5581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scammed on LocalBitcoins on: October 29, 2019, 06:43:42 AM
If you don't want to be scammed I would suggest using local vendors that has your own currency and connections to your bank. Most of the time (almost all of the time) if they have a automatic website like that they are legit, even if you are not sure you can check online and see their results.

Maybe in Africa it is not quite common yet but that means even better because you can start one yourself which would be super profitable, there is 4 in my country hence why I can't really make one but if my country had none I would have get all the loans I can to start a new one because I know one exchange in my country and we talk with the owner time to time and they are super profitable. So either you would find a local exchange that does your currency or you find a good business opportunity.
5582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: October 29, 2019, 05:59:32 AM
Sports betting is broader than most beginners think. It takes many forms.
Is it?  I wonder these types are about the different strategies i.e. something else like parley in sportsbetting? Your link explains each type of betting but I just feel it would be too good if you take time to explain how one is differing from the others. I mean only when we are aware of the differences among them, I guess we may go for the right one; right one in the sense, the most profitable one.

It’s not limited to placing your bet on who you think will win between two teams or players in a match. Sometimes, it gets challenging when odds or point spreads get in the way.
When our final motto is predicting the winner, I just want to keep my things as simple as possible rather than complicating with different variety of betting types nor strategies. This is the reason why I am still sticking martingale for my dicing Wink.

I think it all depends on how you gamble and how much money you have. Even a small timer like me could get into top 10 if we are talking about the 1 day one, the 3 day one looks a bit more difficult obviously but does it really worth it? That is the real question.

Yes, I can find like 50k satoshi somewhere and try to play with 10k satoshi on 99% win chance and what not and even if I lose what are the odds of me losing 5 times in a row without making at least 10k profit and then losing that as well, I would probably reach to top 10 before that happens, maybe I won't but at least it does worth a try if you ask me. However does it really worth it? I feel like it wouldn't really worth the hassle, if you are a whale that has at least 0.1 or more than you can try but if not then it is better to leave it to them.
5584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 28, 2019, 06:18:10 PM
Curry has been trying to get into a rhythm and because there is not that many shooters around him anymore its getting harder for him to score that awesomely from three just for these two games. Of course, there is 80 more to go so they may get a lot better, remember last year when Klay played like shit for 5-6 games and started the season horribly and than dude broke the three point record?

Well, same goes for curry, dude is a beast and he could totally do that kind of crazy stuff after a while, I guess we can assess how they are in maybe 20th game, if they are still not that great and if Curry is still not a 30+ point 5+ three guy like he used to be than we can officially call dead on warriors dynasty.

I just feel like they didn't smush well with D'Lo that's all, if the team finds a way to involve those two together better than they may have a shot at a good playoff run but no matter what happens this season (including Klay coming back if he can) there is still no way they are becoming champions this year.
5585  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EarnBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: October 28, 2019, 06:07:15 PM
Nobody "vouches" for any casino nor any exchange or any crypto related place for that matter, the point is we are the "investors" here that you talk about, you basically think that you support us and defend us against eosbet for example. And I am telling you, if you want to help us against eosbet (which there is really no need and you are wasting your time) do not focus on the token price, this is a casino, sure there is token selling but casino doesn't control that, I can sell all my coins and drop the price as well, would that be the teams problem?

How could me selling all my tokens (and lets say I found 5 other people like me and we all dump together creating another 50% drop) would be responsibility of the team? If you want to make something happen then focus on the fact that team literally has ZERO communication with us here or on their chat, only on telegram and that is not alright.
5586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: October 28, 2019, 05:47:08 PM
Market can't be predicted because whales can do whatever they want, the regulations not being bothered on bitcoin does mean that people could do whatever they want.

