5541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance to Sue the Block and raises 200 bitcoins to fight fud. on: November 23, 2019, 01:18:32 PM
Nah, I don't think that Binance should go on this route. CZ already know the state of crypto journalism and I don't think that it will improved in the next coming years.

CZ already proved his point here and I'm sure crypto enthusiast what really happened in the last two days or so. This is a losing cause, just saying.
5542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: November 23, 2019, 12:59:14 PM
It looks like Manny Pacquaio will open up the games:

Quote
Pacquiao to have role in SEA Games opening ceremony, says Cayetano

MANILA, Philippines—Manny Pacquiao, one of the most notable Filipino athletes in the world, is expected to take part in the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games slated on Nov. 30 at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

https://sports.inquirer.net/373326/pacquiao-to-have-role-in-sea-games-opening-ceremony-says-cayetano

I guess I have to agree that Pacquiao put the Philippines in the map again because of his boxing exploits up to this day. So it's just fitting that he will be given the honours by the Philippine government in this coming SEA games. I'm assuming he will lit the flames to officially start the games.
5543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: QEXB token on: November 23, 2019, 12:14:30 PM
There is a token on the waves platform called QEXB that the company promises to make a profit for the bearers. I'm thinking of buying this token, but first I want to know if anyone here has already bought this token?

Well, obviously this is just a sales pitch from the project. They want people to buy so that the price will increase by it doesn't mean that you can make a huge profit if that is what you thinking here.

I haven't heard this token, but if I'm in your shoes, I would stay away though, seems to me another shitcoin unless proven otherwise, sorry to burst the bubble for you.

Final Weigh-in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc71OHR1DW4

"Grandpa" Ortiz looks fit came in light as compare to their first fight, while Wilder the same as ever, and relax. I agree that this fight won't last that long, maybe below 10 rounds for Wilder.
5545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with a controlled mindset on: November 23, 2019, 11:32:03 AM
I agree that gambling should be fun, but for those who are addicted, it's really hard to control their mindset, although I would admit that I have been an addicted gambler myself, but it didn't crossed my mind to take my life because I lost everything.

I also witnessed crazy stories, friends and some gamblers I know committing suicide. But on the contrary, I know someone, a friend of my father who really live his life through gambling put all his children on good school, so it cut both ways, just saying.
5546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Digital Currency Will Allow Consumers ‘Controllable Anonymity’ on: November 23, 2019, 11:10:54 AM
In the years that I've been in this crypto, I would say that do not 'trust' any news coming from China. Just look at what the whole Binance fiasco, fake news, FUD did to the market in the last two days or so.

Controllable + Anonymity does go in one sentence. They just confusing the Chinese market here, but we all know that their government is against any form of yielding to their population and this is just one example.
5547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about LocalCoin exchange? on: November 22, 2019, 01:00:56 PM
I think you should know that there's no such thing as 'secure' here in crypto sphere. Sooner or later those cyber criminals will fight an exploit.

Anyways, I can't give you an honest opinion because I haven't trade on that platform, but maybe you can follow their ANN thread here, 🧿[ANN]✅LocalCoin.is-Decentralized P2P & OTC EXCHANGE TRADING PLATFORM✅. Maybe you can direct your queries there.

Host country usually gives a good show so I'm expecting the Philippines here to at least land first or second in the medal standing. And then we have countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia not far behind.

It will be interesting to see crypto related sports betting sites for the SEA games. Specially in sports like boxing and basketball. Here are the venues;

5549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 22, 2019, 11:24:47 AM
This is a bit of an old news but I'm surprised no one has talked about Pau Gasol being waived by the Blazers. The reason was that he's recovery from surgery seems to be longer than expected. They are currently looking at a possibility of giving him a coaching role instead while recovering in Portland.

It's probably a good call by the team and for Pau to retire. He's already accomplished a lot when he was a Laker.

I agree mate, I think Pau needs to retire at this point. Good if Portland will give him a job managing the team.

