561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 01:47:54 PM
Telegram members are bought/sold by the big groups and I don't think expert investors will care about the opinion of random people from the online groups. Telegram is a good choice for following the news, updates from the various projects but I doubt it is ok to take seriously the crowd count for making an investment choice. AFAIK, the projects hire the best telegram group managers for managing their daily social activities.
Telegram is a way to communicate to investors, bounty hunters and the followers but not one should use telegram as their basis for investment. Expert investors knows that trusting someone is too risky, and telegram is full of scammers. Maybe if KYC implemented on Telegram, the volume of scammer will be lessen then you can now consider to ask people about your investment but still you have the job to study the project.
Of course, no one is using telegram that way. It is not actually a good basis for investment, Telegram group is just a source of information or updates of a certain project. Every decision should be done by the investor itself and not because of the information he gets in a group, investment should be done with more research.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 16, 2019, 12:39:38 PM
I’m not a massive gambler (as in I don’t gamble with more than I can afford to lose).

Then you don't experience the real thing about gambling. When you suffer losses in gambling, that is the time you will look for a way for you to avoid getting losing. Doing some analysis and investigation about winning more than losing.

We all know that losses are unpredictable, but having strategies can also lessen the risk of losing money. Just limit your bet to your maximum amount that you can.
Is it really matter how massive gambler you are to experience the real thing about gambling? I think it's not. As he said, he didn't gamble with more than he can afford to lose and I think it is just the same with other gamblers. It is not true that he wasn't able to experience the real thing, he experiences losing and winning, he also looks for a way to avoid losses even having small money to play.

I can probably guarantee you that over the years I am at losses though. I haven’t kept a record of the damage, probably a good thing though Cheesy

Counting all your losses is essential so that every time you lose a certain amount of money, you can retrieve it. You should list it to your note, all the money you've spent. So that when you try to gamble every time, you have an amount to reach for you to win and reclaim all your losses.

Not having a record will lead you to ignore all your losses. When that happens, you are not aware of all the damage you had in gambling.
I don't think it is necessary to list your losses. Well, as for me, as you win is what matters the most. Thinking of your losses will only make you greedy, as long as you win, the past losses will not matter.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: November 16, 2019, 10:52:08 AM
if he did not listen to those people near him personally then how can a random posters like us will be his pick?no he is the only one who can help himself as nothing we can do but post here, but the decision is from him for sure.
You have a point with that but sometimes these people listen to random people on internet if it's really extreme on their part. And it has not been answered yet if he followed to those people that advised him before.

Yes, there are types of people who actually listen to some stranger and absorb their advice, those people sometimes have a psychological disorder where they prefer to listen to other people than those people near them.

he can win them back if he wants to because the wife and children is only looking for him to be progressive and provider and not this kind of attitude in which pure gambling and i am sure the family is starving because of this stupidity.
The solution could be him leaving gambling for real but it's up to him on how he can show his willingness in front of his children and wife.
That's his only choice if he did not want to lose even his wife and children.
He should accept the fact that gambling is not really for him.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: November 16, 2019, 09:29:22 AM
Crypto currency is decentralized in which very highly secured but to be more specific crypto bank is somehow not decentralized though it depends the features that they will provide due to the fact of many users here in crypto currency community as many users want to know in detailed about it. As my own thoughts much better to be secured by our own hardware wallet rather that to be secured by anyone else. Likewise, I don't think it will be supported by many users as well as by those investors here in crypto currency community.
I dint even think that banks can secure our own cryptocurrency as much as we can secure it ourselves because that is the only way that I see banks coming in with the promise of securing our crypto. There is no need to actually have bank since we already have our own wallet as our bank, and even the exchanges that are good at it still will not be able to guarantee full security for their users who have kept money in their wallet.

Banks are just trying to stay relevant because of the fees they do charge which I think with this decentralized coin, it will be impossible for them to cope. If banks are being created for cryptocurrency again, I just see it as waste and an irrelevant project which makes no much sense to me. The time for banks is beginning to get outdated.
As for using banks as the third party in our crypto or a financial institution to hold our crypto is a fine matter. If it is regulated by the government then we can assure that our crypto is safe even if it is public or private banks. However, more of crypto users will still prefer holding their own funds in a cold/hardware wallet just to make sure that its own safety.

It may be a waste for you if banks will be built in crypto, but I think there are some crypto users that are approved of this discussion. I think if banks have been implemented in crypto, we do have our own choice if we are going to use it or not. There are hardware wallets that we can use, so it is our choice.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: not a rule! but it's about your common sense to avoid scam projects on: November 15, 2019, 02:24:19 PM
The rule is of course golden but tell me who is investing in ico now and if people are investing, tell me which companies? Because the credibility of new projects is very small for obvious reasons.

