5601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Daniel Jacobs vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on: December 22, 2019, 01:36:23 PM
I also notice when it comes to big fights he hard time adjusting winning, like on his fight with Martinez, Alvarez and now Jacobs, he is still young but I wonder where will his career goes after this, he cannot win a match where it matters most, it's time to reinvent himself.

He can't simply reinvent himself at this point of his career. Although there are interview of him saying that the wanted to get back again, but he need time to heal his broken nose and several stitches on his face. But I seriously doubt, he always feel short with high level boxers like you mentioned and he will not be an elite type of boxer. Well, he can fight again for the money and that's it. But to become a world champion, he doesn't have the discipline or the X factor.

5603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Tips on securing our emails on: December 22, 2019, 12:22:21 PM
Also you can check if your email have been compromised using

I also used protonmail for my more secure private emails, good email service and it's for free.
Of course, one of the best practice is not to click any links that you received in your inbox, specially if you don't know the source or the originator of the mail.
5604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hacker: Sentenced two year suspended jail term, & six-month electronic curfew on: December 22, 2019, 11:56:57 AM
Recently, I opened up a thread about Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities . This time, 22-year old Londoner Kerem Albayrak was sentenced today after attempting to blackmail Apple by threatening to factory reset 319 million iCloud accounts and selling the users' data and demanding $75,000 in crypto-currency.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/apple-blackmailed-for-100k-in-itunes-cards-to-avoid-data-leak/

However, I think the sentenced was too weak, I think if this happens in the US Kerem could get heavier punishment. Probably the court wanted to teach the kid a lesson, but we all know that crime is a crime. I disagree with the court's decision though. Those cyber criminals should get harsher punishment.
5605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am meeting with an attorney, have you been damaged by wash trading on binance? on: December 22, 2019, 11:15:53 AM
Honestly, I think you are wasting your time and money. Without any real evidence supporting your claims, I don't think you can win.

Exactly, no offense to the OP, but I think this is going to be difficult to proved your claims. And maybe that's the reason why those 10 law firms have declined your case. Goodluck though, I think you needed a lot of that.
5606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be Careful to Write on: December 21, 2019, 11:22:41 AM
They will get taken down rapidly, but it makes little difference as new ones will have popped up within the hour. It's an endless game of cat-and-mouse. We will never win by chasing them around scam page after scam page. Better just to end the game altogether by teaching everyone to verify their downloads.
We will not win this war, but it's better than doing nothing. And same thing can be said about educating people. We can it as much as we can, but there always will be people who aren't aware about these things, especially newbies in crypto. It's same thing like people who are falling into most obvious scams.

And the good thing is that lately, there are a lot of members exposing them, so it's getting some traction around the community and we do hope that newbies won't fall or at least think twice when they see members exposing the true color of this supposedly fake websites. It's a big mountain to climb, but collaboratively, we might turn the tide in the coming years.
5607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PlusToken affecting the whole Crypto Market including Bitcoin and Ethereum on: December 21, 2019, 10:00:35 AM
Plustoken was a real bummer of crypto market while the interest was growing among the common mass about cryptos! It's goodbthat China police was able to arrest 6 criminals but few more of them are still untouched. I have recently read an article from Chainanalysis which says that scammed cryptos are still moving between different accounts. Read it below,

https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/plustoken-scam-bitcoin-price

They are also estimating that plustoken scammers are probably bringing the price down due to increased supply in the secondary market.

Untouched and the effects that they have done, it has a domino to other crypto as well pulling the price to it's lowest again this year. It was a good read coming from Chainanalysis they've probably nail everything and that's why everyone was wondering why the price keeps going down when we have a lot of good news around. So most probably scammers behind PlusToken are dumping their loot, they don't care what the price is, as long as they can cash it out fast and then disappear.
5608  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: December 21, 2019, 09:32:33 AM
hello we all see a few movement Indicate that btc will go down to 6k is this  possible what would be your opinions
It is not really easy at all to try to tell if bitcoin is going to reach that price, the bears are doing everything that they can to reduce the price of bitcoin but so far the bulls have been able to resist, but I have my doubts about how long this can last, it seems that each time the price goes down the bulls lose a little bit of strength and the bears can make the price to go a little bit lower if at some point some of those bulls give up then we could see a price below 6000.

Well the support along the $6500 price did held and on the contrary the price went on the direction of $7000. Perhaps the bulls did try to get the market back in hope that we will end the year at the good note. Although we're still up by +75% this year.

I won't see this is a reversal, so just be careful, maybe this is another trap, so just be vigilant and let's see how it goes.
5609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Why Bitcoin Suddenly Rebounded Yesterday? on: December 21, 2019, 09:11:12 AM
Coin Shares researchers found the average cost of mining a Bitcoin is approximate $6,300. So, the price jumped to $7,300 yesterday. And it’s profitable for the miners Forbes report said. What do you think?

I really don't understand why you guys keep a connection between the mining profitability and the sudden spike, there's no correlation unless miners are manipulating the price which would I assume won't fit their narrative. Don't listen to Forbes, they've just put articles there's for click-bait and without proper research specially crypto news.

Everything is still based on supply and demand here.
5610  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project support offering on: December 20, 2019, 11:46:46 AM
Hmmm, domain name looks or sounds suspicious to me. There are a lot of fake giveaways plowing in the crypto sphere so I'm not sure if your domain name will not be affected by those cyber criminals taking advantage of this so called giveaways and scam crypto individuals out of their hard earn money, just saying. You can check it out:  Scam Accusations, and see what I'm talking about fake giveaways scam.
5611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 11:18:12 AM
Another day, another bad guy has been caught:

Quote
An alleged teen crook stole the identities of 75 people and swiped $1 million in cryptocurrency — all from the comfort of his Brooklyn apartment, authorities said.

