5561  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 30, 2019, 10:12:40 AM
I have no idea if it's true, but:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/al4qjm/cryptopia_didnt_get_hacked_again_the_hacker_stole/

TLDR: Allegedly:
"Cryptopia didnt get hacked again, the hacker "stole Cryptopia's private keys and deleted topia's copy. "Basically using Cryptopia's address as his own."

That's incredible if true. It would mean the hacker assumed that Cryptopia didn't keep proper offline back-ups. That would mean they only kept one set of private keys, with everything stored on online servers. In this day and age, that's difficult to believe.
Even before the hacked has not happened I don't trust Cryptopia exchange, a bunch of complaint regarding their exchange. Lack of customer supports staff, there's no reason they get hacked or either this case is an inside job.
What a kind of exchange they are why they don't use hardware wallet to keep their funds safe? I really doubt this is an inside job it is impossible to get hacked.

What do you think, will running a site like this be profitable ?

this is the website : https://afreething.000webhostapp.com

To tell you frankly mate your website its looks like unprofessional because of the subdomain and Potato Chips was right. Try to purchase a domain name for your website for sure maybe you can convince people and driving traffic very well, and make a profit.

Try to search on google where to purchase a domain name and spend some amount of money for a domain of your website that looks good.
5563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines' PH Resorts Group gets regulatory nod for $350 million share offerin on: January 29, 2019, 03:36:14 PM
This is another great developments in the casino's crypto and Philippines regulatory authority has done very well.  I believe that in future other governments are going to see good in this and cryptocurrencies will be used all over the world.
I think this is not a crypto casinos but its a traditional gambling. Its good for the Philippines, and it can make a lot of gamblers again. More countries are slowly showing a great support for gambling nowadays, and no doubt that Philippines is one of those countries, I will just enjoy the good ambiance of those casinos.
Yes, that is not a crypto casino, that is a traditional casino. A lot of Filipino politicians people are in a casino every weekend, I knew that because my uncle told me. But it would nice to hear if that casino is accepting cryptocurrencies to use in gambling. So that cryptocurrency and gambling casino were showing up together here in the Philippines. And probably Bitcoin too will be known as well, uh, maybe that is a start to trigger the casino to accept also cryptocurrencies, who knows.

I agree with you na madami talaga ang full out ng kanilang mga investment kaya biglang bagsak ang presyo ng bitcoin, at nakatulong pa sa pag bagsak ay my account sa binance na nag full out ng investment na napakalaking amount ng bitcoin kaya ang karamihan ng tao ay undecided kung mag iinvest sa crypto or mag stay sa real estate or GOLD.
I think that is not the main reason of dragging down the price of crypto, the real crypto enthusiast will understand what happened to the market price. Besides, some of them now keep on holding their crypto assets and patiently wait when the price bounce back again.

There's a lot of speculators in 2018, claiming that they are good at speculation. People expected that in the last quarter of the year Bitcoin will raise up but nothings happen besides their reactions are just laughing and says that is a joke. So weird isn't it?
So now, I just think that let time can tell and wait patiently, don't think too much ahead just go with the flow.
5565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't resist! I must say! When lambo? LMFAO! When END of house mortage? on: January 29, 2019, 11:04:39 AM
I agree with what you said about bitcoin been under attacked before anyone knows since this is something that have to do with the governments and I believe the OP cant endure the current market status which lead to him too fast to judge or predict the market to down trend the mentioned amount when we both know that the next halving is around the corner. With that been said, XRP is the one coin supported by the government and some strong companies in the world, so it wont die just like that. Although i dont like or hold a piece of it but it wont definitely die
Even XRP won't die but I won't hold that shit coin for me, I already cut my losses on that coins a year ago when I was known that it is regulated coin by the government. Speaking of Bitcoin, I didn't have doubt on this technology. I came here a year ago I didn't know much the history of Bitcoin but as what I had learned here Bitcoin is very profitable to hold and have the potential to earn a profit.
So, when Lambo? Let the time will tell, patiently wait to have a good profit and never do panic selling when it is very low value.

This serves as a lesson for you mate, no hurt feelings to the DT members because they did their jobs to stop and protect innocents people might be scammed on your promoting project.

5567  Other / Meta / Re: Account security improvement: e-mail confirmation to change password and mail on: January 29, 2019, 08:18:58 AM
I added email notifications for some security events:

Whenever your password is changed (except by an administrator), you will get an email about it.

Whenever your email is changed (except by an administrator), your old email will get an email about it with a link to lock your account. The link is valid for 14 days.

