Migration testing ended up running an import script on the server ended up taking up way too much resources on the server. We are figuring out a better way to not starve the production box. This wasn't because of a DDOS.

These are stolen bitstamp coins being dumped, probably on btc-e or huobi, in turn causing bitstamp to crash. The timing is suspect, to say the least.
If thats the case the drop will be temporary, 18k coins isnt much in the grand scheme of things. I think it is only a trap , I will not dump my bitcoin ... instead I'll buy some bitcoin. Come on guys don't fall into the trap. |

I bitcoin sono al sicuro, tranquilli. A dire il vero, non c'e` nemmeno un tentativo di impossessarsene. E' un DDOS fatto con una botnet sul nostro front end web. Abbiamo fermato noi il front end, per evitare di pagare penali sul traffico al nostro provider. Stiamo lavorando a un workaround, perche' di fatto non siamo riusciti a bloccare la botnet come speravamo. Siamo umani (e rimaniamo umani). Grazie della pazienza e scusate il disagio, veramente avremmo voluto evitarlo. /paci PS> ovviamente per fermare l'attacco ci chiedono un riscatto, che non abbiamo intenzione di pagare Azz , pure il riscatto .... in questi giorni l'ecosistema bitcoin ne sta passando di tutti i colori (in modo indiretto).
