France however secured the next round. Yet losing this match today has shamed them. A team like France which has the best player in the world, Mbappe Griezmann Dembele. It is really surprising that their team lost 1-0 to Tunisia. First off, I think France didn't play the match with all seriousness considering the fact that the team has already qualified to the next stage and they also rested their key players for the knockout stage so that they may not be affected by injury or fatigue. Players like Mnappe, Griezmann and Dembele wouldn't have come from the bench if it was a serious match for France so I think the 1:0 loss to the African team Tunisia took nothing from them since they finished as the group leaders ahead of Australia which became the next team to join them after defeating Denmark 1:0. Although France has qualified for the next round but still they should have won this game and they should have taken it seriously. No one thought that Tunisia will win this match and France will loose these unexpected surprises are making everyone upset. |

Sri Lanka was cruising towards an easy win, but then Rashid Khan picked up the wicket of one of the well settled batsman. Even now Sri Lanka is having the upper hand, as they need just 37 runs more from 3 overs, with 4 wickets in hand. And more importantly for Sri Lanka, Rashid Khan has exhausted his quota of 10 overs (although he picked up 4 wickets). Charith Asalanka is still there, but he is running out of partners. Dunith Wellalage has so far made 6 runs from 10 balls and he is unable to rotate the strike and get Asalanka back on strike.
Sirlankan batting was outstanding today although they lost 3 wickets in early match but that didn't stop them to score runs and move forward in this match . Charith Asalnka made 83 runs which bring Srilanka to this Victory. Afghanistan no doubt played exceptionally well today batting specially and balling wise too Rashid Khan was outclass . But definitely sirlanka was better specially in bat so they won this game |

LOL.. two big upsets today. France (who are supposed to be one of the tournament favorites) got defeated by Tunisia, and then Australia managed to defeat Denmark. But despite the win today, Tunisia is out of the world cup, as Australia ended up with 6 points. Danmark had a disappointing tournament, and they finished at the last position in Group D. Till now, a total of 6 teams have qualified for the PQF stage, and these are: Netherlands, Senegal, England, United States, France and Australia. And out of these the most surprising inclusions have been that of Senegal and Australia.
Actually it's not too surprising because they really didn't make anything, moreover they played it safe by securing some of their core players because they really wanted to focus on the next phase considering they were safe. But it's a surprise for Denmark, especially since they can be said to be the favorites in this group but they have to be at the bottom of the final standings. Even though Tunisia won, they still lost in the group phase and congratulations to Australia. Another surprising day of football world cup in which our all predictions went wrong, all if us where thinking that France will win this game easily today but an upsetting defeat by Tunisia, although both played exceptionally well but Tunisia became lucky in scoring just one goal and earned their victory. Other game is Australia won against Denmark with one goal, Denmark is among favourites in this world cup but they somehow failed to perform good in entire fifa and specially in today's important match for qualifying to next round. I never believe the Netherlands will beat Qatar to qualify for the next round which is a very interesting turn out of events that really proves the unpredictability of this round of the world cup.
Most of these big countries that led before in the world cup may be pushed back this season, and if care is not taken one of the less expected countries will take the cup this year.
Why not sure? Qatar is not a strong team if not as hosts we should not see Qatar in the World Cup usually they not qualify For now I'm favorite Brazil to win they seem more prepared and France are worthy opponents in the final Besides that, I also pay attention to Morocco as the underdog so far they are playing well. I was very happy to see Senegal defeat great Ecuador today, even though I had high hopes for Ecuador before the match based on how well they had performed in their previous two matches. But fate has taken them back home today, with a shocking loss to Senegal.
South American teams are having a horrible tournament so far. Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia and Uruguay are struggling to qualify to the next stage. And now Ecuador is out as well. Arshdeep is a bad bowler and needs to be replaced in all formats while Umran is a decent bowler with a lot of potential who has sparks of Bumrah in him. Sundar is an amazing all-rounder in the ODI and T-20 formats.
India needs more bowlers like Bumrah and Sundar in my opinion. New Zealand outplayed them in the first match, but I still think that the series will end in an Indian win or draw.
Indian cricket is happy to find an effective left-arm seamer (Arshdeep) and you are talking about replacing him  He bowls tough overs in the T-20 (Death overs), he does his job beautifully and I guess he proved himself in the T-20. I believe for India he's an excellent find and could go long in LOIs. It was his 1st ODI so he'll learn for sure. Arshdeep has proved himself in the most tough and critical matches in T20WC and took most important wickets in matches against strongest teams so India had found a good ballers, look at their balling side which is affecting thier outstanding batting lineup. He will learn to settle in ODI too and prove himself here too. |

England vs USA after the full time game between these two teams, neither team could score any goals. I think these two teams are very strong in the tie, which is why there were no goals in the match. In today's match, India did not win after scoring 306 runs but New Zealand won this match very easily. After watching this match, I understand that New Zealand is very strong in batting. India scored a lot of runs in this match, but due to the weak bowling line of Bharot, India lost the match. Done. Congratulations to the New Zealand team.
India had a decent start, but they failed to accelerate in the end. Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer scored runs at a good pace, but those who came after them (Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson) wasted a lot of balls. If not for Washington Sundar's knock towards the end, India would have finished at 280-290. And the pitch was too flat and offering little support to the bowlers. Umran Malik got a couple of wickets thanks to his raw pace, but others really struggled to get going. Arshdeep Singh was the one who disappointed the most. Brilliant piece of batting by kane Willaimson 94 and Tim latham 145 , Indian ballers failed to perform infront of Newzealand batters. Although India managed to gave a good target but balling wise they couldn't stop Newzealand from making runs and after 3 early wickets they couldn't take any wicket. A good match from Newzealand. |

The ongoing match between Switzerland vs Cameroon seems to be running quite fierce. the strategy of the two teams seems to use the same attack strategy. Just 4 days have been completed, and we have a bunch of big upsets so far. First, Argentina got destroyed by Saudi Arabia and yesterday Japan managed to defeat Germany. And in both the matches the strong teams were leading by 1-0 by half-time, before the underdogs scored two goals in the second half to make the score 1-2. Today there is a chance of another upset, as Serbia is taking on the tournament favorites Brazil. Before that Portugal is playing against Ghana. The chances of any upsets today are very slim, but I am still hopeful.
Looks like team asia is now the real underdog and i also hope south korea do the same as saudi arabia and japan did. On the other hand, when talking about Portugal, I still have high hopes for Portugal, but seeing from the difficult match conditions to predict, I probably won't be too sure about that, even though the odds are still that I'm in Portugal for now. Teams from Asia are growing and developing so you can never predict their game before, let's wait for the games may be today strong teams dominates or this FIFA will follow same new pattern that world is experiencing from last 2 days. |