There is no "SEC" in bitcoin and there is no other country meddling with bitcoin neither so in the end bitcoin is untouched by any governmental branch so if you want to buy 1 million dollars worth of bitcoin today, there is no law that says you can't do that or if you want to sell 1 million dollar worth of bitcoin then there is nothing that says you can't that neither. This is why bitcoin doesn't really have a predictable future, anyone can do anything and we just have to face the reality that it will be really doing whatever it wants and we can't do anything about it. Price to pay for decentralization I guess.
5587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: INFOGRAPHIC: Crypto Trading Terms Beginners (& Even Veterans) Should Know on: October 28, 2019, 03:38:11 PM
The "TA" I know is usually used for "technical analysis" but if you say its trend then it could be trend. I just seen it plastered here many times for technical purposes instead of Trend, and if I was reading it all wrong then I would laugh at myself a lot Cheesy.

Aside from that I agree with dochah that we need to have a lot more if we gonna use an infographic as a stepping stone to teach new (and even some veteran) traders what means what. This could actually work wonders considering you can actually plaster this whenever there is a discussion about what means which etc in any topic at any time.

I would love to save it to my PC and then use it whenever there is a topic about "what does x mean" or whatever and just plaster all of this together to help people out.
5588  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: October 28, 2019, 03:12:23 PM
This wasn't really a shocking week like the previous one and I am glad with it. The only loss I had all week was Arsenal which could be forgiven considered I made a profit as a whole this week from the City+United+Liverpool games, I was thinking about Leicester as well but I looked at it as an away game and since there was too many upsets on 9th week that maybe Leicester would have lost or at least get a tie, boy was I wrong Cheesy.

But, I didn't play so that doesn't count, the other 3 games I played earned way more than the Arsenal game that I lost, so it was all around a good week but I still haven't recovered from the loss of the 9th week yet, if next week United beats Bournemouth, arsenal beats wolves and Liverpool beats Aston villa plus city beats Southampton then I am going to be in plus for sure and recover from that week.
5589  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: October 28, 2019, 01:57:46 PM
My wife enjoys the slots as well, she has been playing on the blue one for a while and doesn't like the green and red ones, she likes to win even if small and just continue gambling instead of gambling and losing for a long time hoping you can hit big once.

I am exactly the contrary, I hate gambling for hours and have exactly zero to show for it, I may break even and that's fine but I just dislike the notion that I just spent hours and made zero, either Imma lose all my money in the end or Imma profit a ton with a big jackpot or some big win, that is when I feel like I am actually gambling. Otherwise whats the point if at the end I lost just couple thousand satoshi or won couple thousand satoshi, it is not never happened and doesn't matter, it is the big wins that matters to me.
5590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling risk is higher when we are on Bear Market? on: October 28, 2019, 09:40:54 AM
if it was me, I already lost a lot when I even bought those Bitcoins at $18,000 so the best thing I can do is to gamble it and earn more bitcoins to decrease my loss or breakeven it.
It seems that you have forget the fact that gambling is not at all a way to recover your losses. During the beer market all the bitcoin holders must be in depression/frustration due to their losses by the declined bitcoin prices, a frustrated gambler could never come out of gambling with profits. I mean to say you must need to be emotionally balanced when enter into gambling and when you are starting gambling for the reason of recovering your losses then definitely your emotions will collapse everything.

You have to have a lot of guts to do this and personally I don’t.I would wait for better days regarding to bitcoin price as a solution.
That must be a perfect solution for any bitcoin holder for the problem of bear market. With respect to the speculation about the future of bitcoin, I believe there will not be any problem if you hold your bitcoin to recover your losses incurred due to the investments in bitcoins. Just holding will solve everything and that will be no room for gambling here in this case of bitcoin-holding and bear-market.
5591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: October 28, 2019, 07:57:42 AM
Crypto bank for the reason of unable to protect is not making any sense. If you decide that you will start making use of cryptocurrency then you should be ready to handle it yourself and take the risks, oh and by the way, who even said that people can't protect their coins? There are hardware wallets like Trezor and Nano and you can as well save up your 12 word phrase and store it in several places to make sure it's safe. You can write it down on paper and keep it, and also save it other places where it is safe.

Even wallets like Coinbase are already safe and they offer services like banks; they have a Coinbase VISA debit card which you can use to spend your bitcoin anywhere whether online or ATMs worldwide. Their wallet is secured and they have a cold storage. There are platforms that lets you use your crypto assets to take loan online such as Nexo. So, I don't see the need to be talking about any other thing.

