561  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-21: Cyprus university accepts bitcoin payments on: November 21, 2013, 02:21:20 PM
This has taken months of hard work from my team at Neo and Dr Vlachos and his team, they are not doing this for advertising they are doing this because of the potential Bitcoin holds for the world.

We are planning a press panel in the not so distant future with the University taking part too. I wanted them to focus on announcing it for themselves, especially in relation to the masters in digital currency, as we have bigger plans and merchants to announce ourselves.

Its a big step for Bitcoin that I am genuinely happy to be a part of.

http://world.time.com/2013/11/21/university-in-cyprus-becomes-first-to-accept-bitcoin-payments/

We are proud to be working in connection with The University of Nicosia and all of their entity's this has taken months of hard work from our team, Dr Vlachos and his team to make happen.

So yes you can now become a doctor and pay for the education using your Bitcoin, whilst studying you will also be able to pay for meals and other daily expenses using Bitcoin too. The masters in Digital currency will be a large step forward for the economy too.

Updates are coming and the prospectus, our time is the most precious commodity right now, we are driving the business forward to new highs everyday, so apologies that this information isn't being released as quick as some would like.

how does the increasing BTC price relate to the ability to pay out dividends (where a promise was made priced in BTC)?

for example, if there's a big jump in price before--and stagnant market for many months after--NEO is open for business, would that make profitability in BTC terms more challenging?

No because our other services will derive income in BTC

One of the other income streams is insurance, how will that derive income in BTC as premiums will be calculated in Euros?

That is a tiny part of our other streams of revenue.

Hey Danny,

If I decided to go to Cyprus for a holiday next year will I be able to live by spending BTC only?

That is our target for Bee, we want to ensure that people can continue with their current routines and not have to use a single Euro.

Will users be able to have multiple wallets? One that holds the bulk of their savings and another to attach to their debit/bee card? So that if someone is mugged, they can't have everything stolen.

Yes you can have multiple wallets, also note the Bee card will require Biometric authentication to sign a transaction.
569  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: November 17, 2013, 05:24:53 PM

Unfortunately bitcoin businesses need fiat accounts which neo can't help with right now AFAIK, unless you're in Cyprus. I'm prepared to be wrong though.

We can't help at this moment in time, although I do have plans that could help navigate this issue for many other Bitcoin based businesses, I need to think the processes over before I reach out to others in the space about this.

Anything can be achieved!

TAT, what happen to shares on bitfunder when the holder do not request it to transfer into havelock after 1 DEC?

You will still be able to transfer them into Havelock or the direct share platform, however you will need to sign a tx from the public address held on BitFunder, TAT can elaborate further on this for you.

Posted a synopsis on reddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1qtxbn/want_to_help_develop_bitcoins_infrastructure_neo/

I'm not sure how much interest it will garner, but if it does, any help fielding questions would be nice.

I am certain we can make the headlines in the not so distant future, but thanks for taking the time to do this on Reddit

100% it will be online before that date.

Does that means that somehow the site of the company will be also "on" after this date or this one will take longer?

Websites that shall be online before that date are: The Shareholders platform (lmb-holdings.com) , Neo's customer facing site (neo.com.cy), Bee's customer facing site (bee.com.cy), Neo EasyCoin will be online and fully functional by December 31st (Full details will be released this coming week).

We take delivery on the 23rd of this month. Then the interior renovations start, on target to have that completed by 1st week of January ready for the soft opening.
573  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: North American Bitcoin Conference - Miami Beach - Jan 25 & 26th, 2014 on: November 14, 2013, 02:51:03 PM
The Amsterdam conference was great value, we made some very good connections for Neo & Bee there, we are also represented at the conference by our Chief Operating Officer.

Glad you enjoyed! Looking forward to hearing your COO.

You're always welcome to come if your schedule opens up a bit.

If my schedule opens up, I am not working hard enough before our launch. George is a great public speaker, so our presentation is in capable hands.

The shares will remain for sale on the direct platform only, with a free transfer for the amount of shares purchased into any platform we have available. The date was only set to determine if the IPVO was deemed a success or a failure, as detailed early in the thread. We shall remove the walls on the 30th November and if people want to invest directly they can do.

The dividends will only be paid on shares sold, I will not receive any dividends on my holdings until 0.0035 BTC/Share has been paid on all public shares as per the agreement.

In relation to news releases, I announce what I can without jeopardizing certain deals, once we have things nailed down we push the information out to all investors. We have many different things happening on the ground, this results in many loose ends. When they are tied you will know about it, the business world is not accustomed to working at the speed Bitcoin operates at YET.

One of our merchants are planning their own news release in advance of us doing so, because they are pushing to get the announcement in the printed WSJ.

Pages ago it was established that we do have internal shareholder lists......The BitFunder list is public data.

The individual instructions will be provided through Havelock, BitFunder and here online once the final testing has been completed on the platform.

A Google spreadsheet, is that how Twitter manage their new shareholder list? We are trying to raise standards here.

We still hold the vast majority of our IPVO funds in BTC, we will be producing a financial update in the not so distance future.

At the risk of sounding disrespectful, Twitter is trading on NYSE, with all the associated standards, oversights & regulations.

You have raised your money on an internet forum by selling unregistered securities with an "IPVO," a concept you have coined for the occasion.

Yes, using Google Docs is a laughable way of maintaining transparency for a financial institution.  Having no contingency plans or means in place to maintain said transparency is more laughable still.

I only used the Twitter case as a reference, to demonstrate that for Bitcoin to be taken seriously, some standards need to be made higher.

We have merely tried to raise standards and continue to do so. The laws are pretty clear here in Europe, if you do not transact with Government issued currency and everything is transacted within crypto-currency then there is no regulations, all of the problems have arisen from draconian practices and concerns in the US. Yesterday I had a 2 and a half hour meeting with lawyers heavily involved with CySEC and they understand the innovation happens before the regulatory framework can be created, as previously released we have been investigating launching a regulated securities exchange platform, coupled with the progress made by Havelock, the crypto related securities market has a much brighter future, with higher standards which will stand to benefit investors more than anyone else.

In a nut shell, we achieved our goals and enabled members of the Bitcoin economy have a piece of the profits, with the tools we had available to us at the time.

We are still available on a public market, we are providing further solutions that were requested for people. The fees to migrate are not received by me, they are the managing agents, at a newly reduced rate than detailed in the agreement. An agreement you had no concerns with if you invested, or did I miss the part where it is now 0.5btc per share? I know 100% that if it was 0.5btc per share to transfer I wouldnt have agreed to it.

I could always add more employees to the payroll to manage everything internally because every member of our team is working extensive hours to bring this to market with some parts ahead of schedule, reducing profitability that will reduce value for all shareholders including those that do not wish to ever move their shares.

580  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: November 08, 2013, 08:01:19 PM
Should we concentrate all of our efforts on managing sharholders migrations or should we develop a valuable business, if we were setting up something small then we wouldn't require 3rd party management services. Those who have witnessed first hand the scale of what we are bringing to market and the steps we are taking to enable the masses to use Bitcoin in their daily lives have been left astonished. We are extremely different to pretty much everything else in this section. We have also gone to extreme lengths with TAT (including him visiting Cyprus) to validate everything I claimed in the plans to be even more transparent with every aspect of our business.

We will be providing this level of transparency, coupled with a level of privacy predetermined by the shareholder themselves. If you had concerns about the lack of a platform, I am guessing you are not a shareholder.
