561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Emotional Arguments on: April 27, 2018, 02:35:35 PM
The Bitcoin community is doing a good job of selling Bitcoin using rational arguments.

Unfortunately, I don't believe rational arguments are going to convince non-technophiles and non-libertarians (the majority of the population).

My experience so far: When I try to explain the benefits of Bitcoin to friends and relatives, in the majority of cases I get a strong negative emotional response.

This response is almost automatic, knee-jerk like.  There seems to be something at the very core of Bitcoin that bothers "normal" people, something irrational (when I ask them to be specific about their objections, they become irritated or change the subject).

When I try a rational response, it doesn't work. Even if the rational part of their brain agrees with me.

I think we need some snappy emotional counter-arguments that we can throw at people pre-emptively.

So here are some emotional objections I've heard:

* Scam!
* Ponzi scheme!
* Name calling. (You are an idiot for falling for something like this! ; Another one of your harebrained Utopian ideas! ; You are clueless because you are no banker!)
* Proof of work is a waste of energy!
* If there is no guarantee, it must be worthless!
* If I can't touch it with my hands, it must be worthless!
* Economic inequality is unfair! Everybody should be issued an equal amount of BTC!
* OMG Deflation! Bad!
* No regulation against speculators? I lost half of my pension because of those bastards!
* Nobody in charge? That's anarchy! Nothing ever succeeds without a strong leader!
* Money Laundering! Kiddie Porn! Gambling! Drugs! Terrorism!
* I hate tax evaders!
* Capitalism/money is evil!

Do you know why they think that way about bitcoin? Something they think they may not feel, they may be affected by the negative news circulating about bitcoin. We do not know the real reason for their statements. We do not have to think about it anymore because it might also make you disturbed and affected. As long as we are confident with what we do then do and be patient, do not be greedy and do not listen to people who basically already hate bitcoin.

And most likely they haven't had first hand encounter with crypto and btc. Many people are like that. Even before you try to explain how things work in crypto, they seem to be closed to the idea. It's easier to understand fraud, scam, hacking, bubble and all negative notions about btc than to understand blockchain and how it can affect them in a positive way.
Preparing ones emotion upon engaging cryptocurrency is a must. Emotions are the center of our lives, and it is built around our life. Each of us have the ability to express our emotion and feeling, but the response we make can have a big difference. Emotional struggles are real, it's hard to handle them and sometimes it's uncontrollable. In times of having emotional meltdown, the best things to do would be to relax, take time to breathe deeply, talk to someone you confide, and be brave to face this challenge. Be optimistic.
562  Economy / Economics / Re: You're not wealthy yet, so you're not allowed to be wealthy on: April 26, 2018, 07:24:59 AM
Look on the bright, the ICO price is not always the cheapest possible price that a particular token might see.    Often a price can drop below that especially if you are quite a small investor who only wants to scoop a cheap order on the exchanges book after ICO perhaps.

