5561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CHART 2016 VS 2019 on: November 18, 2019, 01:12:14 PM
it's very good for technical analysis. and have something in common in 2016. If it does, we will see an increase in December and January. but we also cannot be sure that it is strong support. because in crypto currencies, anything can happen. I hope this support is strong. and re-form the rising pattern until halving is finished and makes the pump high like in 2017.

I doubt that we will see a pump similar to 2017 after the block halving, it will take months or even years if we are going to see another massive pump.

But it's good to see the comparison chart, at least we have something to look at and people will find reason to invest on bitcoin because of the supposedly similarity between the two. But the moral here is that despite some similarity there could be a lot of difference and that the pump might not actually happen in 2020 but in the following years to come.
5562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 18, 2019, 11:42:32 AM
James had another monster games against the Hawks, almost getting a triple double with 33 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds, and six other players in double digits. Blistering start for them in the first quarter, I thought that Hawks won't score at least 10 point in that quarter.

They try to get closer when Bron in not playing inside and trim the lead, however when he return, he restore the lead again. Good win for the Lakers the score 122-101.
Very impressive appearance from LeBron and in this game there is a special guest at the Staples Center today, Kobe Bryant coming up with his daughter watched the game in front and had a handshake with LeBron during the match.
Lebron makes it more entertaining carrying 33 points and those amazing 3's. Lakers have a good blend of chemistry, they are enjoying the game
and they are sharing the ball, the system is really working with Lebron creating the play and making good space to his teammates.

That Handshake with Kobe shows respect from Lebron, And that acknowledgement from the crowd Kobe really being love by the lakers fans..

Lebron if he could bring championships to the Lakers will also get the same acknowledgement from the Lakers fans, Magic and Kobe seems to be the favourite today but I'm sure Lebron will have his team if he can bring another trophy for the Lakers fans.

Yup, it was really an impressive show by Lebron specially his outside shooting. Speaking of Kobe's daughter, just watch this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F9zB-t1cHQ.  Grin, taking a fadeaway just like his dad.
5563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 11:09:31 AM
Since there are hundreds or even thousands of Cryptocurrencies out there around the world, I am rather interested in what are the processes of creating a new cryptocurrency. I’m interested in things like how do people decide when to make new cryptocurrencies, what are the logistics in making the new coins and how do they promote their new coins to the public or certain groups of people in order to facilitate its usage.

Very easy.

You just can go to fiverr and hire someone to create a token or crypto for you, https://www.fiverr.com/gigs/cryptocurrency.

So you can just one day think of creating your own because you think if can offer a real life use case. However, as far as logistics, they use this forum, by having bounty campaigns and then hire someone like influencer to spread the word around the crypto sphere. But the question, is the product really offer something unique, or will it be just to scam investors?
5564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin could reach $1,000 in a couple of years from now on: November 16, 2019, 08:48:33 AM
I guess everything is really possible in this cryptosphere.

We don't know, if there are bull run starting in 2020 then possible that it can reach 4 digit as the OP suggested. Just look at bitcoin, who would have thought that it can reach as high as $20k in 2017? The highest that I saw early in 2017's prediction is $5k, but we all know that happen next.

The thing with Litecoin is that gamblers are still using it, similar to Doge. Because transaction is very quick and fees are not that high. So there's still a bright future for this coin, maybe down 5-10 years as others have suggested.
5565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 16, 2019, 08:21:38 AM

It will be a hard fought race for the MVP.
There is Kawhi, Lebron and the new crowd favorite Doncic.
Triple doubles or double double, these guys are game changers and Gianis might be on the last of the list.
It will depend also on their health. if possible 80 games should be played to take that trophy for season MVP.

I will vote for Doncic now. Give him some boost to be more confident and be the new face of the league.  Grin

Luca has the very big chance to become the youngest MVP, younger than D.Rose (MVP at age 22). Im voting half for Doncic, as he continued to be consistent by leading the Dallas Mavericks last season up to this season averaging almost a triple double at a very high level of basketball IQ.
While, I'm also voting half for LeBron. He's in his 17th season and were playing like the LeBron in 2013.

If Doncic wont get the MVP this year, I'm pretty sure next season he will.

Don't forget James Harden as well.

He is playing MVP caliber again, averaging almost 39 points a game. So it will be interesting how the MVP this season goes (although it is still early). Of course, many wanted to see Luka winning because he really elevated his game this season.

But we have to see his team win though, so that the argument for him in the discussions for the MVP will be solid and legit, just saying.
5566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spammed by 1Sats TX on: November 16, 2019, 08:01:30 AM
As far as I can remember, there were some invdiviual or groups in 2017 wherein they spam the hell of the bitcoin network, Possible Bitcoin Network Spam Attack is One User's Moby Dick.

