561  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: March 08, 2017, 10:08:23 AM
I consider myself as young (and stupid lol), but I would say that I will never go all in on bitcoins. Bitcoins is so volatile that it could even go down the moment something really negative comes around. Having all you money in something as dangerous as bitcoins could lead to bankruptcy in any person investing everything in it. Like every other investor would say, "don't put all your eggs in one basket."

You are not putting them all in Bitcoin (all of your effort your entire life), the idea is a temporary all in where your free money will go to Bitcoin as investment.  If you really read what op wants to tell us, this is not for people who already have financial responsibilities to their family instead this goes to students that are still dependent to their parents.  So as I said this advice is not for all but for those who are still dependent to their parents with no financial reponsibility.  And this is to hold BTC at a long time not just to daytrade it.

Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.

But think about it, if you are still dependent then that means you're actually not yet earning that much too. If you invest everything then that will be just a small amount compared to young professionals earning a living already. If for example, you are a student, you just live off your allowance and you save around $100 a year and invest that all in bitcoins. Prices go up by 100 times by 10 years, that means the value of your money is not enough to retire.

Well at least you can have a good start up.  The point here is, rather than kids spending their money to waste, it is better if they save it in form of BTC.  This way they savings have a chance to appreciate in price value.  If we are talking about young professional, their case is different since they are now tending to themselves and already have financial responsibility.  So the approach on how they have to get Bitcoin is different.  And I agree that they (young professionals) should not go all in to Bitcoin.
Neither young professional nor settled professional should go all in to bitcoin. It must be taken as most valuable opportunity where current investment will surely earn fortune. Young professional should invest step by step in bitcoin. By the time they are stable earner they would have amassed considerable amount of bitcoin stash.
562  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do Bitcoin traders know when it's the best moment to sell? on: March 08, 2017, 06:05:42 AM
Market Analysis, experience, market study and calculated risks. These are major factors in assessing best moment to trade bitcoin.  There is also a gut feeling for some traders. Once calculated risk pays off you are good.
So if you analysis shows price may rise then set up a target and adjust the stop-loss lock wait for price rise.
563  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL : ETF approval or disapproval on: March 08, 2017, 05:59:34 AM
There is slim chance of ETF approval and rejection wont plunge the cost of btc much. However some correction is expected.
564  Local / India / Re: Axis, HDFC, ICICI banks will charge Rs.150 per transaction after 4 transaction on: March 08, 2017, 04:54:43 AM
These sort of regulations and fees would keep customers away from bank. You can call it loot but i wont be affected because i rarely do go to bank to make any transaction, hope they will start charging for everything in the future even ATM transactions. These kind of silly fees will make people away from the bank but will it attract them to alternative sources could be seen in the future.
Now SBI has also increased the minimum balance required to maintain a savings
account and penalty for non-
maintenance of minimum balance
will be between Rs 50 and Rs 100.This is ridiculous as there are lots of middle class people who have saving account in SBI and maintaining such a high minimum amount all the time may not be possible for them.

Exactly. I think they are also going to charge INR 50 for more than 5 cash deposits.
With banks fucking us with such charges, it might pave the way for Bitcoin (or maybe an alt?).

EDIT: SBI is charging INR 50 for more than 3 cash deposits.

This govt and banks backed by govt are scaling new height of harassment and exploitation. Could you imagine what this means to the traders and farmers, people from rural India. These moves on curbing cash transactions will backfire. People will tend to keep less money in banks.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: March 07, 2017, 02:27:41 PM
Investment require no trading skills whatsoever however it require to research the correct investment plan and company.
Trading require acute understanding of market, experience and skills.

Both of them require little bit of luck. Wink
566  Local / India / Re: Please stop buying bitcoins from India on: March 07, 2017, 02:05:06 PM
Today out of blue zebpay dropped bitcoin price to 83k and after time it was switched to the 91k. Now imagine situation of people who initiated the trade by putting money when rate was 83 and by the time their transaction was cleared by zebpay, rate was back to 91k.  Tongue
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 07, 2017, 06:54:05 AM
When a big crash in world economy happens then increase is observed in commodity market not in currency market. Specifically food, grain, medicines, gold, silver.  Check any global economy disaster to verify these points.
568  Local / India / Re: How CoinSecure & BTCXIndia collect fees? on: March 07, 2017, 06:38:41 AM
I think OP got confuse that they are charging double fees i.e they deduct the btc as well the Rs and in the end buyer/seller pays double fees. But this is not the case op. Its simple and straightforward.

Let me correct you, there is double charge because we have to pay 0.3% for every buy or sell, means if a buyer is buying 1BTC at 100,000 INR, then he will receive only 0.997BTC , where as seller will end up with only 99700 INR for selling his 1BTC to above person.

