5621  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Mengapa KYC Sangat Berbahaya dan Tidak Berguna (by 1miau) on: March 11, 2020, 09:44:01 AM
KYC Optimization Using Distributed Ledger Technology by Jose Parra-Moyano and Omri Ross

5622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best place to learn and practice Blockchain? on: March 11, 2020, 05:19:46 AM
Udacity nanodegree program is expensive and probably more suited for someone who wants to get a 'degree'. If you just want to 'learn', I'd not recommend it.

5624  Economy / Economics / Re: WHO encourages use of digital payments due to COVID19 on: March 11, 2020, 03:49:41 AM
If I were to ask- I would change all my money to crypto just to make sure that my valuable assets are safe.

It won't be safe from volatility though. Better diversify it to 3 or more assets such as gold (which is currently skyrocketing), bonds, etc.

That being said, I believe contactless payment alternatives other than crypto has been used since years ago. NFC payment card, or using your phone to pay is relatively familiar for South Korean for example. I won't be so optimistic about this. Better spend the time to develop and increase more nodes to strengthen the network.
5625  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to invest in bitcoin and crypto 2020 [NEW] on: March 11, 2020, 03:32:51 AM
Still, I think there it can be a misunderstanding. When you say "invest", no one thinks that you only mean "buy bitcoin" or eventually trade with cryptocurrency.

I think the 'invest' term is closely related to buying something and holding it till you can be a millionaire. Just like when you said 'invest in gold', 'buy gold', etc.

Anyway, the misunderstanding (if it ever happens) would be cleared quickly as soon as the readers continue reading the article. It's not like the title is a clickbait after all.
5626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best DEX for date ? on: March 11, 2020, 03:21:05 AM
Since when a DEX will ask you your personal information. (if I'm correct this exchange will require the KYC verification).

I also vaguely remember this but can't find any credible source. So far I can still use it but they've already geoblock user IPs from various countries. But they did touch this issue when they talked about their IDO thing[1].

Its not a real DEX when you get to have a BEP address and tokens will be stored to their platform.

What do you mean? I don't remember sending my tokens to a dedicated address if I want to exchange by BEP based tokens in Trust Wallet.

5627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a FIAT to Crypto payment gateway for website on: March 11, 2020, 03:04:26 AM
The website will be accepting BTC as well but having it accept credit cards will probably increase sales.

I get your point. But looking for a service like that is a bit difficult. Which is why the websites that I posted above doesn't have enough review, to begin with, so proceed with extreme caution.

Another solution is to have a separate payment processor and then you have to manually convert your fiat to Bitcoin.

Btw, avoid double posting as it breaks forum rules.

Last update: 21 Agustus 2020.

1. Crypterium | https://crypterium.com
- Jenis kartu
UnionPay Prepaid Card / Visa Prepaid Card.
- KYC
Ya. Butuh ID, foto selfie nulis tanggal & word tertentu dan proof of residency kalau mau dapetin kartu fisik dan virtual. Verifikasi ID dan selfie cukup cepet, proof of residency lebih lama.
- Fee
- Udah 3DS?
Tidak jelas.

2. AdvCash. | https://advcash.com * Update terbaru sementara issuance untuk worldwide card masih dihentikan.
- Jenis kartu
Visa Prepaid Card.
- KYC
Ya. Butuh ID, verifikasi nomor HP dan proof of residency. Verifikasi lumayan cepet (sejauh yang OP coba).
- Fee
- Udah 3DS?
Ya.

List bisa berubah tergantung kondisi jasa/layanan.

Report to moderator should be enough. If the topic is still valuable, request the mods to lock it. Else, ask them to trash it if possible.

I also share the same thought that the 5 post (or whatever number it is) is not necessary. What we need is an active engagement to report if something has already been answered. Not prolonging the discussion or adding a bunch of unnecessary stuff, or even worse, repeating what others already said.
5631  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Studi Kasus Steemit & Justin Sun Perihal Takeover & Etika Exchange on: March 10, 2020, 03:22:28 PM

5632  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy Virtual Visa Card with BTC - Save 35% Globally Accepted‎ on: March 10, 2020, 06:34:25 AM
The whois record shows that the website is created around a month ago[1]. So, how did you save $34 million and have 17 thousand customers?

Looks like this one[1] or this[2] can do this for you. I can't vouch for them though.

Why not accept BTC directly instead of routing it through credit card?

5634  Other / Meta / Re: Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: March 10, 2020, 04:47:24 AM
It is surprising that Indonesian board has over a thousand posts in a single month, considering there is an apparent decrease of posts in the mainboard. I believe the majority comes from the alt sections which is 'spammy friendly' since a long time ago, though right now it significantly got better.

Prior to the appointment of the merit source in our local, the whole board was lacking quality and was infested with spams which were being posted for the sake of gaining post count. Apart from this, there was no improvement in the total activity of the board and most of the users have moved onto the global boards and significantly the interest in the local board started diminishing as well.

We have a similar situation there. Right now it's much better though. The merit/post ratio is much better than I expected.
5635  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Studi Kasus Steemit & Justin Sun Perihal Takeover & Etika Exchange on: March 10, 2020, 12:47:36 AM

5636  Economy / Economics / Re: Help of cryptocurrency in globalization. on: March 09, 2020, 11:48:53 PM
They were concerned about the speed and the process and the cryptocurrency just failed to meet their standards.

Which crypto and when does this testing take place? If they prefer speed I believe even a less decentralized PoS system like Ripple can still handle 100 tx/s or more. VISA handles around 2,000 tx overall, so if those "10k tps" project ever made it, then it should not be a problem.

It doesn't have to power to bring all nations under one umbrella!

It was never its target too anyway.
5637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Convert or HODL? on: March 09, 2020, 11:35:05 PM
The answer depends a lot on each one context. If you need the money and need it quickly, but you don't have any money left, then holding would be terrible. On the other hand, recklessly selling the coins you just accumulate since a week ago is also a terrible move.

Ask a financial expert or better outline your financial life first before asking here. I bet you won't find answer here as most of them are just common sense.
5638  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinCode.sh - Analyze your Coin Code on: March 09, 2020, 09:48:19 AM
I cannot include the full list of this parent because it is in an evolving stage.

I think it's not a problem if you open the list for the public. It might increase transparency too. So instead of blindly believing that there are 62 parents, we can verify it ourselves.
5639  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex disabled account - Can't withdraw - Refuse to accept my ID - Help on: March 09, 2020, 09:42:28 AM
That's your risk. Either way, you'll lose something. Your money or your identity. It's your choice.

Complaining that they're a shit exchange doesn't give a better result most of the time. And I'm talking about 99% of it. Exchange care no shit.
5640  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi] Studi Kasus Steemit & Justin Sun Perihal Takeover & Etika Exchange on: March 09, 2020, 07:22:20 AM
