at home, physical stores will be things of the past.
5533  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Casino and Betting Advantages For Online Gamblers on: September 02, 2020, 08:41:33 AM

  • Wide Variety Of Games
  • Device Compatibility
  • Bonus and Promotion Offerings
  • Efficient and Proactive Support
  • Reliable Gaming Software
  • Highlight Provably Fair Gaming

Promotions are a nice way to find new players for a casino, but in the long run I would not choose a casino only on the promotions. Personally for me the best criteria to choose a casino is security. How safe is the casino? Is there a long track record? Any scam accusations? The forum is a great way to check first.
5534  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get rich on: September 02, 2020, 08:20:26 AM
I did not read the whole original post. It is a pain in the ass to read them without formatting.

Going back to the topic. If you want to get rich, you have to put in the work. It is not rocket science. Do what you love to do and find ways to monetize them. Do something that you love in a consistent basis and you will find your gold.

This is definitely the best advise for a wholesome life where you should be well off. But to become really rich it is not enough. Luck plays a huge part in who becomes rich and who will just stay in the middle class. There are so many hard working people doing  their jobs to the best of the abilities and still never end up becoming really rich. It's better not to only focus on becoming rich, better to be happy and healthy than rich in my opinion.
5535  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it time to think of cash and bank deposits as different currencies? on: September 02, 2020, 08:08:51 AM
Well, since we have a zero reserve policy at the moment, banks don't need deposits to lend money. In fact deposits can be a nuisance, as they cost money to maintain. However, they do bring in customers to be persuaded to take out loans, and then their assets can be repossessed when they lose their jobs.

Money in the form of gold coins and bullion bars is still used as a currency amongst the elite, and the UK government gives them various tax breaks to do this. I guess this is because they know the true value of fiat currencies.

As long as the government is still guaranteeing bank deposits until a certain level we should be fine.  Of course cash at home is different to money at the bank because it's just not the same availability. Most banks have a limit of daily or weekly withdrawl, so full access on your money might not be really there and it could take a few weeks to get all our money converted into cash. But on the other side there are security risk with having a large amount of cash at home.

5537  Economy / Economics / Re: New life and 2 lind of society new Reality working poor on: September 01, 2020, 10:27:46 AM
I said I Don't Give free info but I couldt hold Back

But this one will be last!!  So enjoy guys

Now there it comes times when its Easy to become ultra super Rich or stay poor!!!

But allmost impossible to be in Middle class.

Even many poor people year 2020-2021 will become wealthy!
And Middle class become poor

Now Everybody Got to choose either poor or Rich!!
Its Easy to get Rich as to be poor but no way anymore for middle class If You choose to be honest hard working Good Middle class... It just Don't work!!

You either Rich or You poor.
Good news is that to get Rich Not so difficult.

What's your secret to become rich?

Unforuntaely the middle class is declining for the last 20 years. Just look 60 years ago when a working husband was sufficient to provide for a family with kids. In todays world its almost impossible for not both parents working.

One good thing is that being poor is not so bad as it used to be, a lot of gadgets and electronics are much more affordable now than they used to be.
5538  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the world governments ever allow crypto to survive? What next? on: September 01, 2020, 10:21:24 AM

However some cryptocurrencies think they are invincible and can exist and no government can ban them. Thought this can be debated by many, in my personal opinion. It is really hard for cryptocurrencies to exist without approval of governments.

One good thing about governments is that they never really work together. On an international scale governments try to exploit each other - tax heavens - gaming regulations - alcohol or even drugs - Law is different in almost every country. I don't see that all governments will work together just to ban crypto currencies. The incentive his just too high for some countries to go their own way and make cryptos very attractive in their country. With the internet today their is no chance we will see crypto currencies fully controlled, there will always be a blackmarket in my opinion.
5539  Other / Off-topic / Re: What kind of PC chair do you use? on: September 01, 2020, 10:17:47 AM
I am using the IKEA Markus Chair at the moment. It's fairly cheap and comfortable. But since I am spending so much time at home now due to covid-19 and home office I want to get a new chair. An ergonomic gaming chair will be the most likely choice for me. The secret lab chair seems pretty cool and not too expensive. Anyone has any bad experience with them?
5540  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's time to destroy China, don't buy anything from them ,don't deal with them on: September 01, 2020, 09:39:55 AM

If you see them in your country beat the shit out of them ,spit them in their face and send them back to communist China ...

Spit in their food ,piss in their food ,water make them not welcomed in your countries.

Dude, that is a bit crazy. How do you know for sure he is from China and not maybe from Korea, Thailand or Vietnam? Just by looking Asian we can't punish them.

Also we should not use violence. If we are unhappy with the economic war of China we should respond economically. It's on all of us what kind of products to buy, where they were build.
