5661  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 21, 2019, 06:40:27 AM
A decentralized social media platform? No. Just with the problem with content itself, having it decentralized would already become quite a problem. Having a central decision maker actually makes social media platforms gain dominance over anyone using their services. This avoids constant change of rules which could be a problem in a decentralized system.

Besides, this could go to a situation where for example youtube has different implementations for each platform. America has x feature while India don't have it but India has y feature instead.

Basically, it's a pain when dealing with decisions. Comparing crypto to social media platforms in terms of decentralization isn't really that much of a good idea.

5662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 20, 2019, 02:57:42 PM
And you saw from 8500 there hasn't been any notable resistance to now. There wasn't a stand to even mention, bulls are just too lazy to form a charge.
Probably because they see no reason to form a charge. Only those day to day traders have it hard tbh, with most of the long term ones just chillin out. A lot of newbie traders are getting attacked by fear at this junction though, with what they'd expect a smooth slide upwards of BTC when it reached 10k last time.

As for those newbies or people attacked by fear, No need to really fear though. BTC still holding it above 8k, people still fighting for it to go up. And even if it went down, jeez, wait till the end of the year. If it went down the 6.4k support, then panic. But I'd still advise the same, just HODL, it'll pass sooner or later.
5663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can we buy and sell gifts trough bitcoin on: November 20, 2019, 02:33:16 PM
You can also try CoinGate and CoinPayments just like what the person above me said, or CoinBase. CoinBase sadly limits its working area around a few countries and may not encompass OP's country but I'm not particularly sure about that since OP didn't say his country. There is also CoinGate which is a pretty trusted crypto site. It offers 40 different types of crypto payment but the bad thing about it is it asks for a 1% fee on all transactions, unlike CoinPayments.
5664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict Bitcoin! on: November 20, 2019, 01:21:36 PM

I do not think that the impact of halving will be so rapid or positive. It is also a mistake to rely on it as the only predictor of the price.
If we were to rely on it, partly even, impact of halving would probably show a year after it, based on what happened on the past halvings anyway. If we were to add on to a lot of things though, BTC would probably get affected by Chinas stable coin kf they were to release ot by then, Libra if they ever have the chance to gain back momentum, and Binance with its dominating spree in various countries. A lot more would probably show up, and what i gave are just a few possible examples of what might affect BTCin the future.
5665  Economy / Speculation / Re: In 3 sentence or Less- Post your Fundamental Analysis of Bitcoin on: November 20, 2019, 06:10:19 AM
Bitcoin has the ability to change fiat, but not right now since it is still growing. Bitcoin could be the future because it managed to grow from something unknown to what it is now. Bitcoin has managed to overcome 10 years of hardship, and now that a lot of people are supporting it, Bitcoin could naturally continue to do more miraculous things with the help of its supporters.
5666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your criteria to go back/sticking with one particular gambling house on: November 19, 2019, 01:47:58 PM
1. Active customer support
2. Most of my games are listed
3. Good UI, fast interaction with it
4. Instant Withdrawal
5. Active player base

Well, most of us would probably just post positive things that we would like to see on gambling houses. Quite a bit of us expect a lot from the majority of available gambling sites out there, and it's honestly not their fault that they don't keep up with our demands since once demand is done, something new pops up and well, endless cycle. I'd prioritize enhancing customer support and KYC though, a lot of people often look at that before deciding.
5667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 19, 2019, 12:42:16 PM
You're basically saying that gambling is only for those miserable bastards and people with notorious reputation with what you said there. Might be an exaggeration but you get my point. Gambling doesn't need to be stopped for one to be labelled as trust worthy. I quite like what the first  comment said.
The issue is not being a "gambler" - the issue is trust.

It's these kinds of mentality that prevent the negative image of gambling from being removed from the eyes of the masses. People already have a hard time accepting the concept of betting money, then more issues crop up because of some bad attitudes of a few gamblers, and then they assume everyone is like that jeez.

how will you defend yourself if accused as a gambler.

