561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: March 21, 2019, 07:44:04 AM
Guys, how do you think, is a ready-made product important for ICO project?

In my opinion, it is, because it can show investors that the team is ready to bring huge results and has future plans.

As an example - KickCity, event platform where each user is rewarded for event promotion. You can try it today. More information you can find here  https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/kickcity-public-beta-5aa66fafc5c7

It is more important about how is the products going to be mass adopted and used by other peoples.
A good marketing strategy will be needed to reach peoples so they know about the product.
That should be the aim of success ICO after their conclude the main sale.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money off cryptocurrency? on: March 21, 2019, 07:21:42 AM
I have been reading about exchanging sites. all of them have people who lost their money due to hacks, or investors got their accounts closed, frozen (Coindesk) without proper explanations, usually exchange sites let them deposit money, but they don't let them withdraw their money. No customer support.

How do you make money of cryptocurrency when the exchange sites are predators to hunt people's money? Decentralized trade sites maybe? If I read positive reviews about these centralized exchange sites , they doesn't seem genuine at all, most of the time, it looks like someone ordered them from Fiverr. Binance, Bitfinex with the Tether fiasco, Coinmama.... All of them looks like scummy attempt to get your money.

Not all exchanges are unsafe, top exchanges should have top security on their exchange platform.
You still can make money with cryptocurrency if you careful using your coin in trusted exchange. Using decentralized exchange is not bad, but you
need extra careful to not getting phished by hackers.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC should be for big whales on: March 20, 2019, 04:53:26 AM
I'm here today to drop my own point about how KYC should be use
- KYC requirement for bounties and airdrops is so unreasonable ,KYC implementation is no doubt a good idea but it should be forced only on big investors that wants to buy large amount of a token either From Exchanges
- there should be limit for KYC requirements e.g like if an investor wants to buy 10,000$ worths of tokens upward then he or she must go through KYC ,just saying

It is still understandable if KYC required for hunters because usually hunters can get quite much token too.
But it won't be acceptable if you must submit KYC documents just for participating in airdrops.
we just need to avoid airdrops that requiring KYC for its participants.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: March 20, 2019, 04:45:53 AM
Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? I guess no, because all of them excluding tether are following bitcoin price chart.  I mean if bitcoin is going up or down, altcoins are doing same. (Tether is connected to US dollar rate and used mainly for arbitrage trading purposes) So do we really need altcoins? Regarding platforms, only ethereum is mainly used, and mostly for creating ERC tokens. All others, like waves, neo, etc are used very rarely. Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. For communication he used 3 level protected VPN and was accepting payments only in monero) https://www.wired.com/story/monero-privacy/ You can read about dark web here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/dark-web-3593569/ days. The main question is: Do we really need altcoins? Or Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are enough for crypto comunity this days?

Although many altcoins created for speculation purposes, we just need to avoid using them.
They will die eventually, and become not worth anymore in the market.
We need altcoins, but not all of the existing altcoins. Just using the altcoins that have a real function.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: less interest of investors to buy ICO on: March 20, 2019, 03:49:10 AM
now i see how many days ico appears and the result is a kind of war between ico to attract investors.
whereas I see that pre-sales to the public, ico are hardly in accordance with their targets, even to touch soft caps, it's very difficult.

Do you think that mastah caused ico not to be expected?

Because many investors lost their money, lot of money in dead and scam ICOs from last year.
And the market condition is not getting better, makes peoples left cryptocurrency.
Now, only the real and solid ICO project will be success to raised enough funds.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find out a legit ICO? on: March 20, 2019, 03:34:23 AM
Suppose if there are a number of ICOs started for different coins by anonymous developers then how can we find that which one the legit ICO and which one is scam ICO?

