5541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: November 08, 2019, 06:57:52 AM
I do not know if you will take the advices you have already gotten or not, but one thing is certain, you're the one who's left with the final decision. I dislike threads that ask for investment advice in this way, I feel you should be obliged to do your own research and know what do with your coins.

The best thing I'll tell you is to buy more BTC and hold for a long term, try and increase the amount of BTC you're holding, I wouldn't advice you to invest in any ICO or IEO or Altcoin. they'll probably scam you and you'll lose money.

Aside this, be careful of users who would PM you after this thread, requesting to help, they are scammers, if you get such PM's, try and report them to the moderator.
5542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 07, 2019, 01:57:11 PM
Were you aware Arsenal played their own fixture yesterday already ?
I was shocked myself when I found out Arsenal were playing yesterday, it go me thinking if there was some sort of mix up somewhere  Grin Uefa had to do that to avoid traffic congestion and for security reasons I understand, as Braga who are close town rivals of Victoria SC play today at home as well, better to keep both set of fans out of each others way.

The match I'll be eager to watch today will be Lazio versus Celtic, that's two sides who love to attack, and score goals, I believe there will be goals in this one, the reason I played Lazio to win + ov2. 5 goals.
5543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 07, 2019, 12:36:38 PM
You said you've been holding your eth since it was 1,300 or so, within that time and now there have been times when it surpassed that amount and if you had sold then, would have given you profits, no matter how small. The goal of investment is indeed profit as you know, but selling it right now, you're surely incurring nothing but losses.

If you're a believer in long term investment, as you said, then you should continue holding your eth, at least till it reaches the price you had initially bought it for, and if so kindly surpass it, just do not sell when you'll be on the losing end, it's bad business(investment), except of course you can't do without the ROI right now.
5544  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More time as a newbie on: November 07, 2019, 12:04:27 PM
The newer 'merit' system means you will be spending likely more time as a newbie.
More time you say? It's just one merit fella, that can be gotten almost immediately one registers on the forum and writes something that has an idea in it, that is more than enough to get one merit.

Don't get me wrong, I know it sure is as hell very difficult for many newbies, you can imagine it will, when everything they say is as good as "not useful" "said a million times already" "Spam" etc, yeah, it's hard for those sort of users.
Are you in that category OP?  Wink
5545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 06, 2019, 10:36:15 PM
Arsenal fans moan a lot. They wanted Wenger out & now they want Emery out. Who is good enough to shut Arsenal fans up? Football goes in cycles, nobody is going to make Arsenal better than City & LFC right now.
It's not even about being better than City or Liverpool, it's about competing, mustering something close to a title challenge, picking up three points against some of the big six, Arsenal look more like mediocres this days, everytime they play, you just feel they wouldn't win or they'll blow up any advantage they hold up in the game.

This for sure isn't entirely emery's fault, Arsenal for me do not have top quality players, I do not know what the manager(emery)tells the board, but they need a coach who can make demands, request signings that'll suit his pattern and stuffs like that, Emery isn't doing any of that, he doesn't even look like he has a pattern.
5546  Other / Meta / Re: Is it legal to send messages to bitcointalk users? on: November 06, 2019, 09:34:54 PM
Why in god's name would you want to advertise or market whatever service it is to a specific user, isn't the goal of advertising to reach a wider audience, such as the entire forum.

If I myself receive such message, I'll immediately tag it an attempt to scam me, imagine you have the option to advertise for the whole forum to see, but you choose PM, it's a complete red flag, same as pm's sent to beg for merit, money etc.
5547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a new process to reject more user from getting tokens? on: November 06, 2019, 06:41:10 PM
Is 4 days enough for KYC after 2.5 months?
Were you aware at the start of the campaign that KYC was needed, as far as I know and understand, this projects usually announce their KYC process and requirements at the outset of the campaign, so as soon as the campaign is concluded or even as the campaign is ungoing participants submit them, so they can be reviewed.