So this is not new, if there are effects on the price, probably just short term though, and as explain by @ranochigo, if you pay good fees then you're not going to be affected by it. Sooner or later it will pass by, because those people or groups need money to fuel their spamming and I doubt that they will go on forever with this kind of activity.
5567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 14, 2019, 11:13:01 PM
~snip~

This tournament is very different, if we have been from the beginning of this tournament, I'm sure majority of us has lost already because of upsets and players unpredictability.
I already lost some good amount at the beginning :-P
Then I not do go anymore since results are really unpredictable and today is another time it proved right.

Sorry to hear that mate.

And speaking of unpredictability, Federer bring back the hands of time and demolished Djokovic. I will say that this is one of the best tennis I've seen Federer brings in the table. I'm sure that everyone is expecting Djokovic to win, but Federer has other plans.
5568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 14, 2019, 07:11:10 PM
Pretty obvious that Dominic Thiem didn't push himself against Berrettini because he was already in the semi finals. And Matteo Berrettini made history as well, being the first Italian to win a singles match in this season ending tournament. He defeated Thiem, 7-6(3), 6-3.
Good lord, I was not gambling in this tournament as I said I will not anymore. If I would then I would definitely go with Thiem and ended up losing money again. Let's see what Djokovic and Federer bring for us.

Starting in less than two hours.

Lol, good for you mate, I was also thinking of putting a bet from Thiem, but I didn't factor in that he was already in the semis and perhaps easing on Berrettini to make history.

This tournament is very different, if we have been from the beginning of this tournament, I'm sure majority of us has lost already because of upsets and players unpredictability.
5569  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin: Chess Masters vs. Surfers on: November 14, 2019, 06:36:52 PM
I would also call myself in between those two, and it's hard to define yourself as it boils down to your risk appetite. If you're more of a gambler type they probably you can be a surfer.

But I'm sure traders wanted to be a Chess Masters, looking at the situation and think ahead of time as to what will be the next move based on technical analysis. So I would rather be in the middle here, just to play safe,  Grin
5570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An investor lost $24 million worth of bitcoin on: November 14, 2019, 06:06:38 PM
Which case the OP is referring to?

Crypto Investor Awarded Over $75 Million in SIM-Swapping Hack Case?

AT&T Fails to Win Dismissal in $24 Million Crypto SIM-Swap Lawsuit

For the record though, Michael Terpin was hacked twice already, he won the first case and awarded $75 million.

I'm not saying that it's his fault, but he should should learn his lessons from the first attack and keep his BTC in a safe place.
5571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 12, 2019, 11:48:59 AM
What preparations do you make to see the coins to be pumped?

If you are taking about a coins that is scheduled to be listed on a exchange, then obviously you have to check the schedule so that you can follow the pump, because usually though, first time listing will cause a huge pump on the price specially if there is hype around it.

Are you going to wait for a higher upward trend or choose to sell when you have a chance?

Personally, if I have reached my exit plan, then definitely I will sell it no matter what. One danger of waiting for the price to go on parabolic is that you don't know when it's going to come down. So it's better to get your ROI early and move on the next coins.
5572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 12, 2019, 11:12:57 AM
He will likely just end up having a double double and a win, and I like to see that happen.  Grin

Sorry mate but it didn't happen because the Mavericks loss in the game.

Final score is 106-116, and though luka had scored 34 points, but he lacks only 1 assist to end it in double double, but they still loss anyway.
this proves to us that Celtics remains as good as they area although Hayward was injured because anyone is willing to step up and that's the reason for their win against the Mavericks.

"Give the ball to Kemba", lol, it was also a close match, but it looks like Celtics has more to offer in the last 4 minutes of the game. I thought that Dallas will win specially when it seems that Luka was taking the game over with consecutive basket.

But Kemba specially Jaylen Brown closed them out, Smart and Wanabaker also contribute big as well. Sad to see Luka though, he always plays good but his team always fall short.
5573  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto News Aggregator on: November 12, 2019, 10:29:49 AM
Good effort, you need to adjust the static interface to look more modern but I have some questions:

 - Update data: How is the data updated? Is it automatically? How long?
 - Fake News: Lots of fake news, do you have an algorithm to check it?
 - Repeat news or news is not relevant: Is there an algorithm to do it?
 - Charts: Charts seem static and cannot be adjustable.

The interface could definitely look better. Design isn't my best area lol. I'll see what I can do though to make it look more modern.

-News is pulled once an hour and is updated upon any refresh on page. All cryptocurrency market data is updated every minute. Lastly, stock market overview and bitcoin sentiment is updated once a day.
-I currently do not have an algorithm to check fake news. This is a good idea though and something I'm interested in doing. This may take some time to implement.
-I currently do not have an algorithm to check repeat news. This is another good idea and something I should be able to implement fairly easily.
-I designed the charts to be fairly static, however, I'm open to changing how you can interact with them. In what ways would you like them to be adjustable?