Just avoid to investing in anonymous ICO team, better safe than sorry my friend.
Deep research about the ICO company is required to know if they are real or scam.
So, the important thing is about the time, you must have enough time to analyze the ICO to avoid fraud projects.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now or never! on: March 20, 2019, 03:26:43 AM
It will be very difficult to dump the market further(it is possible, but it will be very difficult and dangerous), because the miners are already working at a loss on some coins, like ethereum. Bitcoin almost fell to mining cost price, so, i think, it worth to start to buy now.

Bitcoin price already gone to the bottom since Dec 2018, it was about $3400 per coin.
now bitcoin value has increasing slowly, but i think we still can buy it now and make profit later because the price is not too high.

569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FIGHTING AGAINST ICO SCAM on: March 17, 2019, 02:04:27 PM
2018 WAS A TERRIBLE YEAR BOTH FOR HUNTERS AND INVESTORS TOO MANY SCAMS AND FRAUDULENT TACTICS USED BY CHILDREN CLAIMING TO HAVE SOME IDEA WHICH THEY NEED A FUND RAISER FOR...

As a bounty hunter.. the worse thing that can ever happen to you in the crypto space.. is promoting a scam ico unknowing to you it's a fraudulent company

I AM CREATING THIS THREAD TO HELP SPREED THE AWARENESS OF FRAUDULENT PROJECTS WASTING OUR PRECIOUS TIME AND STEALING THE HARD EARNED MONEY OF INVESTORS..

PLS KINDLY PUT DOWN THE NAME OF ANY COMPANY YOU THINK ITS SCAM AND NOT WORTH INVESTING ON AND GIVE REASON WHY IT SHOULDN'T BE TRUSTED
..

THIS WILL HELP BRING BACK THE TRUST WE ONCE HAD IN THE CRYPTO SPACE AND MAY ALSO GIVE LEGIT ICOS  THE CHANCE TO RAISE ENOUGH MONEY AND KICK START THEIR PRODUCT

Actually there are some users that keep this forum clear from scam ICOs, one of them i know is ICOEthics.
He is very good to busting many scam ICOs in this forum, which is good to protect the investors.
Despite many ICOs are not genuine, there are still some ICO worth to participate.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: March 17, 2019, 01:49:20 PM
It is a fact that many coins created by scam developers who selling it and run with the money.
We must careful and do our own research so we can't getting scammed when choosing what coins to buy.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Should I Expect The Next Bull Run? on: March 16, 2019, 03:09:13 PM
I got into Crypto July 2017 , as newbie i was much afraid so i never took the risk so 2017 bull run pass over me .. 2018 the expectation was really high  so i took the risk but things fall apart .. I invested $5000 in Altcoins last year but right its  worth  less than $400 ..  I know one  day there is going to be another bull  run .. Should i expect the bull run this year or i should  expect it in three years time  !!

Investing in cryptocurrency is risky, that is because the cryptocurrency have a volatile price in the market.
From 2017 when bull run, to 2018 when the bearish market came, the price has changed drastically.
If you want to wait the next bull run, i think you will have to wait quite long because the sign of bull market is not showing.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: March 16, 2019, 02:59:03 PM
At the time of the listing after the end of ICO, the price often dumps. Why does it happen?
I think the reason is there is no buyer because of no demand for tokens since the ecosystem is not completed after the ICO.
It may be difficult because lack of funds, but I think the team should release a product like Dapps while running ICO to make token demand.
How do you think about it?

It is usually happening, the price of the token after listing in some exchanges, will be drop or even dumps.
There are some factors, it is either the hunters selling their token, or the ICO investors lose interest about the project,
and selling their coins once they listed in some exchanges.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) on: March 16, 2019, 02:46:46 PM
With recent happenings in crypto currency regarding token sale,
i think icos are beginning to find their feet because binance conducting the crowdfunding event for BitTorrent and Fetch.AI has raised the hyped again.