Let me know if you find any bugs.
Snip-
Email notification is enough for security purposes as what have theymos said as long as your email account is not hacked too, I think 2FA is not needed since there's an email to your email account were you receive if somebody changing your profile info or something your account has stolen. Together with the signed address on this forum is a solid proof to recover account once it is quoted with someone else.

I think there's nothing to change with the account security system settings, besides it is our responsibility to keep our account safe. So, it is impossible to get hack unless if you sell your account and trying to get back and claiming it is getting hacked.
5568  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com outgoing fee optimization on: January 28, 2019, 03:43:00 PM
My experience of blockchain.info wallet, which is a wallet used by me before to make transaction and even now some times because of their low fee.The wallet may not be good for the people who knows how to setup the fee but there are lot of people who may set wrong fee and end up waiting for too long so for those this wallet may be perfect and I never too waited too long while made transaction with this wallet and it is far better when compared to blockchain wallet only missing segwit.
Before that is blockchain.info but now it is blockchain.com, yes before I also used blockchain.com wallet in receiving fund from exchange due to it is low fees compared to other, that was more than a year ago as of now I didn't use because I much comfortable with electrum wallet. Which is allowed in using segwit address not just like blockchain.com they didn't allow segwit address.
However, blockchain.com for me is still good if I don't have any other option aside from electrum I use that wallet.

5571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Which you prefer to Gambling, on betting DApp or Gambling in Dice site? on: January 27, 2019, 01:16:14 PM
I am a fan of gambling especially on a mobile phone because it is handy and convenient to play even I am in my office while taking a break I played betting on my phone. Just because of my friend recommend me this Dapp and I much enjoyed betting.

Can be found here: (https://d2vzo1koinak8a.cloudfront.net/appdl/betxp/index.html)

After a whole day worked when I'm home, it made me relax and feel comfortable if I gambled in gambling site on dice gaming even one hour is enough. I usually visit https://bustadice.com/play.

Here is my question, is this normal sign or I am becoming to an addicted to gambling?
Then if you were in my shoe, which you preferred to focus to gamble in betting Dapp or in web gambling site?
Gambling on Dapp is safe when it comes to your fund storing?

Let's start to discuss since it is gambling discussion, your thought below Wink

PS: I'm not promoting these both gambling sites and betting Dapp just sharing and asking for advice from the folks here.

Mate the rewards are not that small, in fact, what he is doing is somewhat like a community rewards are just a gift for the users to be kept active.
Yes mate, I've got your point but as what @NavI_027 said 1 Satoshi is just nothing and it takes a long time to achieve unless if you spam their forum. Imagine, just like my account now, more than 2 years here in Bitcointalk but my recent post is 1,176, how much more the 50k points equivalent to 50k Satoshi. As what I have said unless if spamming is allowed there and make 100 posts daily. Have you remember before there's building a forum the ICOforums.net but usually participants are spamming the entire forum just to achieve the quota post and get rewards.

Looking forward to the OP's project since he is our fellow countryman, I did not want to happen to him what happened to ICOforums before. So, I'll be watching on this thread it seems we have an alternate source of getting knowledge in crypto aside from this forum.
5573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: January 27, 2019, 07:27:03 AM
You don't have to depend on crypto trading for your living. This is the simple answer.
Crypto trading is a job.It's boring,time-consuming,tedious.
Just try to quit crypto trading for a while and see what happens. If it gets worse, you need to talk with an expect.
That's the effect if you are working online, you are relying on crypto trading instead of looking a decent job that gives you a stable profit not just like in trading. Trading is not an easy job, you need to spend more time just to monitor daily the crypto price movement. How boring isn't it? Trading is a sort of gambling when you are addicting on it it is really hard to quit from it. Indeed, there is always self-limitation.
5574  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin from Devil or from God? on: January 27, 2019, 06:01:05 AM
I am sure Satoshi Nakamoto is a human, he has created bitcoin to offer a simple use of money, a transaction system that can be used anytime, anywhere without the help of third parties and he has succeeded in making it happen.

What if Satoshi isn't a single person, but a cipher? I'm not one for conspiracy, but there's a good chance Satoshi is a group of like minded individuals whom all shared a great idea. Or, if you believe in the silly conspiracy that satoshi is a self conscious quantum computer who escaped from the future. There is no spoon  Tongue. Think about it, all that code, by just one individual though? Possible, however, not logical.
Satoshi I think is a codename may be a group of people, to the OP do you know the word, Devil? What do you mean about devils? We do know that the devil is a negative term so it means bad stuff. But I don't really know and we need to make sure of that. As of today, we use
it because of greed and curiosity. In positive perspective though, we use it because of its benefits because it is game-changing that it gives us a freedom to save our amounts of money without any greedy people who consider themselves officials and uses greed to regulate our money and earn from it.
5575  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitmoneytalk.com -Filipino owned Social network - Get PAid for social activities on: January 27, 2019, 05:03:31 AM
I know that 1 satoshi is almost nothing for the majority of us. But if I ever able to made a 50,000 posts (though very long to achieve), how will you pay me and the other members who did the same? Where would be the source of funds for that? Huh

Certainly, the update and feature was good, but the thing is where will he get the funds? From the ads? It would be possible if he's are rich, if he have a big mining properties, or he will have many investors that willing to be on a partnership on this project.

