5641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges WITHOUT KYC? on: April 24, 2020, 02:28:12 PM
I think it's safe to say that the majority of us hates KYC/AML these days. It feels so wrong to submit all your personal details when dealing with something like cryptocurrencies, as it wasnt the intention with BTC to reveal your identity at all.

What other alternatives can you guys recommend?

True it wasn't the intention of bitcoin but the community has grown so big that scammers has seen these advantage of cryptocurrency as an avenue to defraud Investors of their hard earn money. Introducing the use of KYC has been the most effective method in combating fraud/money laundering so far so I don't think we can eliminate the need of it in the industry until something more effective has been developed.

Nevertheless, if I'm not mistaking all most all the so called reputed exchanges including Binance does have an often of transacting with them without the need of carrying out KYC procedures. Therefore, you just simply have to respect their terms and conditions by not withdrawing above their stated bitcoin and you account won't have any issue. You could withdraw daily (with the maximum limit) until you withdraw all your bitcoin without having to surrender your private information.
5642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 24, 2020, 02:16:33 PM
The biggest reason why the newbie trader can't make money is simple: They think doing something is better than doing nothing, sitting tight over your hands is the hardest part for making money with trading. Long term traders know how valuable to wait patiently for the right time, day traders can get lost during the large market fluctuations.

Don't also forget that they can make the biggest profit too during that market fluctuation if only they do their homework well in predicting the outcome of the market correctly due to the information and tools available to them with an additional help from the luck factor. I think we mistakes short term Investors for traders, day trading isn't that bad of a profession. In fact they're the backbone to of the community together with the miners since these traders are those who keep the market active.

They're responding for making the market an interesting opportunity ground to gain profits, without them the industry who had been dead since the market won't be actively trading like every other currency/commodity market out there.
5643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 24, 2020, 10:29:41 AM

I think head of FA once claimed that there is no scenario where Liverpool is not titled champions, and I think that could be the case no matter what happens.

Yes but that's the easy bit. Not so contentious.

The bigger furore will come from clubs at the bottom who "could" have got out of the relegation zone.

Exactly, that's why the idea of ending the season isn't favorable to every team out there. Just looked at the team in the bottom of the table and the likes of Aston Villa, Bournemouth still has a fair chance of escaping relegation assuming both West Ham and Watford loses their next match while they win theirs. Teams that are having point difference between 1-3pts aren't safe yet from relegation most especially as no one knows what the turnout of the break would be on the players mentality.

We can't just used the excuse of Liverpool are already champions to end the season, give them their title and deprive others the privilege of having a fair fight of getting into position that'll earn them a spot at championship, Europa level or even avoid relegation.
5644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this period killed your desire or exited it on: April 24, 2020, 10:14:32 AM
Where do you stand in all this, are you excited to have your favourite games back again or can you say that you can do with out it?

I don't get it, how can someone do without watching football especially when you have been so used to it that you get excited the moment it's Friday knowing fully well the weekend will be spend watching your favourite players display brilliantly on the field and also creating an opportunity for you to make some extra bucks by betting on teams to win. Even in this lockdown, I still get the feeling to watch football in weekend which results to me rewatching replays.

I'm not just excited for the return of football but hoping everything returns to normal in the soonest time possible. The lockdown hasn't been that profitable to me and from the news and my observation, hunger has become the norm of the day even killing more individuals than the said Corona virus.
5645  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is making some noise in the market. on: April 23, 2020, 06:00:22 PM
If you consider just 5% increase as noise then I don't know what you'll call the double figure percentage increase bitcoin does on several occasions. The increase wasn't unexpected as it has been knocking on the door for quite sometime now. It could be said, the market hasn't be responding as positive as we all expected considering the halving event is just days ahead yet no strong signs of a positive reaction until few hours ago. Probably, the market is just responding to be positive news all around the industry lately.

Coins like Stellar lumens (XLM) with its recent gains are the coins you can point fingers at for been noise makers in the market as I don't see any reason for their recent price increase yet the project just keep gaining value as the days goes by.
5646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Audio money in crypto on: April 23, 2020, 05:29:04 PM
What exactly is "audio money" by the way Smiley ?  I tried understanding the meaning before commenting but  found very little about it on the internet. Guess it's local/new slang or something?

