561  Other / Meta / Re: 1 Merit per successfully reported post? on: June 04, 2018, 06:06:02 PM
Let me give an example :
I will create a new account called invoking_v2 which will spam the forum and I will keep reporting each shitpost i will make.

You can imagine how merit farming will be the new trend (in addition to post farming)

Edit : lock plox.
562  Other / Meta / Re: Bug report. Error during report a post to moderator. on: June 04, 2018, 09:18:20 AM
Make a new topic and report a post can't be related. So during report a post this massage should not be appears here. It should be appears during make a new topic.

I think there is bug error and need to fixed it.

Afaik, creating a new topic or making a new post or sending a private message or reporting a post are all related and you have to wait a specific time (depends from your rank) between each action.

564  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 03, 2018, 09:22:56 PM
This is a Bitcoin forum, not a fiat forum. If someone is being mislead by prices being given in Bitcoin, or feels mislead by it, should not call himself a bitcoin enthusiast and either educate himself so that he no longer feels mislead, or look for another hobby.

What you said is true and it was already said by the people you quoted hundreds of time, so don't think that they aren't aware of this.
You didn't pay attention about the main reason why this topic was created. In fact theymos called for it essentially for external investors who don't have forum accounts and who may deal with other coins in addition to BTC, that's why an email was added for example.
565  Other / Meta / Dedicated altcoin sub on the creation of new local board + report of many topics on: June 03, 2018, 08:55:11 PM
Well, i wouldn't create this topic at all but couldn't find a place to post it without being off-topic nor spam furthermore the inbox of staff.

When I was visiting some local sub, I find always ANN/ICO/airdrop/altcoin related stuff in the main page although they aren't that much and generally the dedicated mod move or delete it after being reported (well apart from topics with referral links which aren't spotted often).
However, in Skandinavisk and the Hebrew boards which don't have a dedicated altcoins sub (and which happens to be not that active btw) i found 10-15 altcoin topics in the first page of each. Afaik these topics aren't allowed in these boards since they don't have altcoin sub.

Consider this post as a massive report of these topics + what i wrote in the title + also i would know if it is fine to report topics containing referral links even if it is old and has many posts? (will it be deleted?)
566  Other / Meta / Re: KYC at Bitcoin talk account in place of various bounty manager? on: June 03, 2018, 08:20:02 PM
I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

Aww, it appears that you didn't read the previous replies QS, which isn't your attitude generally. Too busy tho Wink
567  Other / Meta / Re: There is some slide line in services section. on: June 03, 2018, 05:20:13 PM
Although your topic is the first but I will ask you to lock it since what you are looking for was discussed here :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4413384.0
(will not use the report function)
568  Other / Meta / Re: Posting as an audio file on: June 03, 2018, 05:10:26 PM
Preventive and Social med isn't the best thing someone studied but what I found interesting is this image (similar to this exactly / written in french but it is easy to understand)
https://i.pinimg.com/736x/75/6a/54/756a54f54269e54b33659cde7a420767--menu-selon.jpg
If anyone want to see others learning from him then better to avoid long texts and use audiovisual materials. This may help.

Edit : that's the main difference between us. 1 picture (media in general) could say what a long boring text could not.
569  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 03, 2018, 04:52:41 PM
the most held at once is a much better indicator here.

This one.
And it should be displayed with USD at the moment the amount was held by the manager.
100 BTC +4 years ago are less than 3 BTC nowadays.
570  Other / Meta / Re: KYC at Bitcoin talk account in place of various bounty manager? on: June 03, 2018, 04:40:29 PM
And as our lovely poet said once here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3097811 :
I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.
The problem that the hell gets warmer with our sins Undecided

Read the post, there is no image, reload it again... some images appear, reload it again...other ones appear!
Other possibility is to check manually the links after quoting the text to extract it. This suppose that you are aware of the presence of images...
Cloudflare? and ip.bitcointalk.org broke my life too Undecided
572  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 03, 2018, 02:24:22 PM
-snip-

Check the image again and change the number 4 to 2, normally you will see then the correct default trust rating (and let's try to stay on topic Wink).

I am a bit confused as to what the moderators actually desire most times, recently a friend was banned from posting messages even though he never posting an off-topic. So what are the things that can make someone get banned, and how does one get response to appeals? My friend is a newbie just like me.

This topic contains the unofficial rules of bitcointalk so read it to understand what is not allowed : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Your friend may be caught doing plagiarism (copying and pasting texts from the Internet as it is in his posts here).
Your friend can create a topic in "meta" (only in meta or else he will be perma banned if he posts elsewhere) and he can ask about the reason for the ban. Generally he will get the answer there.

Edit: Today, May 11, 2021.
After reviewing the case and verifying claims about quoting a hacked account using a randomly generated address that should no longer be accepted in signing messages as was presented in this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5300127.0, I decided to edit this post and thus, the barred lines could no longer be used to prove anything related to Martin958 account. The original owner seems to recover his account and this message https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg56979834#msg56979834 should be used for verifying and recovery purposes until further notice from its owner.

Nice work. The default trust appears to be good solution to rate them although for Lauda it will be a negative point especially if the person who is willing to hire them hasn't a forum account.
I would recommend an asterisk for lauda instead of showing his DT and add comments on the text about it. (that's my opinion ofc)

What any Newbe member can Post on  "Bounties (Altcoins)" Forum?

The manager make a topic there about his bounty and people join what it seems interesting for them.
You can join the translation campaign or an airdrop or signature, twitter, telegram, Facebook campaigns... There is generally a form to follow...take a look on the topics there.

578  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-02] Visa Card Payments Failing, Highlighting Need for Decentralized Opt on: June 03, 2018, 10:43:54 AM
For the first time i should say that this topic doesn't belong to the press section but to off-topic +/- Bitcoin discussion.
It doesn't have anything to do with Bitcoin nor cryptocurrencies, but it rises a discussion about the benefits of crypto basing on the failure of credit cards...
I already reported the same topic hours ago and it was deleted so I will ask you sncc to move it to another place for discussion.

I disagree. This highlights the fact that competing payment options are experiencing problems too, so it is not just Bitcoin that went through scaling problems. It also highlights the flaws in centralized networks. This also gives Bitcoiners ammunition against all these Fiat shills that these payment options are not infallible.

There is definitely a need for us to announce these failures to all Bitcoiners, because they are our competition.  Wink What do people use, if their primary payment network fails? Bitcoin gives them a alternate payment option, when this happens.  Grin

Against what exactly? I asked OP to move the topic to the Bitcoin discussion (for example) since it fits better there, we can continue the discussion there.
The press section is for news directly related to bitcoin, some mods refuse even to see even other cryptocurrencies news here...
579  Other / Meta / Re: Ukrainian local board on: June 03, 2018, 10:37:04 AM
First, Crimea is no longer Ukraine: (
Secondly, I support this idea. I'm from Ukraine, and I communicate in Russian. But it's sad somehow for the country. Many Ukrainians do not understand Russian, and they are sent to Russian branches  Undecided

No one country support the Crimea occupation!
Don't speak about Crimea! Many thousand of ukrainian patriots died in a war.
Until our heart beats - Crimea is Ukraine!

This should not be discussed here (to avoid locking the topic if the post will become off-topic) but in a separate topic in the political and society board.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_status_of_Crimea then "stances" to say the map of the world and the countries who are in favor or against the sovereignty of Ukraine for crimea.
Now stay on topic people (and better to write normally).
