Klopp supposedly called Mbappe to convince him to go to Liverpool.  Cheesy

And on more serious rumors...  I hear it's Poch and Coutinho for Newcastle.

I heard that he talked with Mbappe's father, not with him  Cheesy Cheesy
Any way, it seems that Real right now have more chances to bring Mbappe and better starting position but still everything is open in this story  Cheesy

Right!  My mistake.  Cheesy

And no...  Big money transfers are gonna fall thru this summer.  It's gonna be a summer of free agents and loan deals imho.
5562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2020, 12:21:50 PM
I had the same reaction live.  But then, watching the replay..?  As much as I would've loooved to see the match go on, it was the right stoppage

As above, I don't disagree with it, it's just a shame when it happens. I had similar feelings with the Fury/Wilder towel throw in. I could see why his coach did it, but I like to see fights out wherever possible. Obviously the health of fighters is paramount but that's also why I like to see rematches if there's not a clear winner. Fights going to points is always frustrating as well, especially when it's close.

Yup...  But with Masivdal vs Diaz, I don't think it deserves a rematch.  It wasn't even close.  Diaz was getting his ass kicked the whole time out there.

^  They'll all get cancelled.  IMHO.

Anyway...  How many races have passed their schedule and how many future races have already been confirmed cancelled?

Klopp supposedly called Mbappe to convince him to go to Liverpool.  Cheesy

And on more serious rumors...  I hear it's Poch, Coutinho Griezmann for Newcastle.  I know I know, that last bit is lulz.  But I can see Poch and Coutinho go.
5565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2020, 05:39:07 PM
^  Not from what I've been reading.  The league could decide to restart any moment now...  But the offer still stands as is if you wanna take it.  Grin
5566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 29, 2020, 05:34:59 PM

Quick reminder;
Belgian Football League cancelled
Dutch Football League cancelled
French Football League cancelled

English Football League ??

But if you check top 4 leagues:
English Football league still not cancelled
Italian Football league still not cancelled
Spain Football league still not cancelled
German Football league still not cancelled

I don't want to belittle the other leagues, but however, the most important decisions come from these top four leagues. much higher turnover of money, therefore, have the greatest impact.

When there's more money at stake, you can't really just shut everything down.  But the thing is they got to decide asap.  The more they wait the closer it gets to being cancelled.

Coutinho flopped because so much was expected from him, he came with a huge fee. Messi is the star there, every player plays second fiddle to Messi. Coutinho is a good player but he would never be the teams star player.

What did Barca buy him for then?  He should've been one of the club's star players imho.  Klopp was gonna build his squad around him before Barca had to mess with Coutinho's head by pressuring him to get him.

Edit:  Big clubs shouldn't be doing that to players.

^^

I don’t think the games (behind closed doors) will be free on TV & why should they be? Sky & BT have already paid for the coverage & have existing contracts with the PL.

For boost on morale.  These are extra ordinary times we're going thru.  These company execs have to stop thinking about their pockets for now and give back to the real people who have supported the sport thru think and thin.  And it's not just a sport for most people...

^  Lol.  Don't.  Ngannou's a beast and Cruz hasn't fought in a while.

^  But the thing with Ferguson is he always gets hit.  And his chin hasn't really been tested from what I've seen of him.  There was that fight with Pettis tho when he got a wee bit wobbly...  But then Ferguson started doing tumble flips.  Lawl.
Justin Gaethje is the perfect opponent to test his chin, in almost all of the fights Tony Ferguson eat a lot of punches and people have taken him to the ground and the flip and roll when Pettis wobbled him and i have not seen anyone doing an imanari roll before when they are disoriented and that is why Tony is really unpredictable as you never know what he is going to do and somehow finds a way to win.

Gaethje is the perfect opponent to test him everywhere.  I mean just watch Ferguson's fight vs Kevin Lee.  He was kinda tested.  But lucky for him Lee had staph infection and had to take antibiotics which could've affected Lee's performance.

You guys need to watch this again and judge if the odds the bookies are laying for Gaethje at 2.55 (FJ) is worth it.  I think it's worth it.  But that's just me..  And people that know me around here know I get it wrong a lot of the time.  Lolol.