Yousef Selassie, 19, used a sophisticated SIM-swapping scheme to take over the phones of people in 20 different states between Jan. 20 and May 19, 2019, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

He allegedly transferred his victims’ phone numbers to his own iPhones, enabling him to reset their passwords and gain access to their Gmail, cryptocurrency and other accounts. Meanwhile, his victims’ phones would suddenly go offline.

The stolen $1 million came from just two victims, authorities said. Selassie was arrested Dec. 5 in Corona, California, and extradited to New York.

He was arraigned Wednesday in Manhattan Supreme Court, where he pleaded not guilty to 87 counts of grand larceny, identity theft and other charges. Justice Mark Dwyer ordered him to surrender his passport and check in weekly with a supervised release program. The judge did not set bail.

Authorities executed search warrants on Selassie’s Brooklyn and California residences, where they seized half a dozen iPhones, two Rolex watches, a monogrammed Gucci wallet and numerous pieces of high-end jewelry, according to court papers.

It's just a matter of time before these bad eggs are going to be caught, either they make a mistakes or authorities are simply hunting them down. 5-10 years sentence will be enough for this criminals? What do you think?
5612  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Kraken sued by ex-employee on: December 20, 2019, 10:31:53 AM
Regardless of whether he's telling the truth or not, is it possible for Kraken to try to settle out of court? This is just a discrimination suit after all. If so, what will happen to the shady business practices allegations? I imagine regulators are going to be watching this very closely, but I don't know if they could actually use a dropped lawsuit as a basis for an investigation.

This is a precedent if I'm not mistaken, so we can't really say if this could be settled out of court, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kraken did with non-disclosure agreement to silent and let this issue settle down and be forgotten.

For sure regulators are going to keep a close eye on it and see what this precedent affect allegations from former employees.
5613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Trader Scam on: December 20, 2019, 09:23:13 AM
We already have a board dedicated: Scam Accusations. Perhaps you can post your experience there, and if you have screenshots or conversations that will be great.

And I"m sorry for your loss though, scammers, cyber criminals are just around the corner, we need to be very very careful and use our common sense so that we won't fall for this kind of trap. "If too good to be true it probably is".
5614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 20, 2019, 08:51:37 AM
I think the can draw inspirations from the young players who are sought of chasing them out.  Grin. I think if he can still win one slams next year to proved that he still have is, or until his body holds and then finally retiring for good. Even if he retires though, he can still work as a coach.

I also wanted to see Andy Murray return next year as well or at least bounce back and chase another grand slams as well, its going to be long shot but we will see.
5615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop shielding Scam, fake, or unproductive altcoins project on: December 19, 2019, 01:05:43 PM
Scammers really know how to hide their true intentions here. That's why it's very very difficult to figure them out in the beginning. So others might support them without knowing the truth behind. And everything is too late before we realized what had happened.

But there are lots of members here who are trying to help us out. You can go to Scam Accusations and see that they are really doing their best, countless hours of investigations and them exposing them as early so that no one will fall for their trick.
5616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting cryptocurrency through altcoin on: December 19, 2019, 12:42:46 PM
I understand your dilemma (if you can say that):

There are a lot of good projects and altcoins out there and as much as majority hate them, they could really bring people to cryptocurrency. Specially in the field of medicine, there could be altcoins right now that can really close the gap specially regarding medical records.

But sad to say that most of the people here wanted to get rich and doesn't care about the fundamentals behind.
5617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 19, 2019, 12:10:29 PM
Is it just me or does it feel like its taking forever for the new Tennis season to start.

I have placed a futures bet on the Australian Open for Federer to win outright at $11 odds. Its a long shot however Federer has been great at the start of the season in recent years so I think he has a big shot, of course Djokovic is also very good at the start of the season however I went with some value.

LOL, yeah it feels like forever waiting for the official tennis season to start next year.

I haven't put any bet yet, of course, Federer will still be dangerous early at the start of the season. But I'm looking at the new guns, they might pull some upset next season.
5618  Economy / Speculation / Re: December’s Significance for Bitcoin: All-Time Highs and Bearish Bottoms on: December 19, 2019, 11:43:08 AM
I look it this way, December 2018, price is $3200, now, we have $7000.

However, I'm looking at the lowest low, $3200 this price will be the starting point when we go on another cycle and achieved all time high again. From that price, it will show many many days we are going to get to get to another alll time high, will it be 2000 days if we're going to based it on the last bullish run?
5619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: handling bitcoin volatility on: December 19, 2019, 11:15:13 AM
Everyone who has ever traded for more than a couple of hours have had episodes where their trades are wrecked because of bitcoin volatility reflecting on the whole market.

Besides stop lose, I heard several traders, hedge  their asset to stable coins.

What tips do you guys have regarding protecting yourself from bitcoin sudden moves?

It's really hard when you trade through this ups and downs, as I have said, hedging is one, but I don't know if that will be applicable in your case though. You really have to go to this painful process of being a trader before you can fully understand how to protect yourself from the sudden price move.
5620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey, Crypto and Africa on: December 18, 2019, 11:38:13 AM
But I believed that unless Africa improved their infrastructure then crypto might thrive in that continent. I admire Jack's enthusiasm about Africa and pushing Bitcoin to at least mainstream, however, there are more pressing issue there that the government doesn't have the resource to build infrastructure that will help and support the growth of crypto in Africa. But let's see how it pans out.
