561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum last forever? on: August 03, 2021, 01:52:54 PM

What's your opinion on this? Will Ethereum last forever? Or will it eventually die? Do you think it'll retain its place as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap for long? If not, why? Do competitors stand a chance against ETH? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Nothing last forever but for technology to continue it must evolve it cannot stay as it is a new technology within technology will continue to come and challenge the leading one if Ethereum stay as long as it can,  they need to continue evolved and there should be new developers to take over we cannot expect Buterin to live forever and this world is not meant to be forever.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nesthy Petecio vs Irie Sena Olympic Gold Match on: August 02, 2021, 01:05:56 PM
I've been searching for the betting odds, finally, it's here.

However, I'm a bit disappointed because I was expecting that  Nesthy Petecio will be an underdog here, it turns out he is the favorite to win the gold.
I'm not sure not if I'll take the 1.32 odds, but if would decide, maybe I'll just put a bet for fun.

Maybe because he has beaten the world champion in the early rounds of the event, and her last fight is quite impressive he already fought two tallest fighters,s and even if Sena beat him several times, we are seeing a different Petecio here, the Philippines is on its way to win their second gold I'm congratulating Nesthy Petecio this early.

If you are not good at checking applications that you are downloading on your cellphone it's better not to put wallets on your cellphone, it's risky it's better to use a hard wallet or desktop wallet and use good malware fighters, now that there are wallet for android, security on your phone should be your main concern.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: August 01, 2021, 10:56:25 AM
Aside from Bitcoin (BTC), will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee?
Of course my question is based on some experiences that occur in the market.
My observations of crypto market conditions, such as there are groups or people who do things that cause the price of other coins to only last for a moment.

Please have a discussion that makes all participants gain new knowledge.

It's the reality of the market that we should understand and get used to if we do not, we are going to lose our investment if we lack research of the coin we've invested in, the market is very volatile, the worse thing is holding to a coin that continues to lose values, and selling coin that has potential in the market, this happens to me many times and I have to comfort myself and get used to the volatility of the market.

You only need one good project when you are starting out in your journey in the Crypto world to start making a fortune, in my case when I was just starting out I was lucky to be part of two bounty campaigns where I was rewarded with good stakes and the coin was doing great in the market, I sold it and it's equivalent of a year's work in my company, that started my journey here in Cryptocurrency.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: August 01, 2021, 10:23:22 AM

That’s alright to ask for some help but we have no right to demand for them to help us because in the first place, we choose to gamble at our own risk and the casinos are not responsible for the next action that you’ll take. Addiction is a broad concern for many, casinos can’t control it but they offer a help through their organizations that focuses more on addict gambler. We have to play based on capacity, don’t force yourself beyond the limit.

Gamblers will just say that it is ok to gamble because they will just charge the casinos and ask for compensation, that's their alibi why there's nothing wrong with gambling, we should be responsible for all our actions especially on gambling where you spend time and money and will cost addiction, let's be responsible on what we do with our time and money.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: July 31, 2021, 11:17:33 PM

So, what is your favorite game when it comes to gambling on current platforms? What is the reason that you like it?
For me, currently, Blast is probably my favorite game, it's a completely random game and gives you a big surprise, it's really fun where you don't know when you will win or lose, all you can do is rely on luck. It's the coolest part, you know, when you're bored with your investment losses, it's great to find a game to relax. Many people probably won't know this game, because different platforms will give it a different name, but I believe you will definitely recognize it through this image (illustration, no platform name to avoid advertising elements):

Yes it's also one of my favorites it's really a random game and you much depends on your greed to win here you can win a huge jackpot and losses a lot in an instant, probably one of the most exciting games in any gambling site, I used to be so hooked on this game that I lose my bankroll in an instant you have to be careful playing here and know when to stop.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: July 31, 2021, 11:41:29 AM
I picked interest in Gambling recently and I love playing for fun, but lately, I lost most of the games this has made me lose some money and I would like to learn how to gamble.

I will appreciate anyone who can help with a guide or share a link to where I can learn how to gamble for beginners.

There are many articles that you can read and videos on Youtube that you can watch where you can learn how to gamble, they can only teach the principles or how it's game works but when it comes to winning it's all based on luck and you cannot cheat luck, help yourself by learning not to become addicted to gambling, this will ruin your life, you have to practice moderation and only play within your means.
569  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you do for a living? How much do you earn each month? on: July 31, 2021, 08:32:37 AM

what do you do for a living?

I am working in a factory, sometimes in the office it's not really enough to sustain a living here in our country even if I am receiving a minimum salary, my work here in Bitcointalk as part of Bitvest campaign enable me to accumulate Bitcoin and other coins, besides getting the latest news in Cryptocurrency and participate in the discussion, I'm satisfied instead of buying Bitcoin I'm earning while learning.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: July 31, 2021, 06:17:32 AM
I've stumbled upon this news written three years ago. At that time, there was accordingly only one brick-and-mortar casino which accepts Bitcoin for actual gambling. Other casinos have been accepting Bitcoin but not for placing bets. Even Las Vegas casinos have already been accepting Bitcoin as payment for several years already, but such is only limited to restaurants, gift shops, and so on, not on the gambling floor.

Merit Hotel Nicosia in Cyprus is different in that it actually offers Bitcoin gambling to its guests using Bitstamp's Bitcoin price. So there's at least one brick-and-mortar casino accepting Bitcoin bets.