Bro you're already borderline saying gambling is a crime, which is not. Sure, some countries have implemented bans on gambling, but that doesn't make the action itself a crime. More like those countries see gambling with disgust because of the notion that gambling is bad.
5668  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 19, 2019, 11:16:57 AM
What do you think though, will that $8000 support hold in the next couple of hours?
Maybe in the next few hours it could. But it's honestly difficult to believe in the bulls right now. BTC dropped down from 9k slowly to 8.5k, and then dropped after a day or two from 8.5k to right now. Bearish season right now, and honestly, it doesn't show any hopes of pulling itself back. Doesn't mean that it wouldn't move on from the current bearish season after the year though.
5669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's really good have you received from the results of the gambling bounty on: November 19, 2019, 09:49:03 AM
Honestly, other than crypto, chipmixer and the other well known bounties, most of the newly released ones are either scams or pay really low, which doesn't really make joining them efficient. A lot of time spent to earn 5$. Could even take a week for that or even more if its actually worse. Then there are those projects who don't even plan on paying after the bounty. A lot better for people to discuss and join trading instead tbh. That, or people could just rest away their money in gambling.
What the hell is bounty gambling?
Bounties about gambling perhaps?

I really hope more projects appear that could invite a lot of people who could help contribute, even if they start from the bottom.
5670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social experiments in the world of gambling on: November 19, 2019, 12:36:50 AM
Bro if its money, never ever EVER help a gambler in terms of it. If it's advise or just a simple talk about what happened, I'm all in. Its a lot of fun with that kind of talk. Plus, we all know how most gamblers are in terms of money. Just like what other comments have said, be a man, buckle up, and take the loss. Geez, it ain't the end of the world for you to collapse so much with a loss in gambling.
5671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Devastating signal: bear market, 6.4k support, 12.4 resistance on: November 18, 2019, 05:01:24 PM
Do you know why I like the first paragraph of OP? It is because I am expecting bullish trend anytime soon because the moment that we have lots of bearish prediction in the market that is when bitcoin make the opposite direction move.

Oof moment to that. Though it is the trend back then when BTC went down to 7k then spiked to 10k. Though unlike the downtrend when it was 7k, we could see the current market finding a stable position to stop. With it going up and down a few 0.0 something percent every time, I really hope it finds its way back once more.

people need to understand that the latest spike from $7000 to $10000 was mostly is not organic move.

THIS. People overestimate how BTC ran from 7k to 10k in a matter of a few hours, and only that. They didn't see how the market was unsatisfied with its sudden run, so they made it go back down, no matter how slowly it was. If the run back then didn't occur, I'd expect a similar price as of now which is around 8.5k tbh.
Yep. Bearish or +- stable until end of 2020. If big run happens won't be before end of 2020.
Bearish, please. I wanna enter more investment into the scene so I might as well wait for that possibility.
5672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is sharing number conformations required is a crime? on: November 18, 2019, 03:10:28 PM
I had contacted they through chat and that tab is closed. But, I can start a chat now and can ask them for the same and even now they will give such rude and arrogant replies. They kept giving such predetermined replies for hours. I do not have any expectation from them. I think they

Just this could already bring out the idea of what kind of exchange they are and the customer service they provide. Plus, the fact that they originally refused to give out the number of transactions required, I'd immediately move on to another exchange rather than continue and try using them. It's pretty much unknown whether they used that to hide their mistakes or just a pure scam, but you should still share and file a proper report for others to see.
5673  Other / Off-topic / Re: If Other coin likely ETH Will Take over on: November 18, 2019, 11:00:19 AM
Uhh why would it even change lmao. This site aint some kind of bandwagon kind of site that literally goes to whichever place is the best to stay. A community has been built already about BTC and would stay as such for the next few years. Besides, the site already has a part where altcoins are discussed and should already be quite fine as it is right now.
5674  Economy / Economics / Re: World debt and currency reset on: November 18, 2019, 05:40:28 AM
No, no they can't just bloody wipe the debts of the world, write it off like it's a bloody joke. They must properly address such events otherwise history would only repeat itself. I'm pretty sure OP posted this because of the recent announcement of the global debt by the end of the year , which amounts to $255 trillion, which is honestly not a small amount.

