5521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 28, 2021, 04:14:01 PM
Koeman has worked hard and I think the results from his first season is acceptable. Fans want to win as many titles as possible but in the last summer, I did not believe that Barcelona will be able to win any title in this season.

They won Coppa del Rey and want to win La Liga. They should be realistic with what they have and how they began this season.

When Koeman took charge of Barcelona, at the start of the season, Barcelona was a team that was completely upset. There was no coordination between the players. Koeman has stabilized the team enough. Aguero has joined Barcelona this season. As a result, one more experienced player has grown in Barcelona's forward lineup. If Koeman is able to make Barcelona's defense a little stronger, Barcelona will be unstoppable next season.

I agree. Acceptable. I'm still personally not super convinced about Koeman but I believe that we all need to exercise patience with a manager and allow him to have his strategy in place. Look at Pep look at Klopp and learn the lessons of successful clubs at England. Barca have been in need of a rehaul since a long time now so we might as well do it with the Dutch national hero.
5522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are not even 21M BTCs, I'd say max.17M BTCs available at a given time on: May 28, 2021, 02:25:28 PM
The reason why we still use the 21 million cap when talking about bitcoin is the same exact reason why you use the word "probably" when talking about the 17 million cap assumption. While I think something like 17-18m is more probable due to the lost BTC, 21m is simply just a more factual metric. While 17m-19m is likely, we really don't have data on how much BTC are actually lost. We only know that they ain't moving, but not necessarily "lost".

Yeah, in the very unlikely event we forever lose some of those BTC, some of those other missing 4 million could very easily wake up one day. And since we don't know the specifics of this, it's okay for me to think of 21 million. I don't know what the issue is, it's cool to happen, so what. Pedantic behavior is usually pointless with Bitcoin:)
5523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 28, 2021, 12:47:55 PM
It is amazing for villarreal's journey this season, even though in the laliga standings they are in seventh place, but Viillarreal, who won the 2020/21 Europa League, immediately got the right to appear in the main round of the Champions League next season.
In other words, Villarreal immediately moved up to two classes, from what was supposed to take part in the qualifying play-off round of UEFA's third tier competition, the UEFA Conference League, to go straight to the Champions League, and with the managed to get the trophy european league, this certainly strengthens Unai Emery as one of the European league specialist coaches, and of course it's worth looking forward to how far Villarreal's journey will go next season in the Champions League.

Indeed. Small club small town big team. So many people would be jealous of this including myself at some point. You see the way it is run, and to win their first major final (I don't care Europa is a big and major tournament for me) they deserve all the drunk nights they will do for the weeks to come:)

And exactly. Arsenal no Europe, Spurs only Conference but big Villareal go to the biggest stage!
5524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Paypal To Add Support For Third-Party BITCOIN WALLET TRANSFERS on: May 28, 2021, 12:10:30 PM
Not news though as I know? Paypal was always saying they would do a real bitcoin wallet some day down the line, so this is probably just an initial version of their feature to test out their new wallet client first to see how it would work before putting in a proper client.

How are they going to keep regulated I wonder if the govt starts to implement sanctions:)
5525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2021, 10:40:43 AM
Inzaghi at Inter, Allegri back at Juve, Poch back at Spurs? Two of those moves are people who brought the most fame to both clubs so I guess that kinda makes sense. Kinda. Benitez back in Premier League? This must be a record season for all these big names in football I can't even keep up anymore. And Barca has the smallest name in this superstar arena Koeman haha.

5526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the Perfect Bitcoin yet to be inveted ? on: May 28, 2021, 10:07:45 AM
It seems that so far you are still in doubt about BTC following the corrections that occurred this month. Everyone wants to own BTC for various reasons and desires, one thing to remember needs study and analysis first. In my opinion, BTC is still the top. I pay attention and read the developments so far. and if you want to invest in either BTC or other coins / tokens for now it is highly recommended because the price is still low but requires accuracy and analysis in making investments.

Well, sometimes even study and analysis is not enough, and can even get you in the wrong spot to make good decisions, depending a lot on the sources of information you find. Unfortunately Google doesn't always help in that regard, which explains why so many people end up doing shit things on shit websites.

Whatever it is, Bitcoin first, and not everything in it. And consider everything you put in as gone. Then you're good.
5527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What effect does a growing number of altcoins have on Bitcoin on: May 28, 2021, 08:49:35 AM
I have wondered why the new projects have not created solutions in order to improve bitcoin.
Really, I wish that was the case and that the new developments were focused on meeting the demands of bitcoin users. But the opposite is happening as OP mentions.
The new coins or the altcoins are totally detached from the functionalities of bitcoin so I agree as some of you say that they want to be superior to bitcoin and that is their purpose.
Although I think they will not make it, bitcoin has faced battles from which it has remained undefeated.

