5641  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Win a share of 3000 mBTC every day during EURO 2016! on: June 24, 2016, 04:10:49 PM
Statistically speaking,I bet everyday on at least a single match but I have won only once.I should win more right ? You're an example how similar people win lottery every day.Could you tell us your statistics ? How much did you stake ? Did you win or lose?
What do you mean? I have won twice out of the 13 raffles.
However, since there are 26 prizes, you have a 26/entries chance of winning the raffles.

You only have to stake 5 mBTC to be eligible for a ticket in the raffle, I'm sure. It's not about how much I stake or how much I won/lose. It's just about getting a place in there.

Now for some probability:

Given that you have wagered on that day and have a ticket

22.06 raffle has a 13.13% chance of winning
21.06 raffle has a 14.6% chance of winning
20.06 raffle has a 14.6% chance of winning
19.06 raffle has a 14.69% chance of winning
18.06 raffle has a 13.07% chance of winning
17.06 raffle has a 13.54% chance of winning
16.06 raffle has a 15.03% chance of winning
15.06 raffle has a 15.95% chance of winning
14.06 raffle has a 16.04% chance of winning
13.06 raffle has a 16.56% chance of winning
12.06 raffle has a 20% chance of winning
11.06 raffle has a 22.8% chance of winning
10.06 raffle has a 37.68% chance of winning

This adds up to 227.69% in total, which means you should have won at least twice on average.

Given that there are 20 prizes of 0.05, 3 prizes of 0.1, and isolated prizes of 0.2, 0.5 and 1 BTC

That's a:

76.92% chance of winning 0.05
11.54% chance of winning 0.1
3.84% chance of winning 0.2, 0.5, or 1 BTC

On average that is 0.11528 each time you get a prize. [Theoretically speaking]

Which means that the average person (betting 0.005 per game) would see at this point [statistically] a profit of 0.197481032 [if they had lost their 0.005 every single time]

Correct me if my calculations are wrong, I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment and haven't had my coffee yet Roll Eyes

Just for the record, I also won 50mbtc twice! Smiley Thanks!
That's what my point is.The same bunch of users keep winning twice/thrice while a remaining genuine lot does't win jack. How this is provably fair I don't understand.
I managed to win twice, 50 mBTC on the first day and 100 mBTC on another day. Although, statistically I should be winning about 1/6 of the time. (I've been wagering every single day on the euro raffles since the raffling began)
5643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: June 24, 2016, 02:34:38 PM
Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.

Well, I disagree. if you bet .05 with 0.01% winning chance on a dice site you'll have 4,950 BTC which I think is not a small win. So don't need to make your bets bigger to have the chance to win more.
However, if you bet 0.5 BTC, you'll increase the chances of winning the exact same amount of bitcoin [theoretically] by 10 times. If you want to have a higher chance of winning a certain sum of money, then you need to bet with a higher amount. If you want to keep the same chance but want to win more money, then you need to bet with a higher amount. Either way, betting with more money means that you'll have a higher statistical gain, no matter the bet conditions.

But of course we all know that what is possible "theoretically" for some reasons become impossible in practice. That's why we lose so often when trying to apply a theory to the real betting.
Which theories do people apply to real betting? Sure there is variance but you need to know the statistics. If you apply the theories, then you wouldn't gamble in the first place. For example, think about how many people try playing the lottery. If they applied statistics to their purchase, nobody would bother. Because you would need to spend more [on average] to get the prize than it costs them.

Obvious, after a big pump there is always a dump.
Perhaps the result was affected greatly by potential Chinese investors dumping their coins after the pump. The yuan devaluation made a lot resort to switching to bitcoin, and maybe they have decided that at this point it could go no higher (or were provoked by the start of a decline) and dumped a lot of their coins.

Two games tonight on EURO2016 so lets see:
France is with 2 wins are already in next stage so they will rest some playeres, with split points, 1 for each side will be good for both teams, so i think that on this game will no winner, draw is a litle risky choice but one is sure - goals, under 2.5 for this game.
About game Romania - Albania, away team didnt deserved to play on this EURO2016, UEFA give them place and now all see how terible football they play, bettle for 3rd position and next stage will go to Romania, even 1 point is all that Romania need on this match, so my pick will be draw no bet Romania.
If someone follow go on single bet if you are no sure or you can make this parlay as me, good luck. And lets make bet interesting and go with 100 mbtc on this parlay, we are in profit about over 250mbtc and still have our star bankroll, so lets make some money.