So here mind games come from coinsecure, for 1 BTC trading they got 0.003BTC + INR 300 as fees, which looks like totally unethical in my opinion, they should charge fees only in one way either for buying or selling only.
There isn't any mind game nor any unethical practice involved. This is true for most of exchanges. Coinsecure is cost-effective considering all trade.  Important point is "fees is charged per transaction irrespective of buy or sell".  Lets consider following scenarios:
* Scenario I : You as customer/buyer
When you purchase a bitcoin. This is one transaction from your side. Thus transaction fees applied.

* Scenario 2: You as seller
When you sell a bitcoin. That is another transaction. Thus transaction fees applies.

If you had traded in stock market or commodities then it would have been obvious to you. That is how market works. That is how exchange owner earn their living or profit.

If you dont want to pay any transaction fees then Exchanges from China would had been the only option for you.

570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price will not crash if the ETF is rejected on: March 06, 2017, 11:31:45 AM
I think a lot of people is going to go bankrupt with their short expectations.

ETF or not, bitcoin is growing and too strong, it will keep growing. If the ETF is rejected, it just means we are closer than we were from an ETF getting accepted. The SEC will give up the final recommendations and changes required for the ETF to get passed the next time. This is a long term race. ETF rejected means nothing. Shorts that are expecting a big crash may have their short positions backfire.
Good, that you also think price is not rising due to ETF. Now that you mention that bitcoin will not fall after ETF rejection, could you share you thoughts on why bitcoin price is increasing in first place? There must be other reasons or justification for price rise. Is it another pump and dump?

Reward rate is very low and earning some side income with this rate (2000 captcha =~ 16-17 hours is as bad as wasting time. Either raise the reward or Better to look for other signature campy from service section

* Why would a youngster want to buy bitcoin or digital currency which cant serve todays purpose like purchase courseware, pay fees, etc.
* Considering btc is around $1200 to $1300 at this stage and If you are living with your parents then how much are you getting monthly to purchase "bitcoins" monthly?
* Isn't this advise better suited for young earners? Who are earning on their own.

Let's keep youngsters out of this and let them focus on study.
573  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin will reach $2000 to $10000 in 2017 and $100k by 2026. on: March 06, 2017, 10:04:33 AM
people keep on speculating infinite price of bitcoin, easily forgets to keep things like block size limitation altogether and other. This is not working product whose price will keep on increasing exponentially just because it was/is rising now. There are technical limitation that needs to be taken care first, things like scalability are very important. Some treat bitcoin as commodity or stock market start drawing conclusion.
It is fair to expect bitcoin to reach 2k by end of 2017.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 06, 2017, 05:01:27 AM
Those who still believe bitcoin is dead or is about to then it is obvious they have their head in the sand for so long. They could pull out their head from the sand and look around. Bitcoin is not dead yet and in fact it is booming.
575  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: March 05, 2017, 04:58:22 PM
Looks like bitcoin is stagnated around 1270$ . Minor dump is observed but it was quickly recovered with the another pump.

Every bank irrespective of private or Govt. owned  they all care for themselves only. They are for earning profit. Sooner or later Govt owned banks may join train.
579  Local / India / Re: New to BitCoin : Need Info on Few Things About Trading - pls. help on: March 04, 2017, 12:56:43 PM
Thanks so much for the prompt reply !

What would be a good exchange to start trading ? coinsecure or something else ?

what is "pump and dump" ?

Also what does HODL mean ? These might all be very common but am just learning...with a little help will soon get up to speed Smiley

* coinsecure is really good. You could try pocketbits.in[1] as well.  Pocketbits.in is open 24x7 and has fast KYC procedure to get you going. Currently KYC with coinsecure is loaded thus you may face delay of some days or some weeks depending on load at coinsecure. So for quick start check pocketbits along with coinsecure. BTXindia and localbitcoins[2] as well.

[2]  https://localbitcoins.com

* pump and dump is a phenomenon commonly observed in stock, bitcoin exchange, where big players with load of financial strength create artificial hike in price. Once other people starts to purchase on large scale they simply dump their holdings and earn huge profit. This causes sudden drop in price.  Any unjustified rise in price is potential sign of 'pump and dump' scenario.

* HODL is bitcoin lingo which means don't sell your bitcoins for short term gain. Instead hold them for longer for bigger returns.

pocketbits.in is a new exchange and they aren't active on forums too. I would suggest not to go for it.
Go for coinsecure.in or unocoin.com(if coinsecure is too overwhelming for you) they might take longer to get you verified but that ain't too bad.

Also have a look at cryptowat.ch, it list all major international crypto exchanges.
Only problem with Coinsecure is that KYC verification. It is open secret in the forum. Once KYC is done, coinsecure is more preferred over other options. Given that coinsecure has quick withdrawals.
580  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: March 04, 2017, 12:35:31 PM
are there any still waiting for bitcoin for $100/btc?  If there are then they need to get out it.  There is no way bitcoin plunging to that low.  There is growing chance of bubble burst or at least correction.