This thing also came up in my mind, where did he get a source of the funds? I also viewed the site but I can't see the whole content because you need to login first or register. It's look likes an interesting site very simple and easy to understand especially newbie but I think the reward is too low.

I think you must have a bounty campaign on your website promoting to be well known here in the forum and catch the attention for those crypto enthusiasts here. Most of them will come if they know that they can get profit, that's the reality. Wink
5576  Economy / Economics / Re: Former Fed chairmen confesses to be responsible for recessions. Tinfoil hats on! on: January 27, 2019, 04:39:17 AM
At the first paragraph, the term used "surprising" means the former chairman unexpectedly claimed the recessions because the people who do these kinds of stuff would definitely hide their dirty little secrets. It is a surprise since. These kind of people are influential enough to hire the most skilled and professional accountants to clean their money and do the recessions in the market without any dirt.

Recessions are almost common to all of the countries around the world and I don't consider it as a conspiracy. We all know that everything is business and is owned by someone so they could do what they want to control it.
5577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have plan to launch an online dice simulator couple of days later... on: January 27, 2019, 03:45:47 AM
Now that's a pretty unique idea, I'm wondering if anyone has ever offered such a service?
Don't forget to think about including a way to simulate dice games with different house-edges.

Otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose of being able to practice strategies.

yes, provide different house edge trying.
I have a lot of question in mind regarding this simulator. The first question will be, what algorithm do you use for this? The strategies you use in this platform, is it the same strategy the dice betting sites use? How would you make sure? What is the purpose of having a dice simulator if it has a different algorithm and structures? People who would like to use it are not all programmers who would understand debugging and coding like me. How would you explain it to someone like me?

I do apologize but I have a little doubt about this project. I just need answers to my questions to help you know your project more too and reach the market. I am looking forward to this project of yours and I think I'll be one of your supporters.
5578  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain friendly countries? on: January 27, 2019, 03:01:09 AM
Their have been couple of countries that are crypto friendly but to me personally melta still remains the first cryptocurrency friendly country because of it support for blockchain development their have been some legal policies that support the development of cryptocurrency with a centralized framework in melta.
Yup I agree that Malta so far was just another crypto and blockchain friendly country.

They even implemented a no tax to crypto business but condition applies.
There's a lot of blockchain friendly countries now, Well for me, every country is blockchain friend countries yet there are just a little of regulations and gaps. For example, in the Philippines. Growing and startup fin-techs connected to blockchain are on their ways to generate profit. I heard that Thailand accepted crypto-currencies well. But South Korea is thinking about it since there are some cases of money laundering that is related to Bitcoin.
5579  Economy / Economics / Re: LESSONS FROM CRYPTO MARKET on: January 26, 2019, 03:48:16 PM
The only lesson i got hold on to now is that, we should all have this very long line of patience in order to survive this wild market.  Fear is the people's natural way to save himself, while patience will takes place after. Greed is somehow connected to it because as what you said, if you want more, you'll wait untill your money grows bigger.
for small investors like me, your advice is true. now I can only be patient waiting for prices to recover. because if I sell now, I will suffer a loss. by looking at the shining future of Bitcoin, of course I have to hold it until my target is fulfilled. luckily my money I use is free money, so my psychology is more stable
That's right keep on holding because those are patiently waiting they are most likely succeed in this kind of business a cryptocurrency investment. Even me I invested last year since in the first quarter of the year but until now I didn't spend them. Fear and greed are natural emotion on a human being but at least we know how to control with it. Learn base on your experience in trading and put some lesson to avoid failure activity near in the future.

I support Trump to build the wall..

I'm also with you, Trump was in the right decision. But here is the thing comes up in my mind, I don't know but I find this funny. I can imagine how much Trump hates Mexico and I think there's a personal issue he has trouble with the people of Mexico. He is trying to build walls to make Mexico down in economics. I think Trump had a business in Mexico and he wasn't pleased. We don't know the whole story but there's a big chance why this president is obsessed with building that wall.
