Yes they have agreed to provide working capital for our brokers on any approved exchange partners however they want to focus back into investing into equities and property.

When I set it up there was four of us but there's a new Investment Manager and president its run by students from Warwick and Coventry University. When I left it had almost 180 members I know it has more then 240 today.

I actually think the NEO & MT GOX events scared them away from Bitcoin a little bit. Also their Alt portfolio was only meant to be 25% and when I was leading it increased to almost 50% because of our Crypto holdings. Since its a University fund with lots of graduates wanting to try out lots of strategies I decided to step down so i could focus on crypto ones.

Kr,

Malcolm O

Do you have their contact details? I would be interested in gaining some investment from themselves.

Is your investment club still running?
564  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitcoinBourse: the biggest scam in Bitcoin securities today on: May 09, 2014, 04:38:00 PM
I have no doubt that Mpex.co isn't a scam, but I would still not like to list there myself.

I think distributed exchanges are the way forward, with firms handling due diligence. Such a company is currently being worked on.

Dear Anotheranonlol,

Where do you advise we list then ?

Where will investors be safe ?

Kr,

Malcolm O
On the phone to you I advised Havelock, that is probably the best one going.
566  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitcoinBourse: the biggest scam in Bitcoin securities today on: May 09, 2014, 02:04:07 PM
We're listed on there, simply to give anyone who want to buy some choice.

I have already brought up most of these issues with the guy who runs it, in particular the lack of historical trade data and the companies he puts on there.

I don't think he's a scammer, but we're not pushing the site either. We'd rather people use CounterParty.

Da fuq is wrong with you, son? Investors don't want a choice of exchanges, they just want to be able to buy and trade on an exchange that isn't a blatant scam and could disappear at any moment with their funds. Choosing to list with BitcoinBourse hurts your credibility more than it hurts them.
The other exchange is counterparty. Some people dislike the fact it is decentralized.

BitcoinBourse is not even listed in our investment prospectus, we just tell people if they say they don't want to use counterparty.

Opinion on usage of .io vs .co.uk?

I prefer .co.uk in how it looks and sounds, however .io is better for google rankings.

Use co.uk, because it looks and sounds better. Dot IO sounds dodgy.

Also, while Blackcoin might not be particularly exciting: POS is on a roll lately. Don't miss the bus.

And good luck with the endaveour.

.IO is currently quite popular in the technology aware space.

I imagine we will use both in the end.

Also tomorrow we are going to be showing our two designs, you guys can choose which one we go for.

Called out of curiosity as some of the numbers dumbfounded me.

The post could have been better explained (I believe they are about to update it) however what I can confirm is that the business plan is viable and they do know about appropriate regulations. I can't comment much more on it however that much I can say confidently.

Accept Blackcoin (BC), very high trade volume Wink
Fits under the same category as Litecoin and Quark

Do you really know anything about altcoins? Do you know anything about BlackCoin? Do you know what Proof of Stake is?
Which "high street bank" are you partnered with?
We're not willing to disclose who yet, as it is one of our biggest advantages. Obviously that leaves you with a narrow selection still.

Yes, I know what BlackCoin is, and I don't see it as a particularly exciting coin.

574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinOpend: a Cryptocurrency exchange which has stolen over $200,000 on: May 06, 2014, 12:15:04 AM
That is almost magnificent.

They used the same deposit address, and made almost no effort yet they get $200,000.

575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: future-proofing the storage of 140+ years of blocks has been solved by Sony on: May 06, 2014, 12:09:43 AM
The read/write (and seek times, even more so) for tape storage systems are abysmal. They are useful for backup only.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Sign on: May 05, 2014, 11:47:27 PM

also just a hint.

if you go to this secret and very unknown website (please dont tell anyone) and search "bitcoin symbol". you will find alot more bitcoin signs
http://images.google.com

Lol, I did, I'm searching for alterior bitcoin logos, that aren't just gold or orange or yellow, but couldn't find much.

you do realise you can make your own right? none of these are trademarked or officially branded. so if you don't like them, which i presume you want something different. you can always make your own.
Mark Karpeles owns the trademark 'Bitcoin'
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Eve Online's economist thinks bitcoin could be a scam on: May 05, 2014, 10:48:14 PM
wise words. some might say "but it's open source". the recent asiacoin scam tells us a different story: nobody checked the code.
Yes, Asiacoin. Not bitcoin as if in that coin which is currently peaking global interest from large firms and individuals alike.

New information about benefits to investors.

Those who buy 1BTC+ shares will not get any fees, those who have a single share (non fractional) will get 50% less fees.
579  Economy / Securities / Re: Havelock, Cryptostocks and whats more? on: May 05, 2014, 12:21:28 AM
Counterparty This is a blockchain based system, as opposed to a centralized system.

And a new one

BitcoinBourse

Good news.

We now only need to raise £3,500 to complete software development (make the already produced system pretty) thanks to our third party developers (no, not Indian) asking for an almost all share payment.

Reduced the price back down to 0.008btc per share.