Remember when he was a Laker, people said that he really help Kobe preserved his legacy. Pau was the biggest factor in their win against the Boston and proved that he is not soft.
5550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal CEO Is a HODLr, but Only Owns Bitcoin on: November 22, 2019, 08:09:44 AM
This is in contrast of former PayPal CEO Bill Harris statement, Bitcoin is ‘useless as a payment mechanism and ridiculous as a store of value,’ ex-PayPal CEO says.

So it's good that Paypal's CEO of today really "believed" in BTC, so we don't know maybe we can see Paypal readily accepts it as payment options in the future. Maybe this was a sign, of pitching bitcoin specially that the CEO itself knows that bitcoin is the future.
5551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Heck Around Dx pump, Why You Should Hodl DX. on: November 21, 2019, 08:03:12 AM
This is an 8th topic from you about DX token in this month. I didn't even count the other months, but this is just annoying repetitive shit posting now. Maybe tune thi shilling down because it's starting to feel a lot like you are hijacking this forum with your advertisement spam, and that's against the forum rules.

Lol, I like his disclaimer though, but obviously he is shilling for this token.  Smiley

I quickly glance at the price, it's all time high is just like 10 days ago and after that the price seems to be going on a downward spiral. So what does it says, probably some pump-and-dump groups are pushing the price higher, but then we all know what going to happen. It is still 50% after that massive pump and it seems the OP wanted to pump it more. But I doubt that smart investors will fall for this kind of trap.
5552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 21, 2019, 07:43:56 AM

Miami Heat, 75 points at halftime. The projection for their final score maybe 140+. It's one of the highest record scores for the franchise prior to halftime. Just a 15 point short to the Houston Rockers who established 90 points in the first half during 2017.

Next to this tonight is the Dallas Mavericks scored 74 points in the half time and they end up with 142 points int he full game.
Heat had a high scoring first half but ended only 124 points, way below your prediction.

IN this game, I like the Mavericks and Doncic again... another triple double for him. 35 points 11 assist and 10 rebounds, and playing only 25 minutes.

How was that?

Dallas Mavericks destroys a hapless GSW 142-94, that's 48 point lost and I think this is one of the worst franchise lost for Golden State. As usual, Doncic put up a spectacular show here 33 point just in the first half.

The East has the history of playing good defense in the NBA, with teams such as New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Bulls and Indiana Pacers. But it looks like time has change, three points and no or pretty decent defense that's why we have high scoring games today. But I'm sure as we gets closer to the playoffs, defense will be the key to win games.
5553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: {Warning}: Official Monero site gets hacked Binaries gets compromised on: November 21, 2019, 02:32:43 AM
Someone already reported that he had lost $7k already, don't be the next statistics, stay safe.

May sound rude, but .. it is his own fault.

How can someone download binaries from a website and run them without verifying the signature of the file ?
And then continuing to store 7k $ on it.. That's just dumb.

People are told to verify signatures all the time. Spend 1 hour on this forum and you already read multiple posts telling how crucial it is  to verify the signature of the downloaded wallet before running it.

I know, but what the hell, people are still so dumb and then bitch around and blame the system because they lost so much money. But if you look closely, 90% of that cases tells us that it's the users fault.

Just like in this case, downloading binaries without verifying it. Maybe he was a newbie or didn't know how to verify, but it's his own fault and I'm sure he had learn a lesson, a very expensive lesson in cryptoverse.
5554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 21, 2019, 01:48:57 AM
I am personally very surprised to see bitcoin price movements for this month, which has decreased. I hope this will not lasted
a long time, because it would be very dangerous if until bitcoin falls back below $ 8,000. Keeping in mind the current price
bitcoin $ 8100 is the last defense. The problem is in my opinion if until bitcoin drops to a price below $ 8000 it can a sign of
a bullish trend failed to materialize. And if the $ 8000 support price barrier is successfully broken bitcoin is likely to fall again to
the price of $ 7,000, i hope this should not happen.

Sadly the price is nearing < $8k and the price continue to go down today, we are now in the bearish sentiments. Although we don't want to see it, we need to understand that it's possible to even see $6.4 in the coming months, so just prepared for the worst.