And now, Bittrex has also announced a crowdfunding event too, an IEO,

so can you give your opinion on whether IEO or ICO will survive on the long run

Well, it is actually a good thing because with this, the investors of crypto will feel safe if they participate on ICO in trusted platform like Binance.
It was because there were many scam ICOs, so ICO now having a difficulties to gain investors trust.
574  Other / Archival / Re: What's your all time favorite cryptocoin? on: March 16, 2019, 02:28:30 PM
Up to now, what is your #1 favorite cryptocoin, and why?

If you have a hard time to choose just one, please feel free to post your top 3.

Personally, Bitcoin has always had and will always have a very special place for being the first to get me into the space.

On top of that I like and support several coins of which at the moment my favorite is Tezos (XTZ).

My favorite coin is Litecoin, it is really awesome for a coin to be able rising its value in surpassing other coins.
Therefore, litecoin is one of my holding coin and i hope the value will keep increasing.
This is because litecoin have some product that can be used by many peoples on their phone.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins daily.. How do they do it? on: March 15, 2019, 04:18:13 AM
If you go to www.coinmarketcap.com/new/ , you will see that there are new coins added EVERYDAY..
and they have a decent market cap worth 1000's of dollars..
How do people just make there own coins that easy? and how are they raising so much money??
i mean like, whats stopping a normal person like me, doing the same thing.. just making a random coin and making thousands of dollars??
this is so stupid.. what is the need for all these useless coins?? when is it gonna stop?

I think the listed coin in coinmarketcap.com is not a new coin, thats why they already have marketcap.
A coin that just have been created won't have value, they need to create the project to gain value from others.
And if peoples trust the coin, they will buy the coin to support the project.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are the best..!! on: March 15, 2019, 03:58:02 AM
how many of u agree that the altcoins are the best .......
bcoz it is faster ...it can be used for faster transaction and even the transaction fee is also comparatively less
and even buying an altcoin is cheaper and u can buy more coins ..and earn more profits ...but the coin u choose must be good coin Cool

There are many altcoins, which altcoins are the best for you ?
Maybe you prefer to use altcoin than bitcoin, but the popularity of altcoin is no more than bitcoin popularity.
Actually, bitcoin transaction can be faster too, using lightning network.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one is using dapps on: March 14, 2019, 03:58:10 AM
ETH is a solution to a problem which doesn't exist.

dApps need a centralized entity which is going to be a bridge between the reality and the dApps and if you need a centralized entity, why the fuck we need dApps in the first place?

That's why Eth is a pump&dump shitcoin. Nothing more.

In some decentralized games apps, you can sell your premium item ( the item you buy from developer ) to other users using blockchain.
You won't be able to do this in the centralized game, usually the game developers will prohibit you to sell premium items to other users, thus you cannot sell it back.
And because using decentralized apps, users can freely trading their items to other users without 3rd party or developer.
This is only one of the advantages if we using decentralized app.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you dreaming to launch your own coin? on: March 14, 2019, 03:26:58 AM
Are you dreaming to launch your own coin and ICO?

How would your project look like? Which problems would be solved?
How would you call it and which abbrevation? (like Bitcoin (BTC))

Would you do a big Bounty and Airdrop to make your project famous?

I'm curious about your plans of creating a new ICO project and your own coin.  Smiley Smiley

It would be great if i had my own coin, created to be used by many peoples in the world.
But if we just creating the coin alone, it won't be used unless the coin have a full function and advantages over other coins.
The hard thing is to make a project in your coin, and adopted by many peoples. That's why many coins dead.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO still have huge chance of surviving on: March 13, 2019, 02:16:25 AM
After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.

It is surviving, although only few ICO's are. If you know Binance launchpad, you will know there are many investors still willing to
invest on ICO there. It was sold in a short time only. We can learn that investors are want to invest their money, but they
prefer to using a reliable and trusted platform to avoid scam ICOs in this bear market.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: March 11, 2019, 02:17:03 AM
How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?

Usually it will lasting for few months or until the hard cap is reached, but not forever of course.
ICO without time limit will discourage investors who want to participating in the ICO sale.
This is because they cannot predict and know about when they can earn the Return of their investment.
