If we'll be basing on the current situation of cryptopia, it's hard to believe that they will be back soon. How much you're expecting for their refund? much better if you will relax a bit and let the days pass because refunding will be a long process for all affected traders. If they'll not then what will happen to those fund that many people reserve in the exchange..? (I have also some altcoin in cryptopia exchange ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) ) Let the court decide and it's already on the process. The latest update they have on their website was from October 25, 2019.

My main concern is about security of my crypto wallet and also the security of the exchange account
This shouldn't be a concern for you anymore because you have grown well in cryptocurrencies and I think you're using a hardware wallet which is more effective for people that want stronger security. And as for exchange accounts, there is 2FA that you can activate for the 2nd layer security of your balance. That's why whenever someone gains access to your account, they will hardly take your balance because you have activated the 2FA feature.

Thanks for that. @op you're just making up a story and do you know that loaning requires a collateral if you don't have a reputation. This thread should be closed now.

i think you just got scammed from the clone because if someone talks to you with the admin title first usually it's a scam because IMO there is always notice for every project that Admin will never PM you first
Even it's from a clone or real telegram channel of that website, telling you to send a decent amount of Ethereum and expect a huge return is already a red flag. This is the weakness of some newbies, they are thinking that's a way of earning crypto. But these scammers are taking advantage of them, their innocence but this is a huge mistake and expensive lesson for him, let's hope that others will also learn from this and stops getting greedy with those unreal terms.

According to https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/ bitcoin died 40 times up to this date. This became a meme now and we're no longer taking it seriously when there are 'analysts' who's describing bitcoin's move into death. We became immune and used to those bashers of bitcoin who never stops telling that. So, if there will be another 'analyst' that will say it again, it's not a big thing anymore and we're no longer affected.

These coin movements are always a huge thing that the media covers. If it's confirmed that it was transferred to an exchange then that amount is considered to be sold but as mentioned.
It could just have been sent to a cold storage and the owner just want to keep it to another wallet. And due to the market fluctuations and plummeting, they're highlighting that it's part of the cause.

Nigel's correct but the growth will also give an implication on how bad it looks if most of the sectors will have their own cryptocurrencies. At the end of it, the solution would always rely to depend on a single cryptocurrency which is adopted and accepted by most.
And that would be bitcoin. It will stand firm despite of the number of its competitors. Nobody holds and controls the future of bitcoin but as satoshi's quote says it can be huge volume or no volume. Having huge volume, expect the skyrocketing and vice versa for no volume.

Dude, haven't you heard this scam before? it's obvious that they are fooling around and doesn't have the intention to return it even the slightest amount of Ethereum to you.
Never send anyone an amount that's obviously being asked to you unless you purchase a service or product to them. This is a very popular scam in the scene. And this is the reason why Vitalik's twitter account has been renamed.

It's coinmarketcap mate and most of the volumes there from unknown or known exchanges can easily modified by them. IIRC, it's the first time to see that they have these coins pump in thousands of percentage just like these. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fuau8ItR.png&t=663&c=RjFK3HXXDVj76g)

I'm having an idea on why lately there were banks in my country (not Germany) that announced the service fee they will start getting from withdrawals and deposits which was free before, maybe we're also affected.
Those options you have were the best IMO although bitcoin isn't doing well today, I think that I'm on a better choice. I don't have bonds though because I don't think that it suits my investing style.

Any reason why they stop supporting Paypal?
I think that's a normal process for them to announce that they will stop their operation starting this January 2020. 2019-11-04: IMPORTANT! End of Service: January 6, 2020. We regret to inform you that we will permanently close our service on Jan. 6, 2020.
Please make sure that you have finished your trades well before 11am Central European Time on Jan. 6, 2020. You will not be able to access your account after that time!

I've looked at onehash but they still don't have it since it's still 1 more week before the ceremony starts. I don't know what country will bring the most medals but it's exciting to see how the athletes will showcase their talents. E-sports was also included. https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Southeast_Asian_Games/2019

Bounty gambling? or it's just a representation that you're gambling with whatever bounty you'll ever come with? looking at the bounties that pays token, they are not good today. Many of them represents different projects that seem to depend on their investors so if they fail to reach even the soft cap, they'll stop.
IMO, this topic should go to the Altcoin discussion.

Virwox is also another option but I don't know if you can exchange your BTC fast.
I've used them before but it's been a long time since I've not used them but the latest news on their dashboard says they no longer supporting PayPal since January of this year. 2019-01-26: PayPal no longer supported PayPal is no longer available on VirWoX. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. And sadly, their service will end by January 6, 2020.

The tech geeks adopting crytocurrency lately does not admire the technology behind the project any more but the financial prospect that will come from it. You should wonder what Jack Dorsey is looking for in the space, as a rich tech and not creating his own cryptocurrency as well but preaching bitcoin everywhere. We have a profit of over 4x from bitcoin alone this year, which can be seen in any project or stock in a short period.
Honestly, there's a truth in what you've said. Few years ago it was all about the technology when everybody I must say tells about how great blockchain technology was but right now, it's all about the value and price of bitcoin. I think that's normal because many are aware of the potential of blockchain and it's about bitcoin alone now. And we're moving on to the mass adoption which is happening today despite of the bad look of the market lately.

I don't have any plan B or any evacuations if the market still doesn't perform good by next year. But I have already set in my mind once we see the price of bitcoin again at its cheapest, there's no need for any confirmation of buying.
Instead, I'll keep buying while I can as soon as possible. We all have the same expectations about the high prices and we have our own goals when to sell if the bull triggers again but continuous accumulation is a must.

The Chinese stable coin has already been announced to the website of Tether and it's going to be CNHT. This broke the news of crypto ban to the country years ago and this is a good progress not just for them but for the crypto as a whole.
With the moves of US gov't, we don't know if they are just playing around and soon they'll also join the adoption. But I never thought of it that they'll be left behind specially when it comes to this kind of innovation.

I think I've seen different projects that aims to have a decentralized social network but it didn't do good. People still prefer the centralized social networks because we've used to use it and it's hard to get away from it.
About decentralized platform like youtube, I think dlive suits the description of it.

I do not understand why Blocknet's name has become more popular lately. As far as I know, it has been present for a long time. Right?
Honestly, I've just heard their name recently because the most popular that I've been hearing before is always IDEX. I've used the dex personally until they started to ask about KYC. I don't know about blocknet on how long they already are. But Binance took over it easily, they have an established centralized exchange and upon building up a so called 'dex', they've easily gathered the attention of every trader that likes dexes.

Never heard of this before? although the idea is there and I think there should be one too for those folks that are dwelling too much into erc20 tokens. But I think it's all about the demand, there's not that much demand for these kind of coins.
That's why we can only see bitcoin mixers that are being made. If there will be a developer to create it, I think it would be hard for him to sustain it from the fees that he'll get because transactions that will go through a mixer, people will just pass through it to an exchange.