Its the largest investors who might struggle to buy as cheaply because their size is so large they alter the price when buying on most exchanges as speculators notice and start to bid up the price ahead of them.    Make the most of your advantages wherever you can and you should do ok
We all deserve to be wealthy, if we allow it to happen. Our dream does not end in a blunder, and failures are not the reason to give up. We are the master of our journey, don’t rely your decisions too much upon what everyone is saying or doing, be different and be willing to be persistent on your aspirations. To be wealthy is to know how to assess risks. In terms of finance, reinvest your profits, limit what you borrow, and always remember that even a small amount can turn into a greater wealth. Most of all, knowing what to work on can help you work smarter and harder. Success and wealth can be defined with the impact you have to someone, that's all going to matter at the end of the day, and that's the test of how you lived life.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the government ban bitcoin? on: April 26, 2018, 06:35:02 AM
Bitcoin has been announced since the day it was invented, and it will be suppressed by governments in the future and declared illegal currency. Is the basis, the further development of the currency will be in the interests of the threat to traditional monetary and ruler, not the rights to cryptography currency once governments announced that the currency is illegal, its price will produce volatile in the short term, and may even crash. At the same time, the government will force the bitcoin exchange to be shut down, so that bitcoin can only be sold in private, and its exchange capacity will be badly hit. Will the government ban bitcoin?
Governments only enacted laws to tax bitcoins. Governments will soon join the crypto market if they wantn't to be eliminated
Actually, the government of the countries all over the world have the authority to ban or to accept bitcoin. Today there are some countries haved accepted and used it legally but still many others don't accept even try to ban its operation. They consider it as illegal currency. But because of decentralized blockchain technology used, the government can not ban it fully. It is only can be controlled by all users involved in it.Probably in the coming years, bitcoin might be accepted and legally used after several talks and discussions regarding it. Laws and regulation are needed do be the basis of its operation daily.
Exactly! Bitcoin has no central authority, it isn’t owned by anyone. No banks, or governments can block you from sending or receiving bitcoins with anyone or anywhere else in the world. However, its wide acceptance has not been recognized by other countries and government. I don't think it can be totally banned because its ledger network can only be access to those who have been part of the blockchain technology. But government can control it's usage somehow, it has a jurisdiction.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when there is NO electricity? How does one trade with BTC? on: April 25, 2018, 05:55:16 PM
bitcoin is not an alternative to cash yet. so it is not an issue at all. you cant buy fresh water or food with bitcoin. even if you buy you pay so much transaction fee and you have to wait so long for approvals. but in the future maybe after lightening network it will be possible. and no without electricity or any power supply you cant do any payment.
I think this is one of the challenges that might affect the role of BTC. Significantly, electricity, internet, cellular tower, power supply are its major sources of data to let nodes establish contact in the network. It would cause inconvenience along the way and it's quite difficult. I think fiat would still be an option if it would happen, but I would suggest that the smart course of action is diversification.
This is truly a difficult situation to handle, since its function and strength is dependent upon global networks and I hope those powerful and influential people behind this technology should find ways in preparation to manage such issue, because we don't know what might happen in the future. It's true that it's now on its peak, but practically there are more likely success and struggles to come and that's the reality. As for me, Bitcoin needs an easier way to transact physically, even the network is offline.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is legalized marijuana good for the economy?? US Citizens might talk here.. on: April 24, 2018, 04:25:35 PM
The legalization of marijuana has brought in millions (maybe billions?) in tax revenue to those states that have allowed it. Just imagine what each state and even the federal government could do with such extra money. Rather than wasting millions in tax money on a fight that can't be won ,right??

Or maybe you guys got another opinions??
are you a smoker?seems like youre smoking alot this days lol, though some medical breakthrough says marijuana is medicinal and cure to some sickness,it doesnt mean it will be needed to legalized, and even if how much government wasting to fight this drugs still its better to fight for peoples benefits than doing nothing at all
This issue have brought both positive and negative impact and government and other sectors should continue weighing their options. It's long been researched, studied and claimed that it has been found to treat cancer and has helped for those who are sick. In that circumstance I think it is a good discovery. In fact, the Drug Policy Alliance is currently working on marijuana legalization campaigns in New Jersey, New Mexico and New York. In the end, I mostly believe that we need stronger regulations and specifically we need to pay attention and be responsible in using any forms of drugs (medicine), and not abuse its usage and recommendation.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: April 24, 2018, 03:43:57 PM

The problem of scalability has reared its ugly head again this time when transactions are clogging and when we are about to experience the coming of the Bitcoin Futures. People have been expecting that soon Bitcoin can reach the mainstream with the legitimization it has been going through with the introduction of the Bitcoin Futures Contracts.

People are now strongly complaining of the shockingly high fees imposed by wallets and exchanges for the transfer of Bitcoin and this should not be ignored by those tasked with making decisions for Bitcoin. This whole thing can kill Bitcoin gradually if not given the appropriate remedy.

