I prefer 100% reinvestment in hardware , higher volumen , cheaper chips ,higher asset value  ^ Thats probably the dumbest idea i've ever heard...we would receive no mining dividends. and in response to Ken- Fair enough, my only concern is that the .0025 wont be repaid back in a timely manner In fact i think its an interesting idea. If ken would keep all divs and reinvest them all we could build very fast a very big farm and buy many more miners to sell. So a month without divs might lead to a way higher div later. Of course it had to be calculated through thoroughly if it would work this way. |

A one-time 0.06 div from this entire batch is hardly gonna save these shares.
well, the share price has increased 30+% since the news of these broke. And while .06/share is not huge, it is 20 times greater than the last dividend. I imagine it will be split over several weeks, looking at .015/week at most. That being said, I don't think this revenue is meant to "save" the share price, but merely keep things afloat until the next gen/deployment happens. If divs can be larger than .01 a week for 4-6 weeks, I think you'll see share prices go to 1.5 or beyond. And that alone shows how naive the investors are who move their price perception based on dividends that'll only last weeks at best. Thats just like when people bought AM above 5BTC because they were paying divs from 40% of the network, which was clearly unsustainable. Very easy for you to say after it did happen. Back then everything was said to be on track and as predicted. Since FC was underpromising and overdelivering such expectations were justified. As we learned along the way information was not spread evenly among shareholders and we could see that some investors were selling in panic. Like eb3full for example who suddenly and out of nowhere put his 3500 shares on "pay what you want, now" sale auction. Also Vycid commented something like "I know some big whales who will be dumping soon". If I remember correctly. So in my opinion only those who were privileged to information about incoming gen2 failure could make such a short call. Or those who were betting that after successful streak friedcat will trip on something eventually. 3500 shares arent enough to get a place in the privileged forum. |

38gh for 2btc? What's something like that produce per day at current diff? (0.02 btc)....so 100 days roi with no dif increase...it will never make more than it costs.
Useless at this price....incredible...we are seeing every new device that comes out with a negative profitability.
I think that mining and selling mining devices to the public is going to face plant in the next few months.
And people still buy. It looks like they dont care about. So if the market wants it we should offer it. |

My 20btc that was stuck in processing just got unlocked. I still can't move anything but that does mean work is going on.
good news It means absolutely nothing if I can't move the money out though. I'm still having no luck with that. What does unlocked mean? Its back in your weexchange account? Did you ask for that? If i would have it back in my weexchange account i would buy shares with it. Though i didnt intend to do it. And i pity the ones they sell me shares then and have bitcoins they cant get. |

And even if he said its a technical problem... withdrawing in small amounts appeared to work for some... though it stopped at the end. Which looks like there only was enough money to pay out a part. So when ukyo says its a technical problem it doesnt mean there is enough money there too.
So ukyo... is all the usermoney safe and you did not use it for other things without the users consent? I have doubts because of the tests others did. So i would like to have a clear answer, thanks.

You are forgetting to include the cost to manufacture and ship 500 TH so it will be nowhere near 0.0625 per share.
Friedcat for sure should exclude shipping cost. No other seller is including them. And its psychological far better to exclude them since comparing miners everyone takes the buying price. Shipping cost is mostly forgotten and paid later without complaint. So it was never a good idea to include it in the miner price.
Does anyone have friedcats personal details? I would like to sue him.

At least the divs going down shows that the divs arent fully faked. If they were faked he would keep them at a level or rise them slowly. But not drop them slowly.
Im really interested to know if some more Hashpower will come. Though since nobody in bitcoin world bothers to speak with customers/shareholders anymore... im really angry about this behaviour in bitcoin area.
KNC should be shipping second batch around Nov 15th. In two weeks tm now  Anybody managed to trace ipo cash ?! Then it would be interesting to know how many knc miners sam could have bought back when he had the ipo-bitcoins. Or he bought later from other buyers. Anyway... there has to be a border how much hashingpower he could have bought. He only could break that border if he really has his own asic design and can build miners at cost. Unfortunately i lost trust. Only theorizing. |

