561  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sponsored Competition/Lottery - does that already exist? on: October 30, 2017, 09:20:37 AM
I don't know anything like that right now. Just to make sure I understood it well, you don't pay for the raffle, you just give out your email address, is that it? This way, companies that are sponsoring the raffle will probably use the email given to sent out information about their products.

I think I would be ok in participating in a lottery like that, but are there companies interested in that? People can just create emails for that lottery, and never use them again. If the site had a lot of traffic and companies had their banners there, I would understand why they would consider sponsoring the website, but just to get an email address that will probably be created just for that purpose I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong.

Also what would prevent people from creating hundreds of email addresses to participate in the lottery?

It's a risk that people only create an E-Mail to participate in that lottery, but you can't take part with one of that "one-way" addresses, you have to claim your prize from that address. And the prices will not be that high that it's worth to create dozens of real E-Mail addresses.

It would be interesting for ICOs maybe.

The thing is, people here in the crypto world, value their identities. They would not freely just share their information on their identities just like that. Because there is a high chance that their identities would be used for malicious intentions. I guess, it would be a good concept, but usually lotteries don't really get enough attention in the crypto gambling world since the prizes are pretty small, comparing it to how much they could win on the real world lotteries.

563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: October 27, 2017, 11:04:16 AM
How would you feel if you lost 50 btc after gambling... https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/92ff9f2dmRCeSttM0U0a1dPZ0tTSDd4OW4vZz09/r/2744 What's the biggest loss you've taken before, and do you have any good coping strategies? I do wonder if it's better or not to express anger or to just try and ignore it as best as possible. Personally I just get angry and yell some swears, but curious how other people react when losing and any tips on coping.

Man, that was a terrible lost. My gambling experience was good at the first but still end up bad. I used my 600k sats in bitkong and I've won BTC.01  but my greed was too strong and when I lost all I played another 200k sats but after I lost it again I stopped and I quit and I told myself this is enough.

Well I had the same fate. I gambled with 0.1 and waged it at 97% chance to win on dice, which gave about 1% profit per roll. I profited and doubled my initial money, but problem is, two straight losses on that chance occurred. I ended up with nothing and deposited anew, and just got the same fate. I ended with a balance of -0.2 on the site, which is pretty devastating to me, since I should have not gambled that money. It was for my savings.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: October 27, 2017, 10:58:19 AM
Well for me i have my priorities in life so i never missed any of my schedule because of gambling, I do gamble after my shift since i am using Bitcoin i can gamble during break, lunch and while going back home. It is better to focus first in priorities before leisure , fun or enjoyment.

You are right we need to focus to our priorities specially with our work because this will be the one who can give us money to gamble, leisure should come next we won't work all day so why need to put our job in jeopardy for the sake of gambling when we can easily manage our time.
Yes, gambling is all about fun. We need to find the good in it. This is possible only through a perfect money management, time management as well having limits. Myself have separate time for gambling, which will be after working hours or mostly in the evening time.

Yeah it's for entertaining one's self. But I don't think it should rule anyone's life. That's why it is just for entertainment, it is to pass the time when you do not have anything else to do. If it is gambling over important stuff like work or school, then by all means a person should never pick gambling over those important stuff. I guess, if you lose time for other stuff then that means that person is already addicted to gambling.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gaming Site Offering Bitcoin...... on: October 27, 2017, 10:53:20 AM
The online gaming site Slotland just announced they are offering deposits and withdraws in Bitcoin. The company stated thet a deposit will be processed immediately and withdraws will take affect the next business day...

This is a great move to the future........

I think this should be in Bitcoin Discussion area, this is good for the space, they don't want to miss out on the huge gain, just imagine Bitcoin has done more than 5X return this year and it is still likely to rage higher

This should not be in the gambling discussions but in the gambling section as that is the correct place to make threads about casinos offering bitcoin as a way to play with. The gambling discussion section is indeed that, to discuss about gambling and not about announcing a particular casino. So your recommendation is totally incorrect, so OP please move this.
why is this post in gambling discussion..i think this must be on bitcoin discussion, but its really a good news for us all that bitcoin having adopted by gaming site.and i will have impact in bitcoin community, hopefully this thing will happens in altcoins too.coz its not just the BTC makes the cryptocurrency world round.but also other coins do
Why would you even recommend this to be in the bitcoin discussion section? The bitcoin discussion section, is for exactly that. It does not discuss about gambling or gambling sites. That is why I recommended this to be moved to the gambling section, the proper place for announcing any gambling site that accepts bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies.
566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can you avoid to be scammed by hyip investment of bitcoins? on: October 27, 2017, 06:52:57 AM
So many hyip were found in any Facebook groups. Last October 20 2017 someone refer me to join in hyip were she joined me also. From the very first day I deposit my investmetr to that hyip I suspected already that maybe it was scam because my deposit took so long before I received in my account and that's what I did was I sent message to their support. After 5 days of investing I failed to open their site and they took my investment.

