5661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you bullish or bearish this year? on: July 27, 2021, 11:09:38 PM
I voted for bullish.

But it is still a long way to go for all of us, we have reach all time high this year, after that the market slowly goes on downward spiral reaching as long as $28k-$29k. But it does't mean that we can't end this year with another super fast rally. Still, the prime target is at least $100k, it might take months or at least the last quarter to go to $60k-$80k again and then just maybe in 2022 we will see the peak prime at 6 digits.
5662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Puts Down Bitcoin Use Rumor on: July 27, 2021, 10:32:03 PM
Amazon wouldn't benefit from the said rumour. Just the speculators who pounces on this news, takes advantage of it, pump the price and then sold off. Surprisingly, even after Amazon put down the rumour, the price is still pumping, going back to $38k now after falling from $40k->$36k.

So it's open for interpretation, no news but the price is going up, natural or artificial pump? Your guess is as good as mine.
5663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 27, 2021, 10:07:33 PM
I love it when Joey Crawford is the referee of a game I’m watching. That guy takes no shit and does a great job. The players seem to like and respect him as well. He’s gotta be getting pretty old so if he is still going I imagine it won’t be for much longer, then I’ll be searching for my new favorite NBA referee.
He retired already and he is now 69 living a peaceful life. I guess.  Cheesy 39 years of servicing the NBA and was stopped by a knee injury. I think age is also part of the reason behind it. He will be remembered obviously, because of the Tim Duncan first ejection incident of his career from laughing on the sidelines.
Bad mood + Duncan grilling him for an offensive foul. Refs had their bad days too but being professional should stay. He was later fined, suspended for the whole season and even went through anger management sessions just to get back for work. After that he admitted he made a mistake and became one of the best officials out there.

Yeah, who wouldn't forget the Crawford and Tim Duncan's incident?

But as for CP3 and Scott Foster, just a coincidence and for sure moving forward, fans are going to watch every game that Foster is the ref of every CP3 game now, specially in the playoffs.

Kemba Walker is out of the Boston Celtics line-up, what surprises me is them getting Al again, they could get someone that can really play 'true' center position, for me Al is not. Not sure why Celtics just keep trading their guard position though.
5664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: prepare for next halving on: July 27, 2021, 12:47:21 PM
The best thing is prepare for next halving event. Now very risky point to invest. one day 10% green then all think that market will be ok. but after 1 week 20% down.

2024 and 2028 are we need to focus.
Bitcoin price will rise in the long term. I think that in 7 years, we can see a price of several hundred thousand dollars for 1 bitcoin.
Check out the Stock-to-Flow model, it explains very well the rise in the price of bitcoin along the timeline.
It is not a mistake to buy bitcoin at any price, but you do not need to do it in 1 day. Split your budget and buy bitcoin every 2 weeks or month

If I may add, this is the thread for the discussion by @fillippone, Stock-to-Flow Model: Modeling Bitcoin's Value with Scarcity. Just take note though that the model is not for short term but for long term bitcoin investment.

In any case, regardless on whether when is the next halving, we should always be prepare to buy at any dip. If you think that bitcoin or any other crypto is cheap, then by all means invest on it.
5665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Obvious price push on: July 27, 2021, 04:10:59 AM
Price is based on pure speculation, so obviously, when there is a good news, the market will jump on that news and the price will obviously go up. But after Amazon has denied the rumour, then there is a sudden jump, from as high as $40k on some major exchanges to now at $36k and continue its down trend. Is this a manipulation, not sure where it's coming from, but this is crystal clear and a classic example of "buy the rumor sell the news" adage".
5666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 27, 2021, 03:08:07 AM
I just came here for another congratulatory post for our first-ever Gold medal Grin

I read a post about her Olympic journey since 2008:
2008 - second to the last
2012 - didn't finish
2016 - Silver
2020 - Gold

I also read she got financial support from a private citizen during her preparation for the competition. Just goes to show how important that is to the athletes and why developed countries usually dominate.