Edit:  Third round and Gaethje prop at FJ at 17.  Hmmm...  What do you guys think?

^  If the league won't resume at around June at the latest, chances are..  I really think it could get cancelled.  So they have to decide now than just wait around.

Anyway...  I feel weird today.  Like this feeling of butterflies in my stomach.  Anxiety?

With all the sudden interest in online poker lately, I was wondering if FJ would be interested in running a poker site and start of poker network for crypto.

Something like what WPN is doing.  Different poker skins but sharing the same player pool under one network.

Anybody wanna do a small bet vs me?  Just 10 bucks.  I say none of the big money transfers are gonna push thru during this coming transfer window.  But help me define what 'big money transfer' is...  Anything above 50m GBP?

I’ll give this one a miss Cheesy
I think a lot of clubs will spend less than usual but some big deals will go through. Hope we get Werner  Tongue

Ah, could be a sign that I'm at the right side of the bet for once.  Grin

Anybody else?  DeathAngel, Trofo, Ltu_btc...?  Give me a chance to win 10 bucks back at least.  Cheesy

Edit:  And Willian for free?  Def sign him.
5575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 27, 2020, 06:38:44 PM

Diaz only lost via Doctor stoppage. They should rematch that fight but Masvidal doesn't seem to want it even though it would be the right thing to do. I think the Diaz trilogy fight would be one of the biggest fights McGregor could take right now outside of a Khabib rematch but there's more chance of the Diaz match happening since Khabib doesn't seem in any rush to fight him again, though money talks.
Nate Diaz lost the fight because of doctor stoppage because he was getting beaten badly as Jorge Masvidal was dominating the fight and even one judge scored two rounds 10 to 8 which shows how dominant Jorge Masvidal was in the fight and the rematch will not make any sense as Jorge Masvidal is waiting for his title fight and Nate Diaz is not even in the title picture and as you said McGregor and Nate should fight for their trilogy as i do not see McGregor getting a rematch with Khabib anytime soon.

Nate Diaz's face get's busted up easily by anyone. I can't remember who did what in the fight but all it takes is one punch or kick for the tables to be turned. Diaz was willing to fight on and the guy is an animal and the Drs stoppage is an easy way out which isn't a fair win IMO. This is what Diaz looks like when he wins and he still could have managed a choke if he was allowed to carry on:

Anyway here's another epic scrap between two legends!

UFC 249 to lead to Conor McGregor trilogy clash against Nate Diaz with Dana White set to host shows on ‘fight island’

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/11462882/mcgregor-diaz-trilogy-fight-island/

I would love to see the trilogy fight on the island. I would be surprised if they had a fight that huge on it though. If they manage to get Conor involved I think it could be the biggest UFC draw ever. The mix of Conor fighting, the cornovirus happening with nothing else to do and it being on an island would all be huge publicity wise.

I doubt that's gonna happen this year.  Nate Diaz lost a huge bout vs Masvidal and McGregor won vs a declining Cerrone.  It's still a draw.  But it's not gonna be a huge draw that 'could be' given the right circumstances.

Letting them fight now just for the sake of letting them fight would be leaving lots of money on the table imo.

Yup it did...  But watch the fight again.  Masvidal owned him.  Diaz had no chance and I don't think there has to be a rematch.

Anyway...  249's main card is looking good!  If it's happening.  *fingers crossed*

^  I think they had a great chance this year after beating Real imo, before Rona happened.

Hahah, this is some funny journalism.

Although I'm sure Newcastle's owner will find a way to pump money into the club, the lineup in which Mbappe is surrounded with Dembele, Almiron and Longstaff really made me laugh.
Yes, you can have money. Yes, you can even spend it freely. But no - you cannot pair Mbappe with Almiron, Moussa Dembele and Matty fucking Longstaff. Not even in Fifa anymore.

I expect FFP rules to be more lenient and Newcastle to take maximum advantage, but even like that it would take them 5 years to assemble a team decent enough to challenge the top 4.

Maybe around 6 transfer windows, three years.  And depending on how good their backroom staff is as far as scouting goes.

I think Poch could be a good pick to build something over there.