Audio money is a local slang popularized by a local musician from Nigeria in the person of Rude-boy, (Nigeria is located in Africa) so I guess the OP is an African (Nigerian to be specific). The slang simple means fake money, that's money that can only be seen virtually online but can't be seen physical. Usually the celebrity are guilty of carrying out fake giveawaya or living fake lifestyle just to impress their fans which is simply tagged audio lifestyle/money. I believe the OP must have been so angered that he didn't realize he was contributing to a global forum and use the local slang or might have still been an intentional act nevertheless, the slang isn't that hard to understand.

Concerning your audio (lol) airdrop reward, well this isn't the first neither would this be the last such experience will be reported in the space, this scammers use this high reward to decieve gullible Investors into patronizing them but you're lucky you had a friend that advice you which resulted to you seeking this information by asking the community for opinion. The first reply should answer your question.

My bad, just did some research and found out you guys are right. Well in my defense, I started watching premier league and keeping tabs on clubs in the 2010s, although before then I alway had Chelsea as my favorite club from childhood. Never knew Manchester city were this poor before the oil money came in to change things around.

Still though I think the competition in the league right now won't let Newcastle succeed as Manchester City did. We have the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City fighting to become a dormant force, with Chelsea, Leicester also putting in some effort meanwhile back then it was just Manchester dominating with few challenges from arsenal/Chelsea (I think).
5650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 22, 2020, 12:51:44 PM
I read somewhere that the new Newcastle boss has 10x more money than the Man City boss.

I agree with LFC_Bitcoin in thinking there's not a way to buy 10 first-team players anymore,

Even if they wanted to buy 10 first-team players, the possibility of them successfully getting top players at the peak of their careers, is highly impossible. Which top player will want to play for a team that hardly find themselves in the top half of the table, talk more of competing for the top 4/6 spots of the league or go as far as winning the tournament.

Manchester City transformation was quite possibly because they were already a top clubs but just lack funding and a managerial genius to transform the club into one of Europa finest. Newcastle still has a long way to go in achieving any Cinderella story that involves them coming out from no where and because a strong contender for the title.
5651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Try providing suggestions with summary on: April 22, 2020, 12:30:24 PM
Just have to give my opinion by going the other way, although it's very helpful and a recommendable practice to do what the OP and other members have suggested, that's to give your suggestions accompany with you resources (link shared) nevertheless it's not mandatory therefore you shouldn't force it upon yourself to do that just to hunt for the merits or try pleasing anyone. If you come across a question that you can easily research on through the web to get the answer to, do so and provide the link if that's all you can do, don't try to force yourself into giving a summary to a topic you know nothing about, that'll just make you look stupid and desperate. Something like this " OP I just research on what you asked and found some interesting answers or contributions that'll be worth your time on this site <link>".

If the question was related to books on trading or any cryptocurrency related books, after providing a link to the source of the information you just shared, you can add a side note, stating that you haven't read the book so you can't vouch for the book you shared a link to but it was recommended by the site you just posted. There's no need giving a summary to a topic you know nothing about, preferable just ignore such topic and move on to the next discussion on the board.
5652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin twitter account today asks "If you met satoshi what would you say?" on: April 22, 2020, 07:05:02 AM
Simple, I'll just reply with my bitcoin address he might be doing a giveaway (lol). My first thought would be, obviously for him to contact me that means he most had heard my wishes somehow either through the intervention of a higher force (God) or it's just my lucky day. But on a second thought, I'll just delete the message since it could be a frien pranking me since they must have seen my diary where I pen down my wishes and desires in life. One of the wish is to get an opportunity to communicate with satoshi.

Sometimes I wonder why he hasn't tried to reach out to the community somehow to discharge the thought of him been dead. Anyways, he knows what's best.
5653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: April 22, 2020, 06:51:46 AM
Only in bitcoin discussion can we attempt comparing apples and generators?

Lol buddy, don't insult bitcoin. In your above sentence, bitcoin better be the apple while Oil is the generator.

Responding to the OP, the price of bitcoin can never be traded in negative figure, the only possible outcome is, the market will lack buyers meanwhile there'll excess sellers willing to sell their bitcoin at very cheap price but they won't find anyone willing to buy those coins off their hands. This is just an absolution though as the possiblity of this happening is nearly zero.