That's easy! To avoid getting scammed by these hyip investments and them running away with your bitcoins the answer is, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT JOINING HYIP INVESTMENTS! They will just run away with your money without a second thought. Anyway, how gullible are you to believe that they are legit. Double your money in one day, one week, one month? Seriously, there is no such thing.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why YOU should really care about Provably Fair... on: October 26, 2017, 08:06:07 PM
Probably fair gives an added trust or makes the particular gambling website more legitimate in comparison to other gambling websites. Another thing is based on the house edge allocated as well the platform on which the event has been developed too makes it provably fair.

Problem is not all sites that say they are provably fair are really provably fair. There are some that just throw around the words and not really back up what they are saying. It's common to see especially with new casinos and fly by night ones. There should really be a body that would handle these claims and check for their authenticity, Some even have their own system and saying it is provably fair but in fact it is not up to standards.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: October 26, 2017, 08:03:26 PM
It wasn't easy but I came to an end that I'm tired of lossing. Win some then follow by a bigger lose. I thought i'm gonna win big someday but it's been 3 years and my negative balance is keep on getting higher. So I ended giving up that hope and realize all that I could be millionaire by now if only I didn't get addicted in gambling. My last loss was today early in the morning and that loss change me. Today I've realize all my mistake and decided not to pay a visit on any gambling site. This time, it's real.
This is too late but still i appreciate that you took a good and strong decision. Now onwards anything can happen don't play again gambling. Your loneliness will again tempt you to play gambling but don't tempt control your feelings and stop. Everytime sudden decisions only workout, if we plan and do means it won't work out.

This is an great example of a irresponsible gambler. Chasing losses and hoping to profit are the worst things a gambler could do. It practically would mean digging your own grave in gambling. The chances of someone recovering their losses is practically impossible because the odds are insurmountable. That means if you want to chase losses you have to win as much as you lost. The bigger the losses, the extremely harder it will get.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: October 26, 2017, 11:27:27 AM
It depends on you, if you have such large amount and you can really afford to lose more then you can try to win back your loss if you decided to do it too . But If were placed on that situation that I encountered a consecutive loss I would just distance myself on any type of gambling as it is not really easy to get back what I've lost and i don't really think it will be possible for me .
But for me theres no such reason for them to chase there loses instead start a new woth a new gambling site or try his luck into another ganbling site since he already lack of lucck and if he is going to try to chase that and trying more push more maybe he will be greed more and he will lose more. The main situation is he akready lose his temper to control his self to gamble

I agree, this is the number one cause of people getting addicted, I believe. The reason that addicts keeps on playing is that they really believe they can win on their next try and when they win they will get back all of their money back. Sadly, 99% of the time they are wrong. They will likely end up in more debts than they currently are before they even started chasing their losses.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What actually is Provably Fairness?! on: October 26, 2017, 11:23:33 AM
Always redirect to this article when trying to explain provably fair and why I choose to play dice games. People think I'm weird.

I find the article great for people who don't understand yet what provably fair is. Its actually a weird concept for gambling newbies for sure, as likely they don't even care about the process of how random numbers are generated. Though, I would say that there is still no gambling council or group that regulates online cryptocurrency gambling sites if whether they are really provably fair. Maybe that's a step forward for gambling if there would be one.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think dicing can take over the real money market like it did with Bitcoin on: October 26, 2017, 09:00:49 AM
I agree with BlockEye here, not sure what you are referring to! If you are talking about money market as an investment that would be matched by casino investments then it will not happen. Casino investments have a really high risk compared to money market funds where the risk is pretty low. Though casinos always win, it is not true all the time, ther eare times they also lose to gamblers by a lot.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: October 26, 2017, 07:56:05 AM
If we are talking about online investments like Hyip, doublers and anything that looks like a pyramiding then I would rather choose gambling because at least there I can win unlike those scam gimmicks where they will just rob all my money in the long run.

Hyips, doublers and those scam investments are not investments to be honest. They are actually gambling as well, that is why the mods created the investor related gambling section on this forum. Since they are not considered real investments but somewhat a gamble since you are taking so much risk that it would pay up. Which does not really happen.
573  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why rollin.io closed their service ? on: October 25, 2017, 05:30:39 PM
- Before closing down site they have cut off their all promotions, lowered the pay rate for their signature campaign which shows they were having some financial problems.
- They even tried to sell their site but couldn't find buyer so ultimately they have to shut down their platform.
- They might also got afraid of getting into radar of local authorities, they closed site being happy with what they have already made with the site till now.

I agree, they likely ran into financial troubles and ultimately closed it down since they were operating in losses. Maybe someone won really big and that drained their funds and was not able to get back up again, who knows. They should probably create some sort of thread were they would clarify the reason so we all stop speculating what happened to them.
574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Experiment: 1% profit daily gambling over 90 days (91 days exactly) on: October 25, 2017, 05:23:53 PM
Omg i think he lose all the capital!