As I've posted elsewhere, I also have BTC stuck and have spent 3 days trying to get money out only to get server errors.
However, I did have another amount of BTC stuck which they did free up after a few days. I managed to get that amount out by moving it in small chunks but the moment I took the total over my original released amount, I got money locked again (I had other bitfunder funds to move out). Now any other money gets server errors rather than stuck in processing.
Is it just Ukyo dealing with all the reports? I'm sure most of them could be dealt with just by fixing a few system things.
That doesnt sound good to me. It sounds like there are not enough bitcoins. I really hope i get mine out and im not the biggest withdraw so that i have to hold the bag at the end. Thats so annoying. I really hope the bitcoins are there and werent used elsewhere. |

Its no use. I now saw marto74's offer for the gen2-boards. They are priced for 16 chips at 129. That means 32 miners for one reel. Makes around 30 Bitcoins. The reel costs 30 bitcoins too. Overclocked hashrate of 750GH/s in total. Entering the details in here: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ shows that you never will come near to mine back the price for getting these miners. If your lucky you will get 2/3 back. So i stop here. |

Cant they be overclocked higher? Avalon states turbomode up to 1.6GH per chip but this design here says overclocked 1.5Gh. Wheres the limit?

Status Processing I tried getting contact in weexchange thread, through pm, through weexchange support ticket, skype... nothing. So whats his IRC-Username and on what server? Till now i never had problems with withdraws. It went through fast. But i will stop using it now bitfunder or weexchange. Looks way to dangerous. When i could i would cancel the withdraw and buy shares since im wondering why low bitcoin amounts go through and big are stopped. Sounds a bit like there are not enough bitcoins. And i dont want to be the bagholder that has "theoretical bitcoins". I dont see why this weexchange problem isnt repaired first since its a problem that could help many people in one rush. And its great to read that some guys got this solved after a day... but why werent all transactions solved at that time? I mean it should be seeable clearly that an amount of transactions are stuck. Its probably way easier to clear many tasks of the same kind in one rush than jumping from one task to another and back. After a lot of back and forth i managed to convince them to finish the Job.
Cryptx didnt pay you till now... i dont see a reason why they should do this. Uhm, what? You don't see a reason why CryptX should pay his debts? Can you elaborate? Lost in translation I think... Don't see a reason why he WOULD do this... i.e. Unacceptable behavior I meant i dont see why "they should do this"... meaning why they dont pay burnin all the time. I dont see a good reason for that. That's what I meant. To a native English speaker in that context it still reads "why should they pay". I knew you didn't mean this. Hm... didnt thought that. If i chose shipping in the beginning, Months back. Is there anyway to change to a refund request? And are refunds issued in the bitcoin amount you paid or euros, im assuming euros
You can choose what currency you want to receive (EUR/BTC), the BTC amount will follow the current bitpay-price. Status Update:I received the last batch of boards today . Its correct that the advantage of lower process nodes arent so high in cost like it looks on the first view since a chip is way more expensive. But a big factor to keep in mind is that you save a lot money by assembly, you need less miner boards, you need less work to do for the same TH and you need less space. Not to forget the higher speed to bring up TH.
So as long as you dont plan to sell... for mining lower process nodes have some good advantages.
The NRE costs for all 28nm were payed buy customers preorder funds that were willing to dig their own grave. Not an option for Asicminer. I didnt speak about NRE-Costs at all. Only production costs. NRE-Costs are higher of course too and the higher the diff is rising the more impact has it on future chip production. Thats correct. But isnt asicminer already developing 28nm? I though they developed a 40nm or 65nm chip that didnt work good and now work on 28nm. Or was it another process node? The other companies donīt have to worry about NRE because the customer already took all the risk and funded NRE for no gain. Asicminer has to add the NRE costs to every chip they produce. It is all about costs per Thash including NRE costs. If 5000Thash 40nm are cheaper than 5000Thash 28nm you will go the 40nm way. Imho 65nm has failed and 40nm is in development right now. I dont think so. Once the NRE-Costs are paid and the miners work you can earn the NRE-Cost back in. Every chip on top that you build is cheap then since you can build as many as you want with the profit. But of course the high NRE-Costs are a big factor even more now. |