Do you feel like discouraged about Bitcoin with this latest debacle?
I have become stressed when Bitcoin prices go down, and it's down 70% compared to the cost it hit last Christmas. I have become desperate and wanted to sell everything but get advice from so many people I have given up my stupid intentions. I am happy Bitcoin prices have started coming back.
I would not be discouraged bitcoin and still continue to support bitcoin in its ups and downs. Bitcoin had really helped me a lot in my everyday expenses and bills. It helped to buy my needs in school and personal wants. It helped me to help my parents. There is no way I can stop on bitcoin as long as I will earn from it.
Honestly, it's not actually discouraging, it's a matter of mindsetting. Before you decided to engage in cryptocurrency, one should understand its volatility, market condition, the supply and demand flow, and more of its unique and unextraordinary qualities. It's about accepting its nature, that's just life. If we get to be trapped with the disappointments, it would not lead us to achieving our mission in life.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now on: April 23, 2018, 12:17:36 PM
Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now and what is he doing right now..Bitcoin price is down sharply. Can he do something?
No one really knows if Satoshi Nakamoto is still allive or dead and what is he doing right now because he is anonymous. About the value of bitcoin today, i think Satoshi cannot do anything about because there are countries who already banned bitcoin that make its price drops.
This is incredibly a hard question, because of its pseudonymous identity. Nobody has the idea if what his/her status is, where he/she is, what gender, if he/she still exists in this earthly world or whatsoever. It's really vague and enigmatic, but no matter what, being grateful to him/her, doing our part as a team for Bitcoin's prosperity despite good or bad market condition, sustaining its dominance, keeping its system strong and healthy are the best actions we can take to have it stay longer. Journey must go on.
Satoshi is still nowhere to be found and unidentified. Despite its mysterious existence it has contributed so much in every peopIe's lives and the society. But I guess the search has to be stopped, it's not important to know his real identity, it's been long over due. What is important is to be thankful to him for bringing Bitcoin in our lives, and for those who truly benefited, trust and believe it.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not sell your crypto! on: April 23, 2018, 10:39:12 AM
As I have seen this already too many times since past few years, I believe it would be beneficial to share my experience with crypto markets. Do not sell your coins/tokens when the market is dropping, it's just a pure speculation and perhaps market manipulation from whales who only target to earn on whatever the price moves they can achieve. If you're reasonable, sell when market is high and buyer/hold when market is bleeding. I hope this helps you to decide  Wink
actually people sell their assets or coins when the price is low because of the panic that happened. they are afraid their assets are lost or continue to fall and then decide to sell it without thinking long impact will be felt. usually the price drop does not last long or just for a moment. so that condition can be an opportunity to buy, then sell it when the price goes back up. so here my advice should not be easily affected by the fall in prices. try not to panic and stay calm. believes that prices will rise again.
Trading is a game, you may win or lose but keep track on your strategies to help you gain and reduce the risks it brings. Selling crypto needs perfect timing, the volume and price pump and dumps are the factors to consider in selling crypto. If the value is low, take it as an advantage just keep holding your coins, and when it increases, it's the time to sell it.
569  Economy / Speculation / Re: panic or to be calm on: April 22, 2018, 06:17:49 AM
the more days the bitcoin price slumps down, how do you think, whether the price will stabilize or it will keep falling down ,, seems like I'm getting scared Angry
Look now sir, bitcoin prices start to show its existence. Bitcoin prices increase quite well and stable. Hopefully the price movement continues and survives for a long time. The development of bitcoin at this time is quite good, some altcoin also increased so this could make the market crypto grow better. Consistency in using bitcoin will affect whether bitcoin will develop or not. Continue to use bitcon in doing financial transactions every day and we will see bitcoin price increases.
We are in a digital world where uncertainties are just around the corner, and the volatility of cryptocurrency is really unpredictable. Staying calm is the best tool to face any circumstances. Keep perspective, take a deep breathe, so that you are ready to whatever comes in your way. Make a plan, practice, know your strengths and weaknesses, and reflect. These can truly help you assess to any situations. Keep the hope and dedication stay alive.
570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait for bitcoin to grow? on: April 21, 2018, 06:25:48 AM
I never hesitate with the future of bitcoin so wait is a very good and profitable option, I'm sure that patiently waiting then we will get big profit and now it all looks real as the price keeps rising.
for now, I better take the decision to hold the bitcoin I have. there is a high probability that the price will continue to rise. this maybe will happen until the end of this month. well, i hope that at this time bitcoin price can go up as high as possible.
Hold as much as you can, don't panic and get lost at the end and nowhere to go. It's never easy, but the risk can be reduced if one is creative enough in making effective and informed decisions. Stay patient, and compassionate. Be blessed and rewarded.
571  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: April 20, 2018, 03:22:22 PM
They say that chance only knock ones you have to grab it but also you have to do something you have to work on it wisely. Chance combined it with intelligence it will be better a chance to be rich.
Yeah I will agree. Its not about how inteligence we are but on how we grab the opportunity that comes our life to take the stage to feel the happiness of being wealthy.
The right use of chance. Definitely if someone is much intelligent and talented but they aren’t getting any chance, how will they be telling the world about their talent and intelligence? These three have to be in a couple for better results because if one of them either wouldn’t be present, things wouldn’t be good enough. We have to keep these three with us every time.
This topic can have a broad sense in getting people's attention where different point of views come into place depending on each personal experiences. Richness can be attained through hardwork, perseverance and constant effort. I strongly believe that personality and having a positive attitude can have a greater impact on success. Be it a chance, intelligence, or talent as long as you put your sincerity, productivity and heart with what you do, it can bring you farther.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment strategy on: April 20, 2018, 01:06:33 PM
If you have much money and want to invest, there are two common strategy you can use. The first, you can share your money in different amount to invest in several coins. It is intended to limit or minimize your risk. Let say you can invest in btc using 40 % of your money, 30 % used in eth investment and the rest 30 % may be in ltc. Another strategy is diversifying your risk by investing in bitcoin only but with different price. Say, today you invest at the current price using 50 % of your money and 50 % more you can prepare it to buy at lower price level. This strategy is used to control or minimize your investment risk.
Investment is not risk-free, and being an investor either you are a beginner or an expert must still have to be strategic and continue to study its nature. No great investor become successful without practice, eagerness to learn and being curious for what's new and coming. Aside from enriching technical skills, I think intrapersonal skills have to be developed as well to overcome fears and being strong enough to face any expectancies investment might bring.
573  Economy / Speculation / Re: Growth may be just around the corner? on: April 19, 2018, 05:39:43 PM
You gotta be careful with those feelings, because those are the ones that will cause you to make those unnecessary trades.