I just wish the government could provide a proper solution, instead of deceiving the masses, making them accumulate more debt to pay the global debt. Them not addressing the problem early on really gives out the message that they don't give a thought about anything that could happen to the world economy.

5675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous disadvantage of web wallet. on: November 17, 2019, 02:38:18 PM
It just requires customer support attention, but the OP of the other post should still be able to get his funds back. That's a huge amount, and he still has in his hands the relevant information that proves that THAT transaction did indeed happen and that the BTC originally came from HIS account. Well, it was kind of an accident with partly OP's fault, since it was the transfer of terms that he refused upon. We also can't really blame the system of coinbase for this event, not really their fault. It is rather advisable though, that if you hold that big of an amount of BTC, get a hardware wallet instead. It's rather dangerous to hold 32BTC with web wallet imho.
5676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRX / BTC Long term hold plan on: November 17, 2019, 12:45:24 PM

Yes, I also saw the news that Justin Sun had discussed his partnership with Samsung, and I think this is good news this winter. Tron and Samsung will collaborate, which is why TRX can go to the moon or reach its ATH.

News source: https://u.today/justin-sun-on-tron-samsung-partnership-end-of-crypto-winter-next-bitcoin-ath-exclusive-interview-1

I honestly think buying TRX based on that recent partnership should only be considered for short - term investing. HODLing it for the long term based on that single partnership wouldn't really push it that high, nor would it be able to retain it's position at the top if such a thing ever happened. Besides, with BTC's halving just around the corner, other coins would have one heck of a time trying to usurp BTC from being the number one source of news, what with its possibility of reaching another ATH in 2020. Comparing that to TRX possible ATH, it really pales in comparison.
5677  Other / Meta / Re: Help my account got hacked I need help recovering it. on: November 17, 2019, 06:27:39 AM
Hi Fifa, how do i know it is safe to post my stolen account name here. are you trying to help?
Uhh why would it not be? Besides, you posting it in meta and letting other mods catch note of it could bring your support ticket forward quickly. You still need proof that it was your account (this matter could be directly said to the support themselves to conceal private info) so that they could verify that the account was really yours beforehand. Without it, i doubt the support would follow your issue.
5678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 6 on: November 17, 2019, 03:39:26 AM
Why not right? It is a free chance for a jackpot. It's like you asked me if I would grab a dropped coupon that says you get one free lottery ticket. Besides, if you have nothing better to do, might as well do as such. If you got it then yay, if you lost it then ehh, is fine. You may have lost your time waiting for it but tbh, I don't expect to spend my day in a productive manner anyway.
5679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are you gambling? on: November 16, 2019, 02:31:48 PM
Enjoying and for fun. I mostly spend around 50$ maximum but it can reach sometimes up to 70$ depending on how much I'm enjoying playing. I mostly play Offline casino, most of the time with my friends. Though there were instances where we went to gambling casinos and played together. I don't often go alone to casinos, so yup. Some may say that doing gambling as a way of stress relief may be a bit weird? or even crazy but it's actually quite nice. Seeing myself seething from rage just from cards and then comparing it to what my problems are, the problems seem like the cards now. Insignificant. So it's really fun and enjoyable.
5680  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Adoption Expanding Everywhere on: November 16, 2019, 12:50:24 PM
It is indeed rather great news for BTC. More adoption means its name spreads more means a lot more potential investors could come and enter the market which means.. one step closer to its goal of replacing fiat. Although that is still quite far in the future since the market is really really volatile at the moment and it still has to tackle a lot of issues, one of which is the acceptance of the masses of its existence or at least, knowledge of its existence.
But still this adoption is very low as compare to whole world business and marketplaces but sooner or later the adaption of bitcoin will spread everywhere.
It's not really surprising. BTC has lived for only 10 years, relatively small compared to how long the world has run its business. As for adoption, sure I'm pro with it, but it like what I said, it seriously has a lot of problems to tackle before being properly spread. We wouldn't want it to become somehow similar like a firework, where it has a momentary blinding shine but ends up in the dust by the end, right?