Maybe the spike from $7400-$9000 was due the China news supporting blockchain and then easing on bitcoin mining. But it was not sustainable, meaning it could be just a trap that's why the price was suddenly jump after that. And now that its over, we may go back to the $7k or even below.
5555  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: November 21, 2019, 01:25:04 AM
I think as more people enter into the cryptocurrency markets, it's likely more of such cases will be recorded. More scam platforms (exchanges, wallets) will definitely be the bane of  the cryptoworld next bull run.

Good point, if crypto market will start its bull run, more scammers will appear in the crypto space, and obviously those numbers will rise exponentially.

At least though, we should help those newbie how to practice good and safe way to protect their assets so that they will not be a victim of scammers or cyber criminals.
5556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to the Ceo of coinbase 1 BTC can actually change your life. on: November 21, 2019, 12:48:48 AM
I think this is his exact words:

Quote
For better or worse, I do think owning one whole Bitcoin will increasingly become a big deal. Only 21M will ever be produced, and some people already own much more than one.

https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong/status/1165307728740270080

Obviously, for majority of bitcoin enthusiast we really think that eventually the price will go to the moon in the next coming years. But for no-coiner, it's hard to preach that because they don't understand what HOLDing means. Owning 1 BTC is not that hard, and newbies think that they have to invest 1 BTC quick. But for me the approach is that you should invest what you can afford to lose, maybe you can buy just a portion and in no time you could be a member of 1 BTC club.
5557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 19, 2019, 06:22:01 PM
Ben Askren just announced he is retiring from MMA because of his hip issues
that requiere from him to perform hip replacement surgery!

All the best to Askren.

Bummer...  The UFC would've been better with him around (and successful)...  Imagine him trolling the likes of beasts like Khabib and Usman.  Cheesy

And the trolling on Dana as well. Grin

@SaShiRaJaVu - he faced tougher opponents in UFC and I would say that he had been exposed or it is just the injury that really forced him to retire. I guess with his BTC investments, he really know that next year will be big so rather than forcing his body to fight, he will probably sit around in the next six months and watch his BTC wallet,  Grin
5558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the Bigdogs doing with Crypto or are they still in old school markets? on: November 19, 2019, 06:06:07 PM
Can we categorically call early bitcoin bag holders as old school traders? Makes me wonder.

Is Crypto really interesting the old school crowd of traders? Or do they just do what they always did before?

I guess that is the difference with traditional investments. Crypto is still fairly young market, I wouldn't call those who have been in the market for five years as old school crowd of traders. And because of bitcoin's volatility, you can't never be called old traders because of its unpredictability. Maybe there are whales, who manipulates from behind. But they can only do it because they have tons of money to begin with.
5559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any clue why whales are pumping shit coins at DEX? on: November 19, 2019, 05:45:00 PM
It's possible about the money laundering theory, but it's hard to proved it.

As you know , if you are trading at Dex you could easily see x100 pumps . After that pump, price down to usual point. So what is that meaning?  If any whale wants to collect the tokens, there are many better ways to collect them more cheaper. Any clue ? is that money laundring?

What we all know is that there are a lot of p&d signals groups around. And they mostly breed in DEX because they know that mostly beginners are trading on DEX. So together with whales and p&d, they are going to pump a certain coin of their choice to x100 and then sold and then take the profit, easy peasy.
5560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Home Affair Minister Warns Terrorist Financiers Exploiting Crypto on: November 18, 2019, 01:33:14 PM
This is not new, but I guess what Australian wanted is to put everything into perspective again specially that Australia is a safe haven for crypto enthusiast. So it will be a cat and mouse game here, terrorist try to hide their tracks and then authorities trying to unravel them.

And we all know that with all the regulations around, sooner or later those criminals who are trying to used crypto to hide everything will be identified. All countries are cooperating which each other as far as terrorism goes so I'm sure they have been tracking all their activities whether through fiat or crypto in general.
