5621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner's Guide to Bitcoin Halving - an Infographic on: April 28, 2020, 07:25:23 AM
Halving should mean a price increase, and arguably past halving events have led to increases, but the more it happens, the more people anticipate the same happening next time, and so buy up bitcoin ahead of the event, which drives up the price before the halving actually happens.

Quite true although on the long run, the halving effect will still have a positive impact on bitcoin price as it decrease the supply of bitcoin flowing into the market provided the optimism is still there. Irrespective of how the market plays out, it'll still be a win-win situation for bitcoin as the price is likely to raise before the event in anticipation of a appreciate in price after the event which is also likely to happen, the price decline that might follow should just be considered a correction because that's what it's not basically a dump.

If it raises before the event, we profit, and when it also raise after the event, we still profit. When the corrections (dump) comes, we load our bags in anticipating for future gains.

@coingecko kudos for creating this infographic of bitcoin halving. Looks simple, very self explanatory and educative.
5622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 28, 2020, 06:05:20 AM
Is that enough? Surely not, nothing would make you be ready like a real game, thats why teams plays friendlies before the seasons start, even if you play a team 10 levels worse than you, nothing beats a real game, not even 11vs11 practice matches, yet right now we can't have anything like that so social distancing trainings are still better than just staying at home or working out alone or working out with family and friends, this is at least a bit better.

Solution; sanitised social distancing training where the shooters (players) will have to sanitize the ball before kicking and the goal keepers sanitize their gloves after catching the ball lol. The whole idea of social distancing is to prevent the spread of the virus, therefore you don't use the excuse of you wanting to keep your team in shape to expose your players (their family members and others they'll come in contact with after they must have finished training for the day) to risk.

Players are encouraged to train indoors and that's enough to keep them in shape and probably before the season resume properly, every/most players will return back to reunite with their teammate and they'll do some practice training in preparation for the upcoming matches.
5623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs from binance not worth holding ? on: April 27, 2020, 04:30:37 PM
what is going on? Is binance IEO just for short time gains only? Are IEO tokens from binance not worth holding ?

To answer all your questions directly, Yes binance IEO aren't worth holding if you're a long term holder especially when you don't have the patience to hold through its downward trends due to fud etc. It's preferable you wait untill the crowdfunding is over and all the hypes dies down then you buy when others are selling off their coins although be cautious not to rush into buying vey quick but wait until you see a strong support level.

Most Investors or 99% of the investors that invest in all Binance IEO are after the quick profit it offers, even the project developers use that opportunity to offload some of their holdings as the outrageous listing fees of Binance causes the project lots of expenses that they'll need funds to continue development of the project (fir legitimate ones).
5624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties explanation and the reasons why many project is failed on: April 27, 2020, 04:20:57 PM
I make this thread because there are so many people is complaining about the failed project, bankrupt, and doesn't distribute their token to bounty participants. They're mad and disappointed from failed project, but they didn't "aware" what he do to their project. If my explanation about bounties etc is wrong, you can suggest to correct it.

Just to clarify something, if out of the carelessness of the project hiring an inexperience manager which doesn't have an experience probably from managing past campaign in combating fake hunters (fake accounts, followers etc) then you go punishing everyone for the mistake of the manager by not distributing the bounty reward as promised prior to them promoting your project, that marks the beginning of your failure in the industry as it takes away trust from the developers of the project.

There's no excuses if your project fails after all the funds you have raise, bounty promoting are to create awareness and this fake accounts can easily be identify especially when the account are been audited. (E.g twitter audit). The success of a campaign begins from employ a qualified manager that'll be ready to work with all his heart to bring about a better promotion for your project.

PS: project fails due to lack of authenticity, poor fund management and planning don't blame it all on the bounty hunters although they also contribute.
5625  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? on: April 27, 2020, 04:03:12 PM
What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? Bitcoin  price bullish or bearish?

The community has a common cycle which involves buying the rumors and selling the news. Prior to the halving event, the price of bitcoin tends to rise and immediately after the event correction comes in as profits are taken. As a result driving the price on a downward trends until it reaches a certain support level then bounce back upward to achieve new all time high price. Well that's how I experience my last halving impact on bitcoin price.

Although this time around things seems to be moving slower than expected. Could be as a result of the current pandemic disrupting the economy as bitcoin price increase isn't that superb. Thought by now we'll be above the $10,000 price mark but all hopes aren't lost yet, we have few days before the halving event and in the industry, minutes are enough to turns things around.
5626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 27, 2020, 06:59:32 AM
I think they should be glad though, of course they have a shot at the title, but I really don't think they would have beat Ajax to it. However, would they have preferred Ajax declared as winners despite being on the same points ? Or were they hoping for the possibilities of being declared as Co-winners

Still though, I think Ajax should have been declared champions,  lets assume all 38 games has been played and the table still stand as it currently did before the season got voided, which team would had been declared champions? Ajax of course or unless there's some sort of criteria they use that I'm not aware of as I don't follow their league neither have I watched any match from the league.

