As above, I don't disagree with it, it's just a shame when it happens. I had similar feelings with the Fury/Wilder towel throw in. I could see why his coach did it, but I like to see fights out wherever possible. Obviously the health of fighters is paramount but that's also why I like to see rematches if there's not a clear winner. Fights going to points is always frustrating as well, especially when it's close. Yup... But with Masivdal vs Diaz, I don't think it deserves a rematch. It wasn't even close. Diaz was getting his ass kicked the whole time out there. |

Coutinho flopped because so much was expected from him, he came with a huge fee. Messi is the star there, every player plays second fiddle to Messi. Coutinho is a good player but he would never be the teams star player.
What did Barca buy him for then? He should've been one of the club's star players imho. Klopp was gonna build his squad around him before Barca had to mess with Coutinho's head by pressuring him to get him. Edit: Big clubs shouldn't be doing that to players. |

Diaz only lost via Doctor stoppage. They should rematch that fight but Masvidal doesn't seem to want it even though it would be the right thing to do. I think the Diaz trilogy fight would be one of the biggest fights McGregor could take right now outside of a Khabib rematch but there's more chance of the Diaz match happening since Khabib doesn't seem in any rush to fight him again, though money talks.
Nate Diaz lost the fight because of doctor stoppage because he was getting beaten badly as Jorge Masvidal was dominating the fight and even one judge scored two rounds 10 to 8 which shows how dominant Jorge Masvidal was in the fight and the rematch will not make any sense as Jorge Masvidal is waiting for his title fight and Nate Diaz is not even in the title picture and as you said McGregor and Nate should fight for their trilogy as i do not see McGregor getting a rematch with Khabib anytime soon. Nate Diaz's face get's busted up easily by anyone. I can't remember who did what in the fight but all it takes is one punch or kick for the tables to be turned. Diaz was willing to fight on and the guy is an animal and the Drs stoppage is an easy way out which isn't a fair win IMO. I would be surprised if they had a fight that huge on it though. If they manage to get Conor involved I think it could be the biggest UFC draw ever. The mix of Conor fighting, the cornovirus happening with nothing else to do and it being on an island would all be huge publicity wise. I doubt that's gonna happen this year. Although I'm sure Newcastle's owner will find a way to pump money into the club, the lineup in which Mbappe is surrounded with Dembele, Almiron and Longstaff really made me laugh.
Yes, you can have money. Yes, you can even spend it freely. But no - you cannot pair Mbappe with Almiron, Moussa Dembele and Matty fucking Longstaff. Not even in Fifa anymore.
I expect FFP rules to be more lenient and Newcastle to take maximum advantage, but even like that it would take them 5 years to assemble a team decent enough to challenge the top 4.
Maybe around 6 transfer windows, three years. And depending on how good their backroom staff is as far as scouting goes. I think Poch could be a good pick to build something over there. |