But listen, almost all the alt projects set out to do this, improve Bitcoin.

But only very few improved some things. Most only solved what seemed to be a problem but ended up only providing band aid solutions. Bitcoin Cash is the biggest example of this. They thought okay, so btc is so small the blocks, let's just make blocks bigger and we solve the tps issue. But as they found out, that only creates bigger blockchains, not solving problem permanently.
5528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 28, 2021, 08:11:37 AM
The problem isn't in Solskjaer. The problem is above him, and in general perception of Manchester United.

Yesterday was all the proof you need. The majority expected United to win, a lot of people gave Villarreal no chance at all. After all, they are playing United!

These times have passed, United is nowhere near what they were and they need to start acting like it. Their last league win was almost 10 years ago, their last trophy that same Europa league won under Mourinho in 2017.

The aura around the club is as if they deserve the trophy without even playing for it and the reality is that they have been utter crap throughout the last 10 years or so. Dropping Solskjaer? For what exactly? He actually overachieved this season.

Finally someone who makes sense. I'm not a United fan at all but even I can see the problem has never been with the managers. It was not OGS, It was not Mourinho, It was never van Gaal or all the other people in between Ferguson and now. It has always been the American owners problems.

Which is different at City and Chelsea, even though they have rich owners, they structure things very differently.

Totally agree OGS overachieved (but then he did have expensive squad).

Been out for a while, taking a break after that Bustadice long run, but I didn't want to miss out congratulating the winners.

So, Congratulations to all of you guys @casperBGD, @tomahawk9, @LTU_btc and @big_daddy. It was a long nonstop season Shocked
Honestly, at some points, I even missed entering some picks because I was caught off guard by the ever continuous game weeks. It was a hell of rollercoaster season Cheesy, so I would say it wasn't easy at all but you guys come out at the top.

What bustadice long run haha? Curious to know;) I don't play there anymore, just now at Bitdice but since the bullrun have not played much long sessions anymore because worried I will lose everything like before plus smaller amounts of btc now price is so expensive!

And again yeah it was a crazy season for me too, so unimaginable it felt like two seasons were played back to back because of Covid:)
5530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legends and Veterans. Seeking wisdom... on: May 28, 2021, 04:56:02 AM
Bitcoin Legends are not necessary veterans, and the same the other way around. And we can look to their lessons to seek our own wisdom, for example to see their behaviors not knowing what was in store.

Some people came in from the very start, started trying to trade and regret selling at $3 and liquid at 10.
Some rekt from throwing away Bitcoin private keys and forgetting.
Some put into other alts and much regret.

We have the fortune and we can have the wisdom:)
5531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 27, 2021, 05:16:19 PM
So apparently your club has to cut 10-15% of the budget, and the solution is to fire your manager? I know the media says it is because Conte did not want to work with a club that was stripped off its best players but surely 15% cut means you can also just offload most of your other playing staff who did not get any playing time? I am sure the story is not what is said.
5532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 27, 2021, 01:07:38 PM
Toulouse is playing Nantes tonight, for a Ligue1 spot next season
it is played on two games, and Nantes is a bit better team, since they were Ligue1 team this season, but Toulouse is ready to kick them out

it is good for a home win tonight, and I will put this on my list, especially since @2.8 is worth the risk, IMO, Nantes will have their chance at home, to fight back, but I think that Toulouse will see Ligue1 next season

I'd definitely back the home team for the first leg, but Nantes will be more desperate to go back up I guess though they may feel if they don't make it then they will get stuck, but you're right at those odds it seems worth to back Toulouse.

Do you know if there are any spots other than Ligue 1 for the new Conference league? Through a different cup route maybe? I'm trying to learn more about it as the prize money seems attractive for small clubs.
5533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it so bad that Elon and Saylor are talking with miners about clean energy on: May 27, 2021, 11:42:45 AM
Anytime someone is trying to act as an authority figure people will be suspicious about their motives. If billionaires somehow were able to influence a majority of miners to do their bidding it would destroy Bitcoin. They could make changes to benefit their corporate interests. It is preferred to keep mining as decentralized as possible instead of having to be accountable to any leadership.

They also tried that, remember? New York conference miner group or whatever in 2017. Tried to blackmail Bitcoin into following what they want, and now most of those people either pretended it didn't happen or just kind of apologized and went back to normal.