Well done Hidilyn Diaz! Enjoy your PHP30 Million (~$600K) reward.

Yeah, I still vividly remember watching her in 2012 summer Olympics in a gym that time.

But after that Diaz improved a lot and bring glory to the Philippines. But finally, we have achieved a very special gold that eluded us for 97 years. Every Filipino around the world should be rejoicing about this win as this is very historic day for all of us to finally hearing our national anthem. Very proud to be Filipino right now!!!.

We still have another women, Nesthy Petecio, who upsets top ranked Lin Yu-Ting of Chinese Taipei in the featherweight division. One win away from a potential medal.
5667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 26, 2021, 05:09:38 PM
Interesting to hear the Freddie Roach first choice is Mikey Garcia,

Quote
“He wasn’t my first choice,” Roach said of Spence to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports. “I was leaning toward Mikey Garcia, because he challenged us several times and so forth. When Manny picked Spence, I said, ‘Congratulations, you picked the best guy out there.’”

https://www.boxingscene.com/roach-admits-spence-not-his-first-choice-pacquiao-he-leaning-mikey-garcia--159392

That's why perhaps the Garcia's camp was surprised that Manny eventually chooses Spence and that's why the lawsuit.

But I guess Manny just wanted a bigger purse and instead goes for a bigger risk bigger reward on Errol Spence.
5668  Economy / Speculation / Re: fomoulation: the age of green dildos is upon us on: July 26, 2021, 04:09:52 PM
I didn't see the jump to $39k, when I wake up, the price is more than $38k though, I also got unlucky selling at $34k because I needed some though, prior to the massive spike, ouch.

In any case, yeah this could be the start of FOMO again, and we all know that once it sets in, it's hard to stop. But in seems that we are having some resistance on the $40k barrier. If this could be broken though,  then $50k can be touch early next week the start of new month for us.
5669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: July 26, 2021, 03:35:49 PM
I don't understand by "breaking the code", but it seems that he is giving life to that slot machine. And obviously, it is an inanimate object, so there's no such thing as breaking it. The "code", the way as I understand it is the program, either machine (processor) or software (programming language).

And I don't think that someone can break it because as we all know, it's random, whether you hit the jackpot or always got the "near miss".
5670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 25, 2021, 11:00:08 PM
They can't repeat championship, that was a one time trophy due to too many injuries on opponents. Next year there won't be this much injuries.
@redhack , basketball is a surprise box, anything can happen!!
I confess that injuries were some of the determining factors (I've never seen an NBA season with so many injuries).

There are some seasons that I've been following the performance of Giannis Antetokounmpo and I will tell you, he evolved a lot in these playoffs!! ring and mvp of the finals deserved for Antetokounmpo.

I'm very curious and anxious to seeing how the Bucks will adjust and behave with various possibly healthy teams, for example, Nets or Lakers! Will be very interesting

Yeah, we can take injuries into the account, but Bucks did their thing this season, they fought very hard every game and then we have seen Giannis evolved and matured as a elite basketball player, so we shouldn't take everything away from him.

So let's see if they can repeat next season, the good thing is that they are not the favourite, and they are an underdog so an outright bet could be good for us. And I think even if Lakers or Nets are healthy, they can still find arguments against the Bucks for winning the championship.  Grin (Lebron was too old, Nets big 3 didn't click, etc).
5671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BULL RIDE OF 2021 on: July 25, 2021, 10:29:58 PM
If you mean Axie Infinity, i totally missed out that one. I was too focused in Gods Unchained and that gave me tunnel vision that blocked other NFT projects. Still i don't regret that one, it has made me my money back numerous times now and i got some sweet airdrops by trading it. There has been some problems with it in the past but i actually am quite positive about the future.

On the contrary, I was one of those who got on the Axie Infinity craze before it exploded, so it's a huge profit for me. But as far as NFTs, I'm not into it though. On how I got on Axie infinity, well It's by chance actually, read it on some websites, investigate it myself, I even open a thread in our local last Nov 2020. Maybe I just got lucky or something.

