5541  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex Announcement - Canceling All U.S. accounts. on: August 13, 2017, 02:18:44 PM
Great! At least now, we can be sure that there will be no American FBI seizure of the Bitfinex servers. BTC-e also should have done this, but they were very complacent and thought that the FBI would never catch them. Remember the seizure of Alphabay? When they were only catering to the users from the former USSR, they didn't had any issues. But when they started accepting customers from the United States, the site was seized by the FBI.
5542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin looks like? on: August 13, 2017, 02:16:27 PM
I would like to disagree with all the replies posted here. In my opinion, Bitcoin is a digital asset and therefore it doesn't have a fixed size or shape. The logo of Bitcoin is not like what it looks like. For example, the symbol of the United States Dollar is "$". But that is not how it looks like. Do you want to know how the US Dollar looks like? Here you go:

5543  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4k on: August 13, 2017, 02:11:54 PM
Media is reporting that all this is due to demand from Japan. The trade in JPY is currently 46% of all the Bitcoin trade volume, compared to 25% for the United States Dollar and 12% for the Chinese Yuan. Just imagine what could happen, if China legalizes Bitcoin. The volumes in CNY could even overtake that with the Japanese Yen.
5544  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: August 13, 2017, 02:09:20 PM
I agree that today her Christians are very much eager to fight and are fighting even in foreign countries. But nonetheless Muslims do very bad things, and in these acts of terrorism there are a lot of peaceful people.

Islamic terrorism is something unique to that religion. No other religion has equivalents. If you study the holy books belonging to all the major world religions, you will understand why there are so many terrorists who are Muslims. Islam is an ideology which encourages violent acts and genocide against the infidels (or the non-believers).

As already mentioned, healthcare is a strict necessity that can not go. Furthermore, the spending on health care are only so atrociously high because pharma and insurance companies make up arbitrarily high prices that do not even remotely reflect their costs. It's an outright scam that nobody cares to do anything about, all while voting for some redundant party or presidential candidate that won't do jackshit about any of the underlying core issues.

The healthcare costs in the United States is vastly inflated. Everything is ultra-expensive, including doctor's consultation, surgery, pharmaceutical products.etc. A surgery which costs $100,000 in the United States costs less than $5,000 in Thailand or Singapore. Similarly, prescription medicine, which costs $100 in the US is available for just $5 in Mexico.
5546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: August 13, 2017, 02:03:23 PM
You need even more evidence? Every year, the Arctic ice sheets are getting thinner. A lot many of the Antarctic ice sheets are breaking up and disintegrating. Many of the cities and rural areas are reporting record maximum temperatures, and countries such as Brazil are suffering from severe drought. And worse still, many of the island nations (such as the Maldives) are disappearing as a result of rising sea levels.
5547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: August 13, 2017, 02:00:33 PM
In the US, we're guaranteed the right to bear arms. Not because it's fun, or cool, but because it's a deterrent from government overstepping its bounds.

When only the govt has guns (military or police), you're screwed.

For how long that right will remain with you? With every passing year, the anti-guns lobby is getting stronger and stronger. It is just a matter of time before stricter restrictions (such as those in countries such as Australia and the United Kingdom) are implemented in the United States. If a Democrat candidate is elected in 2020, then that could be a turning point.
5548  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Imran Khan or Nawaz Shareef? on: August 13, 2017, 01:58:32 PM
I used to support Imran Khan, but no more. I thought that he was a good guy, who is willing to stand against corruption and Islamic radicalism. But a few of the recent events have proved that he is as bad as the other establishment politicians. And worse still, he is currently embroiled in a sex scandal. He is accused of harassing Ayesha Gulalai.
5549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Europe, you reap what you sow... on: August 13, 2017, 01:55:42 PM
^^^ At first, I though that this was a joke! A NGO transporting economic immigrants from the Sub-Saharan Africa without any passports or visa? These people are really sick. And remember that all this comes at a time when regular immigrants have to pass multiple language tests and wait for many years in the queue before getting a chance to immigrate to the EU.
5550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: August 12, 2017, 03:35:42 AM
The third world has a birth rate which is too high but, the world population today isn't too high that's a myth we could feed ourselves in a continent as big as America alone

Dude, it is not a myth. The world is not capable of sustaining a human population as high as 7.5 billion. And by 2100, the world population is expected to reach 12 billion, with 40% of that number living in the continent of Africa alone. It negatively impacts the diversity among the humans as well. All the other races, with the exception of Africans are declining.
5551  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: July 25, 2017, 08:02:38 PM
The population will hit a point where it will start down-trending. There will be an event that would cause that I believe. Expansion cannot continue forever.

It is already happening. Almost half of the world's population is living in countries such as China and the United States, where the fertility rate is less than that required for replacement (2.16 children per woman is needed for population replacement). But the problem is that, the remaining half is living in regions such as Africa and South Asia, where the fertility rate is very high.
5552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash (BCC) is an Alt-coin trying to profit off the Bitcoin Brand on: July 25, 2017, 07:55:25 PM
How many chances of Forking? Any rough idea if we want to know the %? Thanks.

The chances of forking are 100%. You shouldn't give it much attention though, It's going to be dumped in a matter of seconds as every BTC holder will have BCC as well and almost everyone here is with SegWit, no one is going to use that BCC.

