561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO LIVE] Inchain - insurance for the crypto economy on: November 14, 2016, 03:50:40 PM
I don't know if it was answered already or not but I would like to know the fate of this ICO in case you don't achieve your targeted money will this be carried on with available funds or it will be canceled ? I am interested to know this part as the target is seeming hard to be met in such little time.

If Inchain will not raise enough then will full refund.
how about a bounty signatur campaign fb, twitter etc ? y :Dou pay or ... ?

All the Bounty is to be paid in INC.
If enough are not raised, INC would not be deployed. Which means no Bounty at all.

This question been answered several times Sergey. : Cheesy

ok so i been promoting for almost months and if the project fail and i got paid nothing? :/ can't they just distribute the tokens for bounties as i heard they said they will continue their project?

Anyhow, do you think i should keep it for 9 more days or skip to other project?

Thanks

They said that if they don't get enough funds, they won't deploy tokens. They would still work on the project without the tokens.
So there would be tokens at all, so it makes no sense to give bounties.

If you have done it for months, keep doing it. Maybe on last day, I reaches threshold. However, chances are low. But if it happens, you would get high rewards. Since there are very less number of people participating in campaign.

Try your best to gather more investors !
Now, it's a challenge for Bounty hunters drive more investors, it they want rewards.

Nice 80%

it's only 20% left. Smiley

It's on 80 % since 2 days.
Investments were high on the fist day. Just because of Lisk blockchain issue Angry

After 10 days we can hope to see a large number investments.
Inchain ico was aiming achieve$1.75 . There is high probability that they get refund. They will soon come here to invest there money.

Also, investments from Iconomi would bring big investments and boost the project.

^^^^  seems my post above was placed inside the quote.

"Thanks for posting that.  I will definitely need to have a few btc set aside for when the performance fund is offered to ICO participants."

that is if they will not reach the limit. there are lots of investors waiting to get into it, wanting to be a big player. If I have the btc, i'd be the first even if not invited. but just in case, its a good thing to have btc ready.
Till now they Only spend 5000 eth of the performance fund. There is still lot ICO fund performance fund still left.
We have got about a month to ready with Bitcoins to invest in performance fund.

Also, I read somewhere on reddit that you can invest directly with ICN  in the funds.

Did anyone of you participate in the beta testing of performance fund? ( There was a form to be filled for testing)

565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 14, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
I would keep using it  Cool
But I would secure my connection with Tor, so that I'm safe from government tracking.

Also i would file a petition to remove such law. All users of Bitcoin will be encouraged to support it.
And it would be called the Bitcoin Movement. Grin

However, I'm sure such law cannot be introduced in my country. A senior official in our country said that they have no plans to regulate Bitcoin.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: November 14, 2016, 12:53:07 PM
I read that Performance Bond was released on friday? Why didn't we get invitation? I am fine to get Dividends, but want to invest in Performance Bond which probably gets much more profit.

They've released it but it's not open for public yet. Consider it to be in a beta testing phase
nothing like a beta testing phase. Real money was invested into Golem ICO.
The reason ICNP is not open for public (first ICO participant, and then to the public) is because they still have ~4.5M usd in the funds

but I'm ICO participant....and no invitation....they make money with the fund already... so I want to be part of it.

if you hold ICN you ARE already part of it.

Actually, we investors are indirectly investing in performance fund. Iconomi has investments made in performance fund (about four million dollar). And we own Iconomi.

But the difference is, we would only get about 20 share of profit made by fund. The remaining would again be put in performance funds.
So, the actual investors of performance fund would get more than us.

No one has got invitation to till now. I think, they are first putting the ico money (which was reserved for it) to performance fund and they would later invite us.

Anyhow, you can ask you questions tomorrow at AMA.
567  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with HashFlare on: November 14, 2016, 12:41:21 PM
Hi, I'm new here. Just need some favor from you guys. I want to do some calculation here, for 100MH/s scrypt mining, at this moment, how much btc can i get for daily basis? Please help. Then, is it scrypt more stable than sha256? Thank You.