But yeah, definitely we need to DYOR + some luck on your side before you can make some money out of the current hype.
5672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional buyers are not backing down. More Pump? on: July 25, 2021, 10:04:05 PM
This is good news because intuition join and what the MicroStrategy does many institutions will follow it. And I think the employees who know about crypto will say "good idea". What happens if dump massive, i think this is only about the time and the price will recover, so MicroStrategy also must tell their client about this
Doesnt matter on what company or instutional buyers would engage out in crypto market specially with bitcoin or into some top altcoins. For sure they would really create some good pump but we
know that we do share the same common goal which is to make profit and not really thinking off about totally supporting this decentralized idea. They are totally opposing it as we know
but since with this kind of opportunity on where they could possibly able to hook up some profits and since they are financially capable then its no surprise that they would really
be just minding about that stuff nothingless.

Or more involvement from retails and average jo investors just like the majority of us. Institutions have been here I believed as early as 2017, prior the the break out year we had that time that's why we achieved an all time high. And then it was highlighted again late 2020 and it's still going on till 2021 although the price somewhat minus 50% after a great and super fast bull run we had in the first half of the year.

Of course everyone here is for the profit, regardless of whales, whale streets, institutions and retail investors, that's already a given fact. Just a matter of strategy on how to make money specially for average joe's.
5673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: July 25, 2021, 09:30:45 PM
I still take this news with a grain of salt, we have somewhat heard this kind of news since the last bull run we have in 2017 and yet it didn't materialised. So I will not get excited about it, and as you can see they are really planning to have their own token. And it may backfire on them, similar to what Facebook/Libra, lots of hailstorm coming from regulatory bodies around the globe. If they accept BTC then good for the market, otherwise, fingers crossed.
5674  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 24, 2021, 10:52:27 PM

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/7/20/22585577/oscar-valdez-vs-robson-conceicao-official-september-10-tucson-boxing-news-2021

After his huge win against Miguel Berchelt to snatch the WBC super featherweight belt, Oscar Valdez returns and defends his crown against Olympic gold medalist Robson Conceicao.

I know some of you might be disappointed on choosing a relatively unknown boxer in the division, but I think Valdez is taking it slowly as he just move up in this division and probably still feeling the weight category that's why he chooses Conceicao.

Odds are not yet out, but I reckon that Valdez will be the favourite here. Hopefully we will see another fight of the year performance from Oscar and keep this division alive.
5675  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc market up on: July 24, 2021, 10:26:08 PM
to day bictocin price many more increased.
now a days bitcoin price 33,912.08$.
i hope and believe that bitcoin price will be up 35,000.
but we have few time waite.

I would say that $35k is a big mental barrier right now, but we can do it, I think around last month we have been trading along that line so yeah, even though its weekend and usually trade is somewhat slow, I could see it hitting that price maybe in the next 24 hours or so.

And then we will see what happens next, if we can sustain that run or not and then go $38k. Not saying that this is the reversal that we all have been waiting for, but it's time that we end this month in a good note around $35k.
5676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 22, 2021, 11:50:26 PM
What a great job have Milwaukee Bucks done! Congratulations to them!

It looks like Giannis is enjoying himself but still remaining a class act.  Ordering a 50 piece chicken meal the day after scoring 50 in the NBA Finals...  Hilarious.  Even at the parade he seemed to be trying to keep his comedy act rolling while having a good time instead of dumping champagne all over himself like a lot of players do during their victory parade celebrations (if he did I didn't see it).  The question now I guess is where does Giannis go when his contract is up.  He always said he would leave the Bucks until he made them a championship team...  Mission accomplished.  Maybe we'll see him end up playing with Steph Curry at some point in the future.

Well there is a rumour after the all-star break that he will joined Steph in the future.

