5541  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 19, 2015, 04:35:27 PM
1 BTC: 250$ right now. 20 years later? Much more.
Gold price might fluctuate but it might never reach the level btc will in a matter of 8/10 years.

We can't be certain. But there is a 100% chance that gold will be having some value in 2035 (i.e. after 20 years from now). The same can't be said about Bitcoin, with 100% surety. There is a chance that Bitcoin can become worthless by then. There are a lot of scenarios in which Bitcoin can become worthless, such as the discovery of a better alternative.

Of course that people will still invest in gold no matter what because gold is still good on market and I think there are many people that investing in gold rather than bitcoin 20 years later. I dont think gold will be gone in this entire world for a hundred years later  Grin
5542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you use your paper wallets for? on: June 19, 2015, 04:18:46 PM
you can do whatever you want with your paper wallet. it is the same as any other bitcoin wallet with an address and a private key. but whenever you use your private key you risk your address.

It can't do much, just can store bitcoin just as simple as that. The difference with bitcoin wallet is that bitcoin wallet is online and it has a higher risk to get hacked but paper wallet you store it without having a risk at all. So if you got more bitcoin to store this paper wallet is the best. And it will hold your bitcoin so you wont spend it randomly for gambling  Grin
5543  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: June 19, 2015, 03:59:56 PM
Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

3 bitcoins is a good deal. Have 1 for emergencies, 1 for luxuries and 1 for financial security.

Are you for real? You need to aim more at least 10 or 20 bitcoin before your retired. Live is hard and you need a lot to convert in fiat too

It will be great if the price of 1 btc is 10000 USD, and I don't know when it will be happened. Or do you plan to retire at 2200?  Grin  I think we can't predict how many bitcoins for retire, it depends the price whether it go up or down. We must make sure the bitcoin price be stable, then you know how much do you need.

Are you sure that its price will hit $10,000? It is really hard to hit on $2,000 and for one thing if later bitcoin will be stable so do your profit too, you wont get much from it too because the more volatile its price the more profit we will get it

Depends on how much money you need to have saved to live off of for the rest of your life.
If you want to live in some poor third world country you would need considerably less then if you wanted to retire in London.

If you are talking about money here. People are never satisfied what they have. They will earn it with no limit so of course you will need much more money to live in this world
5544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2015, 03:34:54 PM
the best way is to invest on good altcoins as to sell btc on high and buy more when they lower.... altcoins are getting a good investment on them over 100btc trades as 300 btc on them soo must be online and get in and out in small positions.... this can be done easy on 3 hours with proof

But don't you think that altcoins are too risky to invest in? As I have never used altcoins neither have invested in it have only heard that it is more volatile then bitcoins and there are chances that you may go through the losses in future.
yes, investing in altcoin market has high risks. but remember with high risks comes great rewards. go check out some of the altcoin's price charts and see for yourself that how much profit and opportunity is available in that market.
i am not saying that it is easy and whoever enters will be rich. all i am saying is that it is possible to earn a good profit from altcoin trading with some work and research.

don't invest in altcoin trading, invest in altcoin mining a bit, like 1-two graphic card, and aim at coins that are fresh new, just launched, repeat it endless, the only downside is that it require much time, but it is profitable

Yes it is profitable investing on altcoin mining and it is a good thing but to aim a fresh new altcoin to sell your new altcoin is really hard, if you miss the price will down drastically, you need to a lot of time and you need to online to check it everyday. The point is how are this is going to work if someone didnt have any time to check it everyday?
5545  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: June 19, 2015, 03:30:25 PM
and signing message will not cut it, because some of those were not carrying any address in their profile

A message posted in their profile is useless as there's no logs of them and anyone can change it on a whim. They need to be on an unedited post on the forum from a long time ago so people can prove they account belongs to them without a doubt.

You're right. That's what this thread is for - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

I guess there's still the risk of the person quoting it being an alt but it's better than nothing.
so it should be careful in buying bitcointalk account, so as not to get account the results of the hack

usually hacked account will be reported on meta section by the owner and get neg-trust ( from other members ), so the first thing you have to know is don't make a deal with newbie account and neg-trust ( except using escrow while transaction )... Smiley
So how do I know if the account is not the result of "hack"? due account hack results usually go round the old accounts that are inactive, and the owner does not know that his account has been taken of people

Thats why using escrow on dealing things is a must. You can ask your escrow to help you on check it whether it is hacked account or not because if you simply ask seller they would not even tell you. May be you can check it through meta. Its on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

I believe I make 300000 sat or so with faucets...
it's just for the fun.