For 100 mhs you get 0.003728 btc daily after deducting maintenance costs
(Based on current payouts)

Sha payouts are volatile due to the increasing difficulty.
And, Scrypt payouts are volatile due to fluctuations in btc / ltc exchange rate.
Overall, scrypt seems to be more stable

Thanks bro. So the ROI should be around 10 months right? If I set to reinvest automatically, the ROI should be earlier. Is this true?

It was very easy to code that. It took only 20 minutes.

According to current situations, for 100 mhs, do not reinvest if you want roi in minimum time. That is would take 375 days to achieve roi.

Now, if your goal is not about achieving roi ,
Suppose you buy 100 mhs today and have decided that you will withdraw your funds 2 years later.
So till which date to reinvest? It means you have to maximize your earnings in a fixed period .

If you do not reinvest at all you get
2.72144 btc

If you reinvest till day 354(calculated using my program) , you get 3.58196 btc

So this is the difference my coffee could make , we can come to know the best strategy for our investment.

note: the day till you have to to get maximum returns depends  the purchased  mhs.
All these calculations, done on current difficulty, maintenance fees, exchange rates.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2016, 11:14:26 AM
After the genesis of Bitcoin in 2009, several currencies have popped up with different concept, much better technology, speed and privacy. But these hundred of currencies have just managed to lower btc dominance from 100% to 83%.
Each year some currency becomes famous, people say they that it will be next Bitcoin. Still Bitcoin dominance isn't affected.

Take example of Ethereum, much better than Bitcoin technology. But still it's very small in front of Bitcoin.

There are high chances that Bitcoin gets replacement, if some continued attacks start on Bitcoin.
569  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: November 14, 2016, 09:16:08 AM
You can mine.
Depends... Where you live, power cost, cooling cost (if any), equipment costs.

I doubt if mining would be profitable unless the electricity costs are low, climate is cool, and you can bear the noise Tongue

But as he said that wants to earn a Bitcoin  in two months, mining won't be helpful. Mining would give you roi in a year or more .

Instead, trading currencies would give you better returns.

But if you don't want to waste your time daily, mining would pay you in long run and won't require much skill.

No, if you purchase right now, you get roi  in 12 months (considering current situation).
But, there are some factors that  should also be considered like currently btc rate is high, it will soon decrease. I only make purchases on Hashflare when I see a discount of 10-20 percent.

If you consider these two things, you can expect roi  9-10 months.

No, don't automatic reinvest. With reinvest option you will not be able to catch the discounts.

Wait, I'll post here best strategy (till when to reinvest) in a day or two.
Note: I would write a program which will do that, just to practice coding and help others and myself too.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Incent: The first universal, merchant-backed loyalty platform on: November 14, 2016, 08:16:39 AM
While making purchase, it is important that currency is not volatile.
If a person purchased a good of $ 10 and receives $1 worth tokens at that time.
He goes to another shop after one year, and he finds out that tokens are now worth $0.5 only. This would not be good for customers as they would be at ri?sk fictions price.

So how would you prevent such situation?
Correct me if I'm wrong somewhere in my assumptions.

Incent is designed to increase in value simply by bringing in more and more merchants. This is what we will be working at the most after the end of ICO. Nevertheless, there might be periods in which Incent decreases, as any other currency/asset.

More importantly, however, is the fact that he received 0.5$ spendable in the whole Incent network. We are sure customers will soon appreciate the advantages open value offers them and rate this more important than having lost parts of their reward.

As of now, loyalty points can only be redeemed with the issuer and only then for a finite period. Once live, Incent will be redeemable anywhere, forever. To the holder, they will be 'money good'. This is, to use Peter Thiel's vernacular, a 10x improvement.

Blockchain makes this possible, through creation of token of finite supply aimed at this specific function.

Our thesis is that consumers will love this (open) value proposition and because Incent incurs a fraction of the operating costs and liability of conventional schemes - so will merchants.

The result will be regular and building demand for the token on the secondary market, as more and more merchants adopt - with the associated impact on token price.