I have a feeling that we are over-estimating the support for SegWit. The BCC is supported by some of the big names, and they have the capability to swing at least some of the miners to their side. So I wouldn't confirm on overwhelming support for SegWit, before I see it for real on August 1. So all I am saying is that, don't put so much trust on the "intentions".
5553  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 25, 2017, 07:49:46 PM
How do you know that the owners were Russian citizens in 2011?

The owners of BTC-e are Alexei and Alexander, who previously worked in ZhK Skolkovo Park, Moscow. Until 2013, some information was available on their identities, but all of that disappeared suddenly that year. We don't even know their surnames. I am also not sure whether they are Russian citizens or not, but since they have worked in the Skolkovo Park, I assume they have / had Russian passports.
5554  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine - a victim of immorality West against Russia on: July 25, 2017, 07:21:15 PM
^^^ With the Ukrainians getting visa-free travel to the European Union, there is not going to be any shortage of Ukrainian prostitutes in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Ukraine is very much broke now. Perhaps the export of (male and female) sex workers can bring enough revenues, to keep the country together for a while.
5555  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Little Russia on: July 25, 2017, 07:18:41 PM
we knew already that Ukraine will join Russia..
Who are we? , Ukraine will never join Russia. After the Russian attack on Ukraine it will be associated with the enemy. And this will only increase with the change of generations. This will lead to the disintegration of Russia, and then her Imperial ambitions will come down to zero.

If there will come new pro-Russian government they will start new PROPAGANDA machine and all those pro-national Ukrainians will begin to think about themselves as about new Russians again and see the west as old evil. Typical third-world autocratic society - new Boss new rules

It is very unlikely that a pro-Russian government will rule Ukraine ever again. The most pro-Russian provinces have broken away from the Kiev-rule. Crimea is a part of Russia now, while Donetsk and Lugansk are independent republics. Without the votes from these regions, a pro-Russian party can never come to power in Kiev.

“We were just playing around Your Worship. I did not think that he would take it seriously,” said Ncube.

Poor girls. I have to say that the cops who arrested these three innocent girls must be fired from their jobs. Can't you see? They were just playing around without harming anyone.

“I wanted him to see that he was not special and was not immune to sexual arousal. When I touched him, he immediately got aroused. And that is all we wanted to see,” she said.

Only if these innocent girls knew how much arousal does the bishops and the deacons get from the very sight of the choirboys, they would have never tried anything like this.
5557  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS is nothing compared to U.S. cops. on: July 25, 2017, 07:10:09 PM
Isn't i funny that the ones who were sworn to protect the people are the very ones who end up killing them, and it seems that they are always getting away with it which is not very good. But their crimes cannot be compared to what ISIS is doing. But there must be some serious inquiry about how the police force is killing civilians without anything concrete being done to stop it.

In 90% of the cases, the civilians are at the fault. Take the case of Trayvon Martin for example. The guy was clad in a hoodie, and he first attacked George Zimmerman of the neighborhood watch which resulted in him getting shot. Another example is the shooting of Tamir Rice. He was aiming at people with his toy gun, which closely resembled a real weapon. The cops didn't had enough time to check whether his gun was a toy or not.
5558  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: July 25, 2017, 07:03:29 PM
The government really dont care about the effects on the people, they are just concerned about the money they will make, If the entire USA eventually accepts the so called use of marijuana, its going to be catastrophic  for the entire country.

The pharma and drug cartels have managed to convince the people that marijuana is something evil. That is not the case. It is even less harmful than legal substances such as alcohol and tobacco. So there is no point in banning it.

I agree with you there dude. Its been well proven that alcohol and nicotine have much more negative effect on someone's health than weed. And further studies also indicate that weed is a magic drug that can be used to cure certain illnesses including cancer. Though excessive use of it may not be good, that goes for pretty much everything that is easily accessible to people.

I am not sure whether marijuana has any medicinal effect, other than its use as a painkiller. But the painkiller market is a huge one, and the current bunch of synthetic (mainly opioid derived) painkillers do have much more dangerous side-effects when compared to marijuana. If marijuana is legalized, then the pharma cartels will lose a huge chunk of their revenue.

Ukraine is an uneasy alliance of the Russian-speaking Eastern Ukraine and the Polish-influenced western Ukraine. The culture, language, religion.etc is different in these two parts. Sooner or later, the nation is going to breakup in to two different entities. Look at what happened to the former Yugoslavia. The same will happen with Ukraine as well.
5560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 54yo woman attacked by somali migrant for walking her dogs on: July 25, 2017, 06:15:24 PM
If that was true then I think it failed since many Christians stayed behind and Europe mostly got Muslims.

Around 10% to 15% of the Syrian population is Christian. They have remained fiercely loyal to Bashar al Assad. And regarding the Syrian refugees to the western nations, at least 99.8% of them are Muslims. Christians are less than 0.1%.

Seen a video of Christians rebuilding their church. I believe this was in Iraq. These people, despite being prime targets like the Yazidis, have managed to find a way to survive while staying in the country. Meanwhile the "fiercer" Muslims fled to Europe.

Somehow, it reminds me of the way migrants swamped Rome from the east and north. Originally they were fleeing war and famine but then...

Even if the Christians and the Yazidis want to flee, they can't do that. Because almost all the refugee camps are under the control of Sunni Muslims. They don't allow those belonging to the other religions or sects to enroll as refugees. Even Shiite Muslims are not allowed to register as refugees in these camps. That is the reason why almost 100% of these immigrants landing in the EU are Sunni Muslim.