But if he'll come here and write to do other i will wait for the update :O

Like someone said here before, he has not been seen since August 25. Like he lost all the money and gave up or just plainly gave up in the middle of it. Well, to be honest it is practically impossible to win 1% profit daily on gambling consistently. There would be a chance that he would lose in one day and that day will likely not just lose 1% but by a lot more than that.

Actually they can if they really have any luck, may be suddenly he won more than 1% daily and cut it into few days to make it 1%. This is a possible thing to do but to get it daily, I do not think so. The longest streak that I ever did is to make 0.03 to 0.2 btc slowly but it really takes a lot of time. Now I do try to earn 0.2 in a month. It is pretty hard but we never know when luck comes right?

What are you the media?! You highlighted a portion of what I said but did not care about the whole statement I gave! Like I said,

"]it is practically impossible to win 1% profit daily on gambling consistently."

Yeah it is possible to get 1% a day but not consistently! basically it means that you cannot always win every single day. Understand what you are replying to before you highlight stuff next time.
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: October 24, 2017, 02:16:46 PM
Who kept their bitcoin in fortunejack during hard fork today? I had some bitcoin in fortunejack during bitcoin gold hardfork today and I don't think fortunejack gonna credit bitcoin gold in players account if they have some bitcoin at the time of fork.

Anyway I am not worried about those bitcoin gold which might never get successful even after they will launch their wallet on Nov with premined bitcoin gold.  Grin Grin

Right now Bitcoin gold is trading at 0.07btc each on yobit. Which means its just 7% of the value of bitcoins. Likely this will crash more in the coming days like how bitcoin cash crashed. I don't think too that this will be relevant in a few weeks too. There is really little point to get it unless you have like thousands of bitcoins to maximize the profit you get from trying to get the bitcoin gold.

577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Gold hard fork has happened on: October 24, 2017, 11:39:52 AM
It is stated in the news that it has occured.
What will be to BTC price?

BT Gold is traded at Bitfinex at 159 USD

It will just dump when everybody gets their own bitcoin gold. I think BTG is just a failed attempt at making the devs rich since likely they have so much GPU miners and they want to use it to be able to overcome bitcoins itself and be the new and true bitcoin. However, this will not happen. BTG will remain an altcoin and they can't do anything about it. Like now, you can see in yobit that they just dumped it. Prices went from 0.17 down to 0.07 and will likely go down some more.
578  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-23] Saudi Prince Al-Waleed: Bitcoin Is 'Going to Implode' on: October 24, 2017, 11:31:44 AM
I would like to say to that prince "go fuck yourself!" I hate monarchy! Why do they have the right to be higher than anyone else just because they were born into that family? Also, what the fuck does a spoiled rich kid knows about anything? I first read this on the site itself and I was meaning to post this and give a piece of my mind!

Ok, what does a prince have that entitles him to be a financial guru? Does he have some sort of knowledge that would involve creating accurate predictions? I don't think so!

Also, he fucking compared it to ENRON! Fucking ENRON! That's so different! Not even in the same class. WTF! Go fucking die you useless piece of garbage!

(Sorry for the words here, I'm just really frustrated about this guy. I'm so pissed at these people who don't know shit about crypto!)
579  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: October 24, 2017, 11:20:04 AM
Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? I am confused to buy bitcoin now when it's value is too high.

Due to bitcoin's decentralized nature, no government agency or corporation can ever regulate and control its price due, which adds to the reason on why it is very volatile. Also, due to certain factors like global events, ICO prohibitions, or even country prohibitions/legalization contribute to the factor on its volatility. There is also a lot of individuals who invest into bitcoin daily, and the law of demand and supply primarily dictates its price in the market.

For your question, if you risked and bought some bitcoins during August 2017 which will cost you around $4000, you could've profited since its price right now is around ~$6000. If ever you have doubts on investing into bitcoins, then consider the price history to be your main basis on your decision. The graph shows that there is a steady increase on its price especially this 2017 due to a lot of factors mentioned.

That is true, since there is no central entity managing bitcoins and there is nothing that is backing up bitcoins like fiat which is backed up by gold or the state, it is merely supported by supply and demand. The more people want it, the higher the price it will be. That is one of the inherent problem with bitcoins, however, there is still a lot of good that can be achieve if it would become mainstream and would be used in payments. The problem is valuation though, that is a problem the future must solve for bitcoins.
580  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 24, 2017, 11:15:23 AM
better to invest in bitcoin, gold maybe more secure, but bitcoin has more potential to grow

saving money in the bank, will only mean losing them in the long-term with the current high inflation

No, it’s better to save money in the bank rather than investing in bitcoin or gold if you are not knowledgeable regarding crypto currencies. It is okay if saving money in the bank means losing them in the long-term with the current high inflation but we know that it is safe than investing without knowledge to bitcoin and you just might be target for online scammers.
What are you stupid? Then why are you even here on the bitcoin forum if you don't even believe in it? You're a hypocritical prick for saying that. You should encourage people rather than discourage them. You are portraying that cryptocurrencies is a bad idea, which is the opposite. This is one of the best invention for finance since paper money. I don't think it would go away, hence it is a good investment no matter what.
