@tomahawk, yeah I saw that Boris Johnson is thinking about letting football restart in a couple of weeks. He thinks it’ll boost the moral of the country. It will certainly boost mine Cheesy

This.

I'm not as hopeful as I was a couple weeks ago tho.  And I heard the Dutch league is gonna cancel their season.  Too much risk for them.

I've been asking around...  I think something's cooking in Justin Sun's kitchen.  Could be good, could be another one of his duds.  But it involves something about his new Defi USDJ stablecoin.

Caveat:  I'm mostly talking out of my ass here.  Cheesy

^  Timo Werner?  Don't count Tottenham out...  With Mourinho at the helm, he'll turn the Spurs into a wasteful spending juggernaut.  Grin

I don't think this year's transfer window will see huge acquisitions tho.
5584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is DeFi anything? on: April 24, 2020, 03:15:38 PM
Just wondering...  Can an entity who holds a huge bag of, say, ETH use that bag to generate a ton of USD stablecoin from some Defi and pump ETH with those same generated stablecoins?

^  City wanted to copy Barca's template and had long term plan on how things should pan out.  And it wasn't just about winning trophies, it was also about building their academy and producing young talents like how Barca does it.

And they picked their transfers well over the years on average...  Unlike United after SAF.

UFC 249 to lead to Conor McGregor trilogy clash against Nate Diaz with Dana White set to host shows on ‘fight island’

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/11462882/mcgregor-diaz-trilogy-fight-island/

I would love to see the trilogy fight on the island. I would be surprised if they had a fight that huge on it though. If they manage to get Conor involved I think it could be the biggest UFC draw ever. The mix of Conor fighting, the cornovirus happening with nothing else to do and it being on an island would all be huge publicity wise.

I doubt that's gonna happen this year.  Nate Diaz lost a huge bout vs Masvidal and McGregor won vs a declining Cerrone.  It's still a draw.  But it's not gonna be a huge draw that 'could be' given the right circumstances.

Letting them fight now just for the sake of letting them fight would be leaving lots of money on the table imo.

This should be almost official Cheesy time for a #pogback, they need now to sell him on next transfer window

After all the s**t's that's been going on, is Juve willing to pay the asking price and is Man United willing to negotiate.  Not sure about how Real's books are but if there's a club who pays huge sums, it's usually them.

And I think he's been on Zidane's wanted list since his second stint as Real's manager.
5588  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW BETCOINPOKER.AG HTML 5 Client! on: April 23, 2020, 04:08:53 PM
Is the poker site still alive?  Lol.

Anyway, I suggested this at the SWC thread but they don't seem too interested, so I'll post it here:  How about setting up a poker network for existing BTC sports betting sites and casinos with a shared player pool.

Could WPN's skin be used but with the entire cash and tourney player pool isolated for BTC only?

You guys could lead the way.

^  Def fake.  And he's prolly not even moving anywhere for another whole year imo.

Here's a rumor swirling that could def happen:  Pochettino to Newcastle...  Yes please.

^  Yup...  I got rid of cable like a couple of months later after getting used to the firestick.  It has everything both paid and free stuff.  I personally like Kodi a lot.

I've been toying with this idea in my head after seeing some interest in poker in the space...  Is SWC interested in becoming a skin provider for BTC sports betting sites and casinos and form a poker network with a shared player pool?

You guys could start RB programs for affiliates which could help grow the BTC poker economy.

^  City wasn't a top club before the oilers took over.  They were the cooler side tho...  Unlike the more commercial Man U.
5593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 22, 2020, 11:57:35 AM
^  The 2020/2021 season could start later and be shortened by a couple of months.  And it'll probably safe enough in some areas to get people out in crowds again by then.

I hope I hope.  *fingers crossed*

A shortened EPL season would be roller coaster Cheesy

Imagine teams playing on a tight schedule with all the those tournaments and league competitions due to a shortened season. Maybe they would have to completely remove international friendlies or even International breaks as a whole.

Oh..  They're prolly dropping one of the cup games (the League Cup).  Maybe even both.  IMHO.  But there's gonna be less money going around, that's for sure.
5594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 22, 2020, 11:47:40 AM
^  Yup!  I hope the UFC goes thru with it.  It gives off that Blood Sport Kumite feel into the whole thing.  Rofl.

Gonna be funny if it's just an island of off Hawaii with shopping malls.  Cheesy

I read somewhere that the new Newcastle boss has 10x more money than the Man City boss.

I agree with LFC_Bitcoin in thinking there's not a way to buy 10 first-team players anymore, but investing in infrastructure and academy is not a part of FFP and Newcastle can heavily invest there immediately.
We still need to see how strict will the FFP rules be after the coronavirus outbreak because most clubs will not be able to abide by them for this/next season.

I still hope City gets banned from Europe and FFP remains a factor but there will be pressure to remove it for a period of time or at least to lessen its strictness. I see a chance for rich clubs to take advantage of that.

The issue Newcastle will have is star players won’t want to go there.....yet. When Man City first had money obviously they were a crap team so they had to pay older players high wages to try & get better to attract tye interest of better players. I remember Man City got Adebayor & Bellamy when they first got taken over.

Prolly cos they were just starting to build the club and know that they didn't have Ferran Soriano and Txiki Berigistain back then.  Two characters responsible for getting Pep in imo.

Anyway..  Anybody else starting to feel depressed?  Lol.

What the US gov should do is exempt poker from the UIGEA like it did with fantasy sports.  It's not gambling like how putting action at roulette is.  It's a skill game.
5597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not a joke. I think Jack Dorsey CEO of Twitter has funded this small cap. on: April 20, 2020, 05:58:23 PM
Lmao.  That trick is something that maybe could work way back in 2012 - 2013...  Maybe.  But still, the people who would fall for it would still be totally dumb even with the standards the space had back then.

^  While they're putting that out, I heard Real is having slight trouble with money.  And of course LFC and Chelsea are hesitating.  Every club is obv.

It's hard to get excited with these rumors atm cos we know they're likely not to happen.
5600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 19, 2020, 02:19:39 PM
^  The one of many players who might have a clause in their contracts that could give them the option not to come back during times like these.  We could see more soon..  IMHO.
