5641  Other / Meta / Re: "Recovering hacked/lost accounts" full process, nothing happened on: February 16, 2019, 05:39:22 AM
The problem is that OP isn't even sharing his user ID or profile link. We would have tried to check it up in seclog and see if the recovery process has been canceled.
5642  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Must have web browser addons to keep you a step safer from phishing on: February 16, 2019, 05:34:42 AM

Thanks, OP has been updated. It's sad that the link to their Firefox add-on does not work.

<...>
Thanks but am currently looking at anti phishing add-ons. However, I  look forward to making a topic related to malwarebytes sometime soon.

better you bookmark the real website to keep safe from phising site. if you first time follow that website, very good if you can check their security, domain, website age and their ads. i always check it in scamadviser and see any preview in youtube video about that website.

Bookmarking is okay but also not 100% guaranteed safety.
I was online when an attack was made on Etherdelta in 2017... In fact, I was even in the process of making a transaction to Etherdelta and do you know what saved my Private key from getting Phished?

It obviously wasn't bookmarking(I had bookmarked Etherdelta and i still ended up loading a website whose DNS severs had been hijacked) but Netcraft gave me a warning(the ad-don was showing a risk rating of 9/10 at that time) and MetaMask displayed a warning. That's when I realized that Etherdelta was under attack and i stopped what i was doing immediately.

5645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN-ICO] BXK token - BITBOOK.ag - The best online sportsbook and casino!!! on: February 14, 2019, 01:59:01 PM
Having an Article on Forbes Guarantees nothing.. I have seen scams in past sponsor articles in Forbes and Cointelegraph. Just go to the scam accusations board and explain why you are having a fake profile of your CEO.
This is so easy to resolve.
The more you dodge the accusations, the more we believe that it's actually scam.

Is Bitbook.ag a reincarnation of Bitbook.biz that closed down a few years ago?
Nobody knows but with i saw in the thread, they are certainly not people to toy your money with.
5646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN-ICO] BXK token - BITBOOK.ag - The best online sportsbook and casino!!! on: February 14, 2019, 01:37:56 PM
Can someone double check on this because I have invested with Bitbook too an is also using the gambling platform. I don't see anything wrong in the website. And looks like only a single person which is the CEO on their website who does not have a LinkedIn profile link. Well wait what the team will do about it.
Because the photo used for CEO, is stolen. Go and look at the accusation for yourself. If i were you I would have withdrawn my money by now.
Just look at how newbie accounts are trying to bump the thread and shill the ICO. Someone is working hard to make this disappear.

Of course we are not scam!!!
We have a full operative platform! Many people alredy started to play in our platform and gave positive feedbacks about our team and services!
Test by yourself and you will know that it is 100% legit service!!
LOL, go respond to the scam accusation and redeem yourself.
Don't tell me to test it because I won't.

SCAM ALERT ⚠

There is an open scam accusation against this ICO and their online gambling site. Don't risk participating in the ICO

Thank you, I will keep that in mind. Phishing is something that looks easy to evade but sometimes one could just be caught off guard, probably when one is trying to browser during times of fatigue or having less attention to the websites s/he is browsing.

He got a few negative trust at that account why not check first the trust user before doing a tx, always remember don't transaction with a low account member.
It's actually him who sent out that feedback, he also got scammed fooled by someone else Grin
I agree with you on the second part though. I mean why are people so careless handing their money to strangers without escrow?

Escrow was really recommended to a transaction with low account, also some user already has the same situation as you. https://bitcointalk.org/index.phptopic=260073.msg46086335#msg46086335
Your link is broken, could you please fix it?

5653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with smart contracts? on: February 11, 2019, 10:32:14 PM
First time seeing it but anything that deals with smart contracts in most cases has that feature of instant depositing and withdrawal. At least I have witnessed this with Ethereum network and EOS.
5654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: First hand examples of Emotional trading on: February 11, 2019, 10:28:07 PM
- You feel so greedy and you want to make a profit of 150% overnight
- You take too long to decide when to sell off or buy
- Your buy or sell actions are often determined by sudden price changes i.e. Buying coins at peak price and panic selling them off at bottom prices.
5655  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Google Play Store Caught Hosting Fake Metamask Crypto Malware on: February 11, 2019, 10:22:06 PM
App stores are not to be trust with crypto apps especially wallet and exchanges. i myself have seen so many scam apps in play stores and so many people become victims by downloading them.
Thanks for the alert.

Your effort is highly appreciated OP, this is the kind of spirit we need in the forum. Helping each other out.
5658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: getting bitcoin on: February 11, 2019, 09:10:39 PM
You can get bitcoin without paying for it by
*faucet
Total waste of time at the moment, they used to be good back in the day. You are better off spending that time doing some other work.

*mining
OP is looking for a way of earning from this forum, so S/he's probably not looking to spend on mining hardware alongside other costs

*airdrops
Very useless to participate in at the moment as tokens are in most cases valueless. Quite late, 2017 was the year.
5659  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stellar 25$ airdrop on: February 11, 2019, 08:42:19 PM
It's a legit email from blockchain wallet... I received one back in November last year.

Please note that there are 2 different addresses that blockchain wallet uses so far:

- noreply@blockchain.com - I usually get new updates through this one, about the stellar airdrop and the last update was about supporting Bitcoin SV on Jan 23rd 2019
- no-reply@blockchain.info - sends emails about Authorizing Log-In attempts and email verification links
5660  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone familiar with page expohills? on: February 11, 2019, 08:09:39 PM
I haven't registered in it but I did some checking for you
Looks like Scam to me... Do not trust this so called exchange

1. Website is 17 days old yet they claim:
    * To have been in business since 2013?
    * To have a 24H volume of 919.207 BTC?
    * To have 1,190,173 active traders?

Wow! How miraculous?

Code:
Domain name: expohills.com
Registry Domain ID: 2355597627_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.namecheap.com
Registrar URL: http://www.namecheap.com
Updated Date: 2019-01-25 T21:24:38.00Z
Creation Date: 2019-01-25 T21:24:38.00Z

2. The owner of the website is using a service to hide their identity
Why should you trust strangers with your money?

3. Ouch looks like somebody has already been scammed

4. No social media communities.
Again Wow! 1,190,173 active traders with not a single social media community!

WARNING! Stay away from this exchange or you will part away with your money soon
