Sorry about that.
5542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Want to make an alt coin that actually changes something? on: April 03, 2013, 11:09:40 AM
If you have decent knowledge of the bitcoind codebase and would be interested in working on a alt coin that has some interesting changes, send me a PM.

EDIT: Please only PM if you have a decent knowledge of the Bitcoin code base!

I think you are living in this "fantasy world" here.

Generally, people don't lend $2k+ to strangers without collateral or reputation.
5544  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: April 03, 2013, 09:50:47 AM
That's great, don't support a borderline scam and unethical exchange Smiley
5545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW CURRENCY] Maria 2.0 was banned, here is her proof. The birth of Bytecoin! on: April 03, 2013, 09:44:39 AM
This is probably unrelated, but it is worth being extra cautious: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=165497.0  I always build altcoins from source after auditing the diffs from bitcoin.
There wasn't much difference in the source code with ByteCoin. I don't think it's related through, I've analyzed it and it doesn't try to access Bitcoin's wallet.dat.

5546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinjedi / betsofbitco.in SCAMMERS: Declares "Push" on obvious win for BFL bet on: April 03, 2013, 09:35:35 AM
-1.

Call it a poor decision on BoB's part if you like. But unless you have some sort of proof of their collusion with Josh and Luke, it's not a scam. Nor is it stealing. Unless you are a serious gambling addict.

Yep. BoB gets less money from a draw than a win or lose.
Unless Inaba bet some coins, or CoinJedi bet some coins.

Oh look, the 300 XRP tax working.
5548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC not recieved after 12 hours on: April 03, 2013, 09:14:30 AM
I transfered 0.5 btc so i could buy ltc... it has now risen 1 usd in a few hours..

Im looking money with this transfer time... Didnt expect btc transfers to be this slow! It looses the entire point of open and fast transfers.. it would be faster sending from my Danish bank..

This is precisely why you should buy Litecoin. Hopefully the price won't be too bad when your BTC deposit is finally completed. Good luck!
The exact same thing is going to happen when litecoin gets more popular.

YOU NEED TO PAY FEES

I never make 0 fee transactions anymore.

I'd also like to see a video of Mosper shouting at a bank for denying a loan request with no credit.
5551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: You are a *fucking dumbass* if you use Instawallets, PERIOD. on: April 03, 2013, 09:00:52 AM
edit:  BTW, what exchange do you use where you retain control of your funds if you don't mind my asking?

I use(d) Bitcoin Central (right now only to buy). I had exactly 0€ on my account and less than 4 BTC when they closed. All other BTC are in a offline wallet.

Funny thing is that the OP is pumping lots of things all of which, I will bet, have accounts where a user is supposed to send Bitcoin to but not have exclusive ownership of the private key controlling their funds.

There's a difference between using a service to store bitcoins, and you know, depositing bitcoins for a service.
5552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW CURRENCY] Maria 2.0 was banned, here is her proof. The birth of Bytecoin! on: April 03, 2013, 08:37:42 AM
Put it in your sig please.

I have analyzed the exe file, and I have not observed it look for Bitcoin wallet.dat

In addition, I've analyzed the sourcecode and found no shenanigans.
5553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying bytecoins on: April 03, 2013, 08:30:04 AM
That is precisely when you realize that 0.1 BTC / 1000 bytecoins is undervalued, and sell for higher.

Awesome Cheesy Looking forward to it. Thanks for the quick reply  Cool

Ooh.  What kind of improvements?

The obvious fix would be to allow people to deposit and play on-site, rather than using the blockchain for every bet.  But then how would we track site profits?
Here (see #4): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101902.msg1700294#msg1700294

Regarding the 'obvious fix', could publish a list of all deposit addresses, and a list of bets on the site referencing which transaction (or winnings transaction) was used.
5556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bytecoin Vs bitcoin on: April 03, 2013, 07:15:39 AM
I just read that someone lost Bitcoins after he installed the Bytecoin client because it contained a trojan
I haven't observed it look for any bitcoin wallet.dat files.
5557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW CURRENCY] Maria 2.0 was banned, here is her proof. The birth of Bytecoin! on: April 03, 2013, 06:26:29 AM
Well, strictly speaking nothing makes it interesting, as it is a straightforward clone of bitcoin with zero improvements or additions.

One interesting point could be testing bitcoin stability when too many hashpower appears to mine at low difficulty. (Could happen when asics really arrives.)
It doesn't really mean anything, because the biggest deployment so far is going to be ASICMINER's 200TH next next deployment, which will increase the network hashrate by less than 4x (which is the current cap on diff adjustment)
5558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC + scrypt fork, pool list on: April 03, 2013, 06:22:45 AM
Selected bnProofOfStakeLimit value seems to be too high for NVC network, it can't generate PoS blocks at this difficulty. My bad. Sad

Will fix it in the next update, which will be released soon.

RAK3
I recommed you to mine in p2pool. Smiley

Ah, what do we have here.. a developer that doesn't even know what he's working on and has screwed up four times now?
5559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW CURRENCY] Maria 2.0 was banned, here is her proof. The birth of Bytecoin! on: April 03, 2013, 06:22:10 AM
Very interesting altcoin, watching.

Well, strictly speaking nothing makes it interesting, as it is a straightforward clone of bitcoin with zero improvements or additions.

A huge difference is the block reward. You get 50 BTE vs 25 BTC
I think you're stupid.

Bitcoin started with a block reward of 50 BTC.

plus, the block reward does not matter, 500 BTE would mean each BTE is only worth 1/10 as much.

No need to be so rude. I mean for my 18 yr old son who just hear about mining, realizes its almost impossible for him. He has a Gaming alienware laptop, bytecoin.
There is a need when someone is commenting when they don't even know basic economics.

Right now the difficulty is artificially low due to the 4x diff increase cap, but the block reward doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is the curve, and how much total coins will be mined.

I can make a coin where the block reward is 50 million multicoins, with a total money supply of 50 trillion. Would your 18 year old son mine that?