A crypto bank will attract more number of new people to adopt cryptocurrencies, I agree. But, I doubt that governments from all over the globe will come forward for the reason of familiarizing cryptos; I mean some governments are already against cryptos whereas most governments are yet to unveil their stand against cryptos. Only in a crypto friendly government, we can expect a regulated crypto bank to function like you mentioned; it may take decade of time, I am afraid.

Moreover, there could be a chances for regulated crypto banks for the purpose of earning interests for your capital. Again you need legal status for cryptos Cool.
5592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Common Mistakes Beginner Cryptocurrency Traders Do on: October 28, 2019, 05:46:30 AM
Trading crypto is one of the risky thing as a lot of people starts trading without the knowledge of cryptocurrency market.
As a crypto beginner trading crypto safely is one of the best idea ever.
I don't think anyone should be doing something they have no knowledge about. Before you start any kind of business you should study. Starting a business you don't have a clue about is just a waste of time as you will just be gambling with your money and before you realize what's happening you've failed! So it's best to take time out and study trading and know everything about it before you start.

Learning trading is not easy, it took me a lot of time and even now there are still a lot of things I'm yet to learn. Another thing you have to know is that there is no guarantee that what you will make is profit, the risks will always be there, but you can minimize the losses. You just have to work really hard and be good.

The major reason behind new people joining cryto is quick profits.
Yes you're right about that: I have seen a lot of newbies and they join because of the stories they heard of old investors that made it and they feel that Bitcoin is a means for quick profits online, forgetting to look into the risk side of it. They only start to realize it when it's already late.

It's good that anyone that wants to start trading should take their time and learn how to trade and also learn about cryptocurrencies.
5593  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: October 27, 2019, 08:04:04 PM
It's not that easy to calculate the effect of Lambo lottery on wagering volume. The wagering volume depends on many factors. One of them is price of bitcoin which is always changing. For example in a bull market, crypto-related websites becomes more popular.
Does it really matter the percentage of the gamblers that would gamble if there was no Lambo ticket. In freebitco, There is a provably fair game in Freebitco and everything is clear. No one can cheat you and no one force you to gamble in Freebitco.
Lambo lottery is a kind of promotion. What's the problem? You can win tickets and you can wager to get them. You can also ignore them and leave Freebitco. No one force people to gamble or buy the tickets.
That is what I am saying, like if you calculate the monthly averages of it then you can calculate both how much there was an increase BEFORE the lambo as well.

Just to give you an example, before the lambo (which started in may I think) go back 1 year, may of previous year there was lets say 1000 bitcoins wagered (making up the numbers) then on June there was 1200 then on July 1400 etc etc and on may when it started it was lets say 2500 and as soon as it started the increase skyrocketed to 3500 instead of expected 2800 for example, these are all examples of course but if something like that happened then how can we say that "we don't know if it was due to lambo", if you check previous increases and then lambo month you can easily pinpoint when it increased or if it increased.
5594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Zuckerberg & Libra Have to do With The Crypto Market? How Low Will BTC Goes on: October 27, 2019, 07:33:38 PM
The problem is Libra was basically the first mainstream adoption of blockchain, they would have created a coin that is centralized and heavily regulated and basically nothing to do with bitcoin itself but at least it would have been better than god damn USDT, that is for sure.

Think about it for a second, a currency where people can send money to each other from whatsapp and instagram, a currency where you can buy on binance and works exactly like USDT, a currency that has fast transactions and also stable fee as well instead of the current moving ones we have right now. It would literally be dream come true for ease of use on all traders and people who work. I am a freelance worker and it would have been awesome to get paid on instagram with Libra and turn it into bitcoin at binance and withdrawing to my local account for fiat.
5595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let this rise be a lesson - Bitcoin isn't strongly tied to anything on: October 27, 2019, 06:53:32 PM
It is actually tied to public opinion. Whenever people feel like it may fall and actually have bitcoins to sell they sell their bitcoins and price falls. Whenever they feel like it will go up and they have fiat they buy bitcoin and it goes up. Thats why its tied to public opinion. But, even that is not really mattering these days because even when most of the people think one thing whales could do another and price could change contrary to what people thinks.