But since he accomplished it by himself with the help of Middleton and Holiday, I think he will stay with the Bucks and defend the title, or at least see how far they can go again next season. And after his contract expires, then he can make a decision. I agree with the class act though, it was really an unexpected title run for them since the Nets are the favourite to win because of KD+Irving then Harden joining later.
5677  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has fallen below 30,000. Is there still room for appreciation in the future on: July 22, 2021, 12:24:34 PM
Since Musk banned BTC from acquiring Tesla, it has plummeted. When will it rebound? Smiley Smiley Smiley Kiss Kiss
Elon isn't exactly creating a rift for bitcoin and this space.  But it seems that he is also one of those who are also optimistic and pro-bitcoin, things should be viewed fairly and consistently.  I don't think Elon is playing with the world, he's not stupid.  The drop from 65k could be a cycle with many other problems, same reason.  And now, they just see him as a simple "Tesla doesn't accept bitcoin" decision, which really isn't.  I guess, I'm not defending him, but Elon market dynamics play an important role.  Certainly the outcome of the meeting that we know roughly.
I believe that Elon saying that he is looking at sustainability and being able to accept bitcoin again when the renewable energy results in is a huge motivator for us to go to 64k again.

some people do not believe in the sound of birds from Elon Musk on Twitter and some still believe in Elon Musk's tweets on Twitter.
then the graph that we see in an hour the graph rises and in an hour bitcoin falls again.
so there's no need to worry and ignore the problem that bitcoin could fall back below $30,000, because there are still many pro-bitcoins that last longer, maybe for them the future will look bright.

But for sure, his influence is going down, it has no such effect on the market unlike before wherein he was treated like a demi-god or something. Every tweet of his shakes the market upside down. But since then, people realised what a gizzard Elon Musk is, self-centered and only concerns how much he can make out of this market.

Obviously, there's a lot of wiggle room to make here, we haven't reach the last quarter of the year. I'm expecting a big move during that time, heck a possible 6 digit is still there.
5678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the basic difference bitcoin and ethereum? on: July 21, 2021, 11:04:29 PM
...Decentralized applications are run from source code running on the blockchain network so these applications are not controlled by any individual or organization.
The "decentralized" in Dapps is quite misleading. You could interact with these applications without the need of a middle man but I wouldn't go as far as saying nobody can control them. I am pretty sure you've read about hacked DeFi platforms freezing activities like farming and staking pools.

And it's also hard to update Dapps, and much harder to maintain, specially if it become too complex.

For the updates, you need every node to comply so it might take some time as other nodes might not cooperate, you need a consensus, per se.

And then the security risks that you mentioned, it's the most important part of maintaining Dapps. So I would say it has it's limitations as compare to bitcoin.
5679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 21, 2021, 03:00:06 PM
Suns fans, it's okay guys, there's still next season, the Suns reach this far but Bucks were the better team. they should keep the roster intact, maybe add some upgrade and hopefully next season they'll be able to compete in the NBA Finals again.

Congratulations to the Bucks, they deserved the win, Giannis was at his best in the NBA finals, he really want to win and prove other people that still has doubt on him, he is not a choker, he is a real star now.

Right, I think losing against Toronto 2019 and then Miami 2020 really made Bucks more resilient this year. Specially facing the same adversity against the highly touted Nets 0-2 and then win the next 4. But if not for that big foot of KD, they wouldn't be in the finals.

But in any case, Giannis put one hell of a stellar performance in game 6 and throughout this series. Just a question on how many championship they are going to have with Giannis almost getting into his prime years.
5680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: July 20, 2021, 11:05:03 PM
quite surprised that there are still many people who are deceived by the fake giveaway program....even though there's been a lot of news about this kind of fake giveaway, the greedy and stupid ones are still there.

It's because these cyber criminals knows how to play with someone's emotion. That is their first mode of attack, offer someone big in return. So obviously, newbies and even experienced investors most of the time will fall for this scheme.

And they know that they've been scammed when it's too late. Yes, they learn their expensive lessons, but there could be new set of beginners that are going to be trap again, it's going to be cyclical. The only weapon for this kind of scheme is too really used our common sense and don't easily believe this kind of giveaways because there is none. No one will give your free BTC in this market.
