^ The 2020/2021 season could start later and be shortened by a couple of months. And it'll probably safe enough in some areas to get people out in crowds again by then.
I hope I hope. *fingers crossed*
A shortened EPL season would be roller coaster Imagine teams playing on a tight schedule with all the those tournaments and league competitions due to a shortened season. Maybe they would have to completely remove international friendlies or even International breaks as a whole. Oh.. They're prolly dropping one of the cup games (the League Cup). Maybe even both. IMHO. But there's gonna be less money going around, that's for sure. The big money is in the PL & CL which is why those two competitions in particular will definitely be concluded. I think some PL teams are returning to training in mid May. @LFC_Bitcoin be ready to pop up the champagne as the premier league will resume and end by July 31st, and since this news has been confirmed now it’s time to save our funds, because we can earn a lot of money by wagering on the top 6 teams during the remaining season. There’s also one worrying news which say that these matches may be shown as a subscription based model in UK, which means that people will abandon social distancing to watch these matches, and I would strongly recommend to those people to not break social distancing guidelines. Meanwhile, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden has raised concerns if matches played behind closed doors were shown on subscription-based channels Sky Sports and BT Sport, who hold the UK rights, then it could lead to fans visiting friend's houses to watch the games.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

For Cups, they are unnecessary for now, and can be canceled. Finishing leagues will help leagues to find winners with some matches left to play and help leagues and UEFA find out clubs for the European leagues next season.
You have a point but the other two cups determine other qualifying teams for Europa league: Winners receive the FA Cup trophy, of which there have been two designs and five actual cups; the latest is a 2014 replica of the second design, introduced in 1911. Winners also qualify for the Europa League and a place in the FA Community Shield match. Winners receive the EFL Cup,[1] of which there have been three designs, the current one also being the original. Winners also qualify for European football, receiving a place in the UEFA Europa League; should the winner also qualify for Europe through other means at the end of the season, this place is transferred to the highest-placed Premier League team not already qualified for European competition.
There’s also one worrying news which say that these matches may be shown as a subscription based model in UK, which means that people will abandon social distancing to watch these matches, and I would strongly recommend to those people to not break social distancing guidelines.
Although that's a possibility, I'm sure people will find other alternative ways of watching those matches + in the link you provided, he mentioned about positive talks in regards to showing games "on free-to-air TV channels"...

I think a big part of the discussion going on is about business and money and not about football and completing the league because we want to know who won.
Sponsors have paid for advertising and so on, these are the things they are trying to reconcile.

Indeed, They forgot that the economic collapse happened everywhere around the globe. Not just there in one industry but any industry. It's understandable that they might losing millions dollar and yeah pretty hard to bury the egoism to continue the league too early. Even with strict rules under health protocols. I'm the one who against all of these continue the league planning.

Will the performance of Liverpool is going to get impacted and in the end lose the title? (food for thought and conversation) That is too cruel, don't look LFC_Bitcoin LOL! Why is this cruel? it is a fact! Liverpool and all other teams will see difference in their playstyle. If it will be only Liverpool that would not be able to handle this change then it might be beneficial for the other teams. Personally, I don't think that Liverpool is going to lose this championship as they already have huge difference from the second team.

The season will be completed, it is close to 100% certain. Ministers are already discussing behind closed doors football. The only people who want the season to be cancelled are fans of clubs who are having bad seasons. Sporting integrity will win the day.

Lol, and also fans that do not want Liverpool to win the premier league, I'll be accusing Manchester United/City fans of this . There are rumors that German Bundesliga could restart next month(May)and will be played behind closed doors, who knows maybe the premier league can also conclude and decide on a date/time frame. June may not be a bad idea and probably by that time we could have some reprieve from "attacks" from the virus. I'm sure many of us miss football so much, that we wouldn't bother much if it were behind closed doors, as it will.

You do realize that it is almost mathematically impossible for Liverpool to lose the league right? I mean right now Liverpool is 25 points ahead of City with just one more game in the books, that means if City won, that is a 22 point difference, there is 38 games in total and Liverpool has played 29 of that already, which means there is only 9 games left in the season with 22 point difference, 9 games all won equals to 27 points, which means if City wins ALL their games, and Liverpool loses ALL their games (maybe win one and one draw) City could potentially still win the league.
So, you are telling me that you expect Liverpool to lose 8 games in 9 matches? Seriously? How could that ever potentially happen? There is no world where any team at that level loses that many games in a row.

