Help my account got hacked I need help recovering it.

Can someone please help me, I tried contacting support but I am not getting any replies, my account got hacked last year  but I just noticed  this week because I have been away from crypto... I contacted support through appropriate email, its been days now and I still have not got a reply.

This signing thing is confusing to me as well. I have never signed my account that got hacked, can it be recovered?

What is the your account name which is hacked ?
You should move your thread in meta section and also you need to proof that the hacked account belongs to you.

Forum names or profile links are not top secret. Also the account as you claim is not under your control, you may want a DT to leave a feedback on it to deter people from dealing with the account.

A signature is necessary to prove you're the original owner of the account, it's possible to get your account recovered without it in some cases if you still have the original email address used to register the account.

We've streamlined our processes, and Cyrus has put together a team for handling these cases, so account recoveries should now be handled at a reasonable pace again. Additionally, we will be somewhat more lenient in recovering accounts without signatures, though signatures often will still be required, depending on the situation.

Uhh why would it not be? Besides, you posting it in meta and letting other mods catch note of it could bring your support ticket forward quickly. You still need proof that it was your account (this matter could be directly said to the support themselves to conceal private info) so that they could verify that the account was really yours beforehand. Without it, i doubt the support would follow your issue.

That just means, you ought to have access to the crypto address used by you, before the hacking incident. It helps in identifying if the user is the original owner of the account to the recovery team. ( You can also recover using registered email sometimes, but its case by case)

It would be more helpful for you if you post your username here, as it will make your account mostly unusable for the hacker due to the red tags. DT's here would act upon it and you can clear it up once to get the account back.

Guys, my account   that got hacked is  IggySe7ven

It got hacked last year, I  have been away from crypto for a year, maybe close to 2 years.. I am just getting back, recovering this account is a huge deal for me because I purchased a trading bot using it a few years back and it cost me hundreds of dollars and now the  creator of the bot wants me to send him a message from inside my account to verify it so I can get the licence back.

I just noticed this week that it got hacked and I actually just  looked at the activity of  the account and the person that hacked it was posting with it and got banned too... I made that account in 2013 and it got hacked in 2018...

I never made a signature because I  didn't understand anything about it.

The account that got hacked was actually under my email adress which is  myfirstname_lastname@hotmail.com and I still have all the logs from the messages and my posts inside my mailbox.... I also said that I am willing to  present my government issued ID to prove that I am that person whose name the email is in.

I never made a signature because I  didn't understand anything about it.  

There is a huge post gap between October 10, 2014 to February 25 2017 and most probably there is a chance of change in hands between the same time. Although, the email address doesn't seems to be changed as per bpip.

I see you have no crypto address posted before 2014, there is even a password change on 2018-08-06. I would suggest you going with recovery team. The account is banned for now.

Yeah. well the account got hacked  in 2018, i have the email change notice in my  mailbox, its just some bogus email that consists of a bunch of random letters , and the pass was changed the same time, the gap before that I am pretty sure it was me. The account was always under the same email which is in my name up until  2018 08 06... that's when it got hacked and I don't think I ever made a crypto signature , I didn't know about it really and didn't think I could ever get  hacked or that someone would care to hack it, I am a newb in that sense.

If you follow the steps linked on the thread above, then it might not be as slow as you thought. Account recovery is not an easy thing to do, especially with how many account sales are done here and there.

So, wait and see, and if it doesn't work out, just use a new account if you want to join the forum again.

If you declare the account name, it will be better for you because some DT member will flag that account as hacked and hence the hacker will no longer use that account in good campaigns. Once you recover your account, you can request for the tag  to be removed. Sound good to you ?

Edit: Its seems your account has been banned by wrong doings by the hacker. Nothing can be done now.

I do not think OP is in ban evasion because the OP original account was hacked.  So if that hacked account is banned, we cannot give punishment to the old owner for ban evasion.

1. I am new about the process and signature and all that stuff, I do not understand the  ins and outs of how it works.

2. My account did get hacked  last year.  I had that account since 2013 and never had issues. I have all the transcripts from account saved in my email about all my activity and then in 2018 on 08 06 my pass and email got changed to a clearly  bogus email ( dfsfsfeee@hotmail.com ) and then after that whoever was using it was posting  stuff using it and got it banned. I dont even understand what banning does really.

3. My origianal email adress is made up of my first and last name and its also same email i been using for Poloniex.

4. I never had a signature  or anything like that

5. I really need to recover it because i bought a trading bot with it  before it got hacked and  now I want to use it again but the bot maker wants me to prove my Identity by sending him a message from my account, that is why I need to recover it.

6. So  the email that I was using before it got banned from 2013 to 2017 is under my name and it has my first and last name in the email adress   and i have convesation and activity transcripts from the forum etc, I am willing to even prove my identity by providing government ID.

I suspect your account was not hacked, I dare say your account is named @ IggySe7ven, not hacked, your account has been blocked on this forum.

You have enough Alt accounts, some of your accounts have been blocked and are still active.

You want to fool all of us here, by saying the account was hacked.

Bright spot, found, about the @ mIggySe7ven account being hacked. Hackers of the @ mIggySe7ven account, have the most widely used Alt accounts at the moment. And may also be involved in selling accounts.

Good info there.

But all of this doesn't matter if the account was hacked before the connecting stuff was posted. The accounts password was changed on  2018-08-06, and there is non prior crypto address posted.

After 2018-08-06 password change, the account started posting on the local Sri Lankan thread which surely indicates a change in hand after it.