That is an interesting amount, what is your time investment on the usual?

I do not know exactly...
i'm almost all the day at my computer.
i have my favorite  few faucets under my eyes on my sites...
When I have a moment (during whatching TV often) i can claim faucets from my own rotators.
But I cannot say exactly because I have also referrals...
300000 is an estimation in average.

Always faucet is really wasting your time, if you have time you can do signature campaign and it will pay you a lot. How much time did you take to get 300,000 sat? Compared it to signature campaign you will know the result

As found on the internet...

Gold price might fluctuate but it might never reach the level btc will in a matter of 8/10 years.

Yes bitcoin will go higher may around $300 or $400 or may be higher but it is just for a moment because its volatility, but with gold price is as stable as USD and in every year its price is increasing I dont think bitcoin can be stable as gold and USD. And yes to gold price never reach bitcoin level but its safer than bitcoin if I can say so I will choose gold than bitcoin
5548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: June 19, 2015, 02:02:07 PM
Martingale does not work in the long-run.
No matter what initial capital you have and what bet size you set, to double your initial capital you always have to play such amount of games that your chance for loosing everything = 1.

example:
50% chances for win/loose
You decide to bet 5 satoshi and you have capital that lets you loose 20x in a row (5242560 satoshi)

Statisticaly you will loose every 1048576 games and you have to play 1048512 games to double your initial capital.

My record was loosing 21 times in a row, that is nothing special when you play hundreds thounsands games
Tongue

Martingale sure is not a long-term, it always depends on your luck too, although that you set to 90% doesnt mean that every 10 roll you will loss 1 times, you can loss 10 times or even more continously so its better to get more capital and play save, not to be greedy so you wont loss all of your money. Btw I did lose on 55 streaks that is my best record  Grin
5549  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: June 18, 2015, 05:00:16 PM
It would never go to zero price but if its not earning us profit out of it then its price is as equal to zero it would not serve the purpose. As the bitcoin users we want stability in the price of bitcoin and if there is stability then more and more people would start adopting bitcoin as a currency.

There sure is purpose of bitcoin no matter what, you still can gambling it to try your luck too and still get more bitcoin to sell so you will still get some profit with bitcoin. And if there is a stability in bitcoin price you wont make good profit through it because of its volatile that we can get more profit. Same as USD stability, you wont make some profit with that stable currency. Right?

5551  Economy / Economics / Re: What Will it Take For BTC to Reach $1000? on: June 18, 2015, 03:40:23 PM
For me,
just collect bitcoin as many as you can. Smiley

That is true but just holding bitcoin will not serve a purpose unless there is adoption from the people at higher level or else bitcoin would be just on paper and would disappear or get replaced by any other new crypto currency So its better that people start accepting it as a currency.

The purpose of holding bitcoin is people have faith that bitcoin price will go higher and the mass adoption from people will help the price going to the moon too and fyi there is no any single crypto can replace bitcoin and it will never be changed

uh, so what if the bitcoin dropped to zero.
would you still want to collect many as you can then? I wouldnt think so, price is obviously what you need to factor.

Bitcoin price will never dropped to zero because there are people still use it anyway and for many people they will make some fence to hold it so it wont go down to zero price
5552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2015, 03:26:55 PM
Not only your savings but as much of your spending money as you can.

Don't just hodl. Spend.

Learn the many places you can use bitcoins in your every day life and get off of the dollar. The sooner you can do that, the sooner you will be free.

But actually you need some of savings too in case something bad happen to bitcoin. You need some fiat too for emergencies

Good luck dude in my advice you should move your investment from stocks into BTCitcoin as long term like you are saying you will hold it for 5 years, in my opinion the price will dramatically get increase and it can go up to more than $5000 at this time as financial indicator showing the positive signs about it's future.

What is that price? $5000 in the next 5 years? Although the price is higher for now doesnt mean that it will be going untill $5000 for each bitcoin. That wont make any sense
5553  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: June 18, 2015, 01:11:00 PM
I think per week nobody can earn even ones bit coin nobody can tell by campaigns system we getting very much rarely per week 0.0004/5 BTC. Something is better than nothing that's way its not bad at all because if you keep eyes on BTC walls can get knowledge about many of things in this world which is we don't known campaigning is the best way even slowly you getting. For big amount only gambling way can do otherwise I can't see any best way for but gambling way very much risky always where can loose any moment and can be gain any moment too.