Lol, and also fans that do not want Liverpool to win the premier league, I'll be accusing Manchester United/City fans of this . Liverpool fans certainly want to start the match because their favorite club will be the champion that has been waiting for it for 30 years. Lol That club with bad luck this season does not want to be relegated from the major leagues because of the impact this outbreak has affected performance too. Which is right let's see.
Well there is news saying like that the Bundesliga will soon be playing in May but to date I still don't know and maybe the death rate in Germany is a little so that it can be overcome and football runs in closed. While in the UK is still in the status of the red zone where many are infected so it is likely to wait for June or August to determine the EPL schedule will start.

I think head of FA once claimed that there is no scenario where Liverpool is not titled champions, and I think that could be the case no matter what happens. If they return months later in the end Liverpool will win, if they return right away, Liverpool will win, if they never return and just start the next season right away, Liverpool will be given the title automatically, and normally if this was any other season and the points where a bit close you would argue that it is unfair, however right now looking at the situation we can say that even if they are given the championship without any more games, it would be as worthy of anyone getting the title as anyone because they were A LOT of points ahead of everyone else and would definitely get the championship anyway.

Yes but that's the easy bit. Not so contentious. The bigger furore will come from clubs at the bottom who "could" have got out of the relegation zone.

I bet you, that is Jurgen Klopp and his men. I love Spurs but I cannot see my manager going to yoga video call every day with his team.

Obviously the rest of the current season will be played behind closed doors but I’m interested in two things -
1.) When will the 2020/21 season start if the current season finishes in maybe August? 2.) When will fans be allowed to start going to games again next season?
They should just play them back to back with maybe a short break or two throughout the season. Fans won't be able to go until the public lockdown stops, but there's really no end in sight for that right now. It could be in place for most of the year or even in fact goes on for years. Nobody knows but it's depressing to think about. I think a big part of the discussion going on is about business and money and not about football and completing the league because we want to know who won.
Sponsors have paid for advertising and so on, these are the things they are trying to reconcile.
We know who won: Liverpool. Football is a business now sadly whether we like it or not and ultimately all the PL bosses cares about is their overheads hence why they need to get playing as soon as possible because paying out 1 billion+ for missed TV rights would possibly cripple them financially. The season will be completed, it is close to 100% certain. Ministers are already discussing behind closed doors football. The only people who want the season to be cancelled are fans of clubs who are having bad seasons. Sporting integrity will win the day.
That's the most logical and I think what most sane people want but it probably depends on how long this pandemic goes on for. I think they should just carry on as normal as soon as they are able to though.
Liverpool winning it aren't really the main issue. They're so far in front I can't see many complaining about giving them the title, but the bigger issues are what to do about the relegated teams, Champion's League and Europa League spots and also promotion places from the Championship. It would be unfair to them to void the league but also unfair to others if the leagues ended as they stand now. That's why it's much more logical to play the remaining games when they can so it's fair to all.

I suppose we could feasibly have football on every day of the week as a way to catch up some of the matches?
It would be a football feast for fans after this famine. Like a world cup, IYSWIM

Exactly, that's why the idea of ending the season isn't favorable to every team out there. Just looked at the team in the bottom of the table and the likes of Aston Villa, Bournemouth still has a fair chance of escaping relegation assuming both West Ham and Watford loses their next match while they win theirs. Teams that are having point difference between 1-3pts aren't safe yet from relegation most especially as no one knows what the turnout of the break would be on the players mentality. We can't just used the excuse of Liverpool are already champions to end the season, give them their title and deprive others the privilege of having a fair fight of getting into position that'll earn them a spot at championship, Europa level or even avoid relegation.

Could be some sort of playoff tournament for the lower end of the table teams in likely range of relegation spots.
See who gets sent down. Without playing lots of pointless games like bottom v top
Title to Liverpool in that scenario.

I wonder how many games are going to be played in such a short period of time in order to finish the league. Will the performance of Liverpool is going to get impacted and in the end lose the title? (food for thought and conversation) Lol, everyone seems to enjoy bantering the liverpool team and to be honest it does interest me too. But i think UEFA was fair with their judgement and suggestions as regard what will happen if the Premier League in England is unable to play out the remaining matches. The point per match coefficient to determine champions, champions league spot, europa league spots, and the relegation spots too. Its a fair deal; but i do hope that they are able to play out the matches.