I just think Ajax deserve to be crown champions, for them to be at the top of the league irrespective of having same point with their challenger (having played equal matches) then they most be leading by goal difference. If I'm not mistaking, goal difference is quite enough to win a title.

PS: just confirmed, Ajax had a goal difference of 45goals while AZ Alkmaar had 37 goals, that's 8goal difference.

5629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double spend & greed can defeat your life. on: April 26, 2020, 06:17:33 AM
Just imagine why a person should offer you such as deal since he could use a exchange on 1:1 ratio. That means something is wrong there.

In my short time of involving myself in the exchanging business, don't think such deals (legit ones) are quite uncommon. I have recieved them numerous times and successfully completed the transacting with my patronizers. You just have to be cautious and get familiar with what ever you're interested in. Any user that has interested in exchanging bitcoin for other digital currencies (mostly centralized ones like PayPal, perfect money etce) should be aware of the disadvantage of those services like the charge back policy features etc.

In regards to the doubling spending incident, that's just ignorance as others have mentioned (so I won't have to repeat all they have said) but do understand 10% deals aren't an indication of scam attempts but treat all transactions like an scam attempt until they're successful.
5630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading bounty projects and none trading bounty projects on: April 26, 2020, 06:00:40 AM
Bounties is all about luck this days, while you are busy looking for listed bounties make sure to check on none listed bounty projects too, remember that Cartesi was never listed and no one knew that they will list on binance.

I always have this philosophy of going all in , in whatever I believe in. If you're into bounty hurting and truely you're interested in risking all your time and effort into promoting a project that its chances of succeeding isn't assured then  why go promote coins that are trading on exchanges that is hardly known and probably you'll get paid peanut for those promotion than risking it all in to promote project that'll give you an opportunity to earn big assuming it get listed successful after completing its sales process/bounty.

Before the success of its IEO and listing on Binance, cartesi had the attributes of a promising project and assuming I wasn't occupied with my signature, I would had participated in its bounty campaign.
5631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May I buy Bitcoin & Ethereum now? Or I am late? on: April 26, 2020, 05:45:31 AM
I just read an article that bitcoin halving can make a big jump in Bitcoin and Ethereum price. They said Bitcoin can hit 10K USD, and for that, the author described 5 reasons! So, should I buy now or the price is already high? Which will be more beneficial, Ethereum or Bitcoin? Please help me out.

Thank you.

There could never be a wrong time to buy bitcoin irrespective of what the price is especially when you're investing for the long term and not short term profit. Halving is just few days ahead but don't be too optimistic as the condition of the global economy is also having an impact on the cryptocurrency market in regards to, since people aren't working as usual to recieve paycheck which coul be used to buy bitcoin, money isn't flowing into the industry that much to burst the price of bitcoin.

The effect of halving isn't usual felt immediately sometimes but since it reduces the supply of bitcoin that'll be flowing into the market, it's 99% assured of causing a price increase considering demand remains constant or increases to trigger a rise in the price of bitcoin since we'll now have more demand than supply in the market. As for ethereum, thats just a gamble you could possible take since it's one of the beneficiary of bitcoin price increase.
5632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: April 26, 2020, 05:35:33 AM
but now what we have left is IEO, and I will keep repeating myself over and over for new projects that the success of an IEO is top exchanges, no matter how good your use case is, if you choose p2pb2b or vindax over Okex or binance just have it at the back of your mind that failure awaits you with 80% chance over 100%

There's an atom of truth in what you just said, which shouldn't be so since that'll only attract short term Investors looking for quick profit and would easily dump your project when such opportunities present itself without having second thoughts. IEO should have made crowdfunding more secure in the sense that the trusted exchange would be in charge of overseeing the sale and reduces the chances of getting scammed and that's just it.

But all that have been ignore as the exchange are just concerned about their profit instead of putting the interest of their customers first. Those project that go rushing after this big exchanges find it hard to continue recieving the hype they did recieve at first because just as they had their turns to recieve all the attention, other projects will also have theirs by taking the attention away from them.
5633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are research on altcoins for long term investment worth it?? on: April 26, 2020, 05:26:33 AM
I want to say that any research on altcoin whatsoever is pure waste of time & energy. it's only the coin devs/team and that can guarantee someone the exact time to invest & exit, it is better to invest and hodl altcoins on the short notice and take profits.

Wrong especially when the altcoin can't be easily manipulate by the developers as a result of it been listed on repute exchanges, high trading volume and have a strong community. The only way they can have influence on the price of the coin is by making public announcement that'll either trigger fear or greed in the community like either announcing a bad new or good news in regards to new exchange listing or project development.

Don't discourage research to be done as that's the only way you can assured yourself of the quality of the project you invested in when that project is experiencing hard time (like price decline). If you just invested in any random project out there, you could easily fud when the conditions aren't favourable to the price of that project.
5634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: April 26, 2020, 05:16:43 AM
He managed to cross 30 ETH within less than a month but yesterday, he lost everything once again.
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?