It's good to know that we have at least one excerpt in the article
Quote
It’s nice to see that at least one land-based casino is willing to take Bitcoin payments. But it’s also discouraging for cryptocurrency users to find out that only one casino in the world offers BTC gambling.
at least we have one in case there are other casinos that would like to implement betting through Cryptocurrency, they will get an inspiration to this casino and might contact them for consultation on implementation.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 30, 2021, 10:46:12 PM
It's not necessary, if you are not comfortable with their terms you can go elsewhere on poker sites that do not ask for KYC, and you should be careful on new poker sites that offer big bonuses I have the worse experience on this kind of new site, I register got my bonus and win but I need to deposit, I deposit only to find out that they will not allow me to withdraw my earnings when it is stipulated that they will let me withdraw my earnings coming from my bonus, so be careful on new site.
572  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share your reason why you started to play Cryptocurrencies on: July 30, 2021, 01:26:02 PM
To me, the reason I got involved to Cryptocurrencies / Crypto community is the blooming news and information on the media that raised my interests and curiosity to know more. As a normal man, I am interested with all the new things.... and love to learn what I don't know. including new technology, new gadgets... so what's yours?

It's going everywhere when I first invest and joined this community there's already a lot of buzz about Cryptocurrency, there's so many articles, videos, and testimonials about it on the internet, it's hard to ignore something that is going to explode in the future, might as well join that early, that was my mindset when I got active about Cryptocurrency, there's always new here.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling ombudsman - do you feel protected? on: July 30, 2021, 01:17:26 PM
There's nothing like good protection you know that when you have a valid complaint, there is an agency that will resolve it, even if it turns out not in your favor at least you have brought your case and fight for it, we have seen so many gambling sites that are losing their case because they are at the mercy of the gambling site, they decide what is fair, and you have no choice but to take whether you like it or not.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: July 30, 2021, 06:28:21 AM
That's actually funny to read this now. I don't think BTC is gonna fall to the $20K again. It might even get to the $50K in August i guess.

Yes it is because of the recent pump people are now motivated to buy the buy order is now going strong $50k is realistic, if we are not going to read bad news for the month of August, all the other altcoins are also going up, and many new trending coins are created this is the best time to have funds to invest, but of course only invest what you can afford to lose.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: July 30, 2021, 03:31:06 AM
These days I'm seeing many Youtubers and Twitch streamers are promoting Gambling websites [Dice, Sports Betting] and Poker Apps.

I know it's ok to gamble for having fun and socially but I don't think young people should be exposed to this when they're in school.
Most of them will only imagine "What 'IF' i win 1000x of this amount and i'll be able to do this and that"

The first thing where will they get the money, even if they get pocket money and use that to gamble then they'll slowly develop the habit of gambling disregarding short-term winnings - if they occur.

They'll pay a huge price with the tension they'll have thinking about this when their whole life is ahead.

This is the price we have to pay if you are not going to check what your children are doing and surfing online, the web is huge and it open to all portals you should guide and explain to your children the many risks and if possible if you have a good anti-virus that can restrict sites then use it and always check sites your children are surfing through their surf history.
576  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was the price of btc when u had your first btc/satoshis? on: July 30, 2021, 01:53:50 AM
As far as I remember it was around 1btc= 200-300 $.
I know it from reading and hearing quite before, but my own first coin I had in this frame.
What about you?

My first transaction was when Bitcoin was in the $10k level I already know Bitcoin a year earlier before I made a purchase I was working in the province and just become active here in this forum and from trading, after I got back in my home city, there was no internet connection in the province where I was, the biggest regret is I cannot HOLD on my Bitcoin because of the constant pressure of selling.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: July 29, 2021, 10:24:28 PM
I know many people bet on boxing matches and I recently saw a post on an "slapping tournament". I was thinking that professional boxing is kind of questionable as a sport discipline and even more so as a gambling event. It is known that many boxers sustain long term effects of repeated micro-trauma and even some have been know to die in the ring. For all boxing fans and for others that may have a view on this, how is this being considered a fully legal activity being supported? And how is betting of people hitting each other being considered as legal and ethical in today´s world?

There's art in boxing, and it brings a deep-rooted mentality of fast brave and strong on us and boxing personifies that, and besides you cannot enter the ring without being fit, it takes months of preparation and years of developing skills before you can fight in the ring, they are not picking random people they are picking who can fight and protect himself in the ring.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: July 29, 2021, 03:09:37 PM
It can teach the young players to gamble. If that's sort of an in-game NPC and place, those kids will gamble at their will as part of being curious. That's the side effect of having a game with a gambling game inside and you'll never know what will be the implication of it. They can bring that gambling experience even if it's just inside a game into the outside and real world until they grow up and the rest would be history. That's the side effect that I can see and for sure that I'm not the only one that's concerned with the young ones who will be introduced to gambling by that way.

I will also get concerned because you cannot expose or integrate gambling to kid's gaming sites, it's not right, even if some countries allow kids to gamble I will not let my kid gamble or even expose to gambling games like dice, slots or similar games that are very much associated to gambling, there will be many complaints if a gaming site integrates gambling or parents will prevent their kids to play there and look for alternatives.
579  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you save your money? on: July 29, 2021, 01:21:32 PM

So go on, make a move. Secure your hard-earned money in gold. If you do not know how to go about it, use your search engine and find out more about gold investment and how to benefit from it.

Yes Gold is a good investment I have a gold ring and necklace and it's a big help in times of need like when you are in an emergency you can pawn it to a friend or a pawnshop, gold and Cryptocurrency are two different kinds of savings, there's volatility in Cryptocurrency compared to Gold but saving your money in Cryptocurrency at the right time will yield you a good profit.