There is no way to get that much in a week. But what I know dadice payment rate is the best until now its around 0.0013 per post for Sr. Member and 0.0015 for Hero and Legendary member. And if you want to make 1 btc per week you can try bit-x because there are no limit of your posts just make sure you are constructive they will pay you, but you need to be staff with 0.0014 and you need to make around +- 1k constructive posts to get 1 bitcoin  Grin
5554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: June 18, 2015, 12:54:55 PM
You are wrong, in some way of dice martingale do work but you can't be greedy. At first I didnt believe martingale really work too until someday there

are people share their trick then poof it change my mind
would you mind sharing their trick that you saw with me to change my mind too. because honestly i don't see how it can be possible to win using martingale and more importantly profit from it.

I think you can try it by yourselves because there are not any single trick that will help you if you didnt try it one by one. Win a little from some site is profit too right? There are misperception of many people that a little profit is not a good thing and said that they didnt win but it is better than nothing so I suggest you to try it with some capital that you can afford and play safe using martingale
5555  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin trading strategy on: June 18, 2015, 12:47:12 PM
Of course you can ( not predict but roughly pinpoint). Most people just dont want to learn new things because they thought it is complicated but honestly it is not that complicated.

You dont need to buy at the lowest price, buy it at whatever position you want sell it higher than the position that your purchased it, voila profit ! Many people are getting the wrong concept that they must bought at the lowest point however this isnt always the case though

But it will take some time if you buy it at any price and then wait the price go higher. In my experience I bought in any price like you said but then I can't sell it in the higher price and when I choose to hold ir for a little longer the price is going down drastically. Thats why many people (including me) want to buy it at the lowest price
5556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2015, 12:37:36 PM
I've always said buying and holding would be your best bet. I think Bitcoin rose by 7% recently so there's a bit of profit there. I'm sure we'll see hundreds of percent in profit eventually if we have the patience.

i agree. i have been stashing some coins for some time now. in the past month that the price was at a somewhat stable stage i tried to but at the bottoms and hold. i think the future price of bitcoin is looking good especially after the recent rise.

i would love to see bitcoin stable at 500 usd, it would actually save up more btc, i think the community deserves a 500 usd per btc.
why 500? can you explain why you chose this number

if it is just about price stability, i am right there with you. i would love to see an stable price someday that doesn't change a lot. and i don't care that much about what price it is, even if it stays at $200 forever i am happy as long as it is stable.

This is just speculation, dont to believe it if you think that this number is not good enough. Sometimes people will think that the price will going to the moon but the reality is the price will drop so it depends on you what you want to do with your bitcoin. Sell it or hold it, it is your choice to make
5557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: June 18, 2015, 12:30:22 PM
not yet but planning on one investment site

What is that invesment are you planning to get? If you want to do some investment with based on ponzi I would not recommend it because at last you will lose all of your money better you get signature campaign, most of them are get bitcoin from signature campaing and that is a good way to earn some of your bitcoin
5558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: June 18, 2015, 12:24:30 PM
bitcoin has a bad reputation in my country because the government almost forbid it. Sure they are not really forbid it, just forbid it as a currency. but for many Chinese people, they just thought government has forbidden it.

It's bad, but atleast you still could get access to bitcoin website and using bitcoin to other usage like do gambling or for your investment. Hope the government can't disturb bitcoin again, since bitcoin never give bad massive effect to economy system of the country.

Bitcoin affected the economy and have a great impact on it and government must see this as a threat to them thats why they block bitcoin in some countries. If they can't control it they will banned it that is how they do things
5559  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 18, 2015, 12:16:41 PM
well investments has a high risk the same way that banks can become dangerouns in the short time.

Investments and banking system is diffrent thing although both of them are sure got risk but the payout of investment is higher than saving your money in the bank

All of methods that you can grow your money has a risk, you must focus on what is the best way to earn in a short of time.

You can't focus on earning in short time if that is not ponzi. Ponzi is the one investment that can earn you good bucks in a short time but their risk is the highest one. Dont try to do it if you are not ready to lose your money