At this time it's unlikely to earn in ICO or new projects as the market is still in bear and the scammer are still everywhere, it will be better to invest in existing companies and been in the market thru dump and pump since they can cope on the market's volatility just make sure those project have vivid plan for their future like chainlink who keeps pushing having investors and more partnerships.
Let's be clear, scammers are always there, they are not staying still or what, they will always be there as long as there is money involved.
You mean, invest only in the coins which are already launched in the market? How are we able to have newly launch coins in the market? If no investors will fund the project, no new coins will be launched.

So please remember to practice your Due Diligence
One of the most important things to remember, without it, analyzation of the current situation of the market will be impossible.

B was already taken by the user above you. We are both late. I miss the days that krogoth raffle is not this fast to be full.

I'll still go for BTC

since there are two raffles compressed into one as he said.
So I think my submission is still valid.

the two raffles are compressed into one. so, yes, two different users can choose 1 slot.

568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one makes sense on: November 15, 2019, 12:04:26 PM
Both has its own plus and minus. Most cases in here, bounty started before its fundraising. Kinda rare to find a bounty while fundraising is ongoing. But sometime there's a bounty that finished their private sale. Whichever you choose to, anything could happen at the end of the day. If you're joining a bounty before the fund raising, you won't know if it will succeed or not, and in the middle of fund raising you could see how many investors are in there to invest their money. With all that in mind, you could know how well the projects will be.
It's not actually rare I think, you can track a certain campaign until their fundraising started and have progress. After you see their progress, whether if it is a good start or bad, it will become your go signal to decide to join or not.

If the project is the potential as you want, join earlier, waiting is a waste of time. Also, the first choice is more appropriate because the stakes reserved for jr.member are small. Some may fail, but if you catch one you succeed, the others will be forgotten quickly.
If you are sure and ready to work from the beginning until the end of the project, it is much better. Supporting a project you see potential with from the beginning is better to watch the project closely. Whether it succeeds or not, its result will remain unknown until it ends.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment on: November 15, 2019, 10:36:34 AM
Ok so I took a look at the person's reply, and this is probably the quote by jossiel that you're questioning: "Buy bitcoin using the salary you will earn from your day job."

To be fair, based on that reply alone(not sure about jossiel's other posts), jossiel didn't necessarily mean that the OP should put all his/her money on bitcoin; just that OP should buy bitcoin using the OP's salary. Which I'd say is completely fine, depending on the OP's finances.

This guy is right,
As I understand, he didn't mean to suggest to OP or to anyone who will read his post to buy or put all their salary to bitcoin. There is no specification but just a pure suggestion of how good is bitcoin as an investment.

But I agree with your main post. People shouldn't go all in on bitcoin, and always take risks into account when investing in anything. Also knowing that bitcoin can drop down tomorrow to 3 digits so it really isn't wise to go all in.
That is actually the main point here, investing in bitcoin should be an investment that you can risk to lose. Investment is very risky which you should have an extra savings to cover your expenses once your investment was on hold or not in good condition.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: November 14, 2019, 01:09:03 PM
What happens if BTC is still rally to 100K ?
ALTS ?? dump to zero

no, I'm sure altcoin will survive. because it is impossible bitcoin forever rali and go up to 100k. there must have been a pump before, and this pump will be a momentum for altcoin to rise.
They will survive, but I don't think that all altcoins can get along with the momentum of increase in price of bitcoin. There are altcoins that still remain low even bull run have come already.

Most people will be happy if bitcoin reach 100k, mostly of also altcoins keep value for bitcoin so they get some from alrcoins, if altcoins price will drop when bitcoin reach 100k will not be ok at all for most people who hold altcoins.
That's for sure, every crypto users will be happy since we are really hoping for that to happen. Just expect that altcoins will increase too the same as how bitcoin will increase its price.

Its stupidity if every bounty hunters keep thinking that solid projects will always get into crypto every month, its not possible that is why many wasted their times on useless projects, solid projects comes once in a while just be on your guide and you will know when you see them, quit trying your luck for nothing
It's not stupidity, they are just hoping that every month or even every quarter there is one good campaign to be published. It is not that right to call it stupidity if they only wanted their work to be paid off.
You're a bounty hunter yourself, you may feel the same way as other bounty hunter.
573  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: November 14, 2019, 06:03:45 AM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?

Governments are going to be tracking cryptocurrency accounts. They probably already are but are a little behind in the technology. Bitcoin isn’t really anonymous because once you open an account at a store or exchange and provide your identification, all transactions can be traced.

Bitcoin is only partially anonymous, not fully. But it offers basic anonymity that is already enough for the majority of the people. What do you mean by opening an account at a store? When it comes to exchanges, it is best if you can do it all at a decentralized exchange. If not, you should at least limit your deposits and withdrawals up to a certain amount that falls within the limit of an unverified account.
I can't understand what he said about opening an account in a store, whether it is an online store or what?