Thank you for the feedback Smiley

I don't think you can have a algo to check for fake news unless you do it manually. If I remember correctly, in reddit there are a lot of fake news and it can only be tagged by the moderator, meaning their's manual intervention.

Maybe you can add up a filter function though? If we wanted to see just bitcoin news, then perhaps we filter it out? Or at least a category in the side of the news, so that we won't have to go to all of them and we can easily pick the news we wanted to read.
5574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will You Do To Recover Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 10:08:34 AM
In 2010, you came across a site that was giving away bitcoins. The site said it was free money so you signed up. You were logging in to figure out how it was money but couldn't. The last time you logged in you had more than 100 bitcoins. Later you forgot about the site until 2017 when a ponzi was advertising Bitcoin. Bitcoin? The name rang a bell and you stated hearing stories. You remembered you must have many bitcoins  somewhere but you can't even remember the name of the site. How would you recover your BTC?

Then there's no way for you to recover your bitcoins, simply as that.

You can't even remember the site, so I'm sure you also don't remember your wallet and obviously you don't have the private key. And do you think that the owner of that site wouldn't 'steal' that bitcoin from you?. So the chances are zero here, sorry to burst the bubble for you.

5575  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 11, 2019, 02:56:42 PM
I think we should understand what's the target market of Libra.

They've wanted a slice of the huge remittance business. So obviously, those who works abroad to earn money and to be able to send it to their families back home can easily be attracted by FB's Libra here. Take for example India, according to reports, they have remittance close to $80 billion.

So most probably that alone can make Libra tons of money if they garnered India's market for remittance. Specially if is going to be cheap as compare to let's say Western Union (WU) and very quick to send/received. And if that is the case, then I will probably used it regardless of the backlash from US and other countries around the world.
5576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 11, 2019, 02:00:45 PM
Worst thing that I've done, pawn some items, borrow money from a friend, spend my salary just to continue to gamble. But I couldn't see myself doing this kind of stuff, I guess the guy was really out of control already and his decisions are obviously clouded.

Maybe he thinks that the can still bounce back and return the money without anyone noticing it. However, he was already deep down and as others have said, he was like possessed and telling him to continue his gambling habits. But this is the consequences now, and he has to deal with it.
5577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple CEO: As many as 99% of all cryptocurrencies will likely go to zero, on: November 11, 2019, 01:18:29 PM
And then there will be 99% of altcoins being born every minute, so nothing is new, as the process will go on and on, it's cyclical sad to say. And it's pretty obvious that majority of coins is just for pure pump-and-dump scheme. They're lucky if top exchanges are going to list them or if the projects behind have raised enough fund to keep the 'moolah' going for them.

Anyway the ironic part is that XRP is still way below it's all time high, - 90% down.  Smiley
5578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Looking to Spend $2 Billion on Blockchain by 2023 on: November 11, 2019, 11:06:29 AM
Even prior to their current statement supporting blockchain, China Already Leads The Patent Race.

So obviously, they have embraced blockchain so I'm not surprised that they are going to spend huge amount as per the article in the next coming years. What will be effect on crypto? I guess we will have to see, I mean we all know that blockchain is not equal crypto, so we can't really say that it will bring positive news to the whole market in general.
5579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you not relented in viewing your account wallet? on: November 10, 2019, 04:30:17 AM
It's been a while that the dump has persisted, many have hoped  and predicted in several direction especially for the middle of the year till now and many have become so weary, their we're times I check my wallet like thrice a day, later twice, once and now a whole day I may not check. Most time like thrice a week, i'm sure i am not alone in this condition, how about you?

I stay away from checking my wallet because I know that we are still going to trade sideways anyway, so what the point of regularly checking it? But I had to admit that during the bull run, Lol, I don't know, but like everyday I have to go visit my wallet and see how much I gain that day by just HOLDing on my coins.

But I have move on and mature already, perhaps once or thrice a day and then I go on with my regular life. Perhaps another check when I was about to sleep. If the price slips down, I'm not affected that much because this is supposedly a journey and you need a lot of patience as well.
5580  Economy / Economics / Re: At which price will loose Bitcoin the dominance in the Crypto Market? on: November 10, 2019, 03:28:51 AM
It's been almost a month now since the OP has posted, and it seems we won't see bitcoin's dominance breaking is still way above 65% at this time. So I guess we can say that at this point bitcoin will remain on top and I doubt that ETH or any other altcoin can take its place.

Just look at the rest of the altcoins, still down 90% from their all time high, while bitcoin has recovered, only 50%-60% and there's a possibility that before the end of the year, we could be in the five figures again. Even at its peaked in 2017, bitcoin's dominating, ~ 47%. On the contrary, if alts wanted to make a run then they should have make their move, because in six months time, block halvening will be coming and we all know what it can break to the ecosystem.