FOOTBALL

Oof, this is a large risk but let's see how it'll go.

Hopefully you manage to win. I won't put down 100 mBTC on that, but rather 50 mBTC on that parlay. Let's see if I manage to win alongside you!
France showed their strength. I can count on France (they're probably the most consistent out of the teams I look at) but unfortunately Albania was able to score against Romania and I lost the bet. What a day, man. For me, Euro has just been disappointment after disappointment.
5646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cyber Crime on: June 19, 2016, 05:21:42 PM
What is Bitcoin cyber  crime and how to stop it?
Bitcoin cyber crime is basically using Bitcoin as a means of proliferating Internet criminal activity, and as a sort of medium for moving proceeds of crime. This can include gun trafficking, drug trafficking, human trafficking, fraud, etc., as long as it goes through the internet and involves Bitcoin.

Stopping it completely would be... ethically dubious. Even though you stop crime from occurring, you would more than likely have to use aggressive hacking and surveillance in order to start finding out who is doing what, and you might get innocent people involved if you mess up and aren't combing through the right person's information. I'm not in a position to say whether or not its a good idea.
It'll require a serious amount of privacy infringement to capture the small percentage of people who are using bitcoins for illicit reasons. It wouldn't be efficient and would only make people upset, kind of like how the NSA is right now?
5647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after mining ends? on: June 19, 2016, 04:48:02 PM
They mine for the transaction fees, and they keep the network moving through those fees.

At that point the value of Bitcoin will likely be incredibly high due to the <1BTC block rewards, and so the market will already know what they're paying, and thus transaction fees could remain relatively low and everyone would be able to walk off with everything they need.

Assuming Bitcoin is still around 2140, there will either be a lot of people using it or no-one at all, and thus the transaction fees will be relatively cheap per person due to the volume of transactions.
Let's also not forget that if miners with high hash power decide to drop out, the difficulty will decrease in turn and thus regardless of who's mining, there will always be profit for someone. With a super-low difficulty, even people with crappy 2006 PC's could mine profitably.
5648  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: June 19, 2016, 04:34:42 PM
Mining is profitable, therefore no one would mine. If some people think it's not profitable, the difficulty will drop, and some other people in some other place with a better ratio of electricity/cost will take advantage of the decreased difficulty to start a mining business... Bitcoin network will always adapt, it's a free market.

No other coin is anywhere near being competition to Bitcoin, so sit down and wait because it's not going to die anytime soon.
But as the block reward continues to drop, mining becomes less and less profitable every halving. Maybe one day only a couple of people will mine and it will take hours or even days to get into a block.
Remember that the incentive lies in how much you gain from how much you're investing. Mining will not be unprofitable in the future because the difficulty will scale to how much mining power is being sent towards mining. If every single miner drops out, it'll be like the early days of bitcoin again where even CPU mining is efficient. Plus, the halvings can drive the price upward [subtly] and also reincentivize miners. It won't take hours or days to mine a block.

5650  Other / Archival / Re: Who won the biggest amount in Satoshimines ? on: June 19, 2016, 01:48:59 PM
Guys, still looking to hear your success stories about big winnings on satoshimines using small amount.  If you have it, plz post it here.

I didn't have any winning game in satoshimines. I tried it for 5x and bet 0.001 each game, 2 game - lose in the 1st block - 3 game - lose in the 3rd block ( all 5 bomb game ). My betting experience in satoshimines are awful! I thought i could reveal atleast 8 blocks.

Try to do one trick,  deposit 0.0005 and reveal all boxes except all 4 corner boxes.  And check the mine bomb location every time and guess where it will be next time. Like this you can reveal all boxes except 1 mine box . You will win 0.011 using 0.0005.

This is my simple strategy to play on this site.
Well if that is true can you give a screen shot test it and give some screen shot. so that you are telling the truth even its 50k sat if more people are deposit he can make 0.01.. and i think satoshimine is base on luck.. and there's no the best strategy to make a profit..
I will wait for you screen shots so that i can understand more about your strategy..

I cannot guarantee that the strategy I am using will work for everybody. There is no particular strategy for any gambling sites or games ( you can understand it very well. ).
This strategy is probably just a placebo.

In gambling, no strategy works better than any other (if you're disregarding house edge losses) and so most likely OP just got lucky in these bets and tried to form a pattern from the results that he'd gained.