Using an exchange that request their users to do KYC verification is safe and will remain you anonymous in the eyes of other people. It is the exchange policy to protect its user's identity. But yes, if doing kyc is against an individual's will, it's better to use an exchange that do not require KYC to its users.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Loan app on: November 14, 2019, 03:04:19 AM
I'm so sad for today I have many loan,to play primedice.com,but I'm not lucky I'll loss everything.....I thing I comet suicide,,,,

Good idea, you can try that.
However, if you're planning to suicide with a comet and you succeed, given how slim the chances of getting hit by a comet is, wouldn't that make you extremely lucky?
That'd contradict the reason you chose to suicide.

 Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Since when did committing suicide a good idea? Dont make fun of his english as we all know that what he means is commit not comet. How would you feel if he did follow your advise? I am not being self righteous but if you dont have anything good to say or post, just dont post at all please.
I think he just misunderstood the main point of OP.
Suicide will never be a good idea, and it should not be tolerated. Hoping that OP will never do such a thing, since his problem is just money, and it is something that should not be the main cause of an individual to commit suicide.

576  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 13, 2019, 09:06:00 AM
Many people hurry up for investing after John McAffe recommended with altcoin for investing, never have in their mind with last coins prediction by him, have raise success with higher price or down. Right now I can't trust any one else give prediction with bitcoin and altcoin price, I think looking with exchange update is most important to know which one coin will get raise up.

Bitcoin surely will rise up to $10K, $20K, without any doubt.
Even people who have bought bitcoin at the ATH will make profits if they are patiently waiting for bitcoin to reach new ATH in the next year.
Just look at exchange price doesn't mean you'll know which one will rise, it's based on the fundamental of a coin, some have good potential while most of alts will be left behind when bitcoin in bulls run.

It is possible or even higher than the last ATH of bitcoin.
If people can still wait for another ATH and do not sell their investment, they are probably gonna make a profit, but no one knows if those investors at previous ATH of BTC is still holding or already cut their losses.

I do agree, looking at the market or in the chart will not give you any hint of possible thing to happen in crypto prices.
577  Economy / Services / Re: I need Philippines Virtual Phone Numbers on: November 13, 2019, 07:51:25 AM
If you can provide these numbers at a very cheap price, i would be buying in bulk daily. I would need it for verification so probably I should be able to get the sms code from it.

Send me the information and I'll see into it if I can approve providing you numbers, I can provide you at least 500+.
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: November 13, 2019, 05:21:01 AM
Exactly the topic was going a bit off track. People will not be convinced by just saying bitcoin investment is something you must try because it gives you profit, they need to see something in order for them to believed like besides giving bitcoin to them, you can show them how you invest in bitcoin and how will you earn your profit in there, once they know how to do something they will surely be interested in it and will definitely ask you some more about bitcoin investment.
To see is to believe, that is the common thing comes to their mind.
Showing them on how it was done is a good thing but it is not enough, it is like you're spoonfeeding them, it is better to let them make research to know how it's done and how it works. Knowing the possible ROI will make them get into bitcoin and that would be a better way than just letting them enter without proper knowledge.

as you said to see is to believe. so once your friends or colleagues have done their homework and understand a lil bit about crypto, you can tell them to create an account for their online wallet or any of that sort, and will send them few satoshis to see how it works, and let them convert it to your fiat currency. so there you go, you just showed them that bitcoin can have actual value in your local currency. that action alone can show them that bitcoin can somehow be considered as real money already
I think it will only work if they understand how it can be used.
Well, it is for sure easy for them to understand since bitcoin is user-friendly and can be used by anyone.
By showing them how it was working, and by knowing that it can be used as an alternative option to pay through online, non-crypto users will continue using it.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is twitter a good source of info? on: November 13, 2019, 03:12:02 AM
Twitter is extremely limited, it is not supposed to be used for any kind of lengthy discussion, so the amount of valuable information that you can find there is very low, especially if what you are looking is for a deep analysis about what is happening in the markets.
Actually it is not that limited, social media or twitter updates can easily spread quickly through tweets and retweets.
By using hashtags tweets can also be found so easily.
And twitter is even worse because in there you only find users or in some cases bots spreading false information about what is happening in the market which try to influence you to buy or sell your coins.
I do agree with some users using a bot to spread false information, but it is not something like a big deal. You can easily avoid and block those bots to avoid receiving false information.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters do not need to wait for altcoin season on: November 13, 2019, 01:11:42 AM
I’m still a bounty hunter accumulating good tokens not the shit  Grin and I’m willing to wait. But I believe once the space is more regulated crypto will become more an ideal place to make descent income, however despite the low morale of ICO’s nowadays there are still genuine projects that are worth joining a campaign.
You are bounty hunter but joining with Yobit signature campaign, maybe you are looking instant payment and have know how much btc received every day than joined with bounty campaign without know when listing and distributing. I will joining bounty campaign although altcoin season not come soon, for me joining bounty campaign is best way how to earn free altcoin.
He is just doing another task since bounty hunting is not profitable anymore. I don't see anything wrong with that. Whether he is looking for an instant payment or not, as long as his task was done properly, it is all good to be part of any campaign.
So, you are saying you are also joining bounty campaigns, then why telling someone that he is looking for instant payment? Then you are also doing the same thing as you said to him Wink