So if they did, then four days is enough to get your requirements ready after the bounty must have ended, because according to you the bounty lasted for 1 month and another two months to claim the rewards, so within this time they expect you to be ready with them and should beat the 4 day ultimatum, though some projects are more lenient than the others on matters such as this.
5548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you think most people reads on the forum?? on: November 06, 2019, 06:10:41 PM
Some sections like altcoin discussion is getting out of control with spams and I don't think anyone will read the posts on those section since any useful posts...
The real reason why it's spam filled in the first place is because they do not read, it's either those replying to the OP did not read it, to know if it's a shitpost that should be reported to the moderator rather than being replied to, or they simply do not read the already made replies to know if something similar had been said already, so they wouldn't have any need to post, they just go ahead and post, no matter what it is.
Bitcointalk was one of the most informative forum about cryptos but now bounty hunters invaded every sections and its really hard to find something useful...
It still is, I do not think there is a better place to get updated on cryptocurrencies as well as to learn much about it, as for the spammers, they are actually in every forum/online group etc, not just ours, we just have to use methods such as report to the moderator to reduce it.
5549  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Airdrops worth participating in? WHERE to find all of them? on: November 06, 2019, 12:14:57 PM
Or you can try to increase the rankings of your Bitcointalk account, then you can participate in signature campaigns.
I also thought about giving OP this same advice till I took a look at his(her)post history, it doesn't look like what someone would be willing to merit in a hurry, OP seems to me like newbies(users)who just don't want to apply a little bit of effort, but want to earn handsomely, maybe that's the reason why he or she wants to engage in airdrops, since majority of them require no effort or hardwork.

OP you can do airdrops, bounties and whatever, but just remember to put a good amount of effort into it.
5550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stellar burned half of it's supply and Price Spikes on: November 05, 2019, 01:30:04 PM
I do not hold stellar coins, neither do i intend to, but I have this feeling that this is a smart move, now and even for long term benefits, there is no need keepingi millions of tokens in circulation, and the price is of the coin still stays low.

This would create scarcity for sure, reduce the supply as well, and  increase demand, what all this would do is to give a boost to the price of the coin(stellar), which according to the article it already has, as they have increased by 20% or more in just 24 hours or so, more projects/altcoins should adopt this strategy I think.
5551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 03, 2019, 06:17:26 PM
I hope Leicester sustain the momentum and mount pressure on Man city and Chelsea  in case of any slip among the top three they can take over their positions
Leicester are beginning to make a case in the EPL this season, initially I had to give them time and watch, to be sure it wasn't just an early fluke, but seeing their consistent displays in the last few games, they really have something to offer this season, no doubt they'll make it to either the UCL or the UEL next season.

Next week city take on Liverpool, and after the international break Chelsea, that's two big games on the stretch, if they fail to take maximum points we could see Leicester in second position next week, that's how good they are doing, Brendan Rodgers is doing a fantastic job I must say.
5552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's make the forum a better/more enjoyable place for everyone! on: November 03, 2019, 04:45:15 PM
4. In order to combat spam try to open self-moderated threads (you can delete any message in such thread), and lock threads after receiving the answers you need, or lock threads after the discussion is over, and most posters start repeat previous posts.
Self moderated threads is a feature that really should be encouraged in our midst(though not by compulsion as some other users have suggested in the past), I do not think it should be a problem doing the job of a moderator on your thread, keeping it clean in the process and grooming valuable replies, for example, this very thread is self moderated, if I didn't have anything whatsoever to say in this thread, I wouldn't post here because it would be removed by the OP.

I think why some users do not use this option is that they run away and never come back to the thread after its made(to them the thread has accomplished it's intended purpose already) or they intentionally made the thread to open the flow of shitposts, so why moderate it.
5553  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you want to make money, social media Bounty is not the way! (I guess) on: November 03, 2019, 04:17:12 PM
We can't blame them tho, all of us here are aiming to earn something and make a living even out of the most risky thing that's why people are keep on risking and trying to join bounties with the hope of earning. Again and again, always take vigilance with you and always take cautions.
I definitely am not on the forum or on a bounty to earn a living and I doubt anyone else should, how can you entrust your living into something that's so volatile, something that can end at anytime, that's stupid. I'm a student, I put out my skills as well as work per time in real life and I earn very much from there, there are also efforts I put in, to earn out here in real life.

I enjoy posting on the forum, so why not add it as an extra source of income(thats how it should be), there have been so many times I've not been on a bounty, if I made an entire living solely here, how would I survive then.
5554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 03, 2019, 01:38:44 PM
Juventus won against Torina thanks to De Ligt's goal in the 70th minute and Juventus perfectly took 3 points and remained in first place even though Intermilan won too, Next Sunday Juve will face AC Milan for me it is an easy opponent because Milan is currently worse .
Am I only the only one noticing that juve aren't their dominant self this season and that it'll only be a matter of time before inter Milan make it to the summit of the table and stay there, juve could easily have drawn yesterday, but they know how to dig deep and get a win and they did it yet again, honestly I'm not impressed with how sarri has been performing with juve this season.