Bitcoin isn't been regulated by any government body that you'll think a ban on its patronage would be that effective to render the coin useless. China has tried that in the past but only had a short term success of affecting the price of bitcoin. Although it didn't send it to a negative value as that's just impossible.
5654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Utility Token on: April 22, 2020, 05:23:13 AM
We have seen a lot of token/coin with the term utility. Everyone come with a shit idea and say the coin will be utilized in this platform, network etc. But how many of them were ever succeeded?

There are quite some number of them that have succeeded in achieving that goal, although the ratio to failed ones are no where to write him about. The like of exchanges native tokens and that of gambling platforms are some perfect exchange although most of this tokens become worthless quite easily as their utility are restricted to their parent platform, that's if it should go down they (the native tokens) goes down with the platform.

The problem is that scammers always leverage on tending ideas to defraud gullible victims. Since the topic of discussion lately was about more utility for cryptocurrency, they seized the opportunity to decieve Investors into believing they have something unique to offer but all they're after is the potential money to be stolen. The legit project that focus their project on offering utility to the community are doing quite well, use BNB as a case study.
5655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is your expectation still high on the halving on: April 22, 2020, 04:44:03 AM
We have a lot of expectations in the halving in fact our expectations are very high before this pandemic especially those new in the market and the first time to experience halving, now is your expectation still high in the coming halving even if we are in the middle of a pandemic.

Been very optimistic about your investment is one of the traits an Investors should develop as that traits will keep you going even when the condition aren't favorable to your investment. Bitcoin halving is a very important event in the community, that comes with lots of positive reaction, some times, it takes time to show while other times it has an immediate effect. Therefore, irrespective of the pandemic been this serious and affecting every commodity out there, we can still get some positive results as the cryptocurrency industry is independent from the rest market.

I'm still expecting the see an immediate effect although I'm quite aware the effect might not come immediately but take time to manifest itself like the previous halving that took until 2017 to manifest meanwhile halving was done in 2016.
5656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 21, 2020, 02:41:01 PM
Obviously the rest of the current season will be played behind closed doors but I’m interested in two things -

1.) When will the 2020/21 season start if the current season finishes in maybe August?
2.) When will fans be allowed to start going to games again next season?

I think it's better they resume and we watch from our homes where we'll all be safe from the virus then not playing at all. Assuming the premier league was still ongoing atleast the lockdown won't be as boring as it currently is. To answer your first question, I think next season will be postponed until the virus has been declared not to be as dangerous as it currently is (when the vaccine has probably been developed and tested successfully)

As for the fans been present at stadium, the possibility of that happening the remaining games of this season should be ruled out, so probably next season.
5657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 11:39:19 AM
Just give him few days or probably weeks and he'll definitely return back to gambling most especially when he realized he didn't invest wisely via his spending. The issue with quick/free money is that it comes with the mindset that since you had luck previously, you can easily win such amount or even more if you try again. Some even go to the extend of repeating the routine of the day they won the bet.

Those giving him investment advice should also understand in times like this, as a result of not been prepared he might panic and rush into securing an investment asset but end up picking the wrong asset which will cost him his investment capital. It's recommended to stay calm, think through you decision before executing them. Anyways congratulations to him for his win.
5658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 21, 2020, 10:47:11 AM
It all depends on choice of the trader which could be as a result of ignorance (not having the right information) or personally decision not to patronize a certain exchange due to not been comfortable with their service. Prior to few months back, Binance didn't have an option to deposit fiat or withdraw your profit directly to your local fiat therefore for resident of the geographical area that supports that withdrawing option via coinbase pro, I see no reason why they'll choice Binance over coinbase.

The two exchange are quite decent in their service delivery. Personally I prefer to use my local exchange (LUNO) to trade my bitcoin instead of using Binance since the LUNO payment option are quite favourable than that of Binance irrespective of the fees been higher than that if Binance.
5659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best pumping community out there? on: April 21, 2020, 10:31:14 AM
Hi guys! Just wanted to ask you which pumping community you think is best and has the most profitable trades. Want to know your opinion.  Lips sealed

Funny the OP still got some suggestions on pump groups to join, that's just like giving the OP a free way ticket to go waste his or her money. Why not gamble with that funds instead of wasting it feeding pump group admins since it's just quite obvious trading isn't for you as you can't spend few bucks learning how to trade yourself but prefer relying on speculative group for profit. Like others have said, 99% of those engaging in this practice are likely going to lose more than they profit.

If you want to profit on the long run in the industry, you have to get raid of the mindset of making quick money by chasing pump coins and investing in shitcoins just for the profit.