Most people see this as "bitcoin moving against the public opinion" but that is not really true, whales are people too and it moves according to what they believe so its still considered "public opinion" just not what most of the public thinks but only a small portion of rich public thinks so its still true.
5596  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-10-25] Bitcoin price doesn't care about manipulators and is up $1200 in 2h on: October 27, 2019, 05:56:27 PM
Bitcoin price do care about manipulators. If you ever think that manipulators didn't let go off their foot from the gas in order to let bitcoin go up this much then you are dead wrong.

If they wanted it to stay down they could have sold thousands of bitcoins, make the "crypto news websites" that literally costs only 800 dollars to get something written and published (you literally don't even have to write, they write for you) that would look like bitcoin is going to die and there is a big problem and basically spend as much as they can to stop bitcoin from going up and in the end bitcoin would have stayed. They didn't because they wanted to sell their accumulated coins for higher and when they are richer they would do this once again and then again and again until they are even richer than they are right now.
5597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: October 27, 2019, 09:03:06 AM
Both can destroy your life and it's on the level of addiction if one guy smoke a pack of cigar daily his life will be in peril in the next two years and it's hard to cure something you get inside your body, than something you put inside your mind, the healing process for cigar will take years while on gambling it will only take months.
Both may not destroy your life if you know your limits. At the same time tobacco in any form may cause cancer in long run similarly gambling even in small amount but in regular basis may end up making you poor over the time. In my opinion, gambling may go balanced like you win and you lose and this process may continue if you are emotionally strong but smoking is like a slow poison which will definitely cannot be justified in for the cold countries.

gambling addiction is much easier to cure than cigar addiction. Both are bad, but the worst is cigar addiction.
Both gambling and cigar addiction would be easier to cure when that addicted person cooperates. I too like to conclude both of these addictions are bad and a person must be always conscious on not getting addicted to them. Yes, prevention is much better than suffering and then curing.
5598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 27, 2019, 03:37:27 AM
Srilanka's tour of Australia starts today with a T20 match. Srilanka own the toss and asked Australia to bat first. After the fine running in Pakistan with clean sweep of 3-0, Srilanka must be more confident to repeat the same as Australia is having mixed performances in T2O like they are not having good stats in T20 like they do in tests and ODIs.

I hope for tough competition today but I guess Srilanka may win today too. Yes. it is going to be Srilanka's spin attack vs Australia's power hitting. But, Australia is batting first which may help them to bat freely without any pressure. I guess the key player for Australia would be Maxwelll and for Srilanka it would be Maillinga.
5599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cointelegraph's Facebook account was actually blocked on: October 26, 2019, 07:19:07 PM
Well, I assume it was due to them getting grilled in the congress. They could make some sort of counter propaganda about their Libra on cointelegraph to get their views liked by the general public and create some sort of backlash to congress (doubtful because most crypto people hate facebook) but at least this way we have a guarantee that they wouldn't be able to do something like that. I wouldn't want them to have any control over crypto news anyway, they shape the news cycles however they wan by letting the fake news get around while banning the news they don't like.

You can write an article about how facebook is selling your info and share it and with one report it would be deleted and banned whereas you can create a fake news about how Libra is awesome and will save the world and with millions of reports it won't be banned. That's how a company becomes centralized.
5600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: October 26, 2019, 06:09:27 PM
The moment you give out your KYC to any company ever you are literally giving up your own security. People do not realize this but when you register to a Chinese exchange that has your KYC they are actually very free with it, they both share it with their government ( a must and a law) and they actually sell it to highest bidder as well.

Someone, I know actually got all of my information as a joke, I wasn't afraid him getting it because he knows me anyway but the fact stands that they didn't know this about us and shared all my info with him, my ID, my pictures, my balance, my trades, my withdrawals, name it and he got it. That is why protecting yourself is a lot more important than protecting your assets, I would rather lose all my balance there to a hack then get all my real info.
