5621  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did you pay the MT. Gox hacker to delete your info before selling the db? on: March 21, 2014, 07:15:38 PM
Go ahead. Sell my info, I don't care. It's all BS I made up anyway.  Kiss
5622  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-19] Russia wiping out bitcoin on: March 21, 2014, 07:12:49 PM
Why are people surprised that Russia is tyrannical about economic freedom? When have they done anything different since the czar? It's not like the oligarchs are into sharing.
5623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY does the media have so much control over Bitcoin price? on: March 21, 2014, 05:55:55 PM
The "media" does not influence my bitcoin use. I know more than them.
5624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wolfram Alpha Computational Knowledge Engine now interprets 'Bitcoin' on: March 21, 2014, 05:36:07 PM
Sweet! I have been pushing them on this for a few years now.
For those who haven't used it. Wolfram Alpha is a marvel. I donated to their app development a few years back after my mind was blown.

Do they accept BTC donation ? If u have contact with them... can u plz pursue them to have a BTC address on their home page for donation ?

You can pursue them yourself and it doesn't have to be donations, they could accept Bitcoin for the Pro version.

Last I checked they did not take bitcoin. However, the engine also did not understand the term "bitcoin". Maybe they are cracking?
5625  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Karpeles wanted a bailout on: March 21, 2014, 03:26:06 PM
Thankfully, this is a free market. There are no bailouts possible and no one is too big to fail.

I still didn't get serious offer!
I think the people who turned you down were quite serious.
5628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox announce finding of 200,000 lost BTC! on: March 21, 2014, 01:33:36 PM
Everyone look around your house! Look under the sofa and in your junk drawer, the rest of those coins must be here somewhere.
5629  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you spend BTC daily in brick and mortar stores? on: March 21, 2014, 01:30:42 PM
I would, and I try to.

Going out to a local restaurant tonight and paying in bitcoin.
5630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Core 9.0 Question on: March 21, 2014, 01:29:47 PM
Same on Ubuntu 12.4 This is going to confuse a lot of people when installing.  Embarrassed

I only need a rifle team and a list of preper addresses.   Wink

There is an incentive to not prepare:
No one can steal my non-existent stash of nothingness.
Meanwhile, knocking at your door:
He he. In reality I would die cowering in the forest of exposure, exacerbated by an abscess tooth.   Cry
5632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy btc on: March 18, 2014, 07:56:37 PM
You might want to go another route. Bitcoin and PayPal are a bad mix.
PayPal may close your account or the seller may just disappear with your money. If that happens you have no recourse. And it happens all the time. If I were you I would set up an account at an exchange, fund it with a money order, then buy and withdraw your coins to your control. Don't let someone talk you into a great deal or an alt-coin or a share or stock. Screw that. Pay full price at an exchange and get your BTC out of the exchange quickly.
5633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buffet right or wrong? on: March 18, 2014, 07:46:55 PM
I think some of the confusion is that people think rich people know something about money others don't. They do not.
Most wealthy people are born wealthy and learn how to manage their family money over a lifetime. The ones like Buffet who make it themselves become rich from hard work and a psychotic drive to beat others. They wake up at dawn and can't stop working, even if it means pain for their family and personal life. They are like a winning race horse, they would just as soon die as loose the race.
5634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Early adoption stage on: March 18, 2014, 07:37:53 PM
Yes. Be prepared to be called a sinister "early adopter".  Undecided

It's like the internet. The day your Mom sent you a FB friend request it was all over. Wait until she sends you BTC to pay for collage textbooks, then we are mainstream.
5635  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Red Alert Blockchain.info down on: March 18, 2014, 07:29:52 PM
This is absolutely Red Alert

has blockchain.info now done a runner with funds ?

They do not have unencrypted copies of your private keys.  They can't run off with your coins unless they password attack your wallet data.

If you read the blog entry following that one, it describes how to use multibit to import your wallet backup.

Around here people start with an outrageous claim of fraud. Then slowly, very slowly the boring truth comes out. It's stupid, but way more fun.  Grin
5636  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transaction Malleability Reloaded on: March 18, 2014, 07:20:25 PM
If you have discovered a new exploit you might want to send a description to the dev team. I'm sure your help would be appreciated.
5637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Laptop for Anonymous Computing on: March 18, 2014, 07:11:29 PM
I would not use a laptop pre-installed with anything for cryptos. Will format hard disk and install everything myself.

Exactly, why trust someone else when you can do the work yourself.
Amen. Even a computer novice can install Ubuntu Linux and be done with that windows crap.
5638  Other / Meta / Re: Why this forum is not mobile friendly at all? on: March 18, 2014, 07:06:34 PM
There are two mobile versions available:

I did not know that. We have a WAP site?  Huh

Jews like Jesus? Yeah, he was a good jew. Kept the sabbath and prayed at temple. But wow was he power hungry. I guess that is what the movie is about. Stop Jesus before he takes over!