Greed, that's just what was causing your friend to lose all he got after wasting precious times paying to win those bet. Can you link me to that friend? I'll invest same $100 although I'll be monitoring the account and maybe after just winning 10-15 ETH he just have to stop, withdraw some profit and maybe continue gambling to his satisfaction. Individuals easily gamble all available funds in their reach as they are never satisfied with what they have won so far and want to keep on playing until they get tired.

Gamblers especially the addict lose funds ever higher than that amount. One thing that make then feel they didn't lose anything is the fact they would use small amount of funds to gamble and win big and win they decide to gamble back with those funds+profit and losses, to then they only lost their capital since the profit wasn't their initial investment (capital) although that's a very wrong mindset.
5635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you committed, or considered committing, illegal act to finance gambling? on: April 26, 2020, 05:06:20 AM
Have you ever carried out an illegal act just to finance your gambling? Remember this: many have stolen from their parents or from friends to finance their gambling, were you caught or not?  Share your experience with the us and equally advise when necessary.

If I'm not mistaking I think I have done something similar in my childhood but as an adult, don't think I have ever or would ever think about doing such act that are illegal just to go waste them by gambling with the funds. When I was still a kid, the idea made sense to me but now that I'm quite older therefore it doesn't just make sense to do something like that.

The story involved me stealing my friends charge (money) to go gamble on a game that gives you an opportunity to wins balloons as oruzy that will be used to spend the Christmas. Although I won few smaller ones but that wasn't my target as the biggest price which was the biggest balloon in the prize section was not winnable and cost me all my money including that which I stole from a friend.

Btw if the thread has been locked and after that the campaign starts do the applicants not have to send the application again?

No, there won't be any need as the previous applicants application will be reviewed before any other new application are considered after the thread must have been unlocked. Probably the thread will be unlocked with accepted participants been published. I have a strategy that will help me tackle issue relating to users been accepted in other campaign also been given a spot in the campaign. All accepted participants receive a message of appointment from me and any user that doesn't confirm they're accepting the appointment either via PM or on the signature thread in 24hrs gets replace by other available members. It's as simple as that.

PS: My DM is always open for other inquiries to avoid congesting any thread with issue relating to any campaign under my management. You can also use my service thread; ⬛Brainboss Signature Management Services⬛ if you're interested in a public conversation.

Anybody read about the recent development in the Dutch league reporting that Ajax was denied title as Dutch Eredivisie season was declared void, European places decided, no relegation. Could this also be the fate of the premier league, that Liverpool will be denied the title? Before this news, I never saw this coming from any of the leagues but now I have my doubts It'll be a disappointing outcome if Liverpool (team and fans) aren't given what they truely merited, its been over 30years they have been waiting to lift the trophy, can't just imagine what it feel like to be a Liverpool fans right now as the rumors of the uncertainty of the title draws closer.

Just like Manchester city (first title defense season), don't think Liverpool can keep up their form throughout next season to win the trophy in a grand style. The possibility of them winning the league is present but it won't be as potential spectacular as that of this season (losing just one match). That'll be a tough one as ending the season as invincible isn't something any team can do that easily.
5638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 25, 2020, 07:33:54 AM
So,...
-how's it going when it goes to your daily life?
-how's it going when it comes to your social life?
And lastly...
-how's it going when it comes to your gambling life?

My daily routine has been affected in a negative way. I'm getting fat i repeat, I'm getting fat. Tried severally to do some home workout exercise but it seems it's not having any effect on my body as I can't see any difference. Before the lockdown I was on constant gym workout which I used to keep my body in shape and healthy but it seems all that was a waste of my time since I'm rapidly return to my old far self 🤦. Tried minimizing my food intake but that isn't helping matters either.

No difference in my social life, before the lockdown I wasn't much of a outing guy so not missing much due to the lockdown. But my gambling life has received some set back. Not much of a gambler but when I do gamble it's mostly sport related (football to be specific) but since that has been on a hold it also means I haven't gambled for quite sometime now.

I'm also wondering if users lost deposits when the site was taken offline?

I'm still in contact with the developer, we discussed almost daily on telegram. Pretty sure there hasn't been any deposit before the site went down. The site is still been actively worked on, as of when last we spoke. The signature thread was locked even before I discovered the ANN thread has been archived. I got a message from the developer asking if I can still access the ANN thread that he couldn't, I tried before getting the error message. I was also contributing on the thread so was quite angry to see my reply deleted.

In regards to the funds, although I won't hesitate to send it back that's if the signature is to be cancelled since I haven't not accepted any participants to owe them their payment although, I'm still holding the funds. The escrow fund wasn't meant for weekly payment (since the platform was to handle the payment of participants). The escrow fund is to serve as an insurance to my accepted participants.

PS: New ANN will be created when the site maintenance is over and the signature is ready to kick off.