I deposited 0.5 on satoshi mines i bet and went to 3.2 btc in 5 minutes then i get greedy i was going to withdraw but can't because of 3 confirmations limit . I thought that i can win more i bet 1 btc and lost on 3 tiles then i get pumped i bet one more btc again hit mine then again and again after all i lost all my bitcoins and 0.2 only saved and then i went to luckyb.it and lost all on it .

Here is my thread which i made on that day. : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1095934.0

Well i cannot forgot that day almost lost 1k$ on that day .
Ow you made a luck but you are greedy endup to lose. honetsly if i am in your place i withdraw the 3.2 btc and stop gamble it.. maybe i will gamble again in the other day or weeks.. but i cant lose it all..

I was going to withdraw all even i go to withdraw tab when i pasted my address it said that please wait for 3 confirmations on deposit . So i did not waited and played again and hence lost all of my btc. My trx had only 1 confirm but 3 needed to withdraw from satoshimines.com .
That's how they get you. The longer you're kept there, the more impatient you may be and you'll have an urge to try and risk it to earn more profit. In the end, the house always wins Wink
5651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: June 19, 2016, 01:44:34 PM
Ah, but it's both, innit?

You initially enter gambling for the profit aspect of it (for most people, I'd suppose) and then once you become an addict, you start wanting to play more and more and no longer have control anymore and play purely for the fun of it. What's the most unnerving part is when someone is aware that they will lose but decide to gamble anyway, regardless of the consequences, only to regret the decision directly afterwards. You have no control over yourself.

What do you need the money for?

You must have at least 0.02 in your possession right now if you intend to pay back with your 0.04 payout at the end of the month, yeah?

So then what are you using the bitcoins for?
(What's so important that you can't wait for your signature campaign to pay you money?)

Portugal does it again. 0-0.

Unfortunately Ronaldo missed that penalty kick. It was SO close! That chance was wasted on getting a shot on the post.

What a horrible time for Portugal.

Unless you add a random element of luck (random spin, sudden wind in a direction, increased ball mass for less velocity) there is no way to get around bots. Captchas fail. Prompts fail. Anything can be macro'd.

Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.

If you have a big enough bankroll that allows you to make bigger bets then by all means go for it as successful gamblers usually keep a proper bankroll management and only bet as much as 5% of the total cash they have at their disposal at any time so as to limit their losing streaks and recoup their losses in the long run. Trying to bet big with small bankrolls will always lead to a bad streak and ultimately losing everything so don't even attempt it. I am not saying that it's not possible to luck out and win a big amount from smaller bets using parlays but more often than not this is not the case. So maintaining a proper bankroll management and betting accordingly is the key to success for me.

I find that if you decide that you want to bet, the best scenario is to bet with all the marbles you're prepared to lose. And continue betting with all your winnings and investments.

(Okay, maybe not your initial wager if you want to play it safe on subsequent bets.)

Let's suppose that you bet against a 1% house edge. Your bankroll is $1000, and you wager it all on a 50% chance [payout of 1.98x].

Scenario 1: You lose $1000
Scenario 2: You gain $980.

Let's say you do the same thing with flat bets and bet 10 times on 50% chance. The extremes will be the same, of course. But look.

Let's say that instead of taking 10 bets, it takes 12 bets - with 11 wins and 1 loss thrown in there. There's still a net win of 10 bets.

But your winnings would look like this:
$978

If you're aiming for the same goal, go all in. You lose more money the more you gamble.

Hence: if you want to maximize profit, go for high payouts/wagers and restrict the number of bets you do.

or y'know just don't gamble

Um, don't you gotta buy it before you can sell it?

It would be very interesting to see what the takeup would be this time around if it does go crazy. bitcoin's a word that's been thrown around alot more since 2013 and the options to get it are better. Let's hope there isn't a huge fall and hearts are broken.

Just a silly joke. Of course they'll be buying. But it can take a bit of time after the news reports of $1000+, all time highs etc. start flowing in, b/c it can take up to a week to verify an acct. to purchase BTC, move money to BTC-friendly banks, etc.
Of course, many people will begin to buy as soon as more news flows in however I will bet you that after just a small amount of increase, there will be quite a bit of selling from those individuals.

They have not invested for as long as the veterans here, and thus must have less faith. Those that are brave enough to delve into bitcoin would only do so temporarily for profit, I'm betting. And thus, instead of holding, they would just wait for a rise then dump.