Corporate interest all the time whenever this sort of "council" talk is brought up and to pretend to be good for the community pah.
5534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 27, 2021, 11:03:30 AM
I know this isn't the place for Conference League discussion but since someone brought it up today I saw the prize money structure. More money for Europa teams (less prize pool but less teams also so bigger cut) and then now millions also for Conference group winners. Total can be 9 milllon euros for Conference League same as Europa. Maybe even we will see more teams fight to qualify for Champions League and don't mind to drop to Europa or Conference?

Oh and welcome Villareal:)
5535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency Analytics from FXOpen on: May 27, 2021, 09:48:22 AM
The price of Bitcoin has recovered significantly from Sunday’s low of around $32,000 as it made an increase of 27% measured to its highest point today at $39.723. Since then we have seen a minor pullback with the price currently being traded at $37,896 and moving to the downside again.

Struggling right now and seesawing from 36-39k, could not stay up above 40k so that's the worrying point for most speculators. Or maybe there is just a big order wall to sell at 40k that eats every demand up at this point.

2 more days to the weekend maybe we get more idea about direction when US wakes up I guess and see where their buying/selling takes us?
5536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 27, 2021, 09:11:13 AM
Ah so it finally seems closer and closer to be true that Wijnaldum goes to Barcelona. Said it before that I'm not sure I want him at the club given the recent history of ex Liverpool greats coming to us (except suarez, he was so good he probably kicked off the buy from Liverpool era). Not to say Coutinho wasn't good, he just wasn't as good a fit and I fear the same for this Dutch midfielder. On the surface he seems great fit. He wins balls and keeps it so well, and is one of their best dribblers but we need to phase out of keep ball for Messi psychology.
5537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: May 27, 2021, 07:53:50 AM
Yes we know! Even if this fees not comfortable for you then move on BSC network. There are many projects looking forward on BSC network so you should invest there. At least we can said that if eth price will go down again then gas fees gonna low. Moreover, you have to choice best one which have good opportunity.

And when the fees there go up as they already are, and you realize the development work is not progressing as decentralized as say ETH, and you realize actually the community is all defi speculators, then you can maybe reconsider ETH again. 2.0 is taking months maybe even next year anyway;) Fees are important but they are not ALL important.
5538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin crash an opportunity to enter the market? on: May 27, 2021, 07:11:30 AM
The hard part is determining what is the tip of the spike. I much prefer to advise people or investors to set a target, and cash out at that target regardless. Wait, until Bitcoin takes a hit again, and that's your next investment start point. Currently, because of how volatile Bitcoin is, you get these opportunities. However, this will likely change, and become less dramatic over time, which is when I would advise hoarding it, would be the best option or simply by that time using as a currency might be a little more viable.

This is the problem with buy low sell high, agree. It seems so easy to do, especially now when we're in a cycle and can see the market go up 2 or 3 times from 2017 ATH. But I always feel afraid of selling too far from the tip, and what if the rally just goes on and on and then you end up never being able to buy back in? Then your journey is "over" and you didn't enjoy the top.
5539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 27, 2021, 05:09:57 AM
Well the same goes for Rulli because both keepers play for a full 120 minutes and both didnt manage to save any penalty before their turn. I just had the hunch that after the 6th shooter from both teams scored, I knew for a second that this might end with either of the keepers failing to score. Rulli took the shot first and managed to score then I had the hunch that De Gea might fail

Well I gotta say that Manchester United did all they could for this game and it was basically 50 50 at the penalty shootout so yeah its all good though. Runner up in Europa League and 2nd in EPL, next season would be better  Smiley

For sure it was 50/50 such is penalty. If anyone can blame de Gea they are idiots. As I thought last night, super hard game to predict, and no real favorites even if bookie odds said it was Man Utd.

Getting second place after trying so hard is the worst feeling, and we shall see next season how this impacts them. Most teams after coming so close then just drop away. You have to be so strong to try again and win.
5540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bloodbath! on: May 26, 2021, 07:02:59 PM
It is exactly what happened in the past and up to now.

How many of those who said to transfer in Memecoins really make profit? and how many have lost?

Why gamble in shitcoins when you can be secure in Bitcoin , because if you only wanted to gamble then Just go to gambling site and try your luck .

Well, probably a lot of them still. DOGE was shilled below 100 satoshi and is still in 800+ ranges.

Most of the shit alt memecoins cost nothing and was airdropped and shilled to death.

The ones that lost a lot bought near the top and these were probably newbies who poured cash and not BTC into these stupid DEXs selling memeshibas and what not.

Remember, crash isn't happening just yet, the tears haven't come!