For instance, what's happening to the market right now might be a bull trap. Those feelings will lead you right into it.

You must really care this time because the price can drop easily, trade with your own analysis so you will not be lose much in the end of the day. I still hope that this is not a bull trap or what so ever, I wish for a full recovery of this market.
We don't know yet if it's bull trap but look the market now this moment is still on a slowly recovering. But I think were just near on the growth of bitcoin. However, the more demands the more speculation of price to increase could leads to be a successful trading.
The road to prosperity is not always smooth and not at high peak all the time. Bitcoin undergoes debacles and failures, making it substantial and invincible in continuing to support the needs of people and society. Bitcoin has passed through afflictions and a lot have hinder its growth affecting its value. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that growth happens if we encompass the significance of bitcoin, accept, and believe its potential.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: April 18, 2018, 10:47:39 AM
We are entering in the new type of economy where price predictions are not possible any more because productivity and prosperity of humanity will rise to the new golden age level. Bitcoin will go to 1 million dollars in 2018 and is being used by central banks as a global stardard ledger - dollar will fade slowly those who buy now will become the new wealthy elite.
Sure, virtual currencies will change the world in the future, and Bitcoin will do it, countries that have banned Bitcoin all have a notion that the money will not be able to help the economy better and only The crisis and the fluctuation of the economy deteriorated. These make up a lot of evil thoughts about virtual money and Bitcoin, so they forbid the virtual cash to work.
The technology was highly welcomed in Europe and got huge number of users. People chose this technology because it promises so many new things in the world that were initially in very complicated way. Furthermore, people like the technology because it has made so many people rich and wealthy. It is highly liquid and had wide acceptability.
It's gradually evolving, technology has been bringing quality innovation and bitcoin has become its beneficiaries and invention. We are the one making the change in ourselves and bitcoin has become very instrumental for our growth and has already changed the world and to people who believe in it. Change only happens if we let it live in our heart and mind.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years? on: April 18, 2018, 10:20:50 AM
In terms of mining, bitcoin is most profitable when its value increases quickly relative to the changes in difficulty. If there is a sharp increase in difference then bitcoin mining will be quite profitable for that period. However, if difficult increases faster than bitcoin gains in value (like right now), then profitability will be adversely affected, even if you have high end equipment.
Even though it has its downs, still it can give you huge returns in a shorter period of time. It's been profitable and increasingly been making the market attracts more investors and users, and I think its profitability will continue in the next years or so.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia prepares to legalize cryptocurrency market by July 2018 on: April 17, 2018, 12:57:57 PM
Legalize cryptocurrency all you want, cryptocurrency will not fall into the hands of any government control. Having said this, if the story of  Russia legalisation of cryptocurrency is true, I will say this positive news, is better than negative news!
This is another good news to hear, it seems everyday cryptocurrency makes the world feel its existence and evolution. It shows that it can really make a difference around the globe in terms of earning, trading, investment, even to small sectors, and people from all walks of life can be part of its excellent service and potential. It always has some special offer to look for , and it's good that it's being recognized by other countries already. Whenever cryptocurrency is at its peak, there's more to come.
577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading don't work for me too well on: April 17, 2018, 10:59:20 AM
If you are impatient and easy to panic dont trade. Invest in very good ico then wait for it to goes up high. Holding is the best strategy in crypto investment so far. And dont ever look at 5 minutes chart or looking at market every hour. Check it every 3 month it will help your heart healtier. And the money yout also must be money you can afford to lose. Dont put your all your retire money in.
I agree! If you find that it does not work too well for you, I guess quitting is not the solution. Being patient and letting you have emotional stability can be very helpful to survive and be successful in trading. Learn to have a self-discipline, seek help from others to help you, and most importantly, it all starts from yourself on how well you take actions with these and don't yourself too much. Be calm and relax. Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bountyhunters, be careful with twitter accounts on: April 16, 2018, 11:25:16 AM
Thanks for this information , but does it mean that we bounty hunters can no longer join twitter campaigns from ICOs ??