Put another way, while the scenario you envisage is theoretically feasible, we deem it highly unlikely. And bear in mind that any conventional loyalty point is worthless - by design - at the one year point. Viewed from this perspective even 50 cents on the dollar is a significant improvement on the current status-quo.

In the meantime, the value proposition for holders of Incent (as a speculative investment) is similarly strong, as the project will see mainstream commerce paying to put crypto into the wallets of mainstream consumers. Every single transaction from every single participating merchant will result in a new demand impulse for Incent on the secondary market.

RW.

I agree that price of incent tokens would increase . It was just an assumption, if price of incent falls.

I agree, current loyalty system is inefficient. But still, many people may not be ready for it, anyhow they will soon adapt.

Still, I hope the incent token price would stable after the initial rise.

One question,
Transactions would go through blockchain, so it would require confirmations.
So, would the customer have to wait for a minute for confirmation transaction
572  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: November 14, 2016, 01:59:36 AM
Bitcoin is a decentralised system. The users have the power. But still there is a foundation team that makes the changes to code if necessary.

Or , did you mean Does China control the price of Bitcoin?
Yes, to some extent, many fluctuations are believed to arrive due to China.

Hi, I am looking for a way to earn some money without invest(because I am broke), I can dedicate 2 hours a day in that. what can I do to make a bitcoin per month without any investment?
I think it is impossible to get 1 BTC per month and without investment and even you can't do hardwork more than  2 hours .
I will suggest you to collect some BTC and then make a faucet site anf through advertising you will get above of 1 BTC per Month .
I'm surely nowadays few number of a faucet site owners can gain bellow one Bitcoin per moth.

after adsense bans, bots and ad-blockers have ruined this business already.

No, they still cam easily earn 1 btc in a month.
Faucet owners never go into loss, all the faucet money given ad earnings. They keep some percentage of money earned with and distribute the rest.
Many, put on Anti ad blockers. Many use fixed rate static banner which are not blocked by ad blockers.

But it's difficult to the faucets to gain users in a month or two. And again it would require web development skills.

If you participated in the newsletter or signature bounty it's time to dust off your referral URL's

https://blog.wings.ai/introducing-the-wings-dao-referral-program-72893965e176#.g4ef7df2c

thanks for everyone who's been helping and contributing!

So to simplify it, we would get atleast 1 percent of the investment made by the referred investor.

Nice move, it would help gain wings more investors.

Some question,
Are you attending any meeting of crypto community?

Are three any plans of partnering with Iconomi?

I hope that the second investment - in WINGS DAO  Smiley

https://mobile.twitter.com/iconominet/status/779252957225193472

It looks very interesting but somehow complicated. Maybe a bit too soon for that?
The WP is too long, and I didn't find timeline and road map.

Look at the caption below the image on Twitter. It says , looking forward to work with them.
So there is high probability that they partner. I remember, they uploaded a pic with Mew and kraken teams, and see mew and kraken listed icn on wallet and exchange respectively.
Wings could partner with Iconomi the investment of performance fund. Wings launched Daos and Iconomi invested in eligible icos.

I don't think they would invest in ico of wings, rather they will invest in Daos later on.

UPDATE:

ICO 2.0 — the ideal ICO?

At ICONOMI, we believe that we need to find a way that will enable entrepreneurs to focus on business and development, while providing a level of evaluation and investor protection. Right now, the world of ICOs is a beautiful chaos — but if we want to move the blockchain community towards the mass market and encourage new investment from more traditional investors, it’s time to grow up — at least a bit Smiley

We, the ICO investor community, should define basic standards and build best practices. This will help more projects to succeed, investors to profit and the ecosystem as a whole to improve.

Our team is working hard on addressing these challenges, but we would love to hear your thoughts, too!

Read more: https://medium.com/iconominet/ico-2-0-what-is-the-ideal-ico-ee9d285a8939

Here is my suggestion,
After the ico ends you should have a plan to exchange out the investments.
So if you invest in Company X, Ico, you exchange the coins/tokens at regular intervals. (whenever the piece of token is ico price )
So let's take an example, you got 1000 coins from Ico at 1 btc. Just after release you exchange 100 tokens to btc. Then in another 20 days you exchange another 100.