On another news I'm so happy with Lukaku their season, he is absolutely delivering and justifying the amount conte and inter spent on him, he's looking like he'll finish as the league's top scorer, for now i think only immobile tops him on the scorers chat
5555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto-Trading Books Everybody Should Read Before Starting Trade on: November 03, 2019, 10:14:10 AM
Why we should spend a time by reading books when we have trading signals from professionals?
Anyone claiming to give you trading signals on the basis of them being some professional is probably a scammer, this scammers go to the extent of selling this signals as well as opening groups that people subscribe to, this is a terrible advice and I'll advice users to ignore it, no one can trade better than you if you put efforts into developing yourself.

Do not buy trading signals and do not give people your coins to trade for you.
5556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CRYPTO DOUBLERS SCAM !!! on: November 03, 2019, 09:31:10 AM
Bitcoin doublers/fiat doublers etc, anything that has to do with someone claiming to double your income/coins in a short space of time, is a scam, I see so many of them on facebook this days(cryotocurrency groups), they are claiming the can double bitcoin and show people how to earn X amount of bitcoins in Z amount of time(you need to see the crazy amount they are proposing one can earn), all this are scam attempts and whats baffling is people still fall for it, comment on their posts and inbox them.

If one isn't greedy, then the best way to double your bitcoin is to buy bitcoin when price is low, as well as a hardware wallet, store the bitcoins there and forget about it, and hope there is a positive increase.
5557  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which categories do you follow most? on: November 03, 2019, 09:12:33 AM
I post a lot in meta, so I would be correct if I said its my favorite section, it's that because you hardly find shitposts in here, except when a new forum policy is implemented, like the new merit requirements, then for a few weeks we could have newbies whining about everything, other than that, meta is a great board for good discussions.

I also frequent bitcoin discussion and beginners and help board, my love for sports wouldn't allow me stay away from soccer threads in the gambling section, I love all the aforementioned sections, the forum is indeed a great place to air ones views.
5558  Other / Meta / Re: Altcoin Discussion section needs some adjustment on: November 03, 2019, 08:47:22 AM
1. Enable self-moderation for all topics there- by default (With a notification of the rules and probable punishment.).
Most of the threads itself are shitposts, why enable self-moderation on them, when they should be outrightly deleted.(those shitposters know the rules, they just choose to ignore/break it).

I could help with a suggestion though, I do post in the altcoin discussion(few times though), and it's obvious the good posters abhor that board, but I think they should not, I might be correct to even say many of them have set ignore option on that board, don't you think if good posters make more thread in that section it could help, come to think of it, if there are sensible, good threads and replies on most of the front page of that section, then the effect of the shitposters wouldn't be so glaring.(remember that almost every section in the forum gets shitposts from users now and then, but the AD is run by the shitposters and their posts, this suggestion could help to balance the equilibrium).
5559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 02, 2019, 12:04:37 PM
but the odds payout on Manchester City to win the match in full time is terribly low, I guess maybe it is a better option to bet on the over/under number of goals to be score in this match, over 2.5 goals at the end of the match seems like a good betting option.
That's how it is most, if not all of the time when city come up against a smaller team in the division, it's even lower this week as they are playing against the Saints who are in terrible form of late, and also city Just beat them four days ago, the bookies sure know the Saints have close to 0 chance of pulling up an upset in this game.

I went with city to score first twenty minutes in this game, the odds makes more sense in my opinion, over 2.5 would also give a low odd also as there is almost 100% chance that 3 goals would be scored in this game.
5560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting scammed on: November 02, 2019, 08:46:39 AM
If you have any issues with a bounty campaign, the best place to post it would be in scam accusation board, there you can lay out your claims, call out the bounty manager, and the community would decide if the bounty manager should be tagged or flagged, but note that's the best that can be done.
filling up 2 kyc forms
Wow, you really need to be careful how you give out your private information, you lose personal informations, gets some shitty coins or no coin at all, just like your case, should like a lose lose situation for me.