I don't think so. But we need to be careful and if you use massfollowing do it very carefully
Especially if you use onlt one account
Not only twitter but also some other forms of social media, where it has become the venue of fake news and scams, due to irresponsibility and for personal purposes of others. No matter what social media are you into, being extra careful and accountable in everything that we do and say can give us an extra prevention of becoming the next victim.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning BITCOIN Scam... Be Cautious! on: April 16, 2018, 11:02:18 AM
this is what causes bitcoin to be bad in the eyes of government, irresponsible people make Bitcoin worse for now, and true our friend Bitcoin and cryptocurency should be more information so people who do not know will be more aware not to repeat incidents like this again..
This is something we cannot just have to not expect most especially since we already have an environment that is eye catching for scammers and can make it easy for them to scam the naïve ones. I only blame those who fall for this and it apparently has nothing to do with cryptocurrency.

Looking at the way things have been even outside cryptocurrency, scammers have always existed with a lot of people looking for quick and easy ways to make money, and if that mentality is not curbed, it will keep on. Still, it is our basic responsibility to stay secured among them as it has no differences from real life scenarios.
Scams are becoming very unrestrained nowadays and all of us are vulnerable of its presence. This has become the reason why bitcoin's price drops because of people not being responsible and throwing negative feedback against bitcoin. Be careful and liable in sharing personal and any kind of information, don't be fooled by suspicious activities, and let security be our topmost priority.
580  Economy / Economics / Re: good effect and bad effects of robots in replacing human Jobs on: April 15, 2018, 04:45:13 AM
as i said on the title what are the good effects and bad effects of robots in replacing human jobs.
What is your opinion about this guys.

Having robot doing some jobs.
there is Faster Production  and Less Cost   the cost is for maintenance only .

the bad effects are they don't have the emotions to feel the Pollutions that will be produced.
and many people will be Jobless

Exactly! Technology plays a totally vital role in making and helping human work done comfortably and effectively. Robotic capabilities are now growing rapidly. Robots are more active, they don't get tired and they say no to anything. Its presence would lessen absenteeism in the workplace. Though it is programmed to handle prescribed task, it cannot handle unexpected situation. If one thing goes wrong, the entire system is affected. After all human are still efficient in decision making, handling difficult situations, and bringing a sense of empathy into a workplace.