By this way, you would reduce the risk of huge loss if price some time falls. Also, it would insure regular
 income stream.

Edit: your second post of performance fund posted is giving me 404 error

579  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: November 13, 2016, 07:13:49 AM
It is possible. Cheesy

Follow these steps and you can achieve your goal-
1. Find some really good paying faucets, small tasks.
2. Bookmark those sites, or maybe you could make your own rotator
3. Dont waste your time finding new faucets.

According to me, after following these three steps you would get about 0.001 btc  in a week.
That amount would not be a big contribution to your earnings.

So the main thing,  while browsing those faucet, try to learn the working of faucets, working Bitcoin transactions, etc.

4. Write a blog about Bitcoin faucets, Bitcoin working, etc.
5. Now, there are many ICO going on for the genesis of new coins like Bitcoin. You have a Bitcointalk account. Learn about those Ico and the idea behind the coin. Ask the founders, if you have questions btt.
Now that you have understood the coin, try promote it and gain some bounties.

6. While you are making posts on btt, put a signature to get side income of Bitcoins.

Do this for 2 weeks, you get around  0.07 btc. (Earnings from Ico not counted, as get them after the ico ends)

7. Now head on to freelancing sites. If you have some skills, try to find a matching job. Example- excel data entry, write paid articles,  geurilla advertising, etc.
8. While doing this , continue to use btt for all following weeks.

Buy Hash power at cloud mining websites ( a bit risky).  Get the regular payouts till the end of 2 months and then sell your Hash power (you can use hashflare this, they allow selling of Hash rate for lifetime contacts)

Do this for 2 weeks, you will own about 0.3 btc in total till now.

9. Learn about trading currencies. Although it requires some skills, but many times it easy to predict market.
Normally,  if Devs of a coin attend a meeting/ summit , price increases. If there is some hack price falls. Buy low, sell high.
10. Continue doing freelancing jobs and using btt.

Continue these steps till the end .
Claim the bounties of ICO.

Now you would have earned 1 btc the end of 2 months.

Note: if you you already know about Bitcoin you can skip 1-3 steps.

Disclaimer: it is your money, make decisions after doing your own research. I cannot gaurantee 1 btc at end of the period. Your earnings largely depend on your skills and time management.

Well, the best method as suggested by someone some posts ago, Find a job in real world. It normally pays more for the same amount of work.
580  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help me choose a bitcoin wallet. on: November 12, 2016, 03:46:56 PM
I was recommending use of online wallet as-
1. He can directly but, sell Bitcoins there
The two online wallets you mentioned has very specific policies regarding transactions related to gambling. If they see any transactions that involves a gambling site, they may close your account without any notice.
If I'm right, Xapo is based in Switzerland. So, it does not restrict gambling transactions.
But yes, you are right for Coinbase(US based), it has closed several accounts for gambling site transactions.

2. He is new to it
4. I feel online wallets are easier to understand. There are support sections.
How hard is it to find the send and receive button? Online wallets are not any better in terms of UI. And this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=99.0
http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html

Personally, I feel UI of Online wallets is good.

3. He is only willing to use it for a specific thing. ( Maybe to be used only for done days). So why download the application.
I'm not sure how hard it is to take 2 minutes to install a program as opposed to creating the account in 5 minutes. Desktop wallets gives you a lot more privacy and security.
Yes, you are correct that it can take more time for setting up online wallet.
But security isn't a concern of online wallets.(Only concern is the wallet company scams;  Coinbase Xapo are trusted) We have an option to set 2FA + password. Also, while making any transaction, your IP would not be revealed at the blockchain.

6. It would be easier to remember passwords of Coinbase or Xapo.
Does anyone still memorise their private keys?
NO, I'm not telling about memorising the key.
He may misplace his private key.

Yes, but that's not a big point.
