Hi i've been looking for investments. please tell me where is the fastest way to earn money. is it bitcoin or stockmarket? from todays point of view. Please respect my post, thank you!
If you asking on a forum where to put your money then maybe investing is not for you friend....

There's nothing wrong in asking for opinions, as long as you're aware they're just opinions not facts and will do your own research before taking any actions.

Melds39 wins the tablet for being the unluckiest player with 20 losses at 49.4%.

Thanks for taking part. Will run another one soon.

Congrats to all.

Especially melds, you don't often have a chance to be happy about losing 20 times in a row.

*** GIVEAWAY ***

Edit: Giveaway now closed

OK, so I've decided to do an experimental promo, here's how it goes:

First 10 people will be tipped BTC0.001 each. And whoever wager the most until Fri 23rd Jan, 20:00 (London time) will also get the reward of BTC0.01. Not much, but it's free.

All you need to do:

  1) Sign up through my referral link: https://safedice.com/?r=488

  2) Click 'Get started', then click on your temporary username (top-right corner), click 'Personal' and create desired username and choose password.

  3) You need to deposit and wager at least 1 satoshi. I don't like this requirement, but players with zero wagered are not shown on referral list, so it's necessary.

  4) Post your username in this thread and I'll tip you BTC0.001 as soon as I can.

  5) On Fri 23rd Jan, at 20.00 (London time) the player who will wager the most will get additional BTC0.01. There will be max. of 10 players and I don't expect any whales to sign up, so you can possibly win with relatively small amount wagered.

  6) Have fun and good luck!

Notes:

- I'm not on this forum 24/7 so please be patient, I'll reply and send tips as soon as I can.
- I'll try to post a screen-shot on Fri 23rd showing a proof of the BTC0.01 winner.
- Only members with accounts created before the date of this thread are eligible to participate.
- I'm not the owner or operator of SafeDice.com, if you have any technical difficulties, please seek advise in the official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=868275.0

Depends what you're looking for. If you want to invest big money, then stocks seem better option as it's less risky. If you have small amount but still hoping for large return - you have better chance with bitcoin, although you'll be risking a massive loss.

Or you could just invest in both. Say 90% in stocks and 10% in Bitcoin.
5616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: January 18, 2015, 10:37:45 AM
I think one thing that may case to bitcoin, I read Some where that BTC can be used for feeding Terrorist and other Illegal ways like black money transfer, laundering money etc. People can send their Black money any where with out being located.

~ OTS ~

That's correct. These are real facts not only rumors.

Care to share at least one of these facts where bitcoin was used to sponsor terrorist? I'm not talking about some guy speculating that bitcoin could be used for such, I'm talking about confirmed facts.

Thanks in advance

yes:   https://alkhilafaharidat.wordpress.com/

Can't see it... Can you copy/paste the relevant part?
Also, if these are 'real facts' I'm sure you can find any more serious source than wordpress blog?
5617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price seems to be the final indicator of it's success or failure! on: January 17, 2015, 07:01:56 PM
No it is not.
I think, the most important indicator is transactions per day. That says a lot more about the currency than the price.

I am a litttle concerned can we trust that stat however, i think the transactions per day would be higher now anyway so yeah...
No, we can not really trust that stat, but we could tweak it, e.g. by measuring the transactions per day of the 100 biggest merchants.

Or just number of purchases from BitPay and Coinbase. Number of transactions + amount.

But still, that's just one of many indicators. Buying things is not the only use of bitcoin. And I reckon number of purchases will decline along with the price fall.

5619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price seems to be the final indicator of it's success or failure! on: January 17, 2015, 05:31:49 PM
In a perfect market, price is a good indicator, but BTC's market is twisted. The market will become clearer to read with the number of users increasing. Today, a few people can bring it down or up.

True, the problem is you cannot really compare bitcoin to anything, as it's a new, unprecedented invention/project. So many would just put it in the same categories as stocks or commodities and focus entirely on the price.

But it's not necessarily appropriate. It's a bit like saying that internet is not doing very well because people are not willing to pay high bills for data usage as they did in the past.
5620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price seems to be the final indicator of it's success or failure! on: January 17, 2015, 05:23:19 PM
Market cap is a much better metric than price because the price is proportional to the the number of bitcoins.

Well, yes. If you have a high inflationary coin, looking only at the price per coin without checking market cap could give you the false picture.

But for someone who bought such coins as an investment, market cap is irrelevant, he would be only interested in price per coin, and he would likely define the success or failure of the coin only by its price.
